Their are loads of sets that already clip with it’s own pieces, a few more clipping issues won’t bother me. A design unique to Ad infinitum shouldn’t be asking too much, as it’s a legendary after all.

Legendaries should stand out and they just do that, but not when you keep a shield around. Maybe just put an “always visible” on all backs, that if turned on will show your back even if you wear a shield, and when off it does the current crap.

Why aren’t we talking about the real issues here? Why does my back piece show on my shield when drawn, then jump to my back? That’s the real issue here.

Well if you would just make it visible at all times you could at least fix that problem for some people.

Exactly, backpacks should have an option to always be visible, and a shield would just go on top of it and more than likely clip it when you aren’t in combat.

I agree on reverting the nerf to Well of Precognition. I’ve tried putting it on my bar but even in PvE I can’t justify taking it anymore. It just really isn’t helpful.

About the Chrono trait Alls well that ends well it doesn’t need to grant more alacrity. Its already pretty easy to have 100% alacrity uptime for your group in fractals and raids, and in WvW depending on what build you took. If you want your Alacrity from this trait to have a bigger impact them petition ANet to buff it a little bit. I agree that 66% was much too much, but I do think that it could be buffed up from 33% a bit without being gamebreaking. But if they buff alacrity at all it just makes it all that less likely that we will ever be anything other than an alacrity bot so on the other hand I kinda don’t want it buffed at all.

The best part about any wings is folding them up to rest under a shield , And having them come flying out for the attack .
If any of my wings showed all 100% of the time I wouldn’t be able to wear any wings .

It’s un-natural for a winged creature to not “hide” their wings when at ease.

What? None of the backpacks period “fold up” and hide behind your shield. They just flat out disappear and reappear. Not only does it look bad as it causes a break, but its horrible that people are forced to pick whether they want a shield or a legendary backpiece because they can’t see both at the same time when not in combat

I hear you. We have same problem.

lol – with those #s how did ANY “reds” in that group get downed?

It’s interesting you notice that. The “reds” you see dead or downed are SF. CD’s zerg is steamrolling over SF’s zerg on their way to my little group of 4 or 5.

LOL

But, we don’t care. We always manage to kill one or two before we succumb to the wizardry of Anet’s WvW mechanics.

I’d also like to point out, CD never engages us unless and until they are in their zerg. When my partner and I encounter 1-3 of them out there, we pursue, but they always run. What’s up with that? I mean, come on.

Not all players on CD fight only in blobs. I quite frequently will take a camp with another CD player while 1 or 2 players are trying to defend it. We don’t always run. Only time I run is when I really just don’t feel like fighting anyone.

To be honest they could make resistance only affect damaging conditions and then rebalance skills that give resistance to take into account this new vulnerability.

For example berserker stance might become 40s CD.
Mallyx might get a boost to self resistance duration and the heal removes debilitating conditions.
Adjust temporal enchanter back to 3s resistance and superspeed.
Guardian conversion remains the same and durability doesn’t need a buff.

There’s so much stuff to get rid of or reduce soft CC duration that resistance really doesn’t need to affect those conditions too.

There are better solutions. For one, Resistance combines the effects of stability and Protection against condis. So right away there are balance issues here. Not only does it do the work of 2 other boons, but its better than protection is against power damage anyway.

So absolute least amount of balancing needed is for Resistance to be changed to only ignore 33% of damage from condis as well as ignore all CC effects from them. Really though Resistance needs to be split. It either needs to ignore all (much more balanced would be to just ignore 33-50%) of condi damage. Or it needs to provide immunity from all CC effects of condis (chill, cripple, slow, immobilize, etc…). But it shouldn’t be doing both. And when ANet does this they should introduce a new boon that does the other part. Then they can balance skills that give resistance around either ignoring condi damage or condi CC effects. But 1 boon should not be able to do both, especially if it can ignore 100% of condi damage.

Just tell your party beforehand that you don’t have any and would prefer to sitout the boss fight (you will still sometimes get hit with agony but its easy to survive if you aren’t getting hit by the boss or the other mobs on screen) and most people will be fine with that as long as they know beforehand.

Alacrity is just such a huge damage buff to the entire party that its gonna be hard for anything to replace it. But for right now I would love to see mesmer get more personal damage and rely less on phantasms.

She did say that they want to keep the skills the same across both modes as much as possible, only splitting them when they have to. So don’t expect to see any significant changes between the two modes unfortunately.

Good ideas for the shrines. But we know ANet has been working on the BL even while it has been out of rotation, and there is a chance that they haven’t been telling us all the updates they’ve made. So personally I want to wait until its released and see what we are working with before nailing down what changes should be made to the shrines

I was considering the same but then realized part of the devs saying they need to do some work to run mixed borderlands is partially how will Bloodlust and the rest all work. I figured if we start a dialogue on the state of shrines and bloodlust by extension we will see it in a state more favorable to the community than them releasing something and we all post to change it.

this way we can hopefully influence the version we end up getting without having to have them iterate in the the live server as much

Downed skill 2, deception

OriOri.8724

If you use it properly, it doesn’t matter how far it teleports you. It stealths you, and that blocks the stomp. Use it as they are stomping, don’t just mash 2 constantly. It’s arguably even better than the thief skill for blocking stomps, because the thief can be followed with a teleport. The only possible way to block the mesmer from avoiding a stomp is reveal.

This, as with every single complaint thread that comes up about it, is a learn to play issue. Use it properly, and it’s incredibly powerful.

Didn’t know the stealth part prevented getting stomped. I usually wait to use it until they are halfway through the animation but have still been stomped before by doing that. Maybe it was a bug though. I still think that it should teleport you outside of any AOE you are in though. Obviously you shouldn’t use it if someone is trying to revive you, but if they are still fighting or off somewhere else you should at least be able to escape AOE with it. Skill 3 is awesome though, I have no problem with it.

As for not getting downed in PvE. Lag, not paying attention, mistakes happen. I disagree with your statement that you shouldn’t be going down ever in PvE.

Downed skill 2, deception

OriOri.8724

ANet can you please update this skill already and fix it? its great that it gives us a teleport that can sometimes be extremely helpful in its randomness. I remember reading on Reddit a while back about some mesmer who used deception and teleported up through a bridge above him in PvP which gave him enough time to heal while his opponent was confused about where he had gone. But honestly the randomness of this teleport is killing it. No one uses it to generate the clone since we don’t have any shatters while downed, its only use is its teleport.

But here are the problems with it compared to the other downed skills that teleport players (Thief shadow escape, and Ele vapor form). Those skills can get you far away, far enough away to be out of an AOE field or out of stomp range from where you started. The random teleports of deception doesn’t always do that. I’ve had it happen to me more than a handful of times in PvP where I use deception while the other player is stomping and I move right in front of them, which means I still get stomped on their first attempt. Much more often, especially in PvE, when I get downed inside an AOE and use deception it places me right back in the middle of the same AOE circle.

I don’t really want to control where we are teleported to, I enjoy the random nature of it. But all I’m asking is that the skill guarantees us that we will teleport out of stomp range (ie if they started stomping before you use deception they won’t be able to stomp you without moving closer) and remove us from any AOE field that was there when we went into the downed state. If I am taken down by an AOE attack I don’t see why I am the only class with a teleport skill that can’t guarantee to get me out of the AOE field, it can’t even do it reliably. It would also be nice if it teleported you somewhere that wasn’t covered by any AOE attack when you cast it, but that might be asking too much.

That’s all I want from the skill, I don’t think that’s OP, I don’t think its uncalled for to want this update to the skill. But its random nature is really killing it right now. More often than not when I use it, it doesn’t get me away from danger.

I specifically specified for out of combat. This is just to simplify things between encounters. Other classes don’t have to futz in the menu so much because switching between 2 is generally all you need. The Ele just gets annoying because it’s so manual.

Only if this is disabled for PvP. 40 weapon skills is plenty already, they don’t need to be running around with 80 in PvP.

PvP locks at game start anyway, so it doesnt matter. (unless you mean in custom arena’s)

No it absolutely does matter as switching between your weapon sets is allowed in PvP. OP was asking for a second weapon set to facilitate out of combat weapon switching. The only other way to switch is to go through the hero panel which is something he pointed out as being a waste of time (it is), which implies he was asking for a second weapon set. If Eles have a second weapon set then they would be allowed to switch weapons in PvP, which is why I specified this should only be implemented if it is blocked in PvP

@Newbkakes tomes can be used for other characters, but serve primarily as a way to earn spirit shards now for a lot of players. Its not exactly comparable to just being handed HP. And no, a reward track isn’t “out of your way” to earn the HP. You’re still just playing the same type of matches over and over. In PvE you have to actually go out of your way to get to a lot of HP, fight off stronger enemies, groups of enemies just to get there. Especially in HoT maps, which are required to max an elite spec, you really have to go out of your way to earn the HP. A lot of them can’t even be reached without certain masteries. A reward track is not out of your way. Getting HP through PvE is.

No, please don’t spread false information from a quote you don’t quite remember 100%. Sometimes this community is amazing (see the thread about players gifting other players things) and then threads like this pop up and we get to see the speshul snowflakes come out of the woodwork and try to defend time-locked skins with the idea of ‘you weren’t there so you shouldn’t have them’ attitude.

I’d love the idea of them implementing those skins back into the game somehow…maybe a ‘defeat Teq 100 times’ achievement for the wings…same thing with the Shatterer. Make it hard but but not bonkers hard like the prec farm is. Or kitten, even just sticking them in a PVP track reward would be fine. This game is all about the skins and to lock some away because someone didn’t own the game the time needs to be changed.

Defeating Tequatl 100 times would be ridiculous. I got those wings for talking to Rox, clicking F 10 times in Sparkfly, and fighting 7 world bosses. I think I only actual did Teq twice and we didn’t kill him either time.

The Fervid Censer was harder to get (although I also enjoyed it more), and now that’s on the laurel vendor for 25 laurels + 15g.

I think this is the main reason I don’t understand this mentality that having these items is some kind of big achievement and somehow that is lessened if other people can get it. I think I’ve got most of them, and most of them were very easy to get. They took a bit of time because they included “achievements” like ‘click 500 things’ or ‘kill 100 of the same enemy’ but they weren’t actually difficult.

But also the ones I really like having fall into two categories (or sometimes the same item is in both): either I like how it looks and it suits one of my characters or I have good memories of the release it came from and it reminds me of that. And neither of those things is invalidated by other people having the same item.

In the first instance I actually really like it if someone else has it because I can see how they’re using it – what other skins and dyes they’ve combined it with. It’s nice to know other people like the same skins I do (especially when I worry that some of my favourites, like the Holographic Shattered Wings are predominantly seen as obnoxious).

In the second instance the important thing is my memories and those aren’t going to be impacted by what other people have got. I still remember getting a Desert Rose skin during Cutthroat Politics and I don’t even have that unlocked because I sold it (for about 30g, which seemed like a crazy amount to me at the time). If I see someone drop the Zephyr Sanctum model I don’t worry about whether they got it at the time or if they bought it just now from the laurel vendor. I watch the cut scene and remember the fun I had trying to get up and down and up those cliffs and doing crazy things like dolyak racing.

You hit the nail on the head. Other people getting the same skins that you got from LWS1 doesn’t invalidate the skins you have already earned. It doesn’t make them any less useful to you. The only real reason to not support letting people work for it (especially considering a lot of them were handed out for doing practically nothing in LWS1……….) is because you’re a scrooge. People that want them to come back are willing to put in more work than you did for the same skins as long as they have a fair chance to get them. We aren’t asking to be handed skins

More weapons and armor be earned in game

What if that level 10 is an alt belonging to someone who also has at least 1 level 80 and they bought the gem store armour by running dungeons and then converting the gold to gems?

Does that make it acceptable?

And if so how can you tell, just by looking at what they’re wearing, which of those two it is?

Again, please don’t be angry with me for putting my opinion out there, because it is just an opinion….

No. I don’t really think any level 10’s should be able to wear that kind of armor, regardless of having a level 80 or not. I know I said I wasn’t going to drag any mmo’s into this, but I have to do a comparison here. When WoW introduced Heirloom items, people threw fits because of how high-level the armor looked. A lot of people made the argument that wearing rags at the beginning, leveling up and then getting better and better-looking was part of the experience.

Slowly increasing the look of your armor is something that makes you feel good… but when someone can just buy good-looking armor for real cash, it breaks the immersion completely.

First off I have to say that I don’t think it breaks immersion at all. Outside of cities you don’t even know what the other person’s level is anyway….. But if we are using the immersion argument then whenever any character wearing lvl 80 gear walks into a lower leveled map the gear should be forcefully stripped from them, because (thanks to a truly awesome idea for level downscaling) their level is forcefully lowered. If I, a level 80 character, walk into Queesndale my “fixed” level is usually lower than 10. How come it is ok for me to wear my level 80 armor at level ~6 while a real level 12 player can’t use the same skins?

About your WoW argument though. First off different game different community. Second off, there is a pretty big difference between a low level armor that looks high level (which means its easily available to lots of people) and a high level armor that you have to earn, but then can skin onto your low level characters. Its comparing apples and oranges at best, apples and tomatoes at worst. Just not the same thing.

I’m not going to get into gem store skins because I don’t want to partake in that discussion. But for skins that you earn in game, after you earn it you should most definitely be allowed to wear it on any character you want, regardless of level.

We also don’t need gear and tomes of knowledge in PvP. But Anet decided we should get them to unify the game modes.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/pvp-reward-tracks-and-gear-unification/

A way to get hero points is the next logical step.

Many of us here may primarily be PvPers, but we also play other game modes. A PvEr or WvWer can come to sPvP and not be disadvantaged. They don’t have to worry about levels or gear or elite specs. At worst they might need to unlock an amulet/sigil/rune. But those are unlocked through gold which can be earned outside PvP.

PvPers wanting to get into the other game modes? We have to worry about levels, gear, and unlocking elite specs. But we’re not asking for those things to just be handed to us. We’re fine earning it. Just let us earn it in PvP.

Except playing PvP isn’t earning HP at all. PvE players still have to go out of their way to earn their HP, they aren’t just handed out. You should have to do so as well

If Anet could find a way to let newer players earn the rewards by doing achievements related to the old ones, I’d be all for it. Unfortunately, I don’t know how they’d go about that, and as more time passes, it seems less likely that we’ll get an actual replay version of season 1 stuff (not faulting Anet for this; I imagine that’s a heck of a lot of work that they’d rather focus on other, newer things). And since that might not ever be an option, I’d honestly be ok with adding most of them to the Laurel Vendor. Could increase the price slightly (30 laurels + 20 gold maybe?) for the ones that were achievement rewards, I suppose.

The prize is already high enough at 25 laurels and 15 gold for the achievement rewards and up from there. It doesn’t need to be increased. Adding it to laurel vendors is not even a good solution in my opinion. In LWS1 players had to earn these rewards. Now we just have to sit and login for 10 seconds each day to pick up our daily login gift, do dailies every other day, and at the end of the month we can afford 2 of the past rewards.

That’s a horrible system, good only for the players that missed 1 or 2 rewards max. It doesn’t require you to actually play the game to earn the rewards beyond a few simple dailies. At the same time, actually playing the game doesn’t help you earn the rewards period, they don’t even speed it up as you are time gated by the laurels. What I, and other people commenting here and in other threads, are requesting is a way for us to actually earn these rewards by working for them. If you or anyone else wants to pay laurels for them that’s fine, it really is. But I want to earn them, and am willing to put in the work if only I were allowed to.

I’m not sure how much impact Mordremoth’s death actually had on the majority of sylvari. If I’ve understood the timeline correctly it was a matter of months between him corrupting the first of them (excluding Scarlet) and the Pact killing him. And it was only some of the sylvari who got close enough – those who went into the jungle – who were corrupted. We didn’t see corrupted sylvari in the Grove, let alone the rest of tyria.

Obviously it was a big deal for our characters and their allies who were right there fighting him, but for most people in Tyria, including most of the sylvari I think Mordremoth was more like a vague and distant threat. Certainly something to be concerned about but not at all comparable to gaining independence from a tyrannical foreign power that has dominated your nation since it’s inception.

How bout then, assuming the Pale Tree recovers, the Sylvari create a new festival around that. Their Pale Tree, mother, protector etc.. was attacked by an Elder Dragon and recovered. I think that would be more than enough grounds for a celebration and new annual sylvari holiday (if they have holidays that is).

No, MMOs are games where you can choose to play with other players than just soloing.

And other than raids, dungeons and fractals, the entire game is soloable so … not really a lack of content.

And with enough skill many dungeons and fractals are soloable.

As far as I’m called. This isn’t OMMO [Optional massively multiplayer online] game. Every time you managed to solo an instance, fractal, or dungeon. Arenanet will move the goalpost, and increase the difficulty slightly, or give your class a nerf to make it impossible to re-use that same build. If anything, they want to encourage the players to be working together in community. Not against each other.

On a relevant note, what are you attempting to accomplish by solo’ing content that requires an effort of a group.

Bored? Want a personal record? There are lots of reasons to try to solo content that wasn’t designed to be soloable. Its a huge personal achievement for a lot of people

Wings of the Sunless were an achievement event item in season 1. As were the Shatterer Wings etc. Put out all the armors they want, but S1 event items need to be left alone. They’ve brought back a lot of the cash shop items from first year so new comers can have them….let that suffice. GAME ON

You were given the chance to work for those rewards. Why are you trying to deny others that same chance? Are you just a more important player? Hell no. Every player deserves equal access to rewards like that.

Titles for Legendaries

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

OriOri.8724

I think the most important titles would be for having all 4 HoT legendaries, a title for having all original legendaries, and a third title for having all the legendaries in the game. It would have to be dynamic though, so if they ever do reinstate the legendary team and release a 5th HoT legendary, you wouldn’t be able to use those 2 titles until you craft it, but you could still use the title for all original legendaries.

Trap Suggestion

kitten every one here (presumably DH themselves) is only talking about whether traps are overpowered or not and OP just wants them to function like all other skills in that their CD starts when they are triggered, not when they are cast. Is consistency that big of a problem to you guys? OP didn’t say one word about traps being too powerful, he’s just rightfully annoyed that the cooldown starts prematurely allowing DH and rangers to annoy him more than they should be able to with their traps.

Just because it isn’t OP doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be addressed. Likewise, since traps are apparently so useless according to y’all, you shouldn’t even care if they get “nerfed” because no one who is “good” will be taking them anyway.

To explain my point of view I have to adress why I think the skill mechanich is fine as it is. To be able to listen to others opinion you have to read what said opinion is based upon. I stated my point on why they are fine as tehy are now.

Moreover, let’s just imagine the CD only applies when someone triggers it….
Ops wrong button while leaving base, stored a trap in my base…. GUESS I’LL BE WITHOUT 1 TRAP UNTIL THE SKILL RESETS.

gee…

Obviously you’d be allowed a premature detonate skill like engi gyros or something, how are you that stupid.

Either this or just have them timeout along with marks. There is honestly 0 skill in laying a trap and then waiting theoretically until you logout/game is over for someone to trigger it. Its really not that complicated to just make these skills behave the same as all other skills.

And its the same thing as mantras, people wanted mantras cooldowns to start when they were used to prevent people from popping off 6 mantras practically in a row, yet traps are fine because apparently DH is a weak class atm? That’s not logical. Skills need consistency, and only then can you truly start balancing classes. Traps and marks could be buffed substantially if their cooldowns were fixed to start when they were activated instead of when they were placed

Hero Point Reward Track in PvP?

To be honest you can get all the hero points you need to unlock the Elite Spec in a day.

I hate grind but even i gotta say its not really that hard or takes too long at all.

Yeah, but why shouldn’t I be able to get it in my prefered game type? The other two get it, why not us?

The quickest I got all HP was 1 day… running with a guild group who was doing HP trains and knew every single one.

Also most PvE HP cannot be obtained by just 1 person because they spawn champs. Getting my PvP buddies to do PvE… ha…ha…

It’d be super easy to implement.

If you ever came out of PvP you would know this wasn’t true. All HP in central tyria are easy to solo blindfolded. And more than half of the HP in HoT are possible to solo for any competent player. Only a few “need” more than 1 person, and even a lot of those have videos on youtube of people soloing them.

15 vs 40 make it possible?

So I am making this post purely for you guys to cmoment things arena net can do to make that 15 vs 40 possible once again and make zerg busting an actual thing once again. So guys please feel free to post your ideas!
First few things that come in my mind are:

1. Make stab the way it was 2 years ago. The latest stab change was good but it still favors 40 man blobs more than the 15 and especially with this cc limits now days.
2. Raise the amount of people cc hits like from 10 to 15 or 20 at least.
3. Rework conditions for WvW.
4. Rework certain classes like revs which is completely broken as kitten
5. Bring back hammer trains qq

Guy’s leave your ideas in comment and pls keep the post clean and drama out.

These just help the larger blobs more though….

What good is map completion now?

I’m just saying they need to put in something that has XP matter after max level and Masteries. Nothing is more discouraging than seeing numbers popping up all the time and knowing they mean exactly nothing.

So your thread has nothing to do with map completion then. Keep your thread titles relevant to what you actually want to discuss, as Map completion isn’t just about getting experience.

And there are already multiple other threads about wasted experience after you finish your masteries.

Dual pistols on mesmer (or every weapon available on every class)

Alt weapon set on Engi and Eles (but not scrappers or tempests)
No alt weapons on revs!

I know, “engi and eles don’t need alt weapon sets” but they do! Ele for instance has 4 attunements yes, but can only trait 3 (2 if you go for arcane or tempest), so if you’re not traiting all 4, most likely you rarely use them, which means you don’t exactly have 4 weapons in 1. Scrappers are op anyway, with their stealth/stuns and general annoyance, so they don’t need anything else, but vanilla engis do! Revs….why is it that kits and attuments are considered different “weapons”, but stances aren’t?

Thieves….delete entirely or give us auto deploy stealth traps with no CD or limit on the number you can place in wvw.

I agree that Revenants should be limited to only 1 weapon set. They can freely switch between 2 sets of utility skills, so why should they also be allowed to switch between 2 weapon sets? But eles should also be limited to 1 weapon set. You said it yourself, they can only trait 3 attunements, they trait 2 if they take arcane or tempest, at absolute worst they only trait 1 attunement and take arcane an tempest. Best case though, 3 traited weapon sets. Standard, 2 traited weapon sets, absolute worst case is still 1 traited weapon set and 3 untraited weapon sets. They do not need a second weapon set due to always having access to 4 attunements.

Simple – They can swap between 2 utility sets, but those utility sets are fixed, and 60% of the skills on each set are absolutely useless most of the time. Now, if you had one weapon slot that could be fully customized like the utility bar on every other class, THEN they’d be comparable.

So you’re telling me that all other classes can put in 3 utility skills and an elite that are always useful? Limiting weapon sets on some classes is an attempt to balance how many skills each class can bring to any fight. And regardless of whether or not you think all your skills are useful, that doesn’t change the fact that with 2 weapon sets and 2 utility sets, Revenants have more skills available in fights than 6 of the other professions. He should be locked to 1 weapon set like Eles and Engineers are.

Fractal information is inaccessible

Its tedious but you can check which fractals you have done by going through the fractal achievements for completing all 100 fractals. I’m not sure why you need to know your fractal level really, but outside of going into the main area you can get a rough idea by opening the LFG and going to fractals. It will at least tell you what tier you are in. Again, not convenient and not super informational but if you don’t want to go to LA and enter the fractal place its the best you can do right now.

Following on from that, LS1 needs to be converted into a S2 style and released. It’s a lot of work, but it is hugely vital to the game. Right now, we have nothing to bridge the PS and LS2 which is confusing and offputting to those who like to play for the story. The longer this remains out of the game, the more damage to the game it does imo. The current cutscene simply doesn’t do anything at all to bridge the gap.

As for blind optimism;
- relevance to underwater again, including new skins and some skill reowrks
- some new maps before the expac
- something else which ive forgotten but will add in when i remember it

This so much, even if I had to pay an extra $20 for access to LWS1 content I would do so. That cutscene was really cool, but also extremely lacking. I like story, being able to play through LWS1 and get the actual story would be so kittening awesome to me! I’m hoping that alongside S3 we get the option to buy access to S1 content redone in an instance format.

Isn’t this patch supposed to arrive next week?

Not according to this article ([E3 2016] Guild Wars 2 Season 3: which interestingly, is back up). There was a thread where this was discussed, and someone (Ayrilana.1396) translated that page.

The game, as you probably already know who follows development post-launch, is divided into seasons. The Season 3, scheduled for the coming months, probably by the end of the summer, provides a lot of irons in the fire and the introduction of new content both in PvE you in PvP.

I tought the next patch would be mid july? :| Owww man

It might be, but that article and the silence on the part of ArenaNet doesn’t look encouraging.

kitten , I usually consider end of July to be end of summer in terms of updates, so I was hoping we would get a patch soon. I hope they didn’t mean end of August.

Tangled Depths: What were they thinking?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

OriOri.8724

It’s your own mind-map that is important, the mini map is basically more or less useless in the beginning.

Tangled Depths is a true explorers map; Just get out there (with a friend) and wander and soon enough you’ll learn your way around. It’s a nice map to duo in, and is nice to have such a place.

I think Tangled Depths, more than any other map in the game, rewards effort.

This.

The only fault TD has is that the map doesn’t differentiate between levels well enough – you can see the top three levels all together on the map. It should be more like Verdant Brink’s canopy level is from the rest – not only a clearly different look, but also different names and different fog sectors to uncover.

This would probably help me navigate that map more than anything else. I have all, or all but one, WP unlocked and have used all the wallows and stuff but I still can’t reliably find my way into any of the lanes unless I port to the ley line confluence WP and then go back up the lane I want to be in. And getting to Vistas, POI, or HP? I might as well forget about those
