Suggestion: Transmutation Charges

OriOri.8724

Why don’t you use the preview window to see how much you like an outfit before transmuting all of it? Personally between just the charges I get in the login gifts and from the reward tracks I have more than I could use. They drop pretty often truthfully, most if not all reward tracks give you 4 charges and its not that hard to finish an entire track, especially with boosters going and if you do the dailies to get the track exp potions

The preview gives a decent idea, but there can be unexpected clipping issues, or different textures in a mix and match set make the colour schemes a bit ‘off’ in different lighting. It’s nitpicky for sure, but something I consider important. Mostly though, I just put an outfit together and it’s solid, but then after a while come up with an idea to make it even better, and absolutely have to change.

Well thats fair.

The only major change that I would really like is an option to revert a transmuted item to its original state without cost.

This would be nice to have as well, but again not something that the game needs for me to enjoy it.

Come on man, the rewards are already easy to get. There are guides everywhere on how to get 30 HoM points in a few hours tops. If you want them that bad then go buy the game and play it. But you are certainly not entitled to those rewards just because you don’t feel like playing GW1

This is exactly what the bloodlust ruins were implemented for. Small scale pvp fights. They replaced the lake in the middle of the ABL, remove the krait and quaggans and created a place for roamers and solo players to meet up and fight at (capture points)

It caught on originally, then died off and people still tend to hang out just north of s camp in ABL. Or in EBG by an opposing keep.

Personally I would be more interested in those ruins and fighting for them if they didn’t start decaying at almost the same rate you capture them as soon as you step off them. Not its kind if like whats the point unless I have multiple other people here, yet not here, to keep at least 3 capped at all times. Its not conducive to encouraging fights if it makes you run off as soon as its capped because the one you just capped previously is almost neutral again. Would much rather have a 5 minute timer before it starts to decap unless a player from another server tries to steal it. This would also possibly help reduce the amount of people afking and capping a ruin every 10 min to get their GoB

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Destroyer_Scythe
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Primitive_Pike_
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Primitive_Pillar_

My Solution Idea:

Anet should just give us a reward track that rewards 1 PvP-Legacy-Token in the end reward chest
And then add a merchant that offers 1 out of ALL of these skins for exactly 1 of those new tokens

no need to come up with tons of different reward tracks or add many different skins to many different merchants or boxes…
(Although you really had good ideas where to add the currently unavailable armors/weapon where they would fit^^)
Everythign would be easily understandable and easy to manage like this

Thats a perfect solution without much work needed …
just change the current PvP Legacy Reward Track to give that token in the end instead of the Legacy Chest and then implement that new merchant (maybe where the Bank & TP used to be previously)
Everyone is happy and it wouldn’t be much work for Anet i think

+1 to this idea

Go play GW1. I’m planning on buying it as soon as I have both the money and the time to play it to get those points. There are even tons of guides out there on how to get 30 HoM points quickly, or even all 50 (but that requires significantly more effort from my understanding). The players who did that deserve the exclusive rewards that comes with it. If you aren’t willing to do that then you don’t deserve any of them

Suggestion: Transmutation Charges

OriOri.8724

I never really saw the point in requiring transmutation charges to change your appearance since they are given out like candy.

I dunno man, they used to give the transmutation stones (good for level 1-79 items) out like candy, but since the wardrobe change you have to go out of your way to play the content that awards ’em. Some people just find a look they like and stick to it, but the real Fashion Wars elite have at least one of each profession and are constantly tweaking and updating character looks. I know I never have enough charges, ever.

The system could be a little friendlier, I think. Right now you have to really be sure about a look before transmuting it. I often go through at least two ‘drafts’ and a bunch of wasted charges before I am completely satisfied with an armour combination. I would suggest:

(a) All gem store skins are free to apply for the entire account.

(b) Any skin you transmute onto gear with a particular character then becomes free to apply for that character

GW2 needs new gamemode

A true deathmatch would be fun to have in unranked, but I wouldn’t want it in ranked mode. Because I feel that most of the time it would turn into 5v5 instead of multiple 1v1 or 1v2 fights around the field.

And no conquest doesn’t punish stealth it balances it. How the kitten is it fair to allow you to continue to cap/contest a point if no one can see you in order to attack you and try to get you off? A thief can easily stack more than enough stealth on themselves to completely cap a point without ever leaving stealth, and yes its poor play by the other team to not stand on the node and contest it, but at the same time its broken in your favor if you could do that

So far I have found Mesmer to be the most fun. Leveling sucks, especially if it is your first character. But the class is so versatile with so many unique and situational skills. Also has one of the highest skill ceilings I have found in games

Lol the people who constantly delete characters are the ones who want account wide gifts because it helps them more. The people who never delete anything and have a bazillion characters want character based gifts because it helps them more.

I think it makes more sense to have character based birthdays be just some boosters and the other gifts moved to an account gift system. It really doesn’t make sense to be giving out multiple Queen Jenna minnis for example.

Inconsistencies in Story Achievements

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: OriOri.8724

OriOri.8724

The buffs only show you achievements that you are eligible to receive. Any achievement that actually requires you to finish the instance to receive will continue to tell you that you are eligible for it even after you finish the requirements. Likewise, achievements that require a special starting condition will sometimes not show until that condition is met because until it is you won’t be eligible for it (though I agree its kind of random which buffs show up at the start of instances and which ones don’t).

For your other complaints, the chak killer is the only HoT story achievement that doesn’t show progress iirc, and for your last point it doesn’t mock the story. You fought your way across SW with a full team facing enemies you knew how to fight. You fought your way through VB with most of your team with you at all times, again fighting mostly mordrem enemies (which you are familiar with) with some local saurians. Same thing with AB. Yet in the instance with the chak killer achievement, you have never seen a chak before and its just you and Bram. Not to mention that if you go exploring more in TD and DS you will notice that at the bottom of the pit there is an entrance to a chak hive. For the purposes of the instance its closed. But to your character and Bram it could very well be open lorewise and hundreds more chak could come pouring out to join the fight. On top of that even, you never fought ~60 tough enemies at once with your group in any of those other maps, yet that is approximately how many chak are in that pit.

No. The correct conclusion is that most of the people (I’d say roughtly 70 percent) who stopped playing because of DBL when HoT was released, have never come back, hence the recent poll result.

No, this is a bullkitten kitten “conclusion” that you pulled out of your behind because you just cannot bear the thought that the majority of GW2 players do not share your distaste for a particular map. You people can literally never be happy. With the way this nnew poll went you will never even be forced to play on DBL because there will always be 2ABL maps (unless ANet introduces a new WvW map). Just accept that and be happy that you aren’t forced to play on a map you don’t enjoy.

His conclusion is actually spot on. Tons of wvw people quit gw2 when DBL came and never returned. Granted it was not only the DBL, but this was what put them over the edge. How do I know this? 12 wvw people I knew did exactly this. Buy hey, maybe those 12 guys are the only ones who did this, amirite?

12 of your friends is not statistically significant. There are lots of people that know 12 other players that only started playing WvW because of ABL being removed temporarily and DBL coming in. You can’t use anecdotes like that. The fact remains that more than 3 people voted to keep DBL for every 1 person that voted to remove it. You said it yourself, DBL was not why they quit.

For all of the people claming that people quit WvW because of DBL I pose a question. Why did these players not come back when ABL came back if they really did leave because of DBL? People came back for the WvW update that happened a full 2 weeks before ABL was put back in rotation and the population has been dropping since. People didn’t come back for ABL, which means they didn’t leave just because of DBL. DBL might have been a convenient excuse to quit a game mode that they no longer enjoyed because it hasn’t been taken care of, but they did not leave because of DBL.

The walls might not do a very effective job of blocking progress, but they do count as targets for the enemy Mordrem, which often waste a lot of time attacking them and trying to destroy them. This is particularly true for the vines that spawn a ways away, and might waste their projectile attacks repeatedly on the walls rather than targeting players who are fighting the bigger threats.

They attack the walls when you are in the camp? I’ve seen them target players and NPCs that are cowering behind the walls before, but never the walls themselves (also, this kind of defeats a large part of the walls if they provide no cover from the tendril attacks)

Thanks for the answer.

Is there any chances for the cap to rise? 1000 is very low cap considering the huge size of the halls. Ours still feels almost empty at cap and we don’t even have the lvl 40 exploration yet.

1000 would be fine for a hall 1/10 of current size.

I did not write this code so I unfortunately do not have a definite answer to this, but I think this number is based on a technical constraint.

I do want to discuss that there is discrepancy between what is being stated as the actual intended cap for decorations. Two say it is 2000. One says it is 1000. They are both recent statements that were made by official employees of Anet. I am just pointing out the conflicting statement and hoping someone here (an employee with the codes in front of them) can recheck and confirm what it is. I am pretty sure that is a reasonable request.

I checked the code before I posted my original reply.

Technical constraint? That’s unfortunate. Hopefully you guys can figure out a way to increase the limit, because the halls are really huge

WvW Poll 27 June: Simultaneous Borderlands

I don’t like either of these options. Why couldn’t it be a simple

“Do you want to have simultaneous borderlands?”
or
“Do you want to rotate the borderlands?”

We had that poll. 2 Alpine and 1 Desert won.

We had those options in a similar poll. I don’t remember how many more votes 2ABL and 1DBL got than the other way around. However, that poll was very controversial with many, many people on these forums crying about how they would have picked another option if it had been clearer, and you had people who were voting to remove DBL entirely in that poll. If the two options were close at all, it could be skewed due to people being confused or voting to remove DBL entirely.

I still think that this poll should have just been

“Do you want to rotate BL or have simultaneous BL?” and then a follow up poll to get better details. I mean hell I know there are a lot of people that don’t want simultaneous BL but also don’t want 3 months of a single BL at a time, so they don’t get an option that accurately reflects their wants in this poll. Its just a bad poll in my opinion and it will end with a fair amount of players not happy with the results

When All Elder Dragons are Dead

Either every 3,000 years or 11,000 years from what we’ve been able to gather – depending on whether the Priory is right, or all our lore on ancient races proves the Priory wrong.

But if the jotun are any indication, the Elder Dragons are pretty crappy at wiping all life every cycle – after all, they have knowledge of multiple dragonrises prior to the current one. And from Hidden Arcana, it seems that the tengu and charr survived the last dragonrise without Glint’s aid.

I never took the lore to mean that the elder dragons intentionally wiped out all life in the world every time they woke up. I mean just from Zhaitan and Mordremoth it seems more like they have a certain goal in mind (we’ve been told that they think differently from other sentient creatures, so its probably a goal we don’t understand) and won’t hesitate to kill anything that gets in their way. It always seemed that until your character made it personal with the dragon he just saw you as something in the way of his goal and therefor he was clearing the way to his goal.

Gift of Battle Feedback [merged]

OriOri.8724

Nah i think having it on a wvw track is a good idea but the reward track system should be implemented a little better. I don’t think having a cap on the amount of points you can get per tick is good, after you reach that cap you can’t do anything at all to gain additional progress and it puts a needless time gate on getting that gift of battle while in the meantime you aren’t encouraged to do much more if your only goal in wvw was to go after that gift.

One idea i have is that perhaps it could get exponentially harder to get to the next tier of points per tick, there would continue to be a point to participating in wvw content to get even faster progress on the track.

Another idea is to have no cap on points per tick at all but instead to have a cap on rewards per day. It could even be balanced exactly as it is now so that you couldn’t exceed the amount of rewards you could get in a day through the current system but it would be better because even if you don’t like wvw you would be encouraged to participate more to min max the time spent in wvw versus the reward track progress

I think this is a good idea for WvW. Don’t put a cap on how much progress you can get per tick. Let players continuously up their participation level, if they are active enough in WvW to be earning 1,000 points per tick then who am I to stop them? But cap how much reward track progress they can make in a day. This would give PvE players the option to get a decent progress, about 500 ish) and sit AFK till the track is done, or to continuously be active in WvW and potentially finish the track in 1/3 the time or less

I don’t like having 2 ABL and 1 DBL, and I also hate the thought of having 3 months of ABL at a time. The two options I listed are enough to know whether the community wants simultaneous borderlands or not. And then after that you should have held another poll to get the details.

If rotating won then you should have had a new poll with a timeline (rotate every 1, 2, 3 months). And if simultaneous had won you should have had a new poll with whether we wanted 1 DBL and 2 ABL, 2 DBL and 1 ABL or 1 of each and you guys start working on a third BL map. But as it is this was a bad poll. I don’t want 2 ABL as I hate those maps, but seeing as how that is likely to win at this point, it means that I will never get 2DBL and 1 ABL which is what I would prefer

Do you miss hardmode/vanquish ?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: OriOri.8724

OriOri.8724

They could somewhat easily implement a new group of “fractals” for this purpose. It would be a limited number of maps that you enter as a party. But by their nature they are instanced maps where Anet could keep the mobs from respawning, so it would be perfect for such a mode.

Uhh, maybe. How long has it taken them to implement 1 new fractal? Two years now? More?

The more I think of it, hard mode/vanquishing in dungeons will really only work with new AI. Mobs are stupid. It would be nice to see some scattering, evading, flanking, more intelligent AI. I thought they were working on that before HoT, (that build a better centaur thing) haven’t really heard if that was actually implemented into HoT.

Since dungeons are supposedly abandoned by dev team and they are “all-hands on deck” for the next xpac. I can’t see them ever implementing this. Shame because I really feel there’s a niche for that with the community and add more difficulty to already existing content.

However, with their track record it would probably be too much a chore for players to bother and very little reward to justify the effort.

Just because they haven’t put out a fractal in 2 years doesn’t mean it takes them 2 years to make a new one. The system for instanced maps that you can enter either solo or with a party and have tougher than regular mobs already exists, and its simple for ANet to set the maps so that nothing revives, only the mobs that are there at start or spawn as an ambush when you enter an area would exist. That system is already in place, so it would not be that much work to make a new “fractal” that has the same skin as a portion of an existing map and serves as this vanquish ground where you have to kill everything.

And mobs in HoT do use the new AI. Its not that easy to notice if you don’t look for it, but the way they fight is much more intelligent than central tyria mobs

Why Mes is in the worst spot ever

in Mesmer

Posted by: OriOri.8724

OriOri.8724

I disgaree. Chronos are not forced into the choices you have outlined in your post if they want to be competitive in PvP. You merely picked the easiest to play build (which, ironically, is the build most people are built to counter if they are trying to fight you, which makes it easier on them).

If you are a truly good chronomancer you won’t be forced into this build in order to play a good/great game. The people that feel forced into this build are the mediocre players that don’t really understand the class well enough to come up with their own build

This is overly simplified. The reality is the meta determines the build. I can p;ay a great game of power shatter, be really skilled at it, but that doesn’t mean it’ll contribute to a win. Nor does it mean I brought everything that I could have to the team. In fact history has shown us that the issue with Mes has always been not “are we good at XYZ” but rather “doesnt this other class/build do XYZ better than us?”

The fact you won’t get past though is that, once our build, whatever the build, runs out of shatters we’re dead in the water. So any build (and only those builds) that can fascilitate Maximum illusion generation, in conjunction with maximum shatter potential, are the strongest and most viable. Arguably, viability stops at the point you have no more F1-F4’s left to fire. Because, as has already been stated, our weapon sets bring very, very little to the table of what we need.

Of course there are a few exceptions, but those things do not make things stand on their own (I’m talking chaos storm on its massive CD, or an iWave CC for an interrupt – assuming you can even get them to land vs the aegis, invuln, evade, stability spam etc XD ).

Again, this is just describing someone who isn’t that great with the class. Apparently you have missed all the posts in this subforum recently with people making it to legendary this season with a power shatter, support or lockdown builds. Its entirely possible to play nearly any build you want and still be a huge help to the team if you are good at it.

And quite frankly, just because you are playing the meta build does not mean you are bringing anything to your team. By far most of the people i have met running the meta battle builds for mesmer suck kitten , doesn’t matter if it is a ranked game or an unranked game. They play a build someone else gave them because they are not good enough with the class to design a build that fits their playstyle.

Yes, a mesmer relies pretty heavily on their shatters. But again part of being good at the class is knowing when to use a shatter and when not to. Its two separate things to be a great mesmer and burn through your shatters trying to help in a 2v3 fight near the end of the game and end up dead at the end but helped your team secure the point than it is to blow through all of your shatters on a 1v1 that should have been quick and easy because you just don’t know how to play the class and when to use shatters. Mesmers are not locked down into a single build in this season. The only people who think so are the ones who can’t design a viable build for their own playstyle. It will always be easier to be great at a class if you figure out your playstyle and make a build to suit it than it will be to copy a build someone else made and attempt the change your playstyle to suit that new build.

The gift of battle reward track forces PvE players who want legendaries to be in WvW for a period of time to FARM the thing.

I had to go spend hours upon hours in PvE land trying to get my gift of exploration and I am a WvW player who hates to do PvE. PvE players should be forced to play my game mode just like I am forced to play theirs if they want legendaries like I did. I think ANet put the gift of battle perfectly in line with how much of a pain it is to do PvE for WvW players like myself.

With petty people like you running around in WvW, who in their right mind would even want to go there? Wishing your own discomfort on others is just a sign that you’re not over it. And think about this: disgruntled PvE players in WvW can do a lot more damage than disgruntled WvW players in PvE. I’m not one of them, but if you’ve kept up to date on this discussion, you know there are plenty out there thinking about it, and probably plenty also doing it. But enjoy your WvW, if you even still do in its current state.

Care bear. I play WvW daily, it’s the best mode in the game. I enjoy it greatly. What I don’t enjoy is when anet forces me in to PvE to get things I want that are only available there. This is the only thing PvE players are forced into WvW for. Get over yourself.

1 – You sound extremely entitled

2 – You don’t even understand the complaints that people have over this issue. Until you do please stop just posting nonsense and QQing about it being “fair that PvE players have to suffer because I had to suffer” That doesn’t even make sense

3 – Players are upset because the communication over this change was pretty much non existent. 1 sentence buried at the bottom of patch notes almost 20 thousands words long. A sentence that wasn’t even under general game changes, but in the WvW section, a section that players who don’t play WvW will probably not even read. No date was given, it only said it would be removed when WvW reward tracks were removed from beta. But no announcement was given on a date for that either. Apparently there was a poll, again though the link to that poll was in the WvW forum, a forum that people who don’t play WvW wouldn’t read. So the vast majority of PvE players didn’t know that the change was coming, or for the few that did they never were told a date. ANet never made it easily accessible (ie an in game mail to all players) knowledge that the vendor was going to be removed in this patch. They never did. They actually went through a pretty large amount of effort to not make this information easily available to every player in the game even though it affects every player in every mode who may ever want a legendary. That is not ok. Especially when it invalidates all of the work that people already put in to get their gifts of battle.

Whether or not you agree that 500 badges was a fair price for the gift of battle does not change the fact that thousands of players put in the effort to get 500 badges so they could buy the gift of battle when they needed it, and now that was taken away from them. That is not ok because its just invalidating work that they did.

Grow up, realize that this isn’t about you and how much you had to “suffer” through PvE to get your gift of exploration, and that people are genuinely, and rightly, upset and kittened at a royal lack of communication on a very significant change that invalidated the work that a lot of players put into the game. That is never an ok thing for a company to do with their game.

Why no Slayer achievements for HoT mobs?

One of the reasons why there is no slayer achievements is because incrementing the slayer achievements require kill credit. The VAST majority of HoT mobs give no kill credit. Kill credit mobs give out XP, Loot, and increment stacking sigils as well as increment slayer achievements. XP and loot was moved to events in HoT and disabled for most individual mobs.

It may not be the main reason, but it will never happen because it would require a complete overhaul of the reward structure of HoT.

Hmm that’s interesting to know. I never noticed until you pointed it out. I still feel though that ANet should put in the effort to add in the achievements that HoT should have got (like the slayer achievements), even if they do keep most of the mobs without loot

They could somewhat easily implement a new group of “fractals” for this purpose. It would be a limited number of maps that you enter as a party. But by their nature they are instanced maps where Anet could keep the mobs from respawning, so it would be perfect for such a mode.

What makes you think they won’t be doing multiple elite specs for each class instead of new professions? That’s what the whole work of making reward tracks, new weapons and new traits was all about. It’s how this game is going to give us new professions.

So seeing some new classes first would be nice

Elite specializations. Part one

In our reveal of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™, we told you that specializations are our way of giving existing professions new skills and traits.

Elite specialization. Part two

You’ll also learn how you can gain access to elite specializations, which will turn your profession into something truly new!

What I’m saying is each time an expansion rolls around and a new elite specizalation is introduced it will be less and less likely to ever see a new class. If 3 years from now we have 4 elite specizalations then adding a new class would be hard because on top of the new class 4 elite specizalations would need to be added with it.

Not true. Yes designing an entire class is more difficult than designing an elite spec for an existing class, but it is still easier than introducing 9 new elite specs at the same time. Each class had 5 trait lines in the core class, and 4 types of skills. Just in terms of number of traits and skills thats equal to about 4-5 elite specs in terms of what would need to be made. So even if ANet would have to add 3 elite specs on top of that when introducing the class, it would still be less work than creating 9 entirely new elite specs

Chak hate

I hated them at first. But nothing fuels my hatred as much as the Mushrooms. By far the deadliest mobs in all of Heart of Thorns. At least if you pull more than 2 of them.

I actually kind of like pocket raptors now. I almost feel guilty when I vault and one shot them all.

The sharpshooter mordrem and shadowleaper frogs are also quite annoying. I think there has probably been more deaths to sharpshooter ground lazer of doom than to any other mob in this expansion. (Outside of raid bosses.)

Yup. The mushrooms are awful, definitely some of my least liked mobs in the entire game

Fastest way to Trailblazers gear?

The fastest way would be to join a squad that is doing the meta, preferably on multiple maps. Completing a lot of those events is either not feasible or not worth it timewise if you are soloing it. But in a prepared squad you can get a lot of the sparks fairly quickly

I think it would be nice if the walls were updated to stop mordrem. The walls should block their attacks as well as push mordrem out away from the points of entry. Another possible thing could be to clear the camp of XX% of modrem everytime it gets upgraded. This would provide more incentive for people to upgrade the camps, as well as provide some sort of boon to having some of your possible defenders leaving the camp to go forage for supplies

I dont even like that skill but it is not broken, it is working as intended. Just wait out the assault and then portal back and you will be able to heal in peace

Serious question: Why have a target limit?

in WvW

Posted by: OriOri.8724

OriOri.8724

removing the limit would encourage blob wars and also make WvW much less fun for a lot of players. There is no good reason why 5-10 elementalists and mesmers should be able to completely stop and/or wipe a 50+ man zerg by putting all of their AoEs in a choke point. At the same time, if target limits were removed this would also buff the zerg by allowing a single player to buff the entire zerg with whatever buff they have. This makes it even easier to keep boons up 100% of the time as you would only have to worry about 1 person using the skill at a time, so you would always have someone where it isn’t on cooldown. Portals without limits would be kittening broken if the mesmer manages to get into a keep or hell even into SM and hide successfully. They could portal an entire zerg inside the first or second set of walls and then the walls are useless. This just introduces more problems than keeping the limit at 10

What if Util groups were in 3's

No. The point of having 4 utitlity skills is that you are forced to choose. If all 4 could be traited at the same time, and if you could use all 4 at the same time then it would be overpowered and there would be a lot less build variety involved in general

Woah that does look like it was a fun game. What was the best play you saw in it?

The best play was right at the end when we capped home and then took out the beast for the win. There were lots though…insane skirmishes at mid. All 3 points were constantly being contested. It was just a real great game.

Nice! I had my first balanced ranked match yesterday, 500 – 498 in our favor. We were actually losing most of the match and at the end we managed to cap all three points in temple of silent storm while 10 points behind. The other team got 1 point 1 second too late to keep their lead. It was intense and a very fun match. I wish more of them were like that

Eh it divides the good mesmsers from the great ones. I am firmly in the former category, and working towards the latter.

If you can avoid being killed in 5 minutes (the show buff expires after 5 mins), you go back to being regular inviso-mesmer, after that the enemy gets apathetic and gives up. I’ve done it a couple of times, but not consistently — so it gives me something to work towards.

I fall more into the category of really bad mesmer, which is why I never play it

Only way to get better is to play it more

I know some people that can make almost 2,000 gold a month off of the AB farm, so if you really hate farming mats and don’t mind AB that much this would be much quicker. Personally I don’t like the event quite that much so I’m farming the materials for my legendary and am going to craft it, knowing full well that it will take me a long time

I’ve always took that as the exalted are expunging the pure uncorruptable energy that their body is made out of as a means to push the mordrem back – similar to the reaction the mordrem had to divine fire in the end of S2 (which never showed again…).

Removing the mask may be part of doing that.

Yea the divine fire was cool. I don’t remember the process we went through to get it, but I’m pretty sure it was extremely difficult to conjure right? Not something that we could just use whenever we felt like it. But yes I saw the exalted saving Tahrir as doing the same thing.

How does Alacrity works

in Mesmer

Posted by: OriOri.8724

OriOri.8724

Alacrity applies to any cooldown you have while under the effect of alacrity. It doesn’t matter if the cooldown started before, at the same time, or after you got the alacrity effect.

You’ve just started HoT so you probably aren’t that far in the Chronomancer line yet. But you unlock two traits that are hugely helpful with Alacrity. One of them grants you an additional 2 seconds of alacrity if you are standing in a well when it ends, and the other increases the duration of alacrity applied to you by 50% .With these two traits on you can get 10.5 seconds of alacrity just from your Well of Recall.

Its a huge buff to everything, your DPS, your survivability, your ability to escape sticky situations. Don’t underestimate it, and be sure to use your shatters often to keep it up as much as possible
