still Rabid > Carrion, imo. not really a fan of valkyrie.
would love to use more rampagers, but it lacks another stat combination that goes well with it. with rampager only you end up with bad direct damage, bad condition damage and a way too much precision. it’s even worse in PVP.
you can combine it with carrion, but i’d prefer some toughness to that instead of vitality.
if rampager would have a different main stat, either condition damage or power, i’d definitely use it.

So, I was re-visiting the hall of monuments skins with the addition of the new wardrobe… and was reminded of how horribly the Stygian Axe is scaled in Guild Wars 2 versus the original.
Compare the pair.
i’d hate that. gw2’s stygian axe is one of the few skins from guild wars that actually became better instead of worse

Nightmare runes – 1s instant fear was already strong, why make it 2s?Please give any further suggestions/feedback below. I know a lot of things are out of control, but these are things I can clearly see are just ridiculous currently (and 3 of them I use on my main spec).
compared to some of the other #6-boni, i dont think so. if 2 seconds is too much, then 90sec cooldown is too high aswell.

What’re you guys playin with for Runes and Sigils now?
thats probably the hardest decision to make for me.
im tempted to use energy or hydromancy or both now, since they dont interfere with my on-crit sigils anymore, but at the same time, accuracy being buffed to 7% is also pretty good.
same with my conditionspec: with sigil of torment, sigil of earth, the weapon-swap-sigils and +cond.duration, it’s really hard to decide.

That on death mechanic is highly useful in PVE and WvW. If you mean spvp, yes, you’re right, but it’s a solid trait. I’d be much more likely to complain of other minor traits before this one.
In WvW it’s only good in a zerg when youre already steamrolling. and in that case i dont need it anymore because then im already drowning in life force.
when roaming, against difficult bosses, etc. this trait/mechanic does absolutely nothing.
@drarnor: out of all the good suggestions, anet managed to pick a kittenty one. why does this sound as if this is our fault?
imo, since this is the boon traitline, at least one of the minors shouldve provided one.

A 2% increase is a 20% increase when you get 10% per death. Now you go from 0 -96% with 8 nearby deaths instead of 0-100% with 10. If you have Vital Persistance, that’s an extra second in death shroud per death. It’s not mind blowing but it’s a substantial increase and miles better than protection of the horde.
pretty much everything is better than poth in a non MM-build. doesnt make this trait good tho.
on-death is simply an awful mechanic. and imo that stuff should either be optional or only a minor part of another trait, just like reanimator became a minor part of death nova.
but we have to deal with it now. took anet almost 2 years to get rid of the previous kitten and a lot of other crappy minors are still in the game for the same amount of time, so dont expect them to change anything about it anytime soon.

1 unit = 1 supply. so you would be at 11 supply then.
I recommend Supply mastery (not capacity) instead. It doesnt need many points, the boni are really good and the fourth level (chance to get supply back when you spend all of it) procs quite often.
dropping one or two points into build/repair mastery also helps a lot.

I compared the female to large muscle male norn race and while the twilight aura is already a lot weaker than other legendary weapons, the muscle male norns have only a head sized aura.

We have another On-death-trait (awful mechanic, imo) and no boon-related minor in the boon-line. Your thoughts about that?
Do you think Path of Corruption is good enough to be a grandmaster trait?
Do you think Parasitic Contagion fits into the Spite line?
With ‘Unholy Sanctuary’ coming, do you think it’s less likely or more likely for us to get regen/heal/vampiric working in DS sometime in the future?

6 – Necromancer (Used to start with 75% HP but for some reason after the patch, you downed with 50% HP instead >_<)
in fact, necro had 66% less downed HP than every other class until anet fixed it.
8 – Engineer (Sure! The 1st thing I wanna do when I’m downed is to pull an enemy CLOSER to me -_-)
you want to rupt a stomp with it. in that case the enemy is next to you already, so i dont see what your problem with this skill is.
1.thief: it’s incredible how often i was downed but somehow managed to avoid stomps long enough to rally in WvW. both #2 and #3 are amazing.
2.ele: cause of that mist form
3.mesmer: it sucks to blink and get stomped anyway, but other than that it’s pretty good too.
4.guard/ranger: both have an AoE-rupt and a pretty good #3
5.necro: you cant do kitten against stealth/stability. fear isnt AoE, needs a target and it takes ages to cast.. damage on #3 is pretty good tho.
i dont play engi that much and im not sure how to rate warriors vengeance, so i wont comment them.

I really dont like #4 and #6 set boni which rely on large amounts of RNG.
Stuff like “5%chance when being hit” combined with a long cooldown for example.
You should either be able to trigger them in a reliable way (like the On-Heal-Stuff or perplexity’s On-Interrupt) or the chance(cooldown) should be fairly high(low)
I’d definitely like to see the Krait runes changed. Not having a 6th setbonus on land is pretty lame.

the topics may be old but since anet didnt do kitten to balance the game for nearly half a year, theyre still kind of valid.
it’s heavies, warriors mostly but guards aswell. they both can become ridiculously tanky while still being able do dish out good damage and offering a lot of utility.

will interrupts caused by pets like ranger pets, phantasms, necro minions and spirit weapons trigger interrupt effects?
player controlled AI-thingies usually dont trigger runes/sigils. necro’s golem’s knockback/down doesnt even count towards the daily.
and what phantasm can interrupt?
about the runes: the confusion is still too high/too long. compare it to the confusion mesmer has :it’s usually very short duration (3s for example) and only a few stacks.
something like 5 stacks for 8 seconds is just way over the top.

I hate to say I agree, but I agree. Guardian is in a good spot…they need to nerf warriors. Guardian is useful in every aspect of the game…whether it is fractals, or dungeons, or WvW….its just that Warriors are too OP right now that it makes guardians seem bad. They are in no way as bad as Rangers or Ele’s right now though….those two classes and even Mesmer needs far more help than guardian.

compared to warriors they seem lacking, but guardians ARE pretty good in every mode of the game (rather on the OP side of balance, imo). other classes definitely need more attention.

So as I said pre patch crits are 2510
Post patch crits ate 21402140/2510 = 0.852 which means that post patch my crits are 85% compared to pre patch.
Now with your genius idea to incorporate crit rate (my crit rate is 52% btw)
2510 * 0.52 = 1305.2
2140 * 0.52 = 1112.81112.8/1305.2 = 0.852 = 85%
Crit rate is negligible in the calculations because it remains static.
So in fact I personally lose 15% damage maybe its just my build but either way its more than expected.
Crit rate is not negligible cause its important for your total damage.
1000*0.48 + 2540*0.52 = 1785.2
1000*0.48 + 2140*0.52 = 1592.8
1592.8/1785.2=0.8922
thats 10.78%, which, to me, is close to 10% than your 15%

imo the absurdly high crit damage didnt make sense at all. it was an oversight that an all-stat-combo had more crit damage than a set that focusses on crit damage.
maybe all of celestials stats need another buff, but im completely fine with the crit damage nerf.

It isnt. All amulets for power necs boost your hp. the health is too low for that.

They drop pretty often. You need what? ~2 stacks? I got a couple of them by now and havent farmed at all. just visited LA sometimes to rescue some citizens…

Im not a programmer or anything, but i think the problem with the pet-A.I. is a technical problem. Anet just seems to be incapable of creating a working A.I.. It was kitten in gw1 and it’s still kitten after 1.5 years in gw2.
Most of the necro’s problems on the other hand are kitten traits/skills. thats a balance issue, not a technical one (except for some death shroud related things maybe). Luckily our pets are optional.
Now Anet’s balance-department appears to be just as incompetent as their A.I.-guys, but in my opinion theres still a small hope that our problems are easier to solve than the ranger’s problems.

Obviously you don’t do much roaming on your own. It is quite vital to a solo roamer, especially when tackling an upgraded camp or tower (which I solo all the time).
So what? Applied fortitude is still the reason why most people pick it (not only roamers, all kinds of players).
It may be good against upgraded camps, but how often do you encounter that? (i rarely do) And against normal camps you really dont need it.

Legendary Defender Of Ascalon. I think some people are still trying to get that one done. I got 31 or 32 completed, but never got close to this classic (grinder).
Legendary defender actually became really easy after they introduced some repeatable quests for the Pre-Searing-Ascalon
