I didn’t have any problems before today. Now it’s really really bad. My connection is fine. PvE lags a little bit and PvP lags a lot.

Skyhammer is awesome. It requires a lot more than standard boring Foefire style mid point bunkering. It should be added in team arena as well together with Spirit Watch. That would increase the skill level of people in team arena because they would actually have to develop different tactics and builds.
GW1 was way more complicated and competitive. There is no way something like HA could ever work in GW2. But I personally don’t mind. HA was fun, I played it all the time. But I think PvP in GW2 will be just as fun once they add seasons and leagues.
I want to see the ranks of players. Scoreboard should stay as it is (with leaderboard rank added).
Does it need a purpose? It’s an amazing event, that’s all I need to know.
New map, with objectives similar to Temple of the silent storms. I dont think a new game mode would bring anything good to the game. It sounds exciting at all and “everyone” wants it, but I honestly think it would be a fail.
Anyway, for now I personally wouldn’t want either. I’d like seasons, ladder, tournaments, visible rating first and then talk about new maps and game modes.
New map is extremely boring. I think in a short run it will definitely pull many players out of normal WvW maps. But in 2 weeks or even less, when everyone has their achievements the new map will be dead.
Why remove foefire? It promotes amazing bunker play and super skilled solo gank lord builds. It’s a true test of tankyness. I really can’t see any reason why to remove it.
Wurm is fine the way it is. It’s not hard at all. All you have to do is split in 3 groups, play well, synchronise the kill to enter the end phase and then dps until it’s dead.
I guess people have to work on “play well” part. I think that soon it will become farmable like tequatl is.
Also: no, you are not supposed to do it on servers with low population. You have to guest on bigger servers, that’s the way it’s meant to be. That’s why we have guesting option (among other reasons).
Capturing and holding points should always be worth more than killing. If you want to kill stuff just go play call of duty…

I like both Spirit Watch and Skyhammer, so they are obviously not ignoring me, a player. It’s ok to say that you do not like something, but it’s bad and wrong to say “everyone hates this”. It is just not true.
It is really hard to believe this game has any sort of matchmaking. We, most players below rank 1000, were being pitted against the top 20~10 players in the leader board repeatedly. We are talking about Caed team here.
And we weren’t playing during dead time. So what’s really the issue? Is the game mode really lacking players to be paired with or is the system broken? Because we were literally being farmed by the toppest players and it completely turned me off from tpvp.
I’m on top 2 screenies there in a match against you. Those matches happened very long time ago, and it was only couple games, and it definitely wasn’t during prime time. Matchmaking sucks but those isolated cases don’t prove it though. Anyway, once they add proper leagues and seasons and whatnot it will be way better since more people will play.
Question: at this current state of WvW, why would I care about winning it? And what can you do to change so I actually do care about the win?
My solution would be season 2.
I agree that The Troubleshooter would be the most appropriate title for this. I really hope that next time they will test more and with proper number of people and all combinations and all that…

Matchmaking should consider in game rank as well.
1. I don’t think you should limit people like that. Let them express themselves freely and in any creative way they want. However, do suggest them to add tl;dr version.
2. I think few favourite posts should first be chosen by community (voting) and then the others by Anet.
6. A REAL Queue system (This one is a biggy of course but so that people can actually see that there is a queue and where they are in it. People are exhausted spamming join or jumping through portals even before the fight starts)
That should be a priority. It’s just ridiculous that sometimes you have to spend an hour trying to join and then not be able to. At least with proper queue system you could do something else instead of wasting over an hour of your time.
No to instanced raid content. Content for every one please not select few – say no to elitism

I think it’s type of information that Anet could release every 6 months or so as one of those interesting facts. It was awesome when they did that last time. I don’t think it should be in an game thing.
The map was reset, probably due to some bug.
I have a question: If the event is designed for a group that’s the same size as the maximum capacity of the map, why does it need to scale at all?
Because you have to split in 3 groups. If it didn’t scale you could just zerg each wurm super easily.
They should have made the achiev on boss kill rather than individual kills. Huge mistake from Anet.
There should be a proper queue so people don’t have to spam join on party or keep zoning in and out. Also, they should never ever make it instanced. This way it’s open for everyone and it’s fair because those who are willing to invest more time in it (wait longer) will have a better chance of actually doing it. If you guest on BG 5 minutes before the event starts why would you get in???
I’m against the overflow idea that certain guild does. That is just closing it for most of people, as those who are in that guild will get their any time they want and they don’t have to invest any time in waiting, and everyone else just has to be lucky with join spam to fill in those last few spots.
I want it to stay the way it is. I think 1m50s is more than enough. Just have to adjust your builds and actually be useful. As I told someone already, this is easy.
Wurms head in phase 2 needs 3min instead of 2 at the very least, Anet have to understand that Desolation victory is based on luck too, that’s why they have trouble killing the wurms again, we don’t want to kill it only once, but everyday like Tequatl, we definitely need more time for the heads.
Yes and no. I think the 2 minute counter is fine, but the problem is that it is not a full 2 min counter to kill the heads. The counter is actually 1 minute and 53 seconds because the counter starts at the time the heads pop up for phase 2, but are invulnerable for 7 seconds after.
Just imagine timer is 1:50s and adapt…
There’s a problem with UI. I’ve watched videos from Cobalt and Crishmond kill on Deso. When I was on Cobalt we’ve seen about 15% more on Crishmond and then out of nowhere 0%, but in reality it was dropping steady. That is not true. Scaling is bugged and wurm health keeps changing extremely fast. It can go up from X (lowest) to Y (highest) within a second, and change back. It’s just random really. (numbers are hidden for obvious reasons but Anet is aware of them)
You can’t force people to play how you want them to play, it’s psychology and not difficulty, you don’t have the precious kick button like when you’re running dungeons, in the open world you can’t do that, that’s why this kind of content should be instanced, because the guys in my server won’t listen to me since it’s full of farmers that spam 1, i don’t even lie, Jade Sea isn’t as good as it was before (they still fail Tequatl most of the time), yet even if i go to another server i will have the same problem, that’s why we need this to be instanced with the option to start the event when we want so we can play with the people who listen to us, and eventually train the newbies who want to learn without any problem.
That is how it’s meant to be. You are not supposed to kick people. You are supposed to unite the community and get everyone to work together. Everyone is equal, all have access to the same area. That is part of the challenge. Well, except if you are an elitist guild and you create an overflow instance just for yourself.

Health of the wurm changes while you are attacking it, its very random and unreliable. Number of players doesn’t seem to matter.
Also wurm head takes more damage against the wall because it’s way easier to DPS it then…
This is actually what i think to be very stupid, you have to do this crap perfectly with 150 people who have the best stuff in the game, who know what to do, who knows what combo fields and finishers are, who listen, who don’t spam 1 etc… Pretty much impossible with PUG’s, i’m sorry but this is just insulting and selfish for new players, because most of the players from high populated servers will camp forever on the map.
Aren’t there many many other world bosses that anyone can do? This is made for organised teams.

Most of top achievers got most of their points from abusing many things, mostly activities on reset and getting easy hundreds of points that make a lot of difference. There are also many different exploits to do weapon mastery which many of them did.
Even if you fix and adjust dailies, you can never make it fair, some people will always get the achievs that normally take many many hours in 20x less time, which many did already.

Heard about the bug you ran into with the head phase, we at TTS also ran into the non-despawning crimson wrum.
Honest if there wasn’t any RNG scaling bugs or at work all the servers that have been close would have got a kill by now. It honestly feels at this point that the first server will be the luckiest not the most skilled. It’s been a ton of fun when it works but these bugs ruin the experience.
Also agree about the timer… I really wish it were every 1 hour till the next patch to give us more time.
I don’t agree with this. I think scaling bugs often make the event way easier (those super DPS phases where you take 95% in one burn). Also, every 1 hour would just be insane in my opinion, there are many people who are doing this for many consecutive hours and I am sure they prefer to have those longer breaks that we have now, to recover.
You do not need to succeed the whole event to get wurmslayer title.
Last phase is very easy if you know what to do. You can do it in 1min30 easily. Just think!
Marionette is the best fight in the whole game so far. It’s combination of group and individual skill, both are needed for success. Rewards are good, it doesn’t take too long. And most importantly, it promotes very positive atmosphere.
Tequatl is ok because you don’t need to be too organised and servers can do it with the right numbers, don’t need specific guilds.
Wurm.. I don’t know, it depends on what the “puzzle” is. It might be really easy once peple learn it but it also might be impossibly hard and only the infamous TTS will be able to do it. Designing the content in that way is wrong. Normal servers should be able to do it without the need for special overflow. As long as they have enough people of course, just like tequatl.

Elementalist is pretty much random button smash and thieves are not really glassy at all anymore, just like they’re not really cannons (bursty). I agree with the others.
This is probably my favourite thing in the game. Is it coming back this year or are Anet guys focused on these other “big” updates?

How do you all feel about hambow warriors being buff with the new update? Both hammer and longbow will have extra sigil slot. The only nerf is on healing sig but it’s so small that it won’t be noticed.
On that note, can someone link me the best hambow build? I want to farm arenas with it.

My guess is you don’t play any of these builds. Ranger elite spirit with it’s huge cooldown and with it being so easy to kill and even easier to interrupt the rezz that never goes off against good teams definitely shouldn’t be nerfed. Shortbow damage is just ridiculous.
RTL is perfect the way it is. Thief should have couple skills nerfed as well as couple skills buffed. Warrior healing signet should be completely reworked, also they should deal way less damage unless they spec berserker. Warrior longbow is fine the way it is.
Engineer nade spam lowers down FPS too much, performance should be improved somehow.
Also, ranger does have active condition removal. There is signet that does exactly that. Also there is bear pet.
Necro with minions or death shroud is already very defensive with pretty decent offence, it should stay the way it is.
Zerg it’s foot of course.
I agree with this. It will probably be quite powerful world boss, so something like dragons. And people of Tyria know that their only weakness are their feet so it only makes sense that this marionette has the same weakness. Zerging her foot is the best and probably the only solution.
If it’s really only a 10% nerf then there should be no problem at all.

This is a terrible idea. There are many, many other ways to help the new players. Just add an NPC that will play a cinematic and explain everything about PvP. And it’s not even that complicated really, there are only 3 vendors and new players can play around check all the stats, have some fun gearing up and choosing their preferable combination, it’s not a bad thing really, they like it. Seriously, don’t bring unlocks!!!

Thats the root cause of your issue, just as I thought.
You can try pulling the card out and dusting the Slot and the Pins on the card, then reseating it.
You can try setting your power profile to High
You can uninstall the GPU drivers, boot into safe mode and run a driver cleaner program, then reinstall the drivers in normal mode
You can go into the BIOS settings and disable the PCI-E power saving feature for whatever PCI-E Slot your GPU is in.My power profile has already been on High.
