Executioner Scythe is abit lower then BWE1 but Gravedigger hasnt lost any DPS despite ppl’s concerns. I ran Valkyrie Armor (Hoelbrak Runes + Force Sigil) and Zerk trinkets with the little Vitality in them and Zerk Weapons.

And notice in the Hardest hit vs a Player I didnt even have Guard Stacks

Its immortal until the very second 2-3 ppl actually focus you… if run anything but Soldier gear you LF bar goes away before u can say O’Sh**

Blighters Boon in Power Builds are almost as needed as Vital persistance and that is sad. Tested all weekend to go Reapers Onslaught but as soon as you are under any kind of pressure you notice the lack of LF when you miss Blighters Boon.

Nothing of this made me feel Immortal tho.. I would say I got to 100% dmg reduction with “Rise” several occassions during the Weekend and then I felt for a few seconds Immortal

I know there were massive issues with Squad UI and Raid UI and whatever but if we cant see each others Boon and Condis its absolutely pointless, if we cant see when AoE cleanse is needed or when Guardians need to grp Stab why even have a fcng Raid UI.

And tbh in those green squares I didnt even see the room or plan fr the Boon and Condis its just very poorly made and have crippled our raids tonight in WvW instead of the help it was suppose to give. I dont think our entire Guild had a single positive thing to say about it.

I hope the intent is to see the Raid UI on top of the Party UI (wich have Boons &Condis) but atm that isnt so. I hope this is something u fix for launch and I really really hope its intended.

QoL: Better AA on GS and even on RS and an Overhaul on Shouts in general: dmg, effect,CD’s etc… they arent just there yet and very few of them will replace Core Necro skills.

I have more to say but this is it in base. Also I had tons of fun on Reaper again.. havent had fun on Necro for a year.

AA on GS is its weakness but I dont know howto Buff it really… cause I get Anet point of slow cast and high reward and yes the Reward do come even in Ranked sPvP so saying its terribad is just plain wrong. Its however not a good 1v1 weapon and I will say vs “high-evade” classes in 1v1 its really useless. Glasscannon weapon ? dont know what ppl meen by that but “Nightfall” is imho best defensive Weaponskill we have since we are only class without Immune,Block ,reflect skill.

A Buff to either LF% Gen or Cast time on AA and I will never leave the GS at home. (who am I kiddin I dont do that even now, there is always weapon-swap)

in WvW try Solo or small-scale roam and u see 3-4xtimes as many Condi players as u do Zerk

I love Reaper after 3y as Necro my Power (hate Condi Meta) can finally stop running from enemies and stay and fight thos we still have some serious weak points. We cant disengage still, LF-Gen in 1v1 is terribad and we have slowest cast time ingame…

Any somewhat ok Chrono can kill a Reaper on his own, it counters Reaper perfectly… I really dont know what OP is even doing. You are a not good at Mesmer and your team is most likely very weak or this is troll thread.

In 1v1 you take almost no more damage due to range differences, so Reaper’s Shroud is still more sustainable due to AA based LF regeneration, instead of just a single skill to delay degeneration a bit.

yea Druid dosent have to be Healing based, but going by experience of the 11 MMO’s I played over last decade Druid more often then not = some kind of healing, thats what I ment.

Hybrid could be good yes, would like to test Sinister some more but pure Sinister feels abit squishy on what now basicly become a Melee class

yea Power Necs are a rare breed and the Condi Meta is even more boring then the first years Zerk Meta. Very few good traits that caters to pure Power builds with some exceptions like “Close to Death”…

would really like to see the Power Reaper upto par with Condi Necro builds (and I dont talk about mass Zerg fights)

just the name Druid suggest healing so u could see that comming a mile away. Reaper is good atm, abit to squishy in 1v1 situations compared to the tankier Death Shroud mechanic and I still think most Shouts lack something (the Heal YSIM is very lackluster).

But all in all a solid class that really brings Necro something diffrent, and I love the idea of getting really good with my GS swings and land them in sPvP and Solo Roaming. Thats hard atm outside “on point” situations but setting up some good CC help land the GD’s even vs the best players.

going back to base Necro and being more succesful could just be the fact u had 3y of practice on that and will take some time to get that skill with Reaper ofc…

A BUG: sometimes the LF is filled in green despite haveing 0 LF and u have to close game to fix !!! Happened twice sofar.

GS in PvP is working great just dont think of it as 1v1 Weapon, think of it as “on point” weapon. You will land the big skills and u will cleave but in a 1v1 its harder. GS is my goto Weapon already.

Valkyrie Armor, Zerk Weapons and Zerk/Knight Mix Trinkets I crit Siege Razer in WvW for 16,7k Gravedigger and on player an Ele for 14,2k so I dont get why ppl say only 8k with Zerk. Dmg hasnt bin nerfed since BWE2

Nor does target the weak because its a modifier based on your target not yourself not like DP which gives you +50% in shroud. You dont have extra crit. Your target is more likely to take critical hit based on their debuffed state.

The condi meta is actually just the burn-meta. Bleed and Poison aren’t the problem, it is burning doing almost 6 times the damage of bleed that is the problem.

NO it is not just Burn tho its the biggest badest most deadly little Condi out there, but Confusion is worse then it bin for 2y and Poison stacking is also far worse now then ever… for ex you dont see 12 stax of poison on Soul Spiral as an issue ?

Condi Meta is atm to strong as the Zerk meta was in WvW/PvP 1,5y ago just saying a Condi player on ANY class atm wins over the equaled skill player on the same exact class over Power 100% of the time. A misstake has to be made by the Condi player to loose to its counterpart followed by maybe a few more to even make it intresting and it all comes down to 2 facts: Condis does to much dmg for the small skill on applying them and they all ignore Toughness.

Ofc I do agree Condition and dmg over time types should be in a MMO but I gave up on Condi Necro 1y+ ago and it wasnt cause I couldnt play it, its cause it was far less challenging and at the peak of Terrormancer’s Hype if u lost a 1v1 it was 9/10 vs another Terrormancer. Makeing Fear a Daze wich cheezed the Confusion on our Warhorn #4 made it even worse and I finally dropped it. Sry for rambling just seeing Condi of all classes out in roaming and even in PvP makes me sick cause it usually take 2 Power builds to take 1 condi build down.

Currently its in Top in one game-mode and absolute bottom in the two other game-modes so yes it needs buffs. The current Necro is not in a good state overall. I think that for sPvP it will be better and have more option with Reaper, for PvE since it still cant support I see very little in change unless the whole mechanic changes with Raids.

In WvW u can split it up: in big raids or Zergz and Guild fights its AoE dmg made it a top class and Reaper wont change that for the worse. In roaming well u can go Condi or go home… and yet with NO currrent disengage Solo Roaming basicly comes down to : kill them first or respawn.

But just cause the Reaper hype is strong and we seem to get a more vaible class its not a Top class at all and buffs to the current Necro or Core Necro is needed overall to even close in on classes like Warriors,Guards,Mesmer and Eles wich just far outshines Necro in most aspects. You are a fool or new to Necro if u think they dont.

in sPvP I really dont worry at all with Reaper, I see a big improvement for us. in WvW aswell, Solo Roaming in WvW however will be tricky for Reaper vs LB Rangerand will most likely require some range “tools” tho SuperSpeed dosent really bother me when it comes to Repaer as much as Interrupts and Slow….

Necro/Reaper GS is the best “on point” weapon for sPvP by far it even outshines the Staff. When ppl are talking about slow cast-time u have to keep in mind that in 1v1 that can be tough to land some skills if u havent done a pre-CC on the target, but slow cast-time isnt a big issue on point in sPvP due to the fact u have 5 Target Cleave and some1 almost always get hit by that Gravedigger. Add to that that Nightfall on point is one of the best Necro weapon skills we have for defence…

Super Speed is imo is good for you offence vs a Reaper or really any class but do very little for your defence if u wanna stay on that point u still have to Tank the Reaper and even the hardiest DD Ele will have issues with that.

I see Reaper as a really good “on point” class but may be hard to chase down targets with it so Necros just have to let enemies come to them, and going by current “kill the Necro” -Meta that wont be an issue either

@Zenith its fine we get both PvE and pvP views so I agree some skills clearly suits 1 game-mode more then another. Shouts may not be were effective in PvE at all since they are mechanic as Unblockable, AoE CC, AoE Condi Cleanse and AoE Stun maybe YAAW could be semi good in PvE but I guess thats it.

Anet seems to still keep us out of Combo Field and Boon Share Meta so guess PvE Necs are all out of luck… I guess your last hope is for that Raids requires Sustain and maybe Tank a Boss. as I dont do PvE I can only guess.

WvW yes we are the famous “N” in the GWEN Meta so we bin strong there. However in sPvP we bin at the absolute bottom together with Ranger for 3y with only 2 exceptions: Terrormancer at its peak and the current Cele Signet Nec wich is there ONLY to counter the DD Ele Ebola-Meta but even that is beginning to run its course now…

Yea Mesmer is a much better 1v1 Class then necro, however during BWE duelling Mesmers and some Chronomancers aswell I found that due to RS AA giving LF% and its cleaveing actually made it much more pro-longed fighting just Mesmers then say other classes. I often could use this to my advantage and felt it was much better then say current Life Transfer.

You play the Reaper as it were still a range class caster, you are WAY to defensive, even when u see the “real” Mesmer u stand off with Staff and on Reaper thats a bad gameplay imho. Some Wells u never even leave either wich makes me ponder quite alot, fine Calmity and Gravity is the hard hitters and granted you most likely havent spotted wich is wich yet but why stand so long in Wells ? You wont see any1 stand longer then wanted in a WoS.

The Mesmer is also imo all to Defensive but i dont know he was speced for any Shatter at all or just tried to 1v1 Necro as Well-o-Mesmer wich makes me also wonder whats up ?

yea have same feeling, current necro just aint the same when u tasted Reaper… but still have Guild Raids in WvW so I do login for those.

nope I use both of these with Valkyrie Gear with little Precision and all, these Traits is very good for me, I dont really touch PvE and for PvP and WvW these 2 Traits are vital.

As I said there is no point in taking both of them in PvE seeing how if you are playing in a party makes lots of boons go to waste. I have no idea how effective they might be in PvP or WvW, still if you are by yourself and have both of this traits makes things like Target the Weak compeltely useless.

All Iam saying the Combonation of them in PvP, WvW is really kitten good because it lets u have a very high Crit% Specially in Shroud even without Precision in your Gear. And since Reaper is Melee based u kinda want to replace a Stat from Zerker with something like Vitality or Toughness to make up for the Fact that you Light Armor Necro now plays in Melee…

This is were these 2 traits come in so answer from a PvP,WvW perspective is keep them in cause they make more Sustain Builds viable without the a huge loss in dmg (form Crits) and iam mainly talking Power Build here were imho Crit% is more Vital not just there to trigger Procs so Target the Weak is not rellavent for that.
