Well/mark based healing/support necro.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fRUQNAodWlk0olm10woGE0Nx1QJbAMAT3ARwFA3LC-TxBEABL8EAYS5Hn6D8U9HAOFAns/wWKBFFUGB-e

would be more healing based imho… as it gives you EASY perma regen, and the other dmgs are maybe not all applicable to all others but will keep you in the fight no matter what even when running a glass setup.

The wells are self healing (based on the standard vampiric track), the well of blood is a aoe heal with a aoe pulse heal, and aoe regen on cast. the dodges provide regen for party if in the field, staff 2 gives regen, focus 4 gives regen. All regens are buffed by 55%… duaration. and you actually get 1100 healing with riceballs. on a character which can get up to 2771 power and is able to crit with additional critical dmg….

or try 0/2/0/6/6 benevolence water ELE healer…
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fFUQFAWnMISLDW9AWOAdEGADwIHD6AfQRBgyDhbQPA-TxxDABNp8rTdAF/AA+U9nn2fAgLAAXKBFFUGB-e
heal on swap, on swap to water to water,on dodge, cleanse on swap, on dodge

add your rice ball and enjoy.
Both are very heal oriented builds , 1st more offensive, second more defensive.

And we have lasers, energy weapons, flamethrowers, chemical dispensers, gasmasks, rifles, cannon, sniper rifles, tanks and helicopters, submarines, flying gunships and robots in this game and you think a tactical nuke is way overboard? If you listen to the Golem Mark II, it’s dropped from ORBIT! Just so you have an idea…

Don’t forget long range holographic communications. But no radios or walkie talkies.

“It’s a madhouse! A madhouse!”

Psh why have radios or walkie talkies when you’ve got carrier pigeons?

Well we use the pigeons mostly to carry freight, (poor pigeons, sometimes hauling multiple charr heavy chests….), so some of us invested in griffons, they carry more… or transport our goods through the mists per ghost……

But messaging, well holograpic comms are perfect… you can see the ppl you’re taling too as well, very ‘Trekky’, just without star this time, unless you have world completion

The game has no polearms, crossbows, javelins, throwing stars and tactical nukes either. So?

I do not see we should have all weapons concieved to man unlocked here. We charge at flamethrowers with our swords in hand… people run through meteor showers and stand in the middle fighting daggers vs staff… I see people fighting cannons with arrows… There is quite a big variety already.

Let’s wait for the new and improved cloaked trinity flagship and enter the stealth era..

Primarily i see great-axes as a way to fill in the ‘gap’ in terms of weapons, just as Revenant filled in the ‘gap’ in terms of armor class numbers.

We have 1 handed and 2 handed bullet weapons (pistol and rifle)
we have 1 handed and 2 handed swords (sword and greatsword – not counting daggers)
we have 1 handed and 2 handed blunt weapons (mace and hammer)
we have 1 handed and 2 handed magical weapons (scepter and staff)
We have a 1 handed axe… despite the warrior icon itself showing a great-axe.

so it would be awesome to see them have a great-axe as one of the features for the next xpac. (and no i’m not going into ‘double torches’ or ‘double warhorns’ as that would be utterly silly even for anet. and double shields has its own argument line.)

Exactly, all these one handed variants with 2h counterparts except for axes.

“The game has no polearms, crossbows, javelins, throwing stars and tactical nukes either. So?”

Polearms and javelins are both spears, which exist.

Rifles would be the crossbow version, and tactical nukes is just silly.

No, spears are a kind of polearm like lances, pikes and halberds , and javelins are a short offensively used ranged “spear like” weapon (a.k.a. pilum or “throwing spear”), balanced for throwing , where as most spears are build as a defence weapon originally vs cavalry for footmen or as a stand off melee weapon…. , like the later developed pikes, halberds, lances and other multifunctional defensive weapons.

Crossbows are based on mechanical stored energy and rifles on chemically stored energy. You can deflect a crossbow bolt, but rifle bullets tend to be quite resilient to deflection. Also the size and velocity of the projectiles are different, and tbh balista’s are effectively oversized crossbows, so you could say crossbows are in the game… but they are as comparable as cannon are with rifles.

And we have lasers, energy weapons, flamethrowers, chemical dispensers, gasmasks, rifles, cannon, sniper rifles, tanks and helicopters, submarines, flying gunships and robots in this game and you think a tactical nuke is way overboard?

And reading the list why make such a fuss about the 2 handed axe?…

(from wiki: The word spear comes from the Old English spere, from the Proto-Germanic speri, from a Proto-Indo-European root *sper- “spear, pole”. Spears can be divided into two broad categories: those designed for thrusting in melee combat and those designed for throwing (usually referred to as javelins).)

Most gold you made in a month

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: PaxTheGreatOne.9472

PaxTheGreatOne.9472

well I guess ~8-10 gold a day from dungeons, 40-50 gold a month from insignias and a precursor (got the punisher pre to the moot about 5 ort 6 months ago) so say about
700-800 gold for best month

(well I do other dungeons and recieve ecto’s and t6 of course, but not normally sell those directly, though I just did so in bulk and bought all remaining dyes (need 12 more (rare) dyes for -all- dyes. Luckily the ones left are mostly cheaper ones but I am out of everything, I have 10 ecto and 2 crystaline dust left…and thus I am broke as a very unlucky begger atm… at around 3-4 gold left…)

should catch up to the world again in a month or 2… I’m saving up for ascneded armor(s) though I can only pay for 3 elonian leather atm -.-

In general I spend about the same amount as I get each month… SO I got no money available ever.. always buying stuff even if it isn’t usefull -.- But I can colo r my ascneded armor to be in -any- color I want. (except maybe 12)

Is This Game Worth Playing Again?

Collecting ToK until your 56 gets 80 takes ~ 56 days of just logging in and taking the dail y chest and logging out (should be >2 min) but you will not have any clue what to do. you should ask for ToK from the 28th chest, nettinmg you 16 ToKfrom dailies every 28 days..

Speed running is a niche, zerk is a niche and wvw is a choice, ele in wvw is very squishy, zerk ele in wvw is not a good thing and when speedrunning you are still squishy.

Ele = squishy. Deal with it, also at 80.

Dungeons come in 4 flavors, Open, l80, l80 Exp and l80 speedrun. With or without zerker armor. Generally the last 3 groups use zerk not always tough, except the final one which uses zerk as standard, no zerk = problem (though I’d accept all decent build DPS setups (cause some support will benefit from alternate armors, and in some cases assassin is nice as well.

Well as it has been anounced the expansion will NOT bring any new weapons I expect your wish only can be fullflilled as a alternate GS sword skin (would be strange as the animations do not lean themselves for 2h-AXE so IMHO such a decision is not wanted…) or in a future the expansion -after- Hot… so I think you need some 3 yrs worth of patience… if you’re lucky…

"No-grind philosophy"

I tend to go against your remark…

A lot of very beautiful skins have been released (dwayna, grenth, mawdrey, balthazar, zephyrite backs, several weapon skins (bonetti’s rapier, scarlet’s kiss) and even though BL weapon skins cost a lot they are available for everybody….

Stat selection has been widened allowing for sinister, zealot and nomads, which is frowned upon by many not able to look beyond zerk. in fact people completely stopped farming certain areas… why would you look beyond zerk anyways…

but real grinds.. no there have been none…

"No-grind philosophy"

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

PaxTheGreatOne.9472

What grind is there for ascendeds… in normal play you earn everything needed being bloodstone dust , emperyal faragments and dragonite ore, with skillpoints you get every 250k XP and some materials you can get from the TP and your dailies you have everything, not instant that’s true but you’ll get it with no real effort. only thing you’ll need to find is obsidian shards…

The few ppl who think they’ll need ascendeds because they’re there and cannot possibly live without ascendeds, which are downscaled to exotics anyways in all sub level 80 content anyways…, are farming like lunatics and will find there is a black hole after they finished their -self-imposed- “grind”.

below level 45 anything above rare is already downscaled…. below level 30 everything above masterwork is downscaled…. below 10 everything above fine is downscaled…

Just to notify: You are farming your heads of for 5 regions (cursed shore, southsun cove, dry top and silverwastes) and a 2 small parts (malchor’s leap, and frostgorge, (NOT even including the Claw of Jormag area)) and 3 dungeons (Arah, HotW, CoE)… in all other areas exotic will do the same dmg and be a few stat points weaker… making it not even 1% WORSE.

So just buy a damask if you have 12 gold to spare and see when some obsidian shards drop in SW and take as much time as you want.

1 remark: HoT is going to be full 80. When it’s out it will matter 5% over there, but mechanics may or may not dictate other gear then zerk… your choice. I doubt you’ll be able to reselect stats

I think it’s fun when you are getting to know a few people…, guildies, friends or just start recognising pug namesand pugs start to recognize yours (which happens to me atm, but I got 6000 hours in atm.)

So you have about 5996 hours to gather friends and have a comparable experience…
(you might be faster as I have a brain which leaks info like a bucket full of holes… guess it’s a problem of old age and such…)

WouldGW2 be more successful with HolyTrinity?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: PaxTheGreatOne.9472

PaxTheGreatOne.9472

We have a soft trinity, and that is enough. We don’t need a dedicated trinity. Instead of tank, DD, and healer, we have damage mitigation, DPS, and boon support.

No we don’t have soft trinity, we have all zerker.

it would be cool if you would stop telling other people “thats bs” “all zerk” “other builds not viable” when your game knowledge and understanding is abysmal?

watch it and learn.

Really ? Dude just because they are there does not mean they are viable, zerkers are the most efficient and rewarding way to play the game , you might be able to ru n dungeon with other build, but zerker will do it much faster and easier.

  • “We are all zerker”, that is true.
  • “We are all DPS”, that is false.

Everyone is control/support/dps at the same time.

I think you would be suprised how hard we can laugh at the casual GS Zerk warrior in WvW it is not LOL… ROFL is still quite and understatement, The fact I get questions: “Why do you survive and I do not?” is generally answered; “Because I do not run a glass build.” I’ll point out we call zerkers walking lootbags. Okay you might have 3000+ power but you will die, fast, or instant. I ran my S/S warrior for quite a while as roamer and found a lot of zerkers just run the meta without condiclears… You tend to die often in roamer infested areas without cleans, I’ve seen more condi warriors, necros, mesmers, thieves, rangers and engies in roamer parties then anywhere other in gw2 except maybe pvp…. And while many proffessions have a cleanse in meta builds : warrior doesn’t, warriors use healing signet, not the heal with the 3 condition clears or shake it off instead of FGJ…. As it is 2 clicks too many….

So they eat 25 stack of bleeds and near perma cripple to enjoy 5 stacks of torment to the fullest and those who are fullmeta do not have ranged as well, so when in doubt kite’m to death with LB… I rarely run my hybrid S/S nowadays, running glass well burst necro support for zerging or PU condi mesmer , Condi Trapper ranger or Hybrid/Condi thief, just for the fun of it… Had quite soem fun running my S/S warrior in SW though.

On the other hand:

I run speedrun builds, I love dungeons, but I tend to see more wannabee’s…
I sometimes run hammer warrior (4/0/6/0/4) in dungeons… P2 Cof is a good place for hammer, or mace offhand… I do not see the point in running GS A/M when I need CC’s and my parties are generally questioning a hammer until the gate opens the 3 ingniters step out open up and get hammered into silence. Even though the dmg is less most warriors still camp GS, Guardian can pull them, and use hammer as well, necro’s can fear them, ranger can headshot or knockback them but it is a pain if they do so from the stacked position or without piercing arrows, engineers can blow’m up, but everybody stands there eating triple flamethrower….. or running around like headless chickens, and consequently doing no damage..

Why can’t people be creative? Suggesting the trinity isn’t creative, it’s trying to copy the familiar to something which is good already without said familiar…. making a tank losing 50+% DPS and a healer losing 30+% dps willnot allow the dps-ers to fuction better then they are doing now. a GOOD guardian will blind/heal/reflect/stabilize and protect, a good warrior will buff 1000+ points of power, a good ele will prestack with the help of the party will speedbuff, will heal and will AOE. A good thief will stay alive and kill all solo targets with maximum efficinecy and provide vulnerability, and stealth, necro’s will AOE DPS, blind, protect heal and provide vulnerability and boonstrip. Mesmer will reflect, cleanse, boonstrip and timewarp, provides portals, pull without cripples, DPS…..ranger will provide vulnerability, healing condi cleanse (waterfield), will push if needed, can buff what is needed with pet and can spec to do GOOD dmg at 1500 range…. And enigineer can do everything others cannot.

WouldGW2 be more successful with HolyTrinity?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: PaxTheGreatOne.9472

PaxTheGreatOne.9472

I’d say You all with zerk only is best are wrong It is a good base to start but not universally useable.

I’d say You all with holy trinity is best are wrong as you loose the freedom to play, have a huge LFG waiting for x proffession with y role…, and are no longer ale to change things after someone says well new meta is buffer, healer/condicleanser, c/c tank, DPS and stripper/stealth/utility bearer…. Cause your change will change something others want to rely on instead of relying on their own capabilities. It will also make the group fully reliant on others, so if something goes wrong you loose your/others capabilities which are made for the group as a whole and you’ll be left vulnerable. It will cause ppl with other ideas to be cast aside even though they might run selfsustainable builds cause you need our whatever or you cannot play yourself which is dumb if not selfish…

I’d think why can’t you all just understand you should be flexible. In some fights you’ll need some CC : get it, or condi remove, take it, sometimes you need support, well retrait, the 15s it takes can be so usefull. even full zerk warrior can be made tanky instant by just traiting 4/0/6/0/4 and go a/m Hmr CC or support by switching to shout heal 4/4/0/6/0 GS a/w and shouts/condiremove or combine those 2. Yes a bit less dps but good sustain…

The fact people only stick to meta shows indifference and unimaginativity as well as no notion how to compensate for things other then HP bags. For the brainless wannabees….. Zerk DPS If you know your class you know DPS is a role witch means: We do not trust you to do more they just spam your DPS chain….. Leaving your DPS role and evolving to be more then just the DPS spammer takes more skill then most see atm.

Having said this I must also say the game itself only rarely challenges players to think outside the box, but It’s my guess that’s also why we were forced to eat the NPE, due to many people not able to search for answers… and evolve.

If I look at skill in play I got som quesyions for you:
Do I know my character’s main weapon set and armor for DPS?
Do I know my character’s main DPS build?
Do I know my characters main chain?
If YES: Well good for you: you have been abled to level your character and do DPS.. lvl 80 wannabee zerk runs. EotM. Casual/Social guild…

Continuing the questions:
Do I know my characters CC weapon sets and armor?
Do I know my characters Support weapon sets and armor?
Do I know my characters Condition weapon sets and armor?
Do I know the utility of all utility skills?
Do I know all combo fields and finishers on ALL weapons?
Do I know all builds for tanky/condition/CC/support builds?
Do I know what sigils and runes are most usefull on main alternate weapon sets and armor, and why?
Do I know the chains on alternate builds?
Do you know where to use these builds?
If YES: Okay now you know the -basics- of your Class, you can learn everything. l80 EXP, PvX guild , BL WvW pug.

Last questions:
Can you call out all foods you’ll be needing if you want to use all capabilities for your character? Do you USE them?
Can you name all your weaknesses vs all other classes in 1 vs 1 engagements? Can you name their weaknesses as well ?
Can you think of a fast workaround if you do not have the utilities available vs your adversary if you find time to pop some food or change a utility but do not have the time to change armor and build ?
Do you know which utilities/armor/weapons you should have for running, pulling, stacking, supporting, condiing,CC-ing, open fielding, wvw-ing, pvp-ing? AND WHEN TO SWITCH?
Can you theory craft solo builds for engagements?

Well here you go you are starting to comprehend your class to a point where it is actually usefullL True lvl 80. Speedrun guild, Ded WvW guild, PvP guilds. lets hope the wannabees stay out…

dungeon scams are entering sellable paths and kicking everybody, harvesting the moeny and leaving, or entering a dungeon running the path and kicking everybody at finish, if reported both are bannable. Especially if there is no reason given, no just cause and no warning.

I was kicked from a party a couple a days ago by 2 people entering our instance while we started killing the Howling king (doubt they could have sold the path, as my DPS chain was good and I am playing Glass Staff ele (AC dungeon gear setup, and I just finished channeling my MS,Firestorm lavafont, 3# and icebow #4 while at 25 stacksBL & Might…) I can solo the boss, doubt it survived. Problem wouldbe easy if my pc would be 200 instead of 2500+ and if I was the ONLY person suffering this problem, but if my whole guild complains…. well…. It is probably not our side, most are experienced wvw players (silver +) and general consensus is the dc’s are getting more frequent and the lag is more prevalent. It seems server cannot keep up…

We have been wondering if allowed latency has been adjusted… and what things interfere so much…

I would really want to see an official post regarding this. I wouldn’t even mind if people limit would be shrunk down to compensate…..

Calling for a lagfree WvW

in WvW

Posted by: PaxTheGreatOne.9472

PaxTheGreatOne.9472

You can turn all the settings down, but it will only lighten the load on your PC.

It will seemingly lessen the problem, by eleminating personal system lag, bur doesn’t counter the main problem which is the make up of WvW fighting in the first place, the game is build for small scale encounters 5, 10, maybe 20 ppl fighting 5, 10 maybe 20 people, not for 3 map blobs fighting eachother as the 250+ (if not 300+) people involved cause lag, which is further aggrivated by people spamming 1 and other skills as the server cannot accept and send info on so many users at 1 time, leaving lag spikes for people and skill lags which will always lead to dc’s, skills not triggering or cancelled by own actions due to the fact they are still proccing/channeled on server. You can use the zerg to great effect to destory smaller groups, this by destroying the small groups game play due to causing excess lag. Of course this is also subject to connection speeds, performance of PC’s and server status…

This problem is already causing changes in the fact some servers are leaving the map blob system and a re switching to smaller (guild or roaming) parties for ultra fast PPT capping. The Map blob is the main reason for problems. Not WvW itself, the map is ok, so are the mechanics. The blob is the poison of WvW. It kills fun for many through DC’s and the inability to play as they want, poisons gameplay through unfair advantage not caused by player skill but enforcing lags and makes servers slow and laggy so the few with a prime connection can have some advantage and harvest slower users. I got an upgrade recently on my connection from 90(down)/9(up) to 120/12 and noticed lag spikes were almost gone. Still I got a clean DC afte 1hr 45min of play….

I’m using the conection with my family of course, we have 2 mobile phones , 2 tablets, 2 computers a printer all online at most times….. when the family is at home…. tablet and phones tend to cause more lag depending on how many are used at the same time (still on single band 2.4 and single band 5 here, 1 phone dedicated on 5) PC’s on LAN.

playing max settings highest/highest, 50+ FPS on 3840*2400 while OOC, 24-30+ in GvG, ~12-16 in zerg vs zerg/blob vs blob which are the exact values for 1920*1200… coincedence no? It is not my hardware slowing me down, on 3840*2400 I have a higher GPU load, but processor stays the same at 30-40% use (being 3 to 4 threads) 2 gtx 780’s SLi on Pcie 16x v3.0 at 16x (both) for video, i7 3930K (hexcore) @ 3.8Ghz

My dc last was when 2 (other) guilds attacked an enemy map blob, all people in my guild reported lags, rubberbanding and inability to use skills, while just moving past.

Ele is very versatile, Ultra High DPS (AOE) can be used extensively to buff and support, but you’ll need somone to keep an eye out for you…

Mesmer can be very nice to play, it started out as a condition based shutdown proffession, at presesnt it is also the ONLY build which can use conditions for full effect in PvE (confusion and torment are not easily capped.. As A DPS build it’s powerfull and if you’re somewhat experience it can bring som nice utility to bear which is unique for mesmer, few party wide buffs though. Mesmer conditin damage can be highest ingame atm, unfortunately conditions have extremely short durations. (buffing 3 seconds by 70% sitll gives you only 5 seconds, while many other condition using classes have skills with up to 10,15,20 or even 45 seconds duration, unbuffed…. limited use of party wide invisibility

Ranger can add instant 20 vulnerability to each starting fight and buff party with 170 precision. has an aoe healing skill with condi removal. Trapper condition builds can have a small niche use as well. The pet is insta killed in zergs in WvW however, and is a big part of DPS builds (RaO,needs to have an alive pet for good buffs)

Necro’s have DPS and support builds They can reach the same amounts of power as warrriors, Have a second HP bar in DS, and can be decent AOE fighters, As condition builds they can be nice providing decentt dmg with ok duration. The have acces to fear, which can be used to devastaing effects in some maps, As a suppor build It can be a decent healing class with acces to protection and many conditions, necro is also used as boon stripper.

Thief is high dmg single target in which it is unmatched. The stealth (invisibility but NOT compatible wit mesmer(!) or vice versa) is applicable for longer periods (thief can supply 8-12 secolds f stealth where mesmer makes due with 3-4) condition thief is a niche, fun and unpredictable, and quite deadly in it’s own way….

I run all 4 classes and Iwill not make a choice for you I think all have god uses. Meta dictates ele as a neccesity and thief and mesmer as alernates, but present meta is stale AND in error a lot of the time and still only based on DPS while efficient use of utilities makes some classes preferable over others higherup in the meta. 2nd problem is people need to know their classes before using it, whcih tends to hamper many, when ranger recieved it’s buffs many rolled rangers only to be stuck in bearbow themselves…

The NPE is a statement,

It states: “We the programmers and devolopers expect all people playing this have the minds of 4 yr olds. We do not expect the people to be capable of figuring out movement mechanics and dodges, but will make an entire game of exploration , and wil force you to figure out recipe’s crafting and missions you need to search, track and otherwise think how to accomplish this for the entire duration of the game after we hold your hand and guide you blindfolded until everything is available and it becomes overwhelming instantly… As we figure you cannot even press “1” we have removed all usable content untill you are bored enough to quit. We only want the few so dedicated they can live through this and hope they’ll alone keep up this game, as we do not need the 10000’s that are put off by being forced to just spam 1 for a while and then being shown there is also a 2,3 then a 4 and well actually a 5… You do not like it? No? Really?! Well deal with it! We still think we are right after 1000’s of posts saying otherwise."

My 4 yr old daughter is learning the same in school atm…
The only good thing which came from the NPE was the addition of usable dros for content BUT it is completely soulbound, not sellable or salvageable. Leaving you with no real headstart. You do lag a bit behind with your personal story, not being able to start your story till lvl 10 is a waste opf time and boring… You diminished the the number of key farmers, but destoyed the experience…

Leaving level gating as bad, removal of vendors, crafting and trait sellers in low level area’s bad, the change removing trait points to lvl30+ VERY bad for the immersion for higher levels and people who want to help people to rush to 20 to avoid all this idiocy and allow them to start playing are hampered as they cannot just buy a weapons and show “how to do stuff and basic GW2 survival pt1” to people just starting…

I see people in our guild getting lvl 80, not even having unlocked traits with NO ACTUAL CLUE they can unlock traits…(Yes Really!) They mostly gave up on the story before the lvl 50 due to the fact it is level gated now and it is no longer fun, not immersive and not rewarding for the mind, also the story line continuity is broken.. putting many off, especially those who are interested in WvW Oh yes they get 3 traits when doing the towers in EotM but they tend to save up their skill points and buy traits after they unlocked utility skills, leaving them completely useless in game for the first weeks…..

We see people spamming the forum they do not know what to do after they are lvl 80 as they just haven’t figured out anything themselves. Yes you actually opened up this game for people who cannot think and removed all fun for those who do.

Still the fact we got a bit better drops is nice. It’s a shame though I’m powerlevelling my characters atm to avoid all this crap and just delet all loot instantly except for the boosters, the 2 keys and the ecto, as it is all WORTHLESS!

So I hope you are proud of the changes made, and are intelligent enough to consider the NPE a write off, and remove it!

NPE SUCKS! not a little, not abit, not a lot, not big, not worldly , but UNIVERSALLY!

I like, no love the rest of the game though…

It’s a shame people need to survive, endure, and hang on by their fingernails, make that cling on, until “basic training for the 4 yr old” is over and be allowed into the fight… where they suffer until they can unlock the content they actually need. The unlocking of traits which was removed to make the game more attractive. I sometimes run an alt in The cursed shore sometimes unlocking a XIII trait, but I buy all my traits just because it is not worth my time and effort to run around the world trying to be at the right event which i need to unlock and thus , make a time schedule and plan based upon timers, It should be fun, not like work, hopping from appointment to appointment…

I loved Ulgoth… It was cool you could up him each time you completed the event chain… But no more… once every 2 hours is enough for Ulgoth, else he’ll get tired being slaughtered all the time. Leaving the poor lionguard captain to move back to his camp and do another futile attempt a while later… I really miss seeing him cheer or something if he actually is able to bring the attack to Ulgoth.

where zerk needs to peel off you will need to as well BUT your stacks keep ticking.

I keep seeing people use this as an example. It really doesn’t work this way in reality.

People make it seem like condi specs can just throw up DoT’s and dodge around and avoid stuff while their damage keeps ticking, whilst zerkers have all this down time while avoiding damage.

It may seem that way when you try to scratch it down on paper, but reality is a far cry from this scenario. ESPECIALLY with Mesmers.

Problem is: What do zerkers have to do with making condition more viable, instead of trying to tell us we think the wrong way pease take some time for self reflection! And try to answer the questions asked in the thread. Your “zerker pawns all” is not constructive. It shows a complete lack of creativity and a striking amount of disinterest.

SO what would you do to inprove viability of conditions in PVE? I mean other then just taking the obvious way and starting about already usefull and used conditions as blinds, chills, weakness, cripples stuns, fear, poison, vulnerability? (and the geneal CC’s (knockdown, push , pull, fear, dazes and stuns of course as they are part of conditions as well.) Which are ALSO overwritten and discarded in the present system! Or in case of the CC’s ignored due to unshakable, defiant and so on. Luckily theyt already posted defiant would be changed.

…….
ah, so like what we have now where all professions are better…except for necro’s…..-_-

So your suggestion is (again) to disrupt and imbalance the game in other areas so your Necro is desired in a Dungeon speed run group? You are aware there are 7 (soon to be 8 ) other professions you can Dungeon speed run with (and a 3 or 4 of those are very effective in that game mode), right?

Necro viability in Dungeon speed runs is a very specific (and kind of selfish) goal in a much more complicated issue (general Condition Damage system).

Well for speedrun you need ele’s, guards and thieves. Of course all other classes can bring benefits but are a waste of dps as it is now… rangers can stack vulnerability to 20 stacks in 2 seconds and add spotter, warriors could bannerbuff and Phalanx a bit if engagements take longer then prestacked might and suppply power , mesmers can boonstrip, feedback and timewarp and do moderate melee dmg. Necro’s can do AOE PBAOE, Engineers can do almost anythin, but limited.

But for non speedrun dungeons (so l80 EXP) I see all calsses have functions. and necro can be a dedicated healer/protector, with wells and marks boonstrip and vulnerability applications and acces to AOE blinds, chill cripple, weakness, bleeds poison and so on. And it could take the place of a guardian
Necrocould be used as a hybrid with focus on bleeds, poison and terror and torment, and It could be used as a plain AOE DPS character with well and marks….it will do good AOE dmg…

BUT imagine all being able to take condition dmg…
It would ignore armor and with ultra condition builds it could instantly be the new meta… necro’s can onlly stack up rto 2600 condition dmg as far as I know, mesmers though can stack up to 3000 condition dmg… Just so you know. you’d only need 1 or 2 dps chars for the objects, well guardians are perfect.

-snip-

Hybrid builds are also sub optimal.

Well I wonder if you ever did map with a condition build…I did with a rabid staff/scepter mesmer,… trust me if you want to run conditions atm make sure you have -some- power…. Killing 15 objects with a zerk build tends to be 30 maybe 45 hits…. when running full condi you will need 45 hits for 1 object.

Condi builds are non viable in situations where your target cannot bleed, usage of condition/power hybrids is very niche itself but -way more easy-.

And do consider there are only 4 armor sets providing both power and condition dmg, 2 are glass, 1 has no crit chance but some additional HP, and the last provides all stats 70% of the normal minor stat value…. (rampager, sinister, carrion, celestial)…. all those have power as minor stat, 2 have condition dmg as major stat…

If you can run zerk somewhere you can also run sinister, you’ll do a bit less dmg but where zerk needs to peel off you will need to as well BUT your stacks keep ticking.
making you able to do the same dmg to a foe on long term engagements. The armor ignoring part can be very usefull in many cases…. and it’s different…

Oh and I will not promote conditions for dungeon use until the condition system is rebuild so conditions are usable. I still remember dungeons in the first weeks after launch with 2 condition necro’s and other condi users in parties. Epidemic necro was a much ran build and full capped bleeds while 2 ppl couldn’t apply any further conditions was something which happened, leaving runs failed from first instance you joined. I would not want to get back to those days…

If a skill hangs more then 3-5 sec you will auto dc. Trust me. Had it happen on PvE as well. you’ll notice everybody is standing still or keeps running in a sstreeaight line, it’s the second your computer no longer is connected to the server. sometimes (20-25% of the time my connection reconnects but it’s rare.

General things which seem to acompany this is a very laggy BLTP and a lagging chat panel… which I can safely say seem to be on the server end…

True instant DC’s are mostly my ISP wanting to repair /change or whatever without notfying ppl, mostly due to cars driving into connection boxes and other RL OOPS-es

I sometimes DC on Z vs Z vs Z| fights between the map blobs of the three faction in BL’s, doesn’t seem to happen as often in EBG though.

Interesting thing for Top tier servers,

You can only go down

And

The queues are HORRENDOUS!
EBG 200+, bl 100+ each friday after reset is standard on SFR. during primetime queues are above 30 on average and generally you wait 1 minute for each person in queue, if you happen to d/c (which does happen especially during huge fights) you wait for 30-40 minutes AGAIN.

PaxTheGreatOne.9472

So if im understanding correctly, I should start looking into this crafting thing, run these fractals things, and go find these world boss guys?

Sorry if im not fully comprehending everything, I come from WoW where its
Get to Level 100 > Craft/Buy baseline gear> do Dungeons > Do Heroic Dungeons > Do Normal Raids > Do Heroic Raids

No you should set your own goals. And do whatever you want. Just grinding fractals will be nice for a couple of days, and start to be annoying afterwards.
I tried to tell you you can do EVERYTHING.

-Unlock all your traits and make the character workable first,
-Get ascneded trinkets first.
-Get map completion
-Get obsidian shards so you can make ascneded or legendary items
-Get cash/materials to pay for leveling your crafting to 500 to make ascended gear
-Get your weapons crafting/artificer/huntsman (depending on proffession) up to 500 and craft yourself ascended weapons.
-Get a WVW build and gear and do some EotM… (to farm karma mostly)
-Get dungeon meta gear and build and learn those (to efficiently farm gold)
-Get agony resistance on your ascended trinkets, (to run high level fractals)
-Get an ascended backpack (because you can)
-Get an ascended armor… (why not?, or just get)
-Go and figure out if you like PvP (not my thing but luckily everybodyt is different)

Set new goals, get a legendary or more, get skins (think of Black lion ticket skins you like.) get all dyes, become dungeon master, become dungeoneer,

If you need materials go run the Orr trains, run Silverwastes, and or Dry Top.

You could dig up the living story S2 (it costs money: 200 gems / episode ye, but 3-4 days of dungeons you could earn enough gold to unlock a story part) It could explain why we are in dry top/ silverwastes atm… IMHO it is expensive for a very small amount of content BUT it could be nice if you dig story line and an idea what happened…

Well just do whatever you want to do. You are “the hero”

The please tell me what resolution I’m rendering…

it is NOT 1920*1200

it is 3840*2400 ! I just view it on a 1920*1200….

If you render it at 4 times the size of the actual used screen the image will be thus be reduced in size 4 times to place it on the screen and you end up witrh an interface a quarter of the size of the original one. You also lose any jagged edges.

pls No, we wil get people using green and red tags, which tends to be disruptive for a good 10-15% of the male playerbase (sorry for the few girls with “color-blindness”), girls, but you are a truly rare breed) due to the inability to distinguish those 2.

The choice for blue, purple red and yellow was made with a good idea in mind. which is also the reason why we do not have greens, and orange atm. I could see people say well I want while and black then , but they will be difficult to see in ice regions or can be missed on dark spots on the map.

No there isn’t, but newer developments do make this neccesary. I strongly urge the developers to allow for a additional set of settings for ultra-HD so it scales normally on those ultra high settings…

(even larger, big, truly big, enourmous, and gigantic would come to mind, and they should be applicable for 4k rendings on a 1920*1080/1920*1200 screen , I’d even suggest them for noraml 4k screens as the leave so little room to click efficiently if you needed to. L80 Exotics can be bought with karma, dungeon tokens,or wvw tokens. It can be dropped as loot (if you’re lucky), crafted (lvl 400, pretty cheap) and purchased on the BLTP if needed

L80 Ascended can be dropped as loot (if you are VERY,VERY lucky) or be crafted (lvl 500 pretty expensive) Lvl 80 ascended trinkets can be bought with laurels, rings drop in fractals, accesoires you can buy with guild commendations from guild missions,

and backpacks can be made with huge investment normally on lvl 500 for ascenededs and 400 for normal exotics (newly introduced back for max lvl 78 is a vey nice starting solution for players.

Endgame?

Problem is this game was made to no have an endgame. Endgame can be explained as a situation where you capped out everything and there is only so much to do as you’re OP for the rest of the world.

Looking at Gw2 we see some things.

-As there is level scaling (downleveling in lower level area’s) you do not get extremely OP. Therefore the lower level maps still contain relevant content
-As there is no gear above lvl 80 in effect you are a full maxed out character when you reach lvl 80 and can be fully traited and geared.
-As there will be no further progression above l80 you will be able to focus on gameplay, finding and creating skins, experimenting with builds, honing skills in PvE, WvW and PvP.
-As you venture around PvE you’ll find that most long living world chains are most valuable (hirathi hinterlands for centaur chain, temple of balthazar chain) regarding loot and doing those might be not to difficult due to the amount of players but it will still take effort to collect better loot (more taggings and making sure the event will succeed so it can progress (only exception seems the broken escort mission in cursed shore to Jofasts camp)
-Other loot farms are dungeons, temple events in ORR, "difficult world bosses (tequatl and triple trouble)
-Lastly there is FRACTALS which is IMHO the only true end game content in the classical sense, which allows for levelling, the only thing which makes this a bit unrewarding is the seemingly low scaling loot and gold reward…

-WvW has a different skill system in the world ranks, it is generally accepted in my wvw guild all people below rank 230 are still newbs (read carefullly newbs not noobs, noobs are people who became platinum in EotM and still cannot hold their own in BL’s and EBG). when you hav 230 points you will have acces to both stacking bonusses
-PvP uses it’s own reward track as well…. I am a fervent WvW player but I have little interest in structured PvP myself.

Understand PvE is for casual play, it is a true Time-sink. As such the present content is meant to do just that. You do not have to worry about preparing for lvl 80+ gear as there will be none. never. You’ll be lvl 80 and you have a full world to enjoy even below lvl 10 and it will still be fun, I spend some time helping newbs (=starters) in low level area’s and trying alternatives to te plain DPS builds, It is what keeps me interested, I ot map completion with 8 characters now and have 15 lvl 80’s which will stay geare and usefull, due to the fact I do not have to worry I need to regrind gear for all of them at expansions. I farm skins, dyes, achievements, gold, tokens, karma, and materials so I can stay usefull in dungeons, with slightly changing meta’s and I try to keep up with the newer stats. I have farmed recipe’s in th past and unlocked content people never though to be usefull (but it is, for content other then true dungeon speedruns, I carry 2-3 armors on most of my 15 characters, 1 for PvE 1 for alternate content (I use some for world bosses, some for WvW, some run full condi (WvW roaming but sometimees just to do somthing different in PvE (ever ran a rabid mesmer in SW? or sinister necro/warrior or just a hybrid trapping ranger? You will not do max DPS but who cares. it isn’t a dungeon…))
A good deal of the people still think their zerker warrior is OP, but meta has shifted so far warriors are now used for 2 things in PvE/Dungeon meta, A moderate melee DPS or Phalanx strength build with banners… For DPS we use other characters now, the people who do not know are stuck in the past… To keep up people should considering alts and making them fully useable. This game discourages the Main, and as a consequence I have 8 “mains” now in 7 proffesions, and a further 7 characters for WVW….

SO endgame is keeping yourself in the game, getting familiar with most or all proffessions gearing them, dressing them up, getting relevant gear, and enjoying all content….

Good luck in finding somthing to do, which is easy, the biggest diference is you set your own goals instead of having to run to a NPC an wait for your instance and group, and set it up. For now you can bridge your time with these suggestions and wait for the expansion which should release “repeditive PvE content with rankings”.

Good Luck and Have Fun

Dunno if this is DSR, it works also in SLI but I ran 3840*2400 ingame,I use 1920*1200 screen for gaming not 1920*1080 , so numerics differ a bit:
prereq:
- you need to be in full screen mode
( people would run 3840*2160 with normal 1920*1080 full HD screen)
- I run dual 780 GTX in SLI on a 3930K with enough ram and so on, specs should be floating around the forum somewhere.

problem:
-you’ll need reading glasses/magnifying glass/microscope as the largest setting for the inteface is still only 1/4 of what would be usable and 1/5th rd of what would be pleasant to look at.. And if you do not I DO!

suggested solution:
Could the devs add a larger scale(s) for the interface for people who use a DSR or comparable solution please?

You can see the interface is rather small atm, see attached picture, second also shows inteface (F11) for graphic options.

I really really hope my warrior will never do 10k dmg with a HB… I still hope to see 17-21k with zerk as normal…

well stacking might healing blasts and long swiftness on demand can be usefull for fast dunegon runs, but not neccesary.

Reasons for toughness:
- Less dmg when hit
dodge

- better scaling of certain traits and utility consumables (tuning crystals, maintainance oils, sharpening stones
this is bad food, use +-10%

- Easy lengthened endurance, mostly usefull when running conidtion builds as you need to have the patience to create your stacks and need to be able to act on clears.
what?

- no need to rely on protection or other buffs to mitigate dmg…
why wouldnt you rely on instant cast shouts or autoattack chains that give prot? you arent going out of your way

- better way of lengthening lifespan then vitality, as you would also need healing to compensate for the additional hitpoints when healing.
tough vs vit when comparing tough vs dmg?

- taking toughness as main stat does limit damage or condition as main stat. some truly tanky stat combinations levae no power to speak of and leave dmg being a forgotten option…
this is a reason for toughness?

hmm…

Hmm. I think I made a point as final sentence:

IMHO toughness is a welcome if not neccesary attribute in WvW or PvP , but in PvE only world bosses and other instances with -nearly- unavoidable dmg it has a use. problem is those things are generally very small parts of the world… Making other chooices in PVE probably better,

I do not find people who run toughness any less then zerks. IMHO it has a function. any zerk run with 1 wipe is AUTOMATICALLY SLOWER then runs with people who wear a bit of toughness armor, be it cavaliers, knights or soldiers. Even clerics can have it’s niches.

If you ONLY care about High DPS don’t bother posting in a toughness thread.

- you could take other stats to be more powerfull, or heal more, crit more, or do more condition damage
- protection if if can be applied with a good amount of uptime will leave you with the same dmg reduction as full main-stat toughness and will allow you to do generally over 40% more dmg continously
- you can always dodge, if you cannot, you might benefit from blinds/aegis or evades locked in skills.
- It only helps against DPS not against condition dmg, it even makes you more vulnerable vs conditions as most ppl tend to check less for conditions.
- It draws aggro.

Only polearms in game are spears for underwater, and further staves and scythes for casters,.

As there is at present no knowledge about devs wanting to add weapons in the long term future, and the remark of Coline they would only allow more existing weapons on characters in HoT, and not any new ones… leads me to this conclusion: I can safely say it is probably not going to happen somewhere soon (a.k.a not in the next 1 to 2 years)

problem seems you want everything instant, I bought my 1st pre 3 months into the game put it in my bank and crafted it 11 moths later, I had enough of almost everything… (except obsidian shards, which were karma mainly if not only att….)

People play zerker cause they want a challenge. I have tankier builds as well, I could run a nomad/cleric guardian trhough any dungeon and stay up…and it would be slow and effortless…when I play my full glass ele I have a somewhat different experience…. 2 ele, 1guard, 1 warior and 1 thief plays different. And fast.

This game let’s ou set your own goals, you will never need hardcore raids as you would only gain skins…. lvl 80 = endgame, but due to the dowscaling your level 80 being downscaledto lvl 18 in a lvl 16 or 17 area is able to perform “normally…”

Let’s just re-examine where I’m coming from:

There are only FIVE races in this game, and I can’t name all 5. I don’t know how many classes there are, and the ones I do know, I don’t know what they do. (What the heck does an Engineer do?)

Race: Human, Norn Sylvari, Charr and Asura.
Proffesions: warrior, guardian, elementalist, mesmer, necromancer, thief , ranger and engineer. I do not like engineerrs myself if you want to know make one and find out.

There’s no desire to learn about them, because there’s no reason to. All grouping via a dungeon ends up with somebody tanking while I sit in the back hitting 2 and 5. People say that WoW conditioned players to just heal, dps, or tank, how is this any different?

Then you haven’t played a dungeon. There are no tanks, there are no healers. ther is no trinity, this is GW2, not “fill in rest of industry here” you do not need tanks, if you do not want to cointribute and just stand there doing rapidfire and thinking you are it… well…. you are not looking for a challenge.

I was a Gladiator in that game. I had to know stats, how to enchant, how to gem, how to itemize, what skills every class did, how to properly time abilities – none of that is required here.

Who cares. I know all classes that’s why I can do paths in 10 minutes while basic groups take 25. if you time wrong on such a run you wipe. so you are not looking to be challenged

I had actual goals laid out – you log in, you do your dailies that actually lead to gear, and that helps you in a larger raid with a large number of people, with a clear goal and progression. Dailies in this game are: log in, do 3 things, get some karma and gold.

Nobody cares for the dailies. the dailies are not important, you set your own goals. and the gold yes it’s nice. it buys skins.

My guild has about 100 people, and nobody is ever on. And the only reason I’m in it was I had nobody to actually talk to at 80 because there is no grouping in this game so where exactly would I find people? A guild, in my mind, is a group of players who have the same goals in mind (endgame content) and want to work together. Here, it’s just people with a tag. There’s no 10, 15, 25, 40 man content, and everything I can do with my guild I can just do in LFG or solo. What’s the point?

I had a guild and it had 200 ppl so we warned everybody of impeding changes and kicked everybody except for the leader and 5 offi. and reivited all that wished to come back now we have 85 and they are all active. It’s a matter of “cleaning the house”
We retained the social ppl in our guild something with communiications and all. I pug all my dungeons/fractals and so on, all story I solo, I just like to share things sometimes, so I have guilds. not A guild, but guildS. 2 for WvW, 1 for PvE with friends I have known since gw1, and 1 free slot for tryouts or temprary joins, and my bank guild which is purely utility.

For an mmo, there seems to be very little structure. It’s like, instead of having 10 or 25 maximum players for content, and having lots of it, there’s just random world bosses that any number of people can do, and then 5 man dungeons. So I’m supposed to go to a timer website, then every 15 minutes go to the next world boss with 300 people and get a chest of yellow items that I sell for 20-25s on the trading post and just gather more ascended materials I don’t need and can’t sell?

No you should find something you like and stop being sad it’s not WoW or just head back, It is an MMO it is a world you can roam around in . You do not need to do anything specific… so it doesn’t need structure. If you do not like World bosses do something else.

O and it is only the main box you’re playing not the 7th or 8th boxed add-on. so do not expect 10 years of content from a game. which was launched 2.5 yrs ago.

And that’s it? Just do that?

You have misssed a whole thread of constructive responses and you show no signs of improvement whatsoever. If you think so pls throw in the towel.,

^Additions on m previous post

Condition dmg formulae need only be reworked a small bit

Bleeding for example does (0.05XCondiDmg)+ Lvl X 0.5+ 2.5 dmg /stack

This should be changed:
application of condition dmg on hit to the CondiDmg_totalbleed should be equal to:
lvl X 10 condidmg + 50+condidmg
(in case of a lvl80: 850 + condition dmg)

Calculation for dmg would be simplified:
0.05* condidmg_totalbleed /tick
(in case of an empty condition 850/20=42.5 for said lvl 80)

I do not know how much more or less overhead this system would have compared to previous system, but as dmg is only calculated 1 time for an enemy form this table this part should be better, but the addition of condition dmg to the total_stack table could be quite heavy…

IMO if this is possible for the server to handle (discarding or replacing stacs is overhead as well) ,we would have a possibility for a remake of the present condition system without the stack cap.
Retaining all present possibilities except for the -imidiate- scaling with might and banner, but the effects would carry for the duration of the application instead IMO generally improving condi dps by just a bit.
As individual conditions are no longer traced the amount off additions to the total stacks could be used as a measurement for participation bonusses ingame.

I do know this is a solution in a non dedicated thread but I hope it will be a decent enough suggestion and people will find this…or refer.

Only question I have is how to get all condition dmg recorded. Could so much information be captured and added. if you have the previously mentioned SS warriors all 200 doing a full adrenaline flurry at the same time… you would be collecting dmg for 1000+ conditions in a second if not double the amount, can this be added (if ppl are running sigil of strength or casting FGJ, of losing mighht or food condition dmg values could vary and would this be easily handled by the engine in the second while all other applications, dps and so on are also handled… and would this lead to less load in the end…

Or should we continue basing condition dmg on 25 newest stacks… and replacing all info each time in the table for th newest 25 stacks individually?

People have supplied dozens of ways to change conditions and even more variants:

Things which could change conditions would be:

Changing the amount of applications of any given to a lower amount but increasing dmg. (would complicated things even more (IMHO))

Changing the mechanics to add the actual overflow points to condition dmg overflows. (requires a new overflow system)
-As direct dmg (could be done, problem is direct dmg would be subject to armor )
-As an increased version of the condition (bleeding turns into heamoraging s doubled/tripled/qudrupled and so on dmg for each time flipped (seems broken when I type it..)

My suggestion would be:

Changing the mechanics so that only the condition dmg, as is at the time of applying, is added to respective newly created “total-condition stack” for each damaging condition, (being total of the condition dmg added by players times stacks added) (which could be stackable or as high as the maximum precise 32bit variable (total of 16.7M condition dmg maximum)…

My workout:

Goal: Allowing stacks to increase beyond a total of 25.
My Idea just contains a total condition and is scaled of all combined condition dmg*condition applications for duration) leaving 1 stack, but scalability far above the present as only the total amount of conidtion dmg which has been used for applying the conidtion is stored and the total condition dmg can be used to calculate the actual dmg. (which would allow for mechanics as epidemic to function BUT will not allow for added might added after the cast to affect condition dmg already stacked, which would considerably reduce load and allow for much higher stacks (infinite as long as the variable will allow for the number))

Problem: scaling on condition dmg will need to be reworked so conditions will scale with the base dmg. Base dmg needs to be converted to condition dmg so you can actually add a value in condition dmg for each application.

Comparison Present and Proposal:
So if 2 people (1 with 10 condition dmg and 1 with 15 condition dmg) would both add 2 bleeds (1st for 5 secs other for 8 secs ) When changed you do not track the 4 individual bleeds any longer

Example as it is now:
1st p1 bleed (10,10,10,10,10,0,0,0,0,0)
2nd p1 bleed(10,10,10,10,10,0,0,0,0,0)
1st p2 bleed(15,15,15,15,15,15,15,15,0,0)
2nd p2 bleed(15,15,15,15,15,15,15,15,0,0)
(Leaving the engine with easier traceable dmg patterns but an enourmous overhead, and allowing you to have benefit ofd a later dropped banner or might)

But you would combine all condition dmg in 1 TOTAL variable "condition_dmg_total for the known duration and thus with the condition dmg at the time of casting combined

Example as it could be:
total bleed (50,50,50,50,50,30,30,30,0,0)

(as individual tracking is removed load would be reduced and stacks could be build up much higher. The only consequence is banners and might should be applied before casting or their effects will not be added to the stacks you have already cast before they go up. on the other hand condition will not be overwritten, but the actual dmg will be less easiliy traceable (for loot distribution and so on).

Solution: (I think a 32 bit value could get a precise value which would always be acurate even in a 100 man zerk (16.7M condi cap max) (well if you would have 200 ppl all running S/S warriors all being able to cap out at 32-33 stacks of bleeds you could have use for 200*33 stacks*~2000 conidtion dmg (=13,2M condition dmg total) which should fit IMHO, for the few uber condi dmg characters… well I think it has still an overflow of 3.5M and there will be others not running s/s warrior or condition in the first place as well.)

I do not know it this would be implementable, but it would allow for a lot more use of conidtion dmg. and it would still allow condition scrubbing as before., use of epidemic ( From world boss send 10M condition dmg bleed to basic spawn? Ouch… ), or other condition based mechanics. (see also future revenant)

It would also alllow for a huge application of condition dmg at world bosses (it could actually compete with DPS IMO) and It would reduce the amount of condition dmg tracing to 1 table per spawn (7*60 (header + damaging conditions(bleed/torment, confusion/poison/fire/terror))*(seconds)), other condtiions including vulnerability could stay at original system…. (though I do not mind if you rework them so they are added with no end. (forcing us to take a condi clear))

It has 1 remark, any special conditions (poison master and improved burning) could be applied as well if they would be introduced for the stackable conditions, just by multiplyng the condition dmg with a relevant amount of condition dmg

Edit note: This has been modded a few times, I hope it is still comprehensible and readable after 7 edits…)

I play PvE mostly and do some WvW but I’m still a bunny… my PvP experience is limited.

I have 17k AP… Just to say:" AP doesn’t automatically make you expert in any field."
AP shows you did some of a lot of stuff either once or a few times, It doesn’t give you any guarantee except people have played on that acccount, I have people in my guild who share accounts with moms/dads/or brothers/sisters… and they sometimes join parties while I expect them to be others… Skill can be quite different though, gear remains the same if they also share chars,..

I know all dungeons I like (night set e.g: AC, SE,TA,COF,COE), but need to be carried in CM. as I just do it a few times a year. I have joined Arah melee groups 2 yrs ago but wouldn;t just enter a melee lupi group atm as I am too rusty. Used to do HotW daily 24 months ago like arah, but haven;t been there for over a year, tbh I visit Frostgorge only for achieves, map completion and guild missions and and a occasional Jormag…

Just for the ide this game runs now for 900+ days, if you did daily from start you could be at 9k AP without doing anything but dailies….

I sometimes thickfinger 4 instead of only 5 on my stafff ele…. which can be fatal in quite a few scenario’s, comparable with the jumps on short and longbow of ranger or sword 2 or GS 3 or 5 on warrior, or gs 3 on guard…

I have had it happen to me a few times in my 6000 hours of playing.. And I do sometimes use mouse to click skills as it will PBAOE target stuff with the target on mouse directy, which can be usefull on staff aoe’s or other aoe’s on many characters

As pure condition builds are still below parr I’d say:

Invest in hybrids if you want conditions in PvE
for pve:
Carrion/rampager/sinister

For WvW
pure conditions ( roaming)
Dire/rabid
hybrids: (multi use, roaming, focusgroup)
Rabid/rampager or Rabid/sinister
