Ofc its luck based as you play ranked games with pug players. So if you get a pug team that don’t know what is teamplay die all the time alone or never help teammates, never defend cap points there is no way you win that match. If you get players that know how to teamplay and help teammates there is a high chance you will win that game.

This happening because the matches and players pvp skill and teamplay ability is not similar even if they have same rating as enemy some of them still don’t know what is teamplay while enemy knows or how to defend nodes, or they die every 1v1 or die mid in 2-3 sec and keep running back and feeding them while i have to go as an 1 man army because they keep doing it like deathmatch keep doing useless fights/ useless mid fights that full tanky and probably don’t ever gona die keep doing what doesn’t work.

Sometimes i get peoples that good at teamplay and i win all those matches, sometimes they don’t even know what is teamplay and help teammates and i lose all those matches.

Duo q with skilled player = more luck to you.

It’s that easy.

Luck based system and taking advantage of duo q all people do that in the top. I bet none of them are full solo ( maybe they do solo q after they duo’d their way to a division where they dont get terrible bad teammates that dont even know how to pvp about 50% of the matches ) as other “noname” players that are good could take their spots in leaderboards and it could hurt some/not all well known players ego if there arent some cheap easy way to take advantage to be on top leaderboards.

Still no rating on players own skill its just some random number farmed with taking advatage of duo group till a division level where you don’t meet terrible bad players anymore even when you solo q.

Too bad it’s still very farming and luck based and have nothing to do with players true skill level.

Ranked 1v1 and ranked full solo q would be a lot more accurate about players true skill level than the current system.

Ranked 1v1 to rate the player how is able to handle 1v1 situations against your own class and vs other classes and ranked full solo q for rate the player for his teamplay skills. That 2 together = a lot more accurate to get some info about your true skill rating.

It’s not players skill rating. The rating we see. It’s the rating of the teams the player played in. So while someone having high rating it doesnt mean there isn’t a player in lower rating that plays better or can kick yur kitten 1v1.
But have lower rating because unlucky on pug teams or not duo farming with skilled players.

I also think its a gold problem. As i have said before i get players for like 10 matches that totally bad at pvp, cant kill anything die fast on 100% damage avoidance high mobility classes after that i get people that somewhat decent and can win with them.

Necro success ( “your rating” ) is really up to who plays more with better players as its not your rating it’s the team rating you play with. So all your rating says is you played more games with better teams as any necro good in good team and any necro free kill useless in bad team as he is not able to do his job with bad team while also vulnerable to focus. You use duo q with good player and matchmaking also gets you pugs with better players that have chance to win game then you will have high rating. If i put you in group with same players i had that bad lose streak you also stuck there where i am you are in group with players that don’t ever help necros, die fast, dont do any damage, don’t killing focus target that 2k hp already, never switching targets in fight etc.

Duo Q with good players + luck on getting players in most of your games that are not noobs = High rating

Everyone that not duo q with good players and not lucky on getting somewhat decent players that knows how to pvp will have way lower rating.

Im not sure what happend, but after a bad losing streak playing in group with weak players like 10 games or something like that. i get better players in my team now and i win all games.

Why even try to take you serious after making a nerf necro damage thread. You want the damage nerfed when almost every class that people play still have better damage burst/condi burst damage with 100% damage avoidance and mobility.

Maybe this is the reason i am way higher rated.

The reason is maybe you farmed your way in duo q while i doing full solo q. So dont compare my solo q to your duo q thanks. I don’t care much about ratings till we get fair system where everyone full solo q or 1v1 rankeds then you can show how high are you on ladders without any support.

So after i played my placement matches and other matches full solo i got in gold 3 after that i getting nowhere. Stuck in gold with players that die in seconds as fast or faster than necromancer and losing games. Thats my experience so far.

My teammates die faster than me on my necro. How to solo q necro in teams if teammates die in seconds every match i get?

Yes Warrior OP its kinda balanced for people that still want to have success even with brainless zerg gaming. and most people i play against in solo q they play Guardian Warrior Druid Revenant. After that ele mesmer engi and necro about least played i get a lot matches where the enemy don’t even have necros. Guardians sometimes in a stack of 3 others are stack of 2. Guardian in stack of 3 also means more and more player roll guardian because its also OP for solo/duo q and win more games for players.

You never kill good mesmers they have way more survivability and damage avoiding skills + mobility and burst that is impossible to outlast with necro. Less skilled or terrible mesmers yes they can die but other than that its insta loss for necro or mesmer just goes away if kitten happens.

You don’t kill any other class that same skilled as you. As some classes are almost able to 1 shot you while also can cc and interrupt spam you and you frekin vulnerable to it. while others you can’t kill because their healing/health regen and damage avoiding and mobility is way too high. So id say without support it feels crap as you are not great 1v1er on conquest which means your survivability mobility and damage sucks compared to other classes your damage sucks even more if whole enemy team focus you.

If you check necro videos on youtube all showing how they beat lower skilled/terrible players of other classes. It just doesn’t show the reality when they meet someone of xy class with half brain.

Reroll guardian maybe. You are necro you put marks corrupt some boons try run away from enemy but fail and die repeat. thats your job in this game solo q if you are playing alone. Sounds fun and balanced right? which also doesnt worth anything if you get so lame players in solo q that they cant even focus down boon corrupted enemy. So the class sometimes really feels trash too much cc and interrupt spam and stuns knockbacks pulls etc etc. and other stuff like that totally trash this class while also having slow skill cast times

Don’t 1v1 guards on conquest its a waste of time even if you kill them after 3-4mins fight on condi necro lol.

I think everything will still feel the same like now you don’t notice anything probably. There are too much cc and burst going on to feel those minor changes on necro.

1v1 is nice when you are getting bored matchmaking teams you up with useless players or all of the enemies are full tanky boon spamm classes and you have a full squishy team.

So i like the idea of 1v1 but not sure how is the balance for 1v1’s classes have hard counters so not sure you can build against hard counters. But i don’t want to fight warriors and guardians all the time they are annoying to fight they can take a lot of beating while also stun and pull you teleport on you doesnt matter where you stand and stuffs like that and burst you. I fear in 1v1 we almost always have to fight warriors and guardians etc.

I agree enemies are a bit weak but what should he show he is getting killed by warriors without it losing healthpool or almost any healthpool and getting condi bursted stunned to death while they re having good passive healing and 100% damage avoiding skills some warrior fights feels like you are fighting against a cheater in 1v1 its that hard counter when a non low skill player control it.

I think Leeto wasn’t that good actually he wasn’t really good especially in 1v1’s at all he didn’t stand a chance vs me but i remember he was a necro that kite kittening lot using spectral walk all the time i can agree on he was a “spectral master” using a bit different playstyle than avarage necros.

Atm some guy called Jfcc or something like that that also have a ele char give me some trouble but i didn’t have my passive plague signet proc for that matchup as i was testing chilling darkness and running wanderer amulet so i was kinda weak to condis so not sure how it goes with it on but also he is definiately good nec.

Rev tears incoming they can’t play brainless anymore. It will still be one of the strongest pvp classes. As dev said you have skills that does everything too much work for you = overtuned. Survivability + cc + high damage in 1 skill = just lol. I checked my nec and nowhere i see skills even close to this one.

Maybe not the best video ever but he is definiately a good necro. Also been in pug group with him sometimes in ranked. Haven’t lost a match yet when we are in the same group.
We are humans making mistakes all the time doesn’t matter how skilled we are we still making mistakes can’t play like gods all the time. Maybe for 1-2-3 matches after that if you don’t take break you will start losing perfomance and making mistakes. You can use a bit of coffein to have top perfomance a bit longer.

The fun starts when you are about mid-high/high skilled with necro so knowing your class well.

I win a lot of 1v1’s against any class, some warriors give me headache.

Leaderboard that show players full solo q win rate and their duo q win rate so it should show how do people get on top duo way or solo way. Easier way or harder way.
So with this we can see who got to the top on their own and they are getting chance to form new teams it would be a good motivation for me and others.
So everyone can see your full solo q win rate and duo q win rate ( i never premade/duo maybe i will do a bit of duo next season but its highly unlikely )
if i see peoples with good full solo q win rate maybe i form a team with them or i get invited to a competitive team etc. Need some motivation to keep it really competitive.

Duo q is still big advantage over full solo q as it means 2 people 100% sure will work together and carry randoms.

Does it will work like:

I get full random team vs 1duo 3 random or 2 duo 1 random?
If it works like this one team always will have advantage so the win/lose rate is not accurate if lets say i lose with full randoms vs 1-2 duo team or i have 1 duo in my team enemy have 2 duo. One team with more duo will have better focus and better teamplay advantage, better communication.

So yea without good pvp partner enjoy playing in a bit lower divisions not in your true skill division. Atleast thats what i think. True solo players will stuck in division somewhere behind duoers.

But we will see, im not sure how it will work.

I will keep playing my necro as i never grouped up for ranked as necro player so nothing news for me having to play necro on my own without any support from randoms.

I like to play whats hard so its really up to you: if you dont like having hard times and solve hard situations using your brain all the time to compensate for the weakness of the class then i don’t recommend it.

Almost all other classes like mesmer reve gua etc. feels like they carry me a lot in survivability after playing a necro. while having burst too auto attack also hits crazy 2k bow autos and 3k hammer etc if i remember correct after condi necro. So i like to call them the easy mode classes for solo q.

Ruby is pain division on EU for true full solo q. Sometimes you get people you can teamplay with and you have some solo q teamplay feeling and next time you only get terrible bads that like never played the game before and they are ruby. no focus, no dps, no team support, taking and leaving points undefended, fighting outside of points while enemy cap everything, all rush far after taking mid when we have 2 cap and die then we lose all caps and lose game again and my blood pressure goes up ( joking ) im again with stupidz.

Imo there are lot better players finished or stuck in ruby, diamond ( probably true full soloq players ) than lot of current legends. It just doesn’t feel right figting some legends and finishing them in 5-10sec as ruby player. A lot of legend players have only like low-mid max mid skill. You can see how good they are if you watching their character movement/control, what they are able to do in teamfight and what they are able to do in 1v1.

100% damage avoiding skills ( also high mobility 100% damage avoiding ) have to be nerfed to give damage mitigation instead 30% 50% etc. and balance the damage of the classes/builds from there.

Thats what required for fun fights. Atm all we face in every match is invu invu, block block block, evadee evadee, 00000, dodge dodge + high mobility teleports etc spamm.

Its OP lazy mechanic that carry bad/good players alot that can have 100% damage avoiding while also have high burst damage output.

While also not fun to fight against almost every match full of damage avoiding spam.

i eat the burst as they are attacking while also avoiding damage lol.

We had “bunker meta” before, we have now “100% damage avoiding tanky burst meta”

Procmancer is not viable for mid-high-high level solo q as it requires teamplay to make it work and who knows what kind of teamplay skill level players you get on your team, maybe they never heard of teamplay or go tunnel vision, big solo hero, thats when you will fail with procmancer

Damage received say it all nothing to see here. It was a match of low skill. I usually get 400k to 1m incoming damage in ranked solo q vs good players.

If i get 800k-1m incoming damage thats when i have useless loser pug team that don’t know what is teamplay or help others and im totally alone trying to survive all time focus.

Nerf necro aoe output

You know that if you ban HoT spec you lose also Reaper’s Shroud which solved some old necro isues. A little bit of mobility, stability and melee attacks instead of slow cast life blast and 0 stability that was countered easily in many ways.

I don’t really care about passives etc i can live without them but agree the sustain is low and sometimes can be even unplayable low with pug players. We need damage avoiding skills/traits. Or remove other classes 100% damage avoiding and balance from there or change every 100% damage avoiding to 33% 50% damage mitigation etc.

Hello there!

So im trying to make a condi build especially for Solo q where you can never count on teamplay/support up to what kind of players you get.

I need a good condi survivability build for when getting unknown solo players.

The point is to have as much survivability as possible while still having noticable/some decent damage.

What traits,rune,amulet, sigils, utilities to choose?

Ive tried already some variations, but not sure which build have the best synergy for that.

Playing necro I always kind of cringe if I dont have a support on my team. maybe thats just me though.

If your pug team don’t play as a team don’t move together you are totally useless there with necro as you just will be the food of the enemy + your survivability don’t scale well enough other than some 1v1 up to which class/classes jump on you. Which means if your team don’t have teamplay or never support/help. You can’t do kitten on those matches just suffer the necro issues because of non teamplayer pugs and bad survivability scale + enemy use all focus necro tactic.

100% damage avoiding with skills ( also high mobility damage avoiding ) makes the game not fun to play. Even if you give necros also more damage avoiding skills its balance the game as necro survivability don’t scale the more peoples appear, but not fixing the issue of all the time have to fight against damage avoiding builds.

Remove that too much 100% damage avoidance. Fix them to give 10% 15% 33% or 50% damage reduction for some sec etc instead. Just stop that lame no skill 100% damage avoiding spam its good if you want to chase away old players and especially new players fast. It’s a lame lazy mechanic that don’t attract players/ new players and not fun to fight against.

It’s the matchmaking that need to be fixed.
I said it before both teams should have 1 support 4 dps or 1 support 1 bunkerish damage avoiding skill class and 3 squishy dps.

So also if one of top teams wipe midfight in 5 sec they should all give up and go afk because that means the team that win first mid fight will win match always.

People go afk in conquest, give up early. I don’t want to be in team with stupid mentality players and system also wasting my time because of that weak links.

How stupid is this lose first mid fight then go afk what kind of stupid mentality is this, where are all those weak link players come from and why they are not punished?

To players like this:

You will never improve like this and will also stay a weak person forever that just give up everything fast = Looser.

They are kittenin my fun/ wasting my time and they are not punished.

If i join ranked i want to play, not just waiting for the end or kamikaze myself into enemy zerg alone till the end of game because of weak persons

I want the system punish anyone going afk or not playing the game as it should be.

I think stacked necros are more like a weakness than a problem. It only becomes viable if necro players more skilled than enemy players and also their teammates are somewhat useful.

Class stacking become unbalanced because of multiple block, evade,invu,stealth and boon spam + heavy armor classes stacked. Bad matchmaking put me in random team that full squishy against team with heavy armor that full of 100% damage avoiding skills and boon spam.

Some people say they don’t like to get necro in their group as

Necro = Lose match ( if randoms don’t know how to play in group with necros there is high chance to lose. As zerg necro tactic win the game because usually none helps them or rare to get any useful help. )

Guard = win match as people don’t have to adapt to guardians. They can survive, can defend cap point alone vs multiple enemies good enough, can burst, cc etc without any support.

Peoples also don’t like stacked thieves. Stacked thieves = lose match usually but not always.

You can’t do nothing about bad design. Reroll one of the overtuned classes that mechanic carry you a lot in solo q or keep enjoy the underdog and wait/hope once you will be viable without random soloers help ( Which already doesn’t happen most of the time or even if one of them try to help lets say in downstate as usually thats the only time when i see people try help, when already downed and gets attacked by 1 enemy your teammate stop trying just let you die and run away with full hp )

But there are also good peoples ( too bad its very rare like white raven ) that sometimes help and thats when necro can become about on the same level like other classes.

When it can focus also on offense not just defense ( which is also weak compared to other classes ) and running away from people all the time and trying to survive while doing 0 dps because we are easy to take down to zerg+ cant do any noticeable damage when focused, enemy healthpool just stay full or regen back that little slow condi damage.

About a week ago a thief noticed 3 players attack me while i try to survive hard and kite them away from mid "I was thinking if i have to die atleast kite brainless zergers off from mid and he come help me and we win the 2v3 me coming back from half dead + also take mid it was a kittenin hard match up warrior, guardian and rev

Bad balancing because necro class doesn’t work ideal/good at all without all time support.

It does requires players to work together as team.
In solo q most of the time you don’t get any support just die respawn run back and die some more and run back more till you finally get a team where you get 1-2 decent teamplayer soloers.
In solo q players are rare that have decent teamplay skill even if they can 1v1 but don’t have teamplay skill they worth like nothing they are just solo hero build carryed bads.

Any decent player knows at start of the match their necro will be zerged hard so need all help possible, any little bit of help is better than no help at all and lose the match or blame on necro ( which is the easiest ) why he dies in 6sec to zerg that comes at him.

Balancing needs to be done for SoloQ’s as thats what most people play till they don’t get bored of unbalance / waiting but balance is not coming. All classes should have about same chance to survive/run away/fight reset/catch players trying to run away. Guardians for an example can hit with bow hard from far + catch anyone trying to run away low health with 1 button press. People run away from me if they are low on health and survive or even restart fight and attack again with burst damage when about every defensive skill is on CD + LF sucked but i can’t run away from people if im low on health? Balance.

If you watched Episode 1 of Best Player, you’ll see that I never have a problem fighting on point. Even vs 3 players. It comes down to skill. I can hold off 3 on pretty much any class except thief. And that’s only because holding them off implies they’re still alive. I’d suggest training harder and watching some pro’s play. The game is perfectly balanced imo: those with skill beat those without.

You think its balanced because you play one of the overtuned classes.
If you think its balanced and you are skilled then show us what you are able to do with necromancer on your own for example thats all i care about.

I don’t care what you do on druid, you said the game is perfectly balanced. So if you think you are skilled and skill beats others like you said: i want to see how do you beat every classes on necro and double DH’s and holding points vs 3 players etc.

I suggest that you suggest peoples also to play a class that can carry them a lot before telling them to train harder.

Well druids can do too many things overall. Have damage, can bunker, can support allies, have mobility, can win 1v1’s,pet, can play kite+ LOS game with heals while pet doing the job. Its one of the win win easy mode class of GW2 by default if we compare it to necro hybrid damage, a lil bit of control and boon corruption anyone not blind can see it.

Is 5 vs 5 the source of the problem ?

I think solo players should get a new game mode that don’t take as much brain to win as conquest but still fun.

A lot of players still don’t know how to play conquest and you have to play with them and see on map you play like 3v5 because you have 2 peoples at terrible positions outside of points or doing beast when they are required in teamfights + enemy also steal beast sometimes thats the best situation ever. They just take cap then leave it dont care about it zerg like stuped or fight out of points.
If i care about it while hope support will come but no support dont come i get stomped so after that enemy again have atleast 2 points.

We just need a “Capture the Flag” like game mode, not conquest.

As you just need to go to enemy base cast 5 sec on flag or stuff to steal it and run back to your base with the flag or stuff and activate it with 5 sec cast.

If you die on the way with the stuff your teammates can pick up if you are not able to pick up the stuff in 15-20sec the stuff automatically goes back to enemy base and you have to steal it again.

Everyone have to move to the same place all the time for success so its not hard on brain for most soloers.

1v1 problem solved.

Solo players that are true “solo hero bads” not smart or not tactical/teamplayer in solo q problem solved.

Matchmaking is bad sometimes you play with smart people that know how to conquest and sometimes you play with peoples making stupid things, decisions.
