I for one like this change. I have 12 characters. 3 legendaries on my main. It took me about 4 months in total to craft them, and being able to use them on all my characters will definitely motivate me towards crafting more legendaries in the future.

Maybe Arenanet could do something like offering you a non-bound legendary back if you have 2 of the same.

Legendaries haven’t been prestigious since 2-3 months after launch.

A feature release is not an expansion, it’s a release focused on game features. Examples of game features we’ve done in the past would be: guild missions, account achievement system, spectator mode, new pvp maps, daily world boss chests, removing culling and giving visibility options, the WvW WxP system, etc.

I personally enjoyed this patch alot! The quality of the living story has been rising more and more with every update. I can’t wait for the epilogue, and more than all, I can’t wait to see what they’ll do with season 2. Good Job Arenanet!

I do have patience! I have played GW2 diligently since release day, have tolerated it’s early months of bug filled gaming. I have 5 lvl 80’s, three characters with maxed crafting lvl’s, a number of ascended weapons and celestial armor. I however wouldn’t pay time or gold, or grind for the ascended. Besides, I don’t really care for it’s appearance and the difference in stats doesn’t warrant the effort anyway.

Don’t you think you’re contradicting yourself a bit here? You don’t care for the appearance or the stats, so why are you complaining? You don’t NEED it. It’s for the people who ENJOY the extra character progression. You can do anything in this game without ascended armor.

What about people who enjoy BIS gear and don’t enjoy tedium? I swear, everyone in this forum assumes that everyone likes the same thing. If I want BIS gear then I need to get ascended gear, and getting ascended gear is terrible.

I also enjoy making builds and performing tweaks to get the best performance out of my characters. But If I want to “tweak” something about ascended gear I need at least a week and (for weapons and armor) about 20 gold.

If you want BiS gear, work for it.

How about we get rid of ascended gear and those of you who like character progression just work on legendaries?

There was plenty of potential character progression before ascended gear, but you (collectively, not individually) were not willing to work for it.

Nope, I think your point was pretty clear. You want BiS gear, but you don’t want to work for it. You just want it handed to you. I think you’re the one assuming things, I don’t have ascended armor, I don’t really care for it. I’m just not kittening about it.

^this. pick which ever one of these 2 you like the most, and you can’t go wrong. Sword is fantastic for both of them.

If thats the only thing that keeps you playing you should probably just quit.

The developer client has a first person option and it’s been there since forever. Idk why they don’t release it.. trying to /sleep and fiddle with the camera every time you want to take a screenshot without your character in it is a pain.

They should release precursor crafting before even thinking about creating new legendaries.

Norn females are the best looking females in the game. Sure arenanet could add a few more ’’rugged’’ faces (like a scar with a blind eye, like the new male face) but then again, I wouldn’t be against 10 or 20 new pretty faces either! There can never be enough!

I got my first and only precursor drop so far at like 3100hrs, and I never expected to get one tbh. If the only reason you’re still playing is because you want to drop a precursor, then yes, you should probably quit.
