Yes, the gloves are once per account for the story reward. You have to either buy the other two or get lucky and get one out of the Greater Nightmare Chest.

Yeah, I’d like to see the cultural armor either become skins or be changed to exotic pieces. Or, if not exotics, let us pick the stats for them. But, as was already said, this is something people have been asking for since launch, really. I don’t see it changing.

In terms of usefulness, Incinerator is your best bet. But as far as looks go, Bolt is way better.

The stance there is a common one for concept art because it gives a large canvas for the artist to work with when it comes to “dressing” them. It shows the arms, legs, torso, and head, allowing the artist to show as much detail as he or she can. So, I think it’s pretty dumb to call it “lazy”.

My guess is that it was definitely intended and done to try to make sure people stayed in the Silverwastes map a little bit longer.

If you look at your Achievements, you can see that the glove box is a reward for completing the story (the achievement for it). So, the gloves are only once per account.

I think some people use sigils of the night for many dungeons, since the Exp paths for five of them (and for some of the fractals) take place at night. Otherwise, having a bloodlust sigil is always good. Sigil of force isn’t bad, either.

Yes. You’d have to complete the whole LS chapter on that character first in order to Replay it for achievements. Or Replay and do the achievements on the first character you did it on.

RNG is RNG. Plus, people also like to exaggerate and lie. Plus plus, odds are that friend put even more greatswords than you did into the forge and also had very unlucky streaks in the past where he also didn’t get anything.

I think writers often have their hands tied when it comes to having kids in video games (or other media). There are a lot more “rules” when it comes to writing kids and how they can be treated, and as you noted, you end up with some problems if the child is present during major events (especially ones involving potential deaths).

That being said, there have been a few kids who have been put in GW2 who are at least partially fleshed-out. Taimi is obviously the only major one. There’s an asura girl (at least I think it’s a little girl) who is being watched over by a big norn in Gendarran Fields; there’s a whole event around her. And the Halloween cubs/kids/progeny, while not complex characters, are pretty well-liked by the community. Plus, the kids who were escorted out of Lion’s Arch during that siege and the ones we saw who survived were part of the plot.

Lastly, I’d consider the sylvari to be much more childlike in their enthusiasm and curiosity than the asura.

With the exception of the occasional bugged granted achievement, you have to do the full story on a character before you can get credit for achievements on those characters. So, if you have a main and do the story on that character, you technically can’t hop onto an alt and get credit for all the achievements on the alt. You’d have to Replay the storyline on your main to do the achievements.

As others said, turn on AoE loot, and bind it to something other than F. I have mine bound to one of the side buttons on my mouse. So I just routinely click it during big fights.

I vote that if we allow mounts, they’re only in non-city, wvw, or pvp zones. And only allow them to be used in zones you’ve already done 100% map completion on. And cap the speed boost to 33% (maybe 50% if they’re feeling generous).

Double clicking on an insignia or inscription won’t teach you the recipe. And, as zax already said, you can’t craft Rabid items and wouldn’t be able to learn it anyway.

Are you sure you did this on a character that had already completed the first run through of the story? If not, that could be why you didn’t get achievement credits.

As was said, these spells/casts are usually a faster way to rez downed people, since they can rez more than one person in a very short amount of time. However, some rez skills are better than others. Warbanner, for example, is way better than Illusion of Life.

Even if they put the patch notes right in front of peoples noses in game, people would just click it off and ask in map chat rather than read it. My point is that even if they put in a big notice on the front page of the forums, only the forum users will be the ones to see it, and the forum users aren’t usually the ones asking those questions in-game.

I’d definitely love to see more thorough reporting options, as well as a comment field to explain the situation. We can already do that with Bug Reports; it’d be nice to have that available for all other reports.

And, for the record, player moderators In-Game sounds like a terrible idea.

Speaking as someone who mains a necro, I’ve only had one time where I was kicked from a run for being a necro (once for HOTW p1). I’ve never had trouble finding dungeon groups or even fractals groups (mind you it was low level fractals, though; higher level will not want a necro).

All three classes have great things about them. Warrior and ele will always be wanted in pretty much all dungeon situations, especially if you play well (and know your combo fields/finishers for ele). Warrior and necro are both much easier to get a handle on than ele, with warrior obviously being the easiest. But I still wouldn’t call warrior boring. You need a rotation set up to do optimal damage, and you can change up your utilities for different situations.

As others already said, change your status to invisible. You can also just not rep that guild when you want to play alone, so that you won’t see any text. You could also hide your chat window or just have it set to show the combat log instead of chat.

You might as well have just bought yourself another account rather than all those character slots. Then at least you’d have two banks to spread things between. You could also make a personal guild for the bank use.

Players below a certain level (I can’t remember what level exactly) can’t start or interact with skill points.

There are only a couple of instances where a lowbie (as in below level 68 or so) can get an exotic drop:

1. From specific boss/world events. Example: Shadow Behemoth drops a unique item, Final Rest, which can drop for any level characters. There are similar drops for many other world bosses.

2. Champion Bag Exclusive exotics. These will only drop from champion loot bags (of any rarity), and there are only specific ones that drop. Lord Taeres Shadow, Arc, Bonetti’s Rapier, and Entropy are examples of that group of exotics.

3. During special events, such as the initial Southsun karka event where people were scaled up to level 80 and got exotics from the reward chest.

As far as I know you cannot get an exotic drop outside of those examples. So, a lowbie could not get a precursor as a drop. So, if you open a champion bag on a level 50 character, you’ll have a shot at getting the Champ Bag Exclusive weapons. But the rest of the gear you receive will be at your level or close to your level.

Yeah. The whole “SURPRISE! Last PS step is a dungeon!” thing was always a bit weird to me. But you can totally do the LS chapters solo. Doing some of the achievements might be easier with a friend or two, but they’re all still soloable. You can unlock the previous Season 2 chapters (I think there were four before the current one) in the gem store, too.

I’m not sure about the tracking map things. But you don’t have to group up for the Living Story chapters; I’ve done almost all of them solo. And once you unlock the LS chapters, they’re there permanently.

Throw mine/detonate, rocket boots, and rumble (from using thumper turret), too. Engies have a plethora of fields and finishers.

It’s so weird how often that’s happening. I did it six times (twice on my main, for completion and achievements, and then once on four more characters), and I didn’t have this problem happen a single time.

Yeah, they celebrate it in October. Plus, I think almost every culture that has farming and such associated with its life and history has a harvest festival of some sort. But, at the same time, I think most countries with an established military have some sort of Armed Forces day or remembrance day, as well.

Yeah, it’d be nice to clear up my bank by being able to have the SAB currencies, festival tokens, geodes, bandit crests, fortune scraps, and even pristine relics (just give people the option to “deposit” those to the wallet or to keep them out to convert into the other relics).

I’m sure this has been brought up before, but yadda yadda search feature yadda.

As I was doing my Silverwastes and LS achievements, I accumulated around 1000 of the bandit crests (and that’s after buying some keys and extractors). I’m sure those who have spent more time in there have way more than that. These, along with the geodes, are supposedly tied to permanent content that will be in the game for quite a long time. There’s nothing I really want or need from the bandit crest traders right now, but I’m assuming more will be added with the upcoming LS chapters. Could we possibly see about adding them to the wallet, so that we don’t have to keep multiple stacks of a currency in our banks?

I seem to recall that some time ago they made it so that the temple closest to the statues has to be uncontested in order for a statue to be deactivated.
