Headphones skin?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

So I know this is an odd request but I wanted to see if anyone else thought it would be cool of Anet to add a head skin in the shape of headphones… heck you could even make them thematic with 2-3 variants. Dye-able I’d hope. I am sure Asura have the technologies to manifest such things. I love how the earmuffs look but I think headphones similar to the earmuff skin would be awesome.

Anyone else think this would be a cool little thing they could add?

It is, because as we have seen, some short bows can be large. A skin isn’t a good way of determining what it is.

Mechanics are. Long bow because guardians want a long range option, and short bow because warrior already has long bow and Anet tends not to give classes in an armor weight tier the same weapons with a very limited exception or two.

It really is a toss up.

Weapons that are shared among professions (including Revenant):

  • Light: Focus, Staff, Scepter
  • Heavy: Shield, Sword, Mace, Hammer
  • Medium: (Only exception where a single weapon isn’t shared between 3).

Doesn’t look very “limited” to me.

Sword (7/9) will also be the most equitable weapon among the classes. Only Necromancer and Engineer not hinted to be able to wield them. Ele and Rev have been speculated from datamined info.

I said tend to not a steadfast rule.

Iconic weapons tend not to be shared, and a longbow on warrior is iconic because they are the only heavy class to wield a bow with such range. Correct me if I am wrong but, a larger bow requires more strength to wield it due to the size and resistance of the string no? If so, warriors are renowned for brawn, while guardians for divine magic.

It could be long bow, but short bow just seems more likely to me.

Does medi have too much burst in PvP?

in Guardian

Posted by: PistolWhip.2697

PistolWhip.2697

Funny how Medi Guard was suboptimal from launch, criticized for intolerably long burst CDs, and while there was one change (Renewed Focus), circumstances made it into a scary counter-meta hero.
It’s just that the match-up versus the Medi Guard became easier for it to fight, is all. A friend has played Medi Guard from launch (2 months into the game he invented 21614); he notices that with Cele running rampant, Medi Guard has just enough control, defenses, and burst damage to overcome Cele builds’ sustain. The emphasis on more 1-on-1 showdowns also helps its survivability, because Guards can’t really run. They have to win it.
To add, Medi Guard is a fairly acquired taste, and you don’t really see many people run around with a Zerker Guard (for mental health reasons) – that is why you think they have too much burst when you get hit with basically all of the Medi Guard’s skills and lose a big chunk of health. You’ll think different when you fight them more.

Med guard is one of the most common if not the most common build by far in PvP. Not sure what you’re talking about. All the weapon type variants, Hammer/Scepter, Gs what have you run meditations nowadays.

Bunker guards are the acquired taste. I have seen maybe one in the past month. and I pvp almost every day.

Then there would be no heavy class with shortbow. I think Anet would take this as an opportunity to introduce it to heavies. It could be either but I dislike people being mislead by the skin argument. The skin is the exact same replica on shortbow and longbow variants in size, design and colour. So it really is a toss up. I am holding my bets for shortbow though.

Give us the price already

PistolWhip.2697

If you can’t save up $30-50 since they announced it, perhaps you should stop playing videogames and start working/finding work. You can even do some basic online stuff for money that only takes your time, no skills.

Before saying “that’s really cheap”, “get a job”… it might not occur to you that a lot of gamers are students who are on limited budgets and/or a lot of people spend money on so many other things than gaming, so it’s just not there for grabs. Most people likely have other activities they spend money on aswell, and following the logic of many an economist: many small costs make one huge. :p

On top you don’t take into account that people might think they could spend their money on something better: buying a game/game addition they’d enjoy more than this one. If you wanna pay $50 on a GW2 expansion, go ahead, but if that’s the price they’ll ask for it, might aswell buy another full game for $50.

If they are students with limited income either
A. Assume 39.99 to 59.99 and save accordingly
B. Don’t buy it.

Guild wars 2 is not a life saving or essential product if the student cannot afford it, well then too bad. It is not Arena net job to care about your individual priorities with money you either buy it or you dont. If you don’t you can still play until you eventually can afford the expansion.

So why should anybody care if they are a student?

Because sometimes selling something cheaper to attract MORE consumers can even out to more profit in the end because the quantity of buyers is increased in a substantial enough amount?

Because if more students or whoever buys HoT there is more chance they will stick around and use Gems on occasion which may even out to more of a profit after a period of time from that one person alone?

It isn’t Anet’s job to care for people, but undoubtedly, being a company which wins the favour and heart’s of consumers rather than the immediate profit, can be far more successful than the opposite, it is all based on what the situation will be.

EDIT: I also forgot to add, Because one of the main factors used in sales pitch for GW2 was the buy once never have to pay again strategy which would attract a certain consumer base. Said consumer base is likely to have a limited disposable income?

How strong are Rangers?

That last paragraph with your EDIT hit the nail on the head.

It is my primary beef with Ranger when comparing it to other classes. At a certain point, it begins to feel like you’ve hit the class’s skill ceiling while some other classes still have quite a bit more “wiggle room”.

I agree entirely. In fact, I am glad you’re being so reasonable about it, as when i say such a thing about a class people assume I am calling them bad. That isn’t the case, you can have amazing rangers and amazing players who pick ranger to focus on. The class itself limits them however just due to its design philosophy. One of my main classes I played for 3000+ hours is Warrior and it suffers from EXACTLY the same limitation. It is an entry level class which becomes highly ineffective outside a broken celestial amulet in higher tier play. Even then it is down to the setup being broken for a warrior than player skill ceiling. It was disheartening when I first found out this is far as I could go with the class, as the higher skill ceiling classes allowed those without limits to outplay me if they had mastered their respective profession enough.

I hope one day, classes like Warrior and Ranger do get the chance through Elite Specs to allow for higher skill ceiling and more creative combat freedoms that come with active play, but I fully realise Anet will keep them as a base easily accessible because they need classes like them to cater to the newer player.

There are 2 solutions.

1 Get a third friend for running dungeons.

2 Dont start content if you dont have the time to finish it.

I dont see Anet being able to do much. It doesnt matter what system they design, trolls will abuse it. You just got unlucky with some inexperienced and insensitive players.

Reminds me of a certain quest for Teq’s first revamp. That week you hard to speak to Rox to finish a certain meta event or chain but people would constantly die next to her on purpose because she was programmed to auto-disengage whatever convo and run up to the nearest body to rez as priority. People would literally run into exploding corpses and pull mobs to die next to her to prevent people from finishing the chain.

Trolling has no bounds. Never underestimate it.

How strong are Rangers?

Posted by: PistolWhip.2697

PistolWhip.2697

@PistolWhip:
That is true at the lowest levels of play where anyone can grab and Longbow and Rapid Fire all the people that don’t have a clue how to mitigate it.

At the higher levels of play, Ranger is not an easy class and there is a large gap between good rangers and bad rangers.

It is effective enough for mid to high tier as well. It isn’t about mitigation, as it isn’t that hard to counter. It is just an easy build to play which is good for entry level players combined with the ranger’s passive style being a great place to start the game in general. Ranger is a welcoming class to beginners, and whether Rapid Fire can be mitigated or not is irrelevant to that.

The only places you don’t see the ‘pew pew easy build’ in question run is in ESL tournaments against organized teams because it actually doesn’t do much but score free kills. It will however work in Ranked and Unranked, and the OP doesn’t need to worry about that unless they plan to become a PvP player partaking in various tournaments set up by ANET with a team. After playing themselves they can take off the training wheels and try other specs.

EDIT: In high levels of play, rangers aren’t as prominent as other classes as far as I am aware. It seems to be one of the many classes where the wall you hit is hard to pass in terms of skill, as the passive classes tend to allow less creative freedom in combat. This means it scales less with player skill even though it will perform satisfactory almost all the time and is a safe bet. Which is probably where it’s difficulty stems from in higher tier play, where a class’ scaling on what the player’s style and experience is, is far more important.

New Party Kicking Mechanic is Unfair!

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: PistolWhip.2697

PistolWhip.2697

Again, * your team is losing due to someone’s ineffective build and you ask them* thats perfectly fine but what happened here isnt like that at all. someone joined the team before the match even started you ask them to change, even if done politely with no shouting thats still not okey.

That is more than okay. Asking isn’t demanding. To have the knee jerk reaction of kicking someone ou of their own hard earned instance is what ISN’T okay. They had no right to come in, refuse to cater to the already established expectations of the HOSTING party (without even deliberating might I add) and then kick them only to waste the whole instance anyway.

That is what is truly wrong in this scenario. There is no malicious intent in OP’s situation it is merely for the convenience of not staying up all night.

now imagine if every one acts like that. you join a group, get kicked, join another, get kicked again, another get kicked again. Until you get “lucky” and find a group of completely new players. How would that run go? plenty of wipes and no one teaching you what you’re doing wrong.. so there is no growth and next time you’re going through all this cycle… until eventually you get fed up and quit.

On the other side there are the vets who stick together only vets dont play a game forever. some quit, some take a break, some move on to another game. The pool gets smaller and smaller and no new players are replacing the vets that stop playing because we have segregated them. Until one day it starts getting bad. its hard to find a party without a long wait so one fine day they decide perhaps its worthed to let new players in the party and teach them only by now so many have quit out of frustration and the game is a shell of its former self.

Was it worthed?

Her aim was to finish off the instance. That they’re helping her doing it is already compensation. By helping them understand how to perform better they’ll finish her off quicker… isnt that also compensation? Next time she goes for it she might get them in her party again and now they’re even better from what they learned and practiced in the meantime.. isnt this also compensation ?

Above everything else she would most likely have actually finished the instance instead of having to start from scratch… more compensation.

not really. You dont always get to team up with people you’re familiar with. as for cohesiveness and trust, yes most certainly but you dont foster those values by essentially telling people they dont know what they’re doing and should listen just to what you say instead. As a matter of fact if you look up how to set up effective teams a few common suggestions are to share knowledge, give everyone a chance and top above all is no ego.

That isn’t how real life happens. You’re exaggerating in a a non-existent domino effect. What would realistically happen is, eventually I would encounter a group willing to teach (which is what HAS happened) or I would read or watch a guide, even asking friends who knew on advice. Map chat isn’t even a bad idea. I have done all of the above, and it has made me a better player for it. There is more than one way to gain the upper foot needed to be accepted into groups.

Your second point is irrelevant to what I said. No one is telling anyone anything, but a trust in each other’s abilities must be garnered to lead to that conclusion. You don’t just group up and think everyone is clever with good ideas. After months or years of playing together you know each other’s strengths, weaknesses and opinions. This means you know your teammates are knowledgeable and versed enough to make good suggestions and vice versa. That is the cornerstone of team play and team work. Trust. Reliability that stems from trust. There is little to no trust in strangers or pugs, especially this far into the game, which means none of what goes on in PUG parties has anything to do with the trust necessary to build a team network from.

Ego has nothing to do with this. It is about efficiency, effort, and enjoyment. All 3 of which a player should be allowed to choose how he/she fulfills that criteria. In this case, it was efficient for OP to seek experienced players, OP felt too tired and drained to exert the effort to teach newer players, and OP’s enjoyment would of stemmed from finishing the path but was hampered thanks to the clumsy recklessness of three stooges.

The only problem with being so angular in your definition of traitlines is that it makes certain ones necessary. For a good example, look at warrior’s new traitlines. There are a mix of great defense (damage reduction/cleanse), offense (damage modifiers, skill enhancement), and utility (new capabilities) spread among all the traitlines. Even though most warriors will take the defense traitline for cleansing Ire, you can still make builds without b/c there are good cleanse options in other lines. That leads to a lot of diversity.

For eles, its more like: you need cleanse, so everybody takes water. You need tankiness, so you take earth or arcana. That leaves you 1 traitline to play with. Pigeon-holing at its worst.

Though I agree Ele’s need more variety in their traitlines… Warriors take Cleansing Ire out of necessity. It is one of the only useful condi-cleanse traits. Apart from PvE because it is faceroll easy, every warrior build on any guide or wiki has Cleansing Ire because it is hard to condi cleanse reliably without it.

That aside, I agree on the Ele points.

I agree with you there, and alluded to as much. Cleansing Ire gives a TON of cleanse for so little investment, so its always taken. However, with upcoming changes you can at least imagine cases where mending will be taken. You can also make a pretty nice build with some combination of sigil of cleansing, brawler’s recovery, shouts with soldier/trooper runes, restorative strength, mobile strikes, and quick breathing. While meta pvp builds will take defense because it offer so much great stuff, you are at least tempted to make other choices.

For ele its just water or gtfo.

Ah I thought you meant currently. Yes the upcoming changes are very favourable and a boon to warrior.

I feel like it is just a theme they want to keep of cleansing water… though they could make cool things out of burning conditions off with fire. Like being immune to bleed in fire attunement because you auto-cauterize. (with a trait of course)

Ranger has a strong correlation of player skill to Ranger skill than some other classes.

That said, it also has a low barrier to entry in PvE due to pets tanking for you.

This sadly leads to why when I’m in fractals I’m often horribly disappointed with other Rangers because they never progressed beyond that low level and actually learned the mechanics of the class … nor the game really.

When you start to learn the subtle nuances of the Ranger class, it is extremely rewarding. Some examples of these nuances are:

  • When you pet swap, the pet you just swapped in will try to use a particular skill every time. Canines, for example, will try to do their knockdown first-thing.
  • Sword #2 to roll backwards, untarget, turn 180, Sword #2 again. You just went quite far away from your target. You can combo these in multiple ways and even throw in Lightning Reflexes.

Actually in PvP it is considered one of the lower difficulty low risk easy reward classes. Dunno about WvW or PvE. Classes where player skill correlates with class performance = Engineer, Mesmer, Thief and Elementalist (Despite what celestial has made of the class.)

That said they are very strong, and have a fair share of beginner builds and some advanced ones too so you can have a cohesive experience throughout your mastery of it.

How about a racial core specialization?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: PistolWhip.2697

PistolWhip.2697

Racial PvE skills are already bad enough as it is.

They should have never been so different. They should have been identical in mechanics, and only look different in visuals.

For example, where a norn would “Become the Bear”, become a werebear and get 5 skills, a human would use “Avatar of Balthazar”, an asura get a “Heavy Combat Suit”, a charr use “Blood Rage” and a sylvari a “Husk Form”, and get a different-looking transformation, and 5 skills that do exactly the same but with completely different visuals.

Any racial specialization would also have to be the same: Identical effects, different visuals, effectively making it a ‘core PvE specialization’ equippable only in PvE and WvW, that affects only PvE skills and mechanics.

Picking a race should be a matter of lore and taste, not part of making a build.

If they were to add a strong set of racial skills and specializations this would be the best way to do it. A great idea in fact. Then it doesn’t matter what race you pick to the game, but it does to how players and you perceive your character, which is awesome.

I do however still think they should go about it in a mechanic environmental way. I also think Classes need this distinction in lore like GW 1 had also. It was one of the best parts for me. Professions openly meant people had opinions on you and the lore was solid. I.E. Necromancy being taboo, or Assassins being on the fine line of moralty and being questioned by other profession’s mentors in the Shing Jea Academy.

Some distinction would be nice flavour to add as polish, and I think the optimum way of doing so would be in PvE adding functions to your race rather than skills, or traits.

There could be secret paths and shortcuts through certain maps only certain races can open for a period perhaps. Maybe the event suggestions I gave above. It would only make sense that a race’s home area and town have positives and maybe even negatives for it?

Humans in Queensdale might aggro centaurs primarily over other races, and Asura might have the same with the Inquest? However humans could also have an innatre speed boost and such in Kryta. (This would all have to be open world of course, where the content for the most part is more so about setting a scene and tone than challenge.) Obviously I haven’t given any of these much thought, I just wanted to make a point that the small atmosphere setting changes that would accumulate into feeling different from one another as races but equal to each other as players would be not only fair but cool.

Terrible idea. I don’t even agree with racial skills being anymore powerful and think cutting them is fair and nothing to qualm over.

Such a specialization will be either so useless its a waste of time to implement, or so useful it forces you to play certain races. I’d hate to have to roll my human Thief as a Norn or Sylvari, or have to roll my Sylvari Ele as a Human or Norn. The race thing should stay as always cosmetic in terms of balance.

A better idea for adding substance to races would be to add prominent points in PvE play or story which change. I.E. Adding alters that humans could pray at around Tyria to their Gods for easing certain events, or adding Asura workstations around Tyria in the same fashion which would summon golem allies temporarily for a nearby meta event etc… You get the idea.

WoW needs more Gemstore Hoodies. They are making a critical mistake by not adding such.

exactly man, you are completely right, if they would scrap the monthly subscription and added more Gemstore Hoodies, I would definitely play WoW much more

Precisely! Who doesn’t like a good hoodie? Satan that’s who.

Guys please. Can we not make this a Class A vs Class B thread? This is a bout bringing back an old crowd favourite that currently wouldn’t have issues fitting into the game at it’s current level of meta.

I know he started it, but let us be better than him and not advocate for a change by pointing fingers at the other kid in the playground.

Fair, I won’t agree or disagree. It is so far in the past, chances are I don’t even agree with some parts of my post from years back.

I know Daphoenix didn’t come up with it first, but he popularized it. That is usually the case in builds or life to be honest. People get an idea from other people’s ideas and the ones we remember are the ones who give it spotlight not the creators which aren’t always the same person :P.

Care to place bets what day the beta it opens up is going to be on?

Its actually a pretty clever way of sorting people who can play while the staff will be in office to watch.

WoW (if I recall) is a good example of this were the population shoots up and then starts to drop off relatively soon after an expansions release.

Yeah WoW has had troubles recently with retaining players (myself included): http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/4219-WoW-Down-to-6-8-Million-Subscribers

How much that is owed to an aging game formula and how much is owed to an aging game genre is up to debate. I’m inclined to agree with the former though. What Anet has to do though is learn from what happened to WoW.

WoW needs more Gemstore Hoodies. They are making a critical mistake by not adding such.

Youtube vids offer an unrealistic view of the class, alot of vids only show fights against weak opponents/full zerk who simply get 1 shotted by any full zerk proffession

+100

Remember almost all the videos by youtubers are montage highlight reels showing off the best fights. It’s for entertainment purposes. they don’t edit in the constant deaths, mistakes and counters to any spec they run in WvW (unless for specifically showing off a weakness or such) because that would make for poor entertainment and reputation.

My friend told me of a youtuber who offered to pay people on his server so they would let him beat them and record it for youtube.

-100

“YouTube now operates as one of Google’s subsidiaries.5 The site allows users to upload, view, and share videos, and it makes use of Adobe Flash Video and HTML5 technology to display a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media video. Available content includes video clips, TV clips, music videos, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos”.

Guild Wars 2 players use youtube for education purpose and entertainment purpose.

So what is the problem with players “showing-off” the best fights on youtube? So what if they edit mistakes? Let me ask you something: if you were doing a presentation for school or for business: would you not edit your mistakes? would you not show-off your best talent/skills?

It do not make sense for you to target those players and put them down for presenting the game for what it is on youtube.

All Guild Wars 2 player videos are real: not fake except for exploits, botters and hackers videos. The videos i present to you from players are not fake, exploits, botters or hackers: they are real. You can ask Arena net to check them if you want to see that if they are if you want more evidence.

Sure! there are some players use abuse youtube videos for bad purpose but there are some players who use youtube for good purpose also. Good Purpose to demonstrate the problem with the game, profession, bugs and even explots so in return: if Arena net want too, will take action and fix them.

I am using these players videos to present Elementalist from their presentation of the Elementalist profession. And Yes!, their demonstration is real. And Yes! their demonstration show evidence of the Elementalist profession is broken.

Here is a no-video evidence and a no-edit thread of Elementalist Profession being OP: Yes! it is 3 years old. Do you see any difference? Do you see any similarity? Is the Op “showing-off” or “making up” evidence? In the end: was the OP telling the truth? or was the Op not telling the truth? They call the Op a troll and other names and make fun of the Op: is the Op a troll and the other names?

read-

but I felt like the problem is not related to one particular build. Eles are the only profession that can be tanky, deliever lots of damage, mobile, have lots of cc and can be invulnerable”.

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them

No, I don’t feel the need to. A lot of players are just as skilled if not more, but not all of us want to put the effort into making videos, so no not everyone wants to show off their talents. I don’t even know why you make this assumption.

You are completely missing the point. No one is putting said youtubers down, said youtubers couldn’t care less. The point is, you shouldn’t use videos posted for entertainment purposes as educational sources of information.

The videos they DO post for such information and education often feature them dying to show you what they failed at doing and HOW their spec can be countered so you learn from it.

Youtubers are human beings like us. We’re not infallible.

On the subject of the thread you posted, I hope you know I got shouted down by the Elementalist forums in a flurry of QQ after advocating a heavy nerf when D/D Ele was really ridiculous. The period they stacked boon duration, monk and water runes and could solo groups of players with relative ease after learning to rotate. I am not just some biased Ele player, I am someone who thought a while back that they needed a nerf, and now because I am objective enough to say, I also advocate that Fresh Air is not OP, and that you’re overreacting.

@Raif

Hear, hear.

All i will say is Fresh Air

Enjoy your “Not Broken” profession

PVP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRuuRc7AFXQ
WVW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZauXcGdhpg

(For a 3 years game: this is a insult to Guild Wars 2 Alpha Testing and Guild Wars 2 Beta Testing)

I have a question: will Arena net take action against this profession or will continue ignore this broken profession for more years in the next profession/trait balance update?

Pride: there are no Elementalists seem pretty broken, Elementalists Are Broken.

Speak the truth by all means; be bold and fearless in your rebuke of error, and in your keener rebuke of wrongdoing

Fresh Air wasn’t in the original release and was added in the first iteration of the Sky Pirates.

Before you QQ about a class being OP, learn what the class can and cannot do. Most other classes can match the damage of what is in these videos with less skill usage and not requiring timing on attunement swapping nor leaving itself vulnerable because it used ALL of it’s cards on initial burst. Also good on you for putting videos that are old, predating the nerfs that Fresh Air itself received in damage reduction and internal cooldown. It’s like the old “thief is OP” arguments there were before culling was removed. They weren’t OP if you learned to dodge and didn’t have a bug giving them extra time in stealth.

Elementalist burst is relatively the same. Learn to react in time, dodge the air burst bait the RTL/Lightning flash and then proceed to kill said very squishy elementalist who cannot go anywhere.

Poorly thought argument is poor with poor evidence.

Fresh Air isn’t OP, it is just very effective against certain classes because Focus brings reflects and invuls, and blinds vs melee. It is a very strong spec, and Fresh Air isn’t broken.

People are constantly mistaking an Excellent powerful spec that is effective, with overpowered. Just because something works well it doesn’t make it overpowered, it means other specs should be looked at so they can inspire a similar kind of cohesiveness.

Why not war gs charge CD also increase to 40 like ele :P

It can’t be back a rush with 1200 range is too much (oh wait, warrior gs?)

Would be nice if Warriors had 10 more weapon skills.

Would be nice if all extra skills ele have were useful.
Would be nice if all extra skills ele have were had cooldowns low enough to be even comparable with other classes skills.
Would be nice if all extra skills that actually can do damage didn’t require other long cd skill setup to hit.

They are useful. They have longer cool downs because there is so many. Have you played Fresh Air? It has one of the fastest cool down bursts in the game.

As a supporter of the RTL Installment to 1200 Range, stop comparing classes. Apples and oranges.

This right here is just as irritating as when warriors complain they don’t have as many boons or combo fields on demand. Or some other non descript class wants what some other class has.

Ele’s can’t have what warriors have or it would be overpowered. (and VICE VERSA might I add.)

So stop using this terrible argument.

It is a terrible argument as looking in a vacuum or comparing other classes together people forget that there are other talents or abiltiies to weigh in on.

Still, RTL should now be 1200 range on 20 second cooldown without that hit/miss junk.

A

I used to D/D all the time until I took a nerf to the knee…

Daphoenix angered too many warrio kids who couldn’t kill him and cried so hard that ANet had to listen. The rest of us Ele players are simply too mature (and likely tired from jobs) to cry that hard to get it back. Or to bother explaining that daphoenix, while good, simply trolled people, rarely getting kills.

D/D used to be an awesome, exciting and fun set, and yes, a lot of it revolved around a low CD RtL (and Burning Speed) to give it a kinetic feel.

ANet took the profession that is the lightest armored, lowest health, no inherent defense, nerfed healing coefficients, and made it slow. Seriously, I get that their CONCEPT is that Thief is supposed to be most mobile, because… reasons. But that doesn’t matter when gameplay balance suffers.

Eles are the squishiest, period, unless played to the hilt 100% of the time, no mistakes. Therefore, they should be able to output the most damage, along with being the most mobile to compensate.

As someone who has mained both a warrior and an ele for an extensive period of time I find it rude that you’d insinuate one has a more mature playerbase. May I remind you of the first time D/D Ele got a nerf years ago? The Ele section was so toxic and QQ riddled that people ingame when encountering my ele would disclude me from events because they were afraid I’d be depressing. Such symptoms were also all over Lions Arch map chat. Warriors and Ele’s both have their bad apples.

Also the nerf was just as much about SPvP balance as it was WvW, arguably more so in fact. So Daphoenix and his videos of him running around for 20 minutes with bundles in PvE only worked to have Anet nerf Bundles, not Ele. Ele was an issue in SPvP.

And to your last point, D/D Ele Cele would like a word. It and Shoutbow Warrior are arguably the two most entry level friendly meta specs in the game because they allow for a large margin of errors.

Support RTL, not your warped idea of balance.

Precisely. Or even at the very least, outside SPvP and possibly WvW (I don’t WvW enough to know.).

In PvE this is just a silly thing to not change back, all it causes is inconvenience for anyone playing and mapping on Elementalist.
