- Necro is a balanced state we feel tho some minor tooltip fixes has bin made, also we removed Signet of Vampirism cause it confused players and even worse it confused us.

There is a pretty good chance Epidemic will see a nerf: but mainly for WvW. It is by far the most hated skill in that game-mode atm and I can see it… just hope we get something else instead then.

a good way to counter Thief interupts is Poison Cloud, the more patient will be fooled once or twice only tho, useing GS is a secondary weapon-set imo and waiting for the oppprtunity to strike: ex after a well placed stun or immob

nah some can make it work, there are kittenty players who play Meta should we report them aswell ? there is ranks now so if a Power GS Reaper can mantain his rank np imho.

basicly left the game by now only login in maybe once /week but Necro is the one class they couldnt not transfer from gw2 to gw2 and Necro never really had a set position in this game. I recall it was strong before the game launched when Shroud scaled x- but Shroud is function still looking for a good balance after 4y.

Necro just isnt a good class, never will be… its fun if ppl leave u be but most just do the opposite and then this class becomes a liability instead

Ok when ? They gave us an Map after 3y that no one really likes, then they saw it wasnt well receieved and changed it yet the most annoying elements still remains.

There is no reward or love like the 2 other game-modes includeing the newly revamped PvP.

WvW is still only game-mode without a Legendary backpiece, yet it was promised a year ago…

OP is right Necro/Reaper is in its worst state over past 4y now, and now with babysitting from Engi gone I really dont see it in ESL any longer either (maybe from Nos)

Power is bad due to really poor weapons
Condi is actually worst of all classes to apply condis (said apply only tho, not transfer aso.)

For my Power Build I never run Staff so I prefer Axe as mid/long range option. The dmg buff is nice, the Boon-Convert is great to have 4 Boon Converts and 8k+ dmg on Axe#3 and instant follow up with Shroud enter is really strong dmg. In that burst u also can slot Hydro for 2k+ and proc Chilling Nova for another 2-3k…

Its a fast burst that takes alot of ppl by suprise.

GS aftercast barely notice them, big increase on Axe dmg I like alot cause started to use it again. Nothing whtsoever to our sustain done and Anet “Necro is in a good state comment”- killed me… still laughing

basicly the Minion power from gw1, get that to gw2 plz

pulses Blind for 5s on a kitten Cooldown when Nightfall on Greatsword pulses Blind & Cripple + does tons of dmg on a 25s Cooldown.. try and find a more useless skill, I dare you !!!

I think biggest issue is advice on what to do with necro from ppl never ever playing the Class, but more from players once in a blue moon actually died to one…

Iam waiting to come back to this game if Power Necro and more specific GS gets buffed, atm that class is dead…

I love Necro cause I love to strip naked and run thro thorny bushes, bang my head against a brick wall, wake up screaming and going thro gameing mouses like there is no tomorrow.

Its what kept me in this game for 4y to put it simple, some say Mesmers has highest skill-cap.. well try play a class that always has everyones attention and noway to change that.

I gave up on Anet reasoning when they removed Chill-dmg and halfed all chill duration yet buffed Confusion by giving it a tick-dmg… enough said

That its just not true, looking at your build Warrior,Good Revs, Mediocres Druids and ANY Condi mesmers will wreck this build in 1v1

no Necro/Reaper has any sustain dosent matter if u go Condi or Power, we never had n we will never have..

ppl saying Necro has sustain and Anet talking about the class as that are usually referring to Shroud as 2nd life-bar but Anet knows and most Necros aswell that in reality that counts for very little in terms of sustain.

sustain is strong healing & mainly hard Invuns somethin the Necro/Reaper dosent have. Plz adress the class as a sustain class when its absolutely not, its a dmg-dealing class wich functions best in the hands of an aggressive player. When focused it will drop faster then most other classes due to no hard Invuns and no apperent getaway skills and no movement to speak of.

Its Reaper Shroud #3 u ment. And if u wanna add to the stability duration just take “Foot in Grave” and even further u do as I and also run Speed of Shadows and u have 3sec Stab every 7sec (thats without Boon Food).

You have plenty of Stability as Reaper, they had some insane Nerfs since HoT yes and many uncalled for but Stability is still there. For the Speed yea Necro/Reaper is slowest out there but then u ahve to sacrifice something to get speed, go Spectral, Trav runes aso… your choice

btw: Core Necro is far worse then Reaper at roaming, havent lost to a fellow Core Necro since HoT

You go Condi in sPvP period
You go Condi in PvE well who cares…

Condi is the easy lazy choice , Anet made it so.

If u want to challenge yourself go Power in Small scale Roaming/and Solo and try it in sPvP aswell (but there be prepared for comment about your Power kittene build, why dont u run Condi ? aso)

I large scale EB fights when u spread Wells on stupid ,clueless Victims sure Power is much more effective… thats how it is basicly.

During the time I was gone they Nerfed Chill duration and took away its condi dmg and at the same time they gave Confusion a dmg-tick… makes sense Anet.

Maybe thats why basicly there is a Condi Mes in every match and a Condi Mes around every corner in WvW. Not gonna tell u howto do u job but a clear cut indication of the number of Condi Mesmer vs Chill Necs would give u a clue…

What makes a Mesmer special is insanely strong and at same time what u said what makes a Reaper special has bin nerfed both in dmg & duration.

Shroud is our offensive & defensive power, its our so called Invun the issue tho is same as its bin since the pre-beta change its lack in scaleing vs multiple foes, something Endure Pain or Signet of Stone just dont have.

This goes on into shouts works best vs multiple enemies, yet the shroud dosent… Anet said a Necro shines when faceing more enemies yet it took 3y before we got any cleave ? lost my faith in them longtime ago

Reaper + Spite + Str Runes + Blighters Boon is a match made in heaven and sure other things work aswell for a Power Reaper build but in the end none has the Sync as that.

I love when u start a Ghastly Claws to finish off a low Rev and he pops his Heal mid-channel & outcome is health fully restored. A Condi Nec should twist any rev inside out, for Power thats just not the case.

@Velon just keep in mind the nerf to Rise that has happened since that Vid.

tried Nos Poison Build (not sure its his but the one hes useing) and it works pretty good. Tries sometimes to swap Wurm for CB but sticking to Thorn runes and Wanderers.

I hate condi but in sPvP feels like only option

Corrosive poison cloud – destroys projectiles, poisons, weakens and is ublockable. He won’t be a happy camper when you cast it on him, or yourself if you want maximum security vs his longbow power shots.

this + Boons trip and DH shouldnt be a real issue.

Warriors however if u see them dont bother

DM is meh also I dont see really enough LF% gain-skills or trait to sustain Reapers Onslaught in your build. No Spectral skill, not the YsIM no staff. Maybe u can make it work tho think Spite is better, DM still imho only used for MM builds-

Yea well it needs change much more the above suggestions, cause atm we have an entire 5-skill weapon that is useless.

ppl saying GS is a PvE weapon are missing the fcng point, this is both a PvE and a PvP game.

I think GS needs adressing much more then Axe or Focus. atleast u can hit a player with Axe and Focus where the only thing u hit a players thats somewhat AWAKE on GS is Nightfall. That its good for PvE dosent concern me at all, this game is for PvE and PvP and we was given a weapon that cant hit a player thats chained to a post… really do something to that first.

know the feeling, came back after 5months and more less gave up after 2 days.

yea left game 4 months ago and today I checked for Balance Patch: all I can say Iam happy I left the game.

I play Necro and almost only Necro from start and I can say it like this:

Power Necro became stronger as Reaper (HoT did that) the Elite itself makes power builds better and more viable, specially vs other Melee classes. A Warrior could wreck us pre-HoT just by useing Stances and abuse our lack of Stab, this changed. Its still countered by tons.

Condi necro also got better as Reaper tho the Reaper Shroud imho gave more to Power Necro then Condi (#4 RS exception). Now after Jan 26th tho most if not all buffs where given to Condi Necro/Reaper and virtually none to Power builds with maybe the exception of “Spiteful Spirit” wich most dont use anyway.

Condi Reaper got its Weapon buffed and its traits buffed and even Corrupt Boon is better in the hands of Condi builds (much better in fact) while none of this was given to Power Reaper.

Condi Reaper is atm to strong and I see only 1 counter to it: The Power Daredevil wich wierdly enough a Power Reaper has much easier against.

There you have my view. But plz dont cry about it cause 3,5y as Necro and NEVER have we bin called “Meta- Class” before, a title some classes have ahd for years (those classes tend to cry hardest now)

GS need faster AA but it isnt trash, just to hard for some to learn.
