its just kittened that this food still exists in the game, especially when it stacks with all the other -cond.duration-things. It’s waay too overpowered and can completely counter a class/build.
Foodbuffs should never have that much of an impact on the game.
Imo both kind of foods should be nerfed to +-10% cond.duration (boon duration food should be brought down to 10% max aswell).

- fear is a condition and a stun so the +15% stun duration from the sigil affects both your warhorn daze and all your fears (thanks to the guy that opened the q.q thread about the effect of -stun and condition duration runes on fear, made me realize this).
Melandru runes reduce the duration of control effects in general, but Fear Knockback Pull and Knockdown dont count as stuns/dazes, otherwise they would work with Unsuspecting Foe and said Sigil of paralization, that is one thing im sure of since i checked on my warrior to see if there could be a hammer build based on fear me (and a 3 second fear turning into a 3.45 second fear would be easy to notice).

I tested Sigil of Blood and Bloodthirst a long time ago (months after release) and it sadly wasnt affected.
Still use it tho; its the last remnant of my attempt to build a lifesteal-focussed nec in the beginning.
Dont know if that has changed since then, but i doubt it.

Soul marks gives 3% per mark. not per enemy. unless there was a stealth-change in the last patch.
tested it like 2-3 weeks ago and it was definitely 3-4% (cause of gluttonay) per mark, with multiple enemies hit.

2.balancing. classwise, foodwise. especially +-XX% cond.duration-food should either be removed or nerfed into the ground. and something needs to be done about too-stealthy thieves and retaliation.

Orr-temples sell Rabid gear (and rabid accessories too).
If you want to buy it with money, you can look on the market place and search for ‘Khilbron’.
In the mean time, you can use (rare) Carrion (CondDamage>Power=Vita) or Rampager (Precision>Power=CondDamage) items.

I think the idea is fine as it is.
But just compare it to Metaphysical Rejuvenation.
The same but with twice the duration. On a class with lots and lots of ways to avoid the damage in the first place. And no invul that blocks the regeneration (like our DS).
Since necro is supposed to facetank everything (and therefore needs a lot more ways to regain HP/LF than other classes), either the duration or the CD needs a huge buff. 15secs duration would be appropriate.
In my opinion I would prefer a flat regeneration ticker whenever I am missing health over a 15 second regeneration boon when my health reaches 90%. Not every Necromancer bothers with healing power. In the long run since we are attrition fighters it would outshine that trait because what your suggesting only activates at 90% hp.
What if in a battle your hp never climbs back up to 90%? The duel has gone at least 30 seconds or more? With 40 hp per second that is 400 hp per 10 seconds and 1,200 hp in 30 seconds. The long run is what the idea in my opinion should be based around as attrition fighters.
How i thought these traits work:
If hit and under 90% life, it activates (when its off cooldown).
if thats not how it works then youre right, flat regen would be better (and would make that trait, as it is now, even worse)

Anet has already said they are making some major changes to WvW. I just hope one of those is a significant point system for kills.. like 5 points per kill, and 10 points per kill as outmanned.
Yes, skill lag also has to go. The only positive I can see to keeping it is my pet seems to be invulnerable during skill lag lol.
you remember the last “big” WvW-update?
yeah, culling was gone, but we got skill-lag and this mediocre, blob-encouraging wxp-system.

Skills are sometimes a bit laggy to me. you should mention that aswell.
Other than that:
1.Class balance.
2.Blobbing is too effective.
3.all 3 borderlands are the same
4.Siege balance. AC is a little bit too strong, other stuff like ballista is underwhelming, Oil is kitten, cause its killed pretty fast
5.where are ascended items for badges? Why cant i get every kind of stat-combination with badges? what is this mess with different stat-combos and how you can get them anyway? time to clean up this mess, anet…
6.Walls should give some kind of advantage to ppl who stand on it. Right now, when you stand on a wall, you can get hit by AoE almost everywhere, but you cant fight back cause of kittenty LOS-issues.

If anything, both, the effects and the self-conditioning should be stronger.
Especially Epidemic could need self-conditions that hurt more.

I talked to Jon Peters in the mists, aparently necro is compeltely fine and viable casue we have 2 healthbars.
Who needs invulnerability, vigor, mobility, ways to disengage or even working skills or useful traits when you ahve deathshroud.
a second healthbar that is empty at the start of a match. did you mention that to him?

Thief. it’s my secondmost played class after Necro and love to sometimes play something so completely different (compared to necro).
Problem: if you play it for too long and then switch to necro again, the nec feels soo slow and clunky
edit: giving suggestions would be easier when you could tell us what youre looking for. a class with a different and new playstyle? a challenging class? orjust soemthing that is similar to necro but not as kittened up as necro?

But yes that is the flame legion flamethrower. Notice the small spikes that come from the shoulders, usually a result of whatever dark magics and self mutilation the flame legion are using.
Pretty much all the Charr on the (earlier) Artworks have spikes,

This. And furthermore, the thing in the artwork actually looks like a normal flamethrower. Not like the flamethrower-mutation of flame-legion-dudes.
So even if this type of flamethrower was used by the flame legion, since it’s rather a normal flamethrower than a mutation, lorewise there’s no real reason against that skin.
(We already have Flame Legion (CoF)-Armour too)

My main, the necro, for all kinds of stuff.
When im roaming and want to play in easymode, i use my thief.
Sometimes (hammer-)warrior in the guild-zerg.
I also have 1 of every other class but i barely touch them anymore and almost never bring them to wuvwuv

At about 14:00 Isaiah talks about finishing downed players in a small group and the use of thiefs with high crit damage to finish them off quickly. He says that if you hit a downed player you always crit (something like D&D’s Coup de Grace?), but I had never heard about this first this before… Also, I went on into pvp to try and test it but it doesn’t seem to happen. So, is this a WvW only thing , can thiefs specifically trait for it or how does this work?
This. Is there a crit-chance bonus against downed-players? Or were you just saying “ppl with high crit chance crit a lot”?
also, Issy, isnt it annoying that you have to keep your inventory open for changing equipment and food/wrench-buffs?

LOL at Anet. Guarantee you if a thief or memser experienced this, they would be all over it, babying their two favorite classes. I lost trust in Jon Peters back when he told the necro community to learn to death shroud.

and it applies to all 3 axe-skills, just like the cooldown reduction.
i usually dont take it, cause it doesnt do anything to the wells’ damage and, as i thought, the DS-damage.
but i read somewhere here in the forums that it increases DS-damage aswell, when you have the axe equipped.

just tested in game, they both last 5 seconds so idk wtf your talking about
Trait the skill, read the tootip, note the 7x multiplier on well of suffering and use a watch to measure the time, they never lasted 5 seconds.
Well of Suffering’s tooltip is an error its meant to be 6x multiplier like Well of Corruption.
All wells pulse instantly on cast and then once per second for 5 seconds (or 10 for Blood) after.
no, well of suffering really pulses 7 times.
just count it.

Other suggestions: Reduce crit chance but we already have the ‘opposite’ which is blind in Anet’s mind.
You could also do reduce crit damage %. And a boon that increases crit damage %.
The only problem with the crit damage stuff is it starts going towards ‘weakness’ condition territory.
OR just change weakness so it works on crits too…

same as undertow, i used it with my dagger and it was always only 1 second of bleed without internal CD.
also, this is nothing specific to necromancer. similar traits of warrior, ranger, engi have comparable low numbers like 66%chance of 1 sec, 33% chance for 3 sec. etc.
Only thing that is waay better is ofc the mesmer version: 100% chance of 5 sec. bleed for clones -.-

well, usually stolen/corrupted boons are capped. but since they mentioned that a thief that steals 20 stacks of might actually gets all the 20 stacks of might, im afraid this will be uncapped and he gets the entire 18 scnds of stability then.

target loses a couple of boons, its unblockable, uncleansable, doesnt give a kitten about invulnerabilities and all that stuff. lasts at least 5 seconds. puts the revealed-debuff on the enemy for at least 20 seconds. instantly kills dagger-eles, because kitten dagger-eles. when the target dies, a precursor drops for the necromancer, its team gains 50 pts in wvw and an Anet-employee visists you personally and congratulates you for using the skill.

I’d like to see either Rising bile or a lifesteal-dot (ofc including the change that lifesteal 100% works in DS) that does something when it ends, no matter how. Damage in case of rising bile, even more lifesteal in case of lifesteal.
I hope they find a way to make this 5th skill useful for power-necs too.

You are kind of missing the point. The amazing thing about minions (and engi turrets/ranger pets) is that they don’t scale with gear.
This means that you can run a defensive or conditions build while using minions to do your direct damage (when traited for 30% more damage). If minions scaled with gear, their base stats would probably get nerfed to compensate and they’d be 100% useless for condition/defensive builds.
This. So much this.
One cool thing about minions is that you can combine them with every stat-setup and weapon you want, be it conditionmancer, powermancer, healer, whatever; all you need to sacrifice are utility-slots and traits. I would hate to see minion-users being pigeon-holed into a specific item-build for the minions to be viable.
