Nice troll post, man. Engineers have too much access to swiftness as it is.
I didn’t say anything about lack of movement speed, swiftness doesn’t decrease the cooldowns on turret skills which greatly restricts their rotational capacity.
Maybe there should be a trait that makes swiftness reduce cooldowns (kinda like the opposite of chill), so that engis can have perma swiftness, vigor and faster cooldowns if they take all of those traits.

I find this very hard to believe. Since around Monday, most of my queue times have been over 4 minutes and as of yesterday my queue times have shot up even further to 5-8 minutes.
Ranked or Unranked?
I’ve noticed a lot of people prefer to play unranked since it does not have the negative attitude that some ranked games tend to have.
And I don’t the possibility of getting skyhammer.

Hah. I just tried a turret engi to see what the fuss was about. A power ranger was able to take down a thumper, rifle and rocket turret all in the space of about 30 seconds with hardly any damage to him. Even the supply crate was no issue.
I see no issue with turret engis.So the faceroll class can kill the turrret from 1500 feet so theres no issue? Unfortunatley Us Melee classes don’t have Barrage, Rapid shot spam.
And since when did any single build have to be countered by every other build in the game? Hey, let’s also remove all the blocks on dps guardians, they are currently OP because thieves have trouble killing them.

Turret engis are so bad right now, they can’t move anywhere because of long cooldowns on turret skills. They need a trait that lets you pick them up and have no CD when picked up.
Alternatively, give them a trolley skill that allows you to wheel them around. The turrets can still fire while in the trolley.

If it’s against the ToS, then it seems someone is falling down on the job of shutting them down as there are many listed all the time….
what are they hurting? they arent getting on the ladderboards, they arent increasing their mmr, and all they are getting is rewards that dont impact spvp at all. no harm no foul.
Even then, those rewards are earned faster in normal arenas… lol.

They could grab block reflect and equip shield+mace…but that’s just disgusting and sacrifices so much for a little extra ranged defense…Guardian does it so much better for much less investment.

Literally…. I am so bored when I log on… I dont solo Q anymore because of the many many many problems with stupid builds, q times, matchmaking, and leaderboards. I log on for team practice, ESL’s and big tournaments…. Sometimes I just wanna have fun…. but I have now found other games for it. So freaking sad that this game is in such a low spot… Hopefully the expansion will bring the fun back.

Removed solo queue. Removed leaderboards. Removed matchmaking. Removed any competition basically.
You forgot removed ability to enter custom arenas while queuing.

Honestly, even if you’re in the wrong forum, I would suggest waiting till GW2 PvP offers anything worth being serious about. Perhaps the expansion will change the outlook on PvP.

For this to work, it should be disabled in hotjoin (if you’re fed up, just leave…) to prevent abuse to get daily wins instantly.
Second of all, the function should only become available after 5mins into the game, otherwise people give up when they still have a chance.

Daily objective defender
Daily rank points
Daily matches won
Daily resurrections
Daily interrupter
Some classes are better at defending/capping, but at least these aren’t restricted to a single class.
Some fun ones that may or may not work:
Daily rabbit finisher (finish someone with the rabbit finisher)
Daily noob slayer (kill a lower ranked player)
Daily NPC steal (kill a forest NPC when the opposite team dealt more damage)

Just play a turn based strategy game while you are waiting, and pause it when the Queue pops.
Make a second account and roll a turret engi. That’s pretty much a turn based strategy game.

Players out-participating others is the reason why the entire leaderboard is screwed up. Not because of win %.
A person winning 7/10 games can very well be ranked lower than a person who won 5/10 games.
The chart below is the reason why.I agree with Anet on implementing this system… just not the grinding leaderboard that they have. It needs a cap of some sort so players can’t easily out-participate other players.
Make the leaderboard only count the last 100 games.
Problem solved.How is that different than say, making a cap of 3 ranked games a day? Games after the first 3 will not count towards your rank or win percentage.
People will still play for the sheer competitiveness, dailies (rank should give better daily rewards imo) etc. Que times won’t be much different.
Because not everyone has time to play in middle of the week while can play many games during weekends and so on…

The biggest issue with either is 1) It’s more susceptible to douplicate ranked teams. 2) Fate can be unkind to some people’s matchmaking but that’s the luck of the draw.
There was a situation with one player where he would earn +3 points at 400 or +5 at 500 because his MMR was ridiculously low. He was top rank on the leaderboards. I doubt that’s an issue now after all the changes.
Either ways I think it’s better than the “grind” system we currently have. It’s at least worth a test ride.

Confirmed, the longer win streaks I had, the less +LB gains on average per match.
How about this for another suggestion:
Points you gain/lose from matches are use MMR as a multiplier.
I don’t know what the scale is for MMR, but say for example the average MMR is 2000. Point gain/loss is multiplied by MMR/2000. This way you are being rewarded for being a high MMR player and eliminates people exploiting the leaderboard by losing 200 games right before the start of a reward season to lower their MMR.

I just lost a point because someone rallied off me spiking his teammate. I downed both a warrior and ranger, spiked the warrior, and the ranger rallied. I then died.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. It’s been going on for months. I’ve reported it before.
This is an enormous, game-breaking bug, so I have no idea how it’s lasted for so long. Please fix.
I have never experienced this “bug” in my entire GW2 gaming career. You realise that there are plenty of insta res skills right?

Eh, I wouldn’t say invis is OP (I’ve managed to down a few thieves in their invis tonight, woop woop) but it makes for incredibly boring fights. Trying to chase someone you can’t see as a warrior is about as much fun as watching paint dry. Course, I can name a few more setups I loathe fighting….
Because fighting another warrior as a warrior is so much more fun right?

No, I beat several turret engis back when I was a noob power ranger…
With the trait, you have the same range as the turrets and larger range than the engi, so you can position yourself so that you can take down the rocket turret without any other turrets hitting you (which is also easy to dodge). After the rocket turret is dead, the engi is an easy target.
If the engi walks out to attack you, you snipe down the engi…You did.
But in reality, majority of LB ranger players in pvp are hugging turret engineers on point just like a thief.
If we’re talking bad power rangers vs bad turret engis, then of course the bad turret engi will win. The whole issue with AI builds is that they scale horribly with skill level – there’s little difference between a good and bad turret engi compared to say a good and bad mesmer.

Guardian is the best bunker class.
Both mobile and immobile on point like turret.
I disagree. Guardian is the best team bunker due to it’s combination of support and survivability, but it isn’t by any means the best solo bunker because it is easily killed on point by a good condi engi or shatter mesmer. For solo bunkering you need something that can return pressure to force your opponent to occasionally play defensively, such as a d/d or staff ele.

you know the counter to minions in a 1v1? kill the minions they cant heal themselves.. or run around in a big circle till they get confused always works for me the necro cant do much about it if you are a more mobile class
You can kill minion masters easily with any sustain class (ele/engi/warrior) since they don’t deal enough damage to kill you on those classes.
As a thief, you just have to keep the minions constantly moving by LoS’ing, jumping in, LoS’ing and repeat.

This wouldn’t work for teamq’ers with high MMR, since it’s impossible for them to gain more than 1 point per game, meaning they can’t average more than 1.

For the sake of strictly bunkering down a point, turret engi. Turrets are tankier than minions and don’t get stuck in weird places.
Wouldn’t recommend either though because they become less and less useful as you progress – turret engis are too immobile and minion masters scale horribly with skill level due to their reliance on AI.

Congrats to the deserved win, the competition was so big that it must have been tough to win this qualifier. There were 4 teams, one of them i have never saw, one had 2 subs because of the age restiriction and one of them got DCs in every tournament since 4ever. But i really enjoyed it because you know what? THIS IS ESPORTS!!

Ele/Engi- Meta builds are the best 2v2ers in the game, individually best 1v1ers in the game.. what more could you want.

Dunno I would have prefered seing TCG win aswell and I think they deserved it more but why the kitten are you complaining about counter comping? You want to tell me you wouldn’t let people from your team that multiclass switch their class to adjust so you can win money?
They switched their comp after losing 3 times in the same tournament and only won once they had switched their comp. I wouldn’t have been as annoyed if they had decided a counter comp before their first match vs TCG and stuck with that, but switching as a last ditch effort after losing 3 matches just seems like a really low blow.
