And by the way, other professions can also pull you from walls. If you don’t want to be pulled, then don’t go to the edge. Cause with itV you can only pull people from walls if they’re in the edges.
one thing is pull players Standing on Walls and another is pulling players Behind the walls sometimes even from up to 100-200 range away from the wall.
it has a perfectly fine 20 cooldowns if you land the skill on someone as for 40s you’re obviously ignoring Ele’s super condition and boon management if you cant fight without a super runaway button then you need to learn how to use your class.

well apparently no one plays engineer or likes turrets GG.
give turrets 30% damage reduct and replace the trait for deployable turret
lower rocket turret and Rocket tool belt cooldowns to 40
lower thumper turret’s cooldown to 30
add rifle turret to supply crate and remove the trait thats adds it to supply crate
bam everything works on a single traitline now and is somewhat viable.
I always die by retalation… because i use thief shotbow, retalation x3 every shot i recieve 900/1k dmg per sec and my signet of malice heal me…. 120 (120 × 3 = 360 heal per sec)
Thieves need more heal from this skill in WvW

I hate to say it, but … a lot of the complaining is due to a “learn to play” issue. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t play a Thief. That’s not to say that stealth is a perfect mechanic, because it’s not. Thieves rely on stealth waaaay too much, in my opinion.
im lvl 2 on my thief and i ve beaten many players of all classes except guardians and mesmers and thieves in wvw lol sword/pistol teleport/blind spam ftw lol
or another simple fix put a Trait reset NPC on every single tower and keep
dual speccing would be a massive change in wvw it would enable me to have my Roaming build and quickly swap to my tower attacking/defending build or a support build etc ect. +10
Constantly swapping means constantly money spending. About 2-3 silver. I’m sure it’s still worth it. And it will prove a money sink as well.
well then implement being able to have multiple builds saved with double their cost for swapping it’ll still be a money sink and im 90% sure players will use that rather than the current run backto the middle of nowhere to spec to run all the way back to a battle that probably ended.
yesterday was doing like 330 damage per retalation and now is like 221, was ninja nerfed?
as explained before Might Increases Power and Power Increases Retaliation damage
Also keep an eye on your gear if something broke then your damage would ve dropped considerably as well.
It’s kinda buggy for me too. It sucks having a retal guardian. Maybe it’s affected by might?
yup might increases both Power and Condition damage so it dramatically increases the damage
I don’t think Anet is against farming, not anymore.
I used to think that Anet is against farming, but then here comes the Secret of Southsun Cove, which anet gives you a 24 hours 200% MF boost, and several repeatable and profitable events. It almost feel like Anet want you to farm, happily.
and I have been enjoy my 200% MF boost so far…and those T6 scales and bloods from sharks and skelks.
so maybe, they are just against people intentionally letting Lyssa remain contested so these people can farm all day.

as for lyssa the farmers had All the aggro on then if anyone wanted to do the event he/she simply had to walk behind the wall and knock it down safely.
its good if you know when to use it great for dungeons i simply sweep mobs with tornado and keep em in a wall with #2 skill blinding them or #3 if i really need to keep them pinned
i use the brute to control heavy DPS mobs when team has to wipe lots of adds or simply take the aggro and run
sometimes i just use the elixir when i have cooldowns going so i can endure damage much easily while buying time.
personally i dont find HGH all that awesome if anything i’d suggest replace elixir U or elixir S for Tool Kit

what about Elite supplies’s other effects
Mortar range increase wasn’t implemented as it is one of Rifled Turret Barrels’s effects
3 and 5s duration increase on elixir X transformations should be added with Potent Elixirs trait thus there wouldnt be any real loss.
maybe make Auto Tool Instalation’s Effect proc every 5s instead of 10 of course the healing will be cut by half so it heals the same over time
what does this accomplish well just makes turrets heal more reliably .
Mortar- range should become 1800 or close when traited since it is an incredibly high risk Player Controlled Turret
as it stands theres no real reason to use Mortar when grenades out do both their damage and range also theres siege in wvw wich pushes this Elite skill further away from players’s consideration.
ah yes totally forgot turret cooldowns are ridiculously high
not just the turrets the Toolbelt skills as well
thumper and rocket turret drop em to 30 and 40s cooldown
Rocket turret’s toolbelt skill drop it to 30s as it stands 60 seconds is exagerated the toolbelt skill does not burn or knockdown or cripple or bleed or anything and its damage is around the medium ranks , also it is not working as intended the rocket does not harm anything in the said 240 radius it only affects the target.

if players wanted a challenge at lower level zones they would simply remove their Elite skill and their armor .
so i deleted my asuras for the simple fact legendaries and weapons look like toys on them
but in the case of Charr we got hovering back items this include:
Weapons
Backpacks
Shouder armor
Armor Hat-whatever goes around their neck clips through it
some of the armor Clips through their body too in my case my belt goes through my right shoulder.
well seems my charr shape is flat out too skinny since other shapes work fine

Looking at your GW2Buildcraft setup I can see why.
Don’t wear Rampager gear with the Flamethrower. The damage scaling to boost Flame Jet and Flame Blast with Critical Damage is way more significant than what you will gain gearing for Condition Damage to bolster your Burning and Bleeding damage. Go with Berserker instead.
And why are you running Sigil of Purity? If you have 30 points in Alchemy, go with Cleansing Formula 409 with your Healing Turret. That should be more than enough. Slot Sigil of Force or Bloodlust into your weapons, and make sure those are Berserker stat too. And the damage gain running Sigil of Accuracy versus additional Might stacking is a joke.
Most importantly, what’s with the rune setup? Emerald Orbs? Why?
Stick with that setup if you think it works for you, but there are much better ways to build and gear around the Flamethrower that will have your Flame Jet consistently climb over 4K and your Flame Blast do close to 10K damage every 5 seconds or so.
thats the double edge with FT you have to go full direct damage with it but without condition damage you are ridiculously easy to counter
with rifle i was dealing pretty much 10k damage myself around every 5 seconds myself 7-10ks with #5 and 7k with #3 best part 1200 range oh and no missmissmissmissmiss
I like how you took a post talking about the Flamethrower in PvE and then started ranting about how it works in sPvP.
well still its a matter of preferences i still consider rifle with static discharge dealing higher dps my said damage was from WvW wich has the same stats i used for my daily PVE theres no change other than npc mobs being dumb.
for lvl 40 and under players FT is a decent choice tho

and im just saying a rifle engi specially with static discharge will obliterate a glass cannon FT user before he even gets in range to spray fire sure Ft has knockback but so does rifle and unlike rifle Ft doesnt have an immobilize .
FT is just a conditional weapon
but heres why condi damage most FT users i saw used tool kit to pull/ confuse before trying to immobilize and attack
what happened instead was me blocking and pry baring them instead for higher damage and then pretty much almost instantly killing them.
and theres the down fall of FT Retaliation thats an instant 3-4k damage you take per full burst up to 9-12k if hit 3 targets

It is absolutely ridiculous how people will undercut by sometimes over half the current amount. For example I am flipping some armor that was worth 1 silver to sell. I come back an hour later and the order of sales go from 1 silver then immediately to 47 copper, then people keep undercutting by 2 or 3 copper, all the way until now it is nearly 30 copper (Only 1/3 the original price and this only hurts the people selling it for so low, I mean sure it is annoying for me but I can just hold on to the armor and sell when it comes back up)
I just can not fathom why anybody needs to undercut by so much. If you would just undercut by a copper or two, your items would still sell faster than the items above you. And yes, this item was selling for 1 silver before and people were buying reliably.
Moral of the story and to educate you people out there the undercut by far too much, DO NOT UNDERCUT BY MORE THAN 1 COPPER, that is just a rule of thumb, even with higher value items. All you are trying to do is make your item appear first on the sale list.

this is precisely why i undercut by a whole silver or 5 in expensive items 10 at most because i try sell 5-10 items and some funny guy(s) keeps trying to sell 170+ items and keeps undercutting by 1c

What makes you think posting the odds will significantly affect GW2 consumer behavior? Do you think the typical GW2 consumer will even bother to lookup the posted odds before a purchase? How about after?
I would contend any consumer that has an understanding of the way things currently work isn’t going to be swayed differently upon seeing the actual odds. Likewise, I’d bet it’s a scant few that don’t understand the mechanic would bother to either bother to lookup the odds, or care.
Here’s a little experiment in human behavior, next time you’re at your locale convenience store, watch to see how people buy lottery tickets. How many, if any of them ever ask to see the ticket before purchasing to check the stated odds? How about after they’ve scratched it off?
heres another experiment with lotery put side by side a 6 scratch square boxes s lotery ticket and a 18 box ticket
both working by the simple mechanic of align all of the same icon in a row to win (if row is interrupted by an icon rows after it dont count).
All=grandprize
Half= small prize
2=consolation prize 1$ or nothing 3 in the case of 18 slot
and see wich ticket people will go for
people will avoid the bigger ticket as it has same reward but bigger risk
and thats how odds would affect the market.

well so far i aint died to any of the FT engies i met in wvw so yeh tough luck
theres only one legendary fitting for asura and thats the Quip the confetti silly noise pistol . i literally deleted all my characters and simply made em charr because of small weapons. (had 4 lvl 80s)

with retaliation Flamethrower kills you in seconds its stupid…
Only ppl with berserker gear that doesnt monitor their health. With FT your mostly at melee range so gear up that in mind and once you take too much retaliation dmg stop spamming #1, change target’s,heal up and repeat.
I used Knights gear thanks and it still kills me in seconds..i’m like 2/3 dead by the time i ditch FT kit
toughness doesnt affect the retaliation damage you take so yeh you’re dead if you use FT or nades against a high strength retal player.
i just hate we lose our awesome order companions and get them replaced for trahearme without having even an optional quest to rescue them.
Give Engineers a Tracking Turret that exposes Stealth.
Actually the engineer turrets e.g. the net turret seem to track stealthed opponents. Still turrets are pretty much useless in WvWvW setting, because their hit point pool is so low (e.g. 6k) and their hit box is the size of a barn, thus any AoE or attack destroys them immediately. If you ask me, turrets should have roughly equivalent health and thoughness to ranger pets. Turrets are immobile, self-destruct and their AI is even worse than the ranger pet AI: turrets attack the closest target e.g. a door, even if it is immune to at attack (e.g. net turret attacks the enemy tower doors). Ranger pets offer much more utility, can move, revive you etc.
maybe they track highest toughness targets wich is why they always go for walls and doors?
look at pvp all you see is heartseek spamming noobs .

thiefs have the highest mobility ingame
as well as the Highest dps
they arent the only medium armor users
can use combo fields to stealth indefinetly as long they do not hit an opponent
no cooldown stun breaker/teleport/shadowstep
steal boons
gain boons by stealing wich is also a shadowstep
Heal skills- i dont know what you’re talking about each heals for about 5k hp without traits nor gear buff not only that one of the heal evades cures cripple,chilled and immobilize another cures burn bleed and poison and stealths and the other heals per attack passively.they dont have Direct boons because they have signets (signets got buffed up to 100% so they give 180 points instead of 90 now)

dat 3 signet thief must be an unkillable death machine!you see thief is stronger than most think stealth is good but so is perma blinding. and teleporting
at least it shows im showing skill by not Relying on Stealth/backstab/heartseek spam unlike 90% thiefs

diference is i have blinds+#2 skill’s teleport/stun breaker+ my #3 stuns before doing the 9 hits.
and my damage was similiar to yours besides the 2 big crits with a One handed weapon.
look at pvp all you see is heartseek spamming noobs .

yeah i forgot we have infinite dodge rolls

So let me rephrase this logic:
1. Everybody should play a thief to learn to counter them. And equip their character accordingly. Or they deserve to die to a button masher2. Almost nobody players engineer in WvWvW and if a thief just spams his skills through block, blind and confusion and then loses, it is a sign that things are balanced.
Learning about other classes moves and how to counter them and knowing ahead of time what theyre likely to do is something good players find to be a standard thing to do. You wanna go into a fight and mash buttons and not care what your opponent does and still win I see, so I guess this skill based game isnt for you, have you ever thought about

Hey. Why don’t you roll a Thief and try beating a good guardian? A good ranger? A good engineer? A good D/D ele?
That’s right, you can’t. Face it, almost any profession can smash a thief in 1v1 combat. It’s really easy too. Just bunker up and win by attrition, that would be the definition of having no skill and still winning fights.
People just choose not to because they somehow believe that they should have all kinds of utility in WvW while still being able to beat the profession that can only do well in that one format, 1v1 combat.
again this is because thief requires no skill to instantly kill single players if thiefs actually depended on skill they would know Shortbows hit multiple enemies even with auto attack up to 2k damage easily .

Equipped Signets do not= Traits
Larcenous Strike and Steal does not = Traits
pistol #5+ Heartseek does not = Traits
doesnt take 30/30/30/30/30 to have fast initiative gain

There is indeed something amist here with us taking retaliation damage out of nowhere.
I was playing a few tournaments last night and ended up dying. Once I revived I ran out the gate [2s after revive] and took two hits of retal damage out of nowhere.
This was the only time i’ve ever experienced this so not sure why it happened.

At the end of the day, in WvW, the turret is ultimately an exploding target dummy. A mesmer clone has more utility than a turret in WvW and is on a far shorter cooldown.
and before someone comes saying this is a lie
Turret Cons:
Stationary
non scaling stats other than condition damage
Huge Cooldowns
mediocre damage
poor survivavility
Mesmer Clone:
some advantages:
Mobile
Applies conditions
Buffs Allies
Absorb 50% damage player would take
low cooldowns
long range
Damages Foes when killed
have permanent retaliation when traited
some clones deal massive damage
can be sacrificed in exchange for various effects= F- skills
Cons:
semi con- Low Hp (why buff it when you want them to die on purpose since they harm foes by being destroyed)

It doesn’t really matter if you are monitoring your health. You are downed in seconds or less.
It is kind of ridiculous that retaliation hits harder than the flamethrower.
I must admit, as someone who uses the flamethrower and pistol with coated bullets a lot, retaliation is the bane of my existence.
If your dying that fast then you aren’t paying attention or the dmg isn’t coming for retaliation sure FT probably suffers from retaliation more than most other weapons but it’s not as bad as u make it sound.
high powered players will do about 350 damage per retaliation tick
so lets see
10×350= 3500 damage
however if fighting multiple enemies or a mesmer
10×350×2=7000
10×350×3=10500 (FT is capped to 3 targets)
in the case of coated bullets
2×350×10=7000 in one shot
grenades
can hit up to 5 targets at once (then again im not sure if its up to 5 targets per grenade)
3×350×5=7500
and here’s the topping Retaliation procs confusion so gg if engineer ends up with confusion and hits a retaliation target
