Yeah, a lot of the items in your inventory are account bound or soul bound things. And, as was stated above, you can’t sell t hose.
No problem.
Another thread about this suggested clearing any items you may have sitting in the TP for pick up (or even for selling). have you tried that?
Edit: I just hopped on a character who isn’t finished with the main Personal Story. In the Story Journal tab of the Hero Panel (not the one under Achievements), there is your main PS and then at the bottom Season 2. When I click on Season 2, I have an option to “Begin this story”. Have you tried checking there to start up the Season 2 content?

I’m not able to empty my TP-Queue, cause i have rly much items in there
Would need ~40+ bank-chars to empty it, what can i do to get this problem solved? Will I never be able to play with my friends now, unless I empty my TP?
That would be sad :-/
Why can’t you just empty your TP? Take some items out. Salvage them or whatever it is you do with them. Take out more. Salvage/whatever. Keep going until you can unlock it.
There just is no light Whispers shoulder armor. I imagine they just didn’t put it in because of how the helm covers the shoulders, as well. Edit: I wish they would just take out the slyvari t2 cultural shoulder for the same reason (as well as a few other cases).

Ok. What are you trying to sell? Could you possibly post a screenshot?
I love the llamas. It reminds me of the constant Llama stuff in The Sims franchise. :p
Are you using invisible bags/safe boxes? If so, any sellable items in those bags won’t show up at vendors or on the Trading Post.
Certain things, such as the adventurer items and the monocle (as well as a couple of others), don’t unlock all three sets of skins.
I don’t think it’s a bug, but it’s still annoying. If you didn’t have the skin either in your inventory/bank, on a character, or on a still-existing item that had the skin tied to it via transmutation, then it won’t show up as unlocked. So, even if you already bought a bunch of the cultural armor before the wardrobe went in, they won’t be Unlocked in the wardrobe if you don’t still have the item.
Yup. Zerker necro. Easy peasy.
And who’s the disrespectful one? The person who waits patiently searching for an empty gauntlet and not ruining arenas where farmers already are or where people are trying to do liadri, or the person who queues without giving a kitten about the other people who are using the arena?
Odds are there weren’t any empty arenas. You obviously were able to farm your 4000g just fine, even with these terrible, terrible people trying to play the game at a less-populated arena.
Yes, it can be dyed. The rim, chain, and the “glass” part can all be dyed.
I think I’ve spent about $100 or so on gems since buying the game before launch.
Welcome in Guild Wars 2 where the RNG trolls you hardly.I hope you enjoy your staying.
I already have no intention to get any Ascended,Teq,etc drops I just wish to get 1,only 1 exotic every day for running the whole world boss train and Ac/Cm/CoF dungeons…I’ve done this now 3 days the whole runs and I can count on a hand how much exotics I got :-) with 115% Magic Find and Food+Boost almost every time.
So I don’t have such a high wishes anymore but I wish you luck with it.
Well, MF wouldn’t affect the Daily Reward chest from the world bosses, or the big reward chests from those bosses or from dungeon bosses. But obviously it can affect your odds of getting a drop from a mob.
I loved watching and listening to the LS 2 music preview. Having a live orchestra performing the music adds a whole new level of depth, and I think it’ll definitely add a lot to the aesthetics of the upcoming season. I hope to see more use of an orchestra in GW2’s future. Beautiful work, Maclaine Diemer.
I honestly think a token system for the ascended skin drops from Teq and Wurm (and any future similar content) would be best. That way the people who (successfully) do those events the most often will have a real chance to get them.
The champ boxes only have rare chances to drop things higher than masterwork quality, and MF doesn’t affect the contents of containers (such as champ boxes).
As for the rest of the reward, the reward for Arah Story is exp, karma, the class-related level 80 rare helm, and 50s. You should get the 50s reward, exp, and karma every time you run it for the first time in a day. The helm is a one-time only thing, and the shards (3 of them) I think only drop from a random boss in the dungeon. And that big chest on the deck is the same one from the objective you did before killing Zhaitan; so it won’t have anything in it at the end, unless you just didn’t get your loot from before.
You don’t get your main reward (the pact token, guild influence letter, siege blueprints, etc.) until you do the follow up story at Fort Trinity.
and @ roseofgilead: bagpipes played well are great, clearly you were standing by somebody who plays them poorly
I wasn’t talking about the quality of the performance so much as the loudness. The person playing at the time is a professional bagpiper and is quite talented. It’s just an extremely loud instrument. :p And after hearing what the GW2 in-game trumpet sounds like, I can’t imagine the bagpipe sounding pleasant. Unless they are careful with it, as theft was talking about.
All I know is that I still think of Hambow as a Ranger with a pig pet.
Yes, you have to buy 6 items from each tier to finish the specialty armor achievements. The achievement description is pretty vague, I know. :\
Thank you both for your replies, definitely much clearer than the release notes.
So even when guesting and representing my friend’s guild, I’m still contributing to my own one-person guild pool on my own server. Bank included. The Megaserver hasn’t affected this aspect yet.
And if I’m on a guild mission I still need to “guest” after each disconnect or I won’t get the reward.
If I’m understanding correctly, if not on a guild mission there is really no benefit to guesting since the Megaserver allows you to play/party up with friends, and all the guild stuff is unfortunately still completely separate (at the moment).
I think I will hold off transferring then. I’m assuming the influence I am accumulating will be combined with my friend’s guild at the end of the year if/when the Megaserver works toward that goal.
Yup, that’s all correct. Except I’m not 100% sure about the last part about the influence being combined once guilds are cross-server. I think we’d have to wait and see about that one.
As a side note regarding Ulgoth the Modniir:
- ArenaNet, please finally get around to correcting the show/hide code so the collision box for the event chest is not there at all times. The collision box has always been there even when the event is not taking place. It is especially aggravating when the event is active and players constantly run into this invisible box while trying to maneuver around the boss. If there is no chest, there should be no collision box for the chest.
Funny thing about that. For a while after launch that chest was just always there. It was always available to be looted, even when no event was going on (let alone completed). I guess when they “fixed” that issue they just made it invisible until the Modniir event is completed.
As someone who has been next to a bagpipe while it was being played indoors, I have to say “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO”. Seriously. That tone would just be awful. It’d be like the trumpet, only even worse.
Malchor was a creepy stalker.
As far as guilds are concerned, they’re still tied to a server. That WILL be changed, however; Anet has said they hope to have that changed by the end of the year, I believe. But, for now, if you want to be able to use a guild bank, give their version of the guild influence, and get the guild upgrade buffs and such, you’ll need to either transfer to your friends’ server or join a guild on your server.
As far as just playing together, you and your friends can just party up and join eachother in the same version of a map, without having to Guest anymore. Obviously, though, you won’t be able to play with them in wvw unless you transfer to their server. But, outside of wvw and the guild stuff, there’s really no need to transfer servers if you don’t have the gems/gold/desire.
Though when he wore Rytlock’s skull it was pretty cool.
I demand to see an artist’s rendering of this. Get to work, reddit!
It was horrible. All that blood.
Edit: For real, if you decide to ignore a whole year’s worth of story, you’re going to miss out on what happens. You could probably just look up the basic gist of the story and the new characters on the wiki.
The gold for gems ratio will continue to go up over time. It will fluctuate from time to time, but will trend steadily upwards unless more desirable things that cost gold are introduced into the game than desirable things that cost gems.
Yup.
1. Anet said they have plans to make guild upgrades/bonuses cross-server (I think by the end of the year).
2. They’re actually not getting you influence; they’re getting the shard of the guild on their server influence, but your server’s shard doesn’t get it. :\
So, in the meantime, you might be better off either recruiting for your server only (mention your server in your recruitment message).
I farmed the gauntlet for a couple of hours yesterday (I had over a stack of tickets and just wanted them gone). I was alone for about 45 minute, but then people started showing up. I honestly welcomed it. It kept me from feeling so bored because I had others to interact with and (in most cases) cheer on as they progressed up the gauntlet ladder. But I’m the type of person who just cannot stand to farm for too long without something to break up the monotony.
That being said, I definitely would prefer if the gauntlet arenas could be instanced. Sometimes I just don’t want an audience or to have a FPS drop because of a zerg below me.
Run a champ train. Champ boxes will often have skill points in them. And if you throw on an exp booster and eat food with the exp boost, you’ll also level up more often, giving you more skill points.
Yeah, it looks like you put the Hero weapon skin onto it instead of the Mistforged.
I think Anet nerfed light sources in Sharkmaw puzzle. When my guild ran it, my Mad Memories: Complete Edition (its a skin now it seems) stopped working there. We all got ported across instead.
Mad Memories still works for me. But even if it doesn’t work, you can either turn your gamma settings all the way up or use anything with an AOE (warrior longbow 3 and F1, necro marks/wells, ele aoes, etc.) to see where it’s safe to jump to.
My advice: Wait until you get a precursor. If you happen to get one that’s not the one you’re wanting to make, then sell it and use the gold from that to buy the one you want. Get 100% map completion done while you’re trying to get the precursor, so you’ll have that out of the way. If you’re going for a legendary that requires lodestones, run the dungeon that drops them everyday (at least two of the paths); CoE for charged, SE for destroyer, TA for onyx, etc. And save all of the T6 you get.
I got a full stack of tickets just by doing Boss Blitz. Try those.
Edit: Yeah, I don’t know why I confused the tokens from the bazaar with tickets. my bad.
I already spend approx $200 a month in gems cause of the greedy #$% Anet and their stupid expensive prices
How is it Anet’s fault that you’re spending $200 a month on gems?
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. However, I usually just keep my consumables (fire ele power, ogre pet whistles, food, sharpening stones, etc.) in one to two rows in my top inventory bag. That way they’re always in the same place (at the very top) when I open my inventory.

“Create diversions by detonating some of the powder.
Though not stated, it appears you must kill all centaurs in the camp to continue the story, otherwise the last objective will not appear "
There’s a full checklist here. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer
I always take Battle Standard with me in group content, except for when we’re skipping sections. I know others who don’t bring Battle Standard, though. Generally speaking, If you’re the only warrior in your party, take Battle Standard. If there is another warrior (or more than one), you’re fine to switch to Signet of Rage (or you could ask if they’re going to run that banner before switching).
From what I’ve seen, over the course of several evenings (with both bugged encounters and smooth encounters), you have to leave at least one of the pre-events up so that it finishes after the boss window opens. If you rush and finish all of the pre-events before the boss is in its 15 minute window, it will bug and not proceed.
As a side note, it’s impossible for you to have all Purple gear. Do you mean all orange/gold (exotic)?
Pay attention to what color your server is. At reset this week look to see if your server’s color changes. If it does, then go into your server’s BL as close to reset as possible, to grab your map stuff as your server takes things.
Dyes are account bound now and far cheaper than before.
As for banners, yes, Banners of Discipline and Strength are sought after for dungeon runs.
Well, RNG is RNG.
For the bikinis!
Yeah, it’s not just the stone. It’s a fairly recent change to the forge. It’s pretty lame.
Yes. Yes it does. As soon as you leave the party.
Actually, it doesn’t. Party Chat gets cleared once you load into a new instance or new zone. So, if you’re inside a dungeon when you leave party, you’re switching zones; thus, your Party Chat is wiped. If you exit the dungeon before leaving party, your Party Chat will still be there (until you go to a new zone or log out).
How about ppl looting your guild stash and then leaving the guild and EVERY trace or the person/records disappears? Isn’t that a superb mechanic too!? Ftw….
That sounds like someone was either hacked or became very, very angry with the guild before quitting the game. The first scenario is sadly the most likely.
Destiny’s Edge had two asura.
And one died!
