Rev Hammer #2 has a 2sec more or less Spammable 8-10k Crits from Range that made GvG’s and and any large scale encounters the saying “most Revs wins”.

Rev is basicly my Main now but if u dont think that Hammer AA and the 2sec CD on Hammer#2 needs a nerf you havent seen its effect in WvW or the same for Condi Mallyx in sPvP…

We can only hope the nerf wont be destroying the Rev but it will hit us pretty hard and I think it must aswell. Hammer is completely game-breaking in large scale fights atm and look at yesterdays PvP League how the Teams with most Condi/Mallyx Revs dominated the other teams. Iam not really suprised after 12y+ of MMO’s cause everytime a new class gets introduced this happens and then the nerf hits the class, what worries me abit is can they balance it correctly and not over do it ?

The only way Il go back to DS is if they removed every aspect of RS… I like all the skills more in RS on both Condi and Power (yes even nr#3)

The Rabbit needs to have a chat with a Thief and learn about Evade, Gravedigger wont be an issue anymore

The problem with Mallyx is the same as with Hammer for Revenant, its so unbalanced its game-breaking atm. It always happens in MMO’s when they introduce a new Class: The Class has a high risk of being OP to the xtreme and with Hammer AA and #2 (specially its CD ofc) and also the Condi Version of Mallyx where u can dish out insane amount of dmg and be totally immune to “that” same dmg we will see a a crushing Nerf in the Future.

I love the Rev and more or less made it my new Main but the fact is Rev is most likely gonna be hit the hardest when the “first” real balance patch arrives and you/me should be prepared for it. To play Rev atm and say mentioned things arent un-balanced is to live in the clouds. I just hope Anet are responsible when they patch and dont destroy the Revs options for Builds cause despite how strong Power Hammer is and Condi Mallyx as weak is say Dwarf Stance or Ventari…

Yes it is viable as Solo Roamer and works really well vs Melee Classes tho it suffers vs Ranged. Specially hard has the Power Reaper vs Ranger/Druid and Revenant useing Hammer due to the fact closeing the gap vs a skilled player isnt easy on the Necro and even harder on a Reaper with no range dps i Shroud.

Its however much easier to raom on Condi or Hybrid such as Sinisterand my latest try Viper… You get so much more out of your Chills if specced for that and Revenant for ex. is very weak to Condi if specced like 99% of them are.

Power Reaper for Solo Roam is tough to learn and even harder to master and Iam nowhere near that yet after multiple hours daily but duelling great players helps. Instead of takeing Spite you can use the very good Traits in Curses specially Chilling Darkness and Path of Corruption I love those with Reaper Shroud #2 much more so then I ever did on DS-Necro.

Condi dmg is broken compared to Power have bin so ever since the August Patch that “would get Condi to level” main issues are dmg Condis that stack now wich didnt before, the utter disregard for what target u actually hitting and its gear…

A direct dmg dealer needs to be much more on there toes to win, Condi dmg just dosent require as much skill (didnt say no skill) as Direct dmg and its an easy way out, tho the more ppl you have grp with you the less effective Condi dmg becomes.

1. No good disengage (still a factor, better on Reaper tho)
2. Mobility (together with Guardian still in the bottom, also abit better with Reaper)
3. No dmg reduction skills outside Shroud (before Poison Cloud & RS#2 we had nothing)

MM Builds tho tanky isnt working at high end sPvP, the only one we saw was the Chiese Team last time around and well… yea.

Signet-Cele still seems to be Meat but I think its mainly cause the few Necros/Reapers in T-PvP havent added anything useful in Meta after HoT. I see some streamers aso trying other stuff then Signets and going some Ramp,Viper or Marauder stuff. We will see

Condition Damage and to make it as easy-cheezy as possible slap on a pair of Plex

I wasnt upgradeing much in Borders but I roamed there several hours daily, mostly Solo to look for kills and I took thousands of Camp. I like the “spotted” feature of Sentry’s now and heres the sad part: Thats about ALL I like with the new WvW…

I agree with #op and sadly Iv also now after 7k+ hours starting to find other things to do instead of login on… sometimes it goes so far I ONLY login to get my daily reward, now that is sad.

Yet Fractals complain got insta-Fix, Lving story comming to the Lore hungry, raids for pve and leaderboards and new tourneys for sPvP…

for WvW ? “yea we seen a decline in the new borders and we are looking into the issue” …really anet ?

Things that would make GS “even” better (I actually have this a my Fav weapon for PvP/WvW… wierd like that)

1. AA just decrease cast-time with 3/4s on each (this is needed badly)
2. Do a 2 Condi Transfer on GS#3
3. Change Nightfall to Blind and Slow instead of bind and cripple

I main Reaper cause I can take down a Warrior,DD Ele and a Condi Necro… something that I never really could on my old Power Necro (talking about good skilled versions ofc)

If its intentional it should be changed, because we can’t make use of lingering curses condition damage boost in Reaper shroud like we do in Death Shroud.
And if the lingering curse thing is a bug, so just fix that but the trait will lose 1 more usage and there are not many so far.

Yea I agree and tho I dont want to see more Condition Dmg I cant think this is a balance issue, its like Anet simply forget about things wich effect alot of vital traits imho…

so you are running 2 Signets but not useing Signet of Suffering ? hmm not sure about that U-skill settings tbh

on Point in Team situation, Reaper is really strong… in 1v1 then it depends ALOT on your build and skill but Id say several classes is better there.

Reaper worst in sPvP ? NO far from it if player right with any sense

Nice Vid !! I also enjoy the Reaper in scrims like this and 2 things the old Necro lacked that the Reape has is tons of Cleave and Stability. I would and are useing tho “Nothing can save You” instead of WoC cause ly to strip more Boons with that and hence put more pressure on the enemies, but hey thats just my opinion

yea its so lazy by the Devs imho… these are small, no tiny changes that should have bin done with Expansion. It feel like a slap in the face. Do I really feel like i miss out on the achievements ? NO but it just shows how little effort WvW gets by Anet

Here you can truly see the months or even year of effort put into this Expansion and how much Focus you put into WvW.

Really dont wanna complain to much cause I like the Expansion in everything u done just that you completely ignored WvW after you gave us new Maps with PvE Elements we clearly said we didnt want… but when u havent even sorted “old” Daily WvW things like this it kinda speaks volume Anet.

requires a fair amount of PvP-Bottles and u need to lvl up other stuff in the order before u get Arena: Tavern, Mine,Workshop (Storage for Mine ore) aso then u can go for Arena but yea its prizey and a multi-player job.

I like the Vid but what happens when u come across a Condi heavy specced class ? you have Putrid Mark and tiny cleanse from Suffer but u have no Signet or CC-Heal or any Condi-Cleanse/transfer trait…

Just curious how it compares to say Valkyrie or Zerk ? I really dont like the Zerk in WvW anymore due to the fact that we get hit ALOT more as Melee class but also dont like the total absence of precision in Valkyrie so I tought I ask anyone here ?

Also what is the stat for say Ascended armor Marauder in WvW/PvE gear ? couldnt find it on Wiki

Blighter’s Boon isnt the “team-friendly” GM trait it was and u cant rely on it as Solo Trait: it needs help from other traits quite bad nowdays from both Spite & Reaper.

Is it GM-Trait worthy (yes i know u specc full line now)? NO it isnt

Wait for the Nerf of “Coalescence of Ruin” to come into play, before Anet does anything to the most gamebreaking Weapen-skill ever introduced to this game you can forget about beating a Revenant.

Nothing can save u is a very good skill vs Guards of any Variation

YSIM out heals CC, as long as you have condi removal, traited YSIM is literally the strongest heal we have before you count the LF.

What are you running, exactly? Right now I’m running full knight + wurm runes and using spite/soul reaping/reaper. Thus far soul reaping is keeping my lifeforce generation/loss relatively stable along with the toughness, and traiting shouts allows me to use “Your Soul is Mine” enough that it does its job. Granted, I don’t sPvP, so I’m not sure what the reaper situation there is like. (Just trying to help you for the time being, btw.)

Yea I play PvP and WvW only and not to be rude YSIM dosent really work in situation when fight players instead of scripted mobs. The fact in general players burn your LF bar down alot more then PvE mobs do. That heal just cant compensate for CC special when Condis are so strong atm. And LF gain from GS AA is worthless that never lands on a player, LF from Grasping Darkness is weak aswell so only real option is GS3 and its good but tricky. Either make GS AA viable or increase LF-Gen on Grasping Death

Nightfall does dmg and is better in every way, I consider it the best GS skill currentyl. WoD CD is what keeps it out of my rotation together with tthe fact that Chilling Darkness is in the “wrong” traitline to make it vaible.

I’m actually really curious why those who don’t like the class, and haven’t liked it for a long time, are still playing it? What is the draw?

As for Reaper, feels a little early to tell. I’d definitely like to see changes to axe, scepter, staff, and damage mods / active survival, but I don’t think anyone’s had enough time with the spec and matchups to determine it better or worse.

That is a GREAT question, see i really like this class, if i didnt i wouldnt bother with this topic at all. I like this class for two reasons; one i started with this class, learned the game on the class, got Dragon on this class, Alot of PvE on it too. So when i think about my time in gw2 its Necromancer that comes to mind.

The second reason is the class has a lot of depth to it, not sure how to explain it but using the class has a certain weight to it (and i dont mean its slowness which doesnt pay off at all)

Where it all goes wrong is that if there is something you need to overcome, you have nothing to do it with. With other classes, their defense actually negates everything. Revenant is the best example, without Mallyx its weak to condis but that doesnt matter because you can kite, block, evade so you can very quickly defend against that weakness. Necromancer is a different story, you have to first tank your weakness, really, its called a weakness for a reason if it could be tanked then it wouldnt be a weakness to begin with.

I promise you, there is no Reaper alive that I or any experienced player can’t completely shutdown on a class like Thief or Revenant, Look at Holts fight with the Daredevil, Holts is a great player, but notice how much he struggles just to hit, the only thing that helped him was that the thieves made mistakes. Revenant is 10x worse, it can do 10k without you hitting at all.

There isnt enough LF-Gen as a Reaper to compensate for this loss. Looking at some of the GM-Traits for the Elite Spez in other classes and compareing Reaper clearly is lack-luster now. And we lost one of the few things that actually made us benefit from even being in a group….

2-3 patches today and still nothing from FailNet, WvW dying infront of them but I think its what they want to psuh there sPvP into ppls hand yet they just push WvW-players over to CU-Aplha

Well basicly they made Reapers Onslaught the only GM trait, and I dont even like it for pvp/wvw…so waited along time for a fin viable Power build and it took 5 DAYS, lmao at FailNet

Cant sustain decent LF-Gen atm proberly hold a few days/week and try out my Revenant instead. Wasnt suprised tho tbh, already heard the crying of the Warriors

Tbh alot of those Necros here that ppl considered good are falling into that cathergory aswell.

GS is very high reward and when roaming or getting into a 1v1 its not easy to land. Tho as I said reward when u do is what wins fights as Reaper. Cast times is abit to high still, not saying short them alot but yea cut them alitte imho cause its hard to even land 1 GD vs a good player without pre-casting it…

Fought a top-EU tourney thief last night in 1v1 and I landed only 2 Hits (yes 2 hits entire fight) and that killed him. An Executioner Scythe for 8,5k and a GD for 15k so yea the reward is clearly high on GS but its our trickiest Weapon to use in PvP by far…

I guess this PvE stuff really isnt my thing, tho I liked Nemesis Vidz and seems his math is the correct one cause any PvP player would also say there is no such thing as 100% dps uptime. Btw for all you Eliteist pvE-player out there on this forum try kill agood WvW or PvP player… now thats a challenge…

1. Oasis Event lags out the entire Map no matter how many players are there doing it, the lag goes crazy. It is seriously broken atm.

2. Lootbags for All: we can still after 5 days see EVERYONES Lootbags on the ground

3. Several Veteran Supervisors in Camps are randomly standing in wierd Locations, NOT in the Camp and they arent resetting.

Would be nice if the daily Fixes could adress some issues WvW is suffering… but i guess u come to us last as..

Oasis Event dosent belong, fix the HUGE LAG when it starts or remove it instantly. This should have bin tested. Its NOT even lag due to numbers, the event actually lags entire Map even if 5-10ppl are there.

and to add the “can see every lootbag for everyone in WvW” is insane
