Nevermind, it was the area above it. I managed to activate the mini-dungeon.
Oh good!
As far as I know, you can’t unlock that area without doing that PS instance(s). However, I think the exploration achievement is account based. So, you could level a new character so that you choose to help the grawl and unlock the area on that character.
That’s not a bug.
Black lion keys > black lion tickets/ticket scraps > special weapon skins that you can sell on the TP
You also have a rare chance to get unlimited tonics which sell for a good bit, as well. There are also some minis that sell for a few gold a piece, as well as mini set packs and dye packs.
Unfortunately, all the loot chests are now once per day per account. You could try running CM for cotton (or light armor to salvage for the cotton) and TA for linen, I suppose.
Orr is great for lots of bag drops and mats.
Out of curiosity, were those of you who are having this trouble wearing the item when the wardrobe system went in? There are people in my guild who had that issue with items their characters were wearing at the time of the change.
^ That
AC 1/3, CM 1/3, TA Up/FF, SE 1/3, CoF 1/2, CoE 3 (and sometimes 2), and HotW 1 are all pretty easy and fast. That’s a lot of gold per day, just on the base gold reward per path alone.
It’s been reported as a bug, and there have been a few posts about it in the Bug subforum. So, hopefully they know about it by now and will fix it.
I never got my tailpipe bandana hat either. I had it on at least 2 characters.
Did you have one or both of those characters talk to the NPC to get them converted?
I would make a male character just so he could wear it.
I can’t recall a major event scaling down once it was already in progress. The only exceptions are when you have an event that spawns lots of trash mobs; those will sometimes change from elites and champions to veterans and some normals if people leave before new waves appear. However, the boss difficulty remains the same once he’s engaged.
TTS maps can be a pain in the butt to get into.
You can try looking at the LFG in-game, at the Open World section. There are usually posts for either Taxis to Gold BB maps or people asking for taxis to them.
I always counted at least 5 spiders, 2 far and up towards the boss spawn, one close and up the short steps, one by the door and 1 to the left of the door you walk down from. It’s been like that since at least the revamp way back, if not launch.
I’ve always counted 3 until the last patch as I’m usually the one pulling the room during our runs.
Another thing that has seemed to weird to me is the ring of fire boss on SE p3, his damage output seems to have increased because he’s casting a triple fireball attack now in melee range that I believe he did not cast unless you were outside of melee range before. I could be wrong of course, I just felt like the group was taking too much damage too quickly these last couple of days.
You also can’t use condition removal on the fire debuff anymore. Before the patch you could just use “Shake It Off” and such to clear it off the whole party. Now, you’re back to either just sticking it out or going to the water.
The info is slightly wrong. The title requires a bit more than full world completion. I remember getting the Gifts and much later the title.
If I remember correctly there is a PoI or WP somewhere is Orr which does not count towards World Completion but is needed for the title.
The only PoI that is not included in a zone’s map completion needed for World Completion and the Title is the Chantry of Secrets PoI. Which is noted in the article linked above.
That.
100% world completion only requires 100% world completion. And as was quoted above, the one that tends to trip most people up is the Chantry of Secrets POI in Bloodtide Coast.
It’s best to be able to roll with whatever works best for your group. But melee tends to be the way I go. Generally speaking, the only boss fights I range are Sure Shot Seamus in CM p3 (and that’s only if the reflecting goes badly when we try to stack) and the armored personnel carrier in SE p3. Oh, and Malrona in TA up if things start to go south.
When it comes to Arah, having all your options is the best way to go. Once you learn Lupi well enough to know when he’s about to do his big attacks, you’ll be able to melee him just fine.
You’re welcome.
You can only get the chest from Personal Story rewards. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Stalwart_armor
Hmmmm……I hardly ever play PvP yet I have a few of the other pieces in my wardrobe….must have gotten the skins from Achievement Chests.
Yeah, I actually have the helm and (I think) gloves from the set. Oh, and I actually have the pants. I’m fairly certain I got them from achievement chests, too.
I finally got around to making my first piece of ascended armor just today. So, now my necro has a pair of ascended gloves. Dunno when I’ll ever make another item.

That one is definitely up-to-date.
What’s a precursor drop? Do they actually drop? Never had one drop, although did manage to craft one or two in mystic toilet.
Yeah, they actually drop. I got one from a trash mob in SE once. And I’ve had guildies who got them from mobs in Fractals and other players in wvw.

Even though you claim you’ll never buy anything from the trading post, start saving gold anyway.
Do world events every day, and throw the rares in the forge. Re-forge any exotics you get from that. If you do happen to get a precursor but not for a weapon you want/could use, I’d suggest selling it on the trading post and then buying the one you want. If you still choose to not use the trading post ever, then whichever precursor you got is what you’ll be making.
Run CoE and Temple of Dwayna for charged lodestones, TA and Melandru for onyx lodestones, dredge areas/SE for destroyer lodestones, and CoF for molten lodestones. But keep in mind that dungeon chest rewards are now only once per day; you’ll have to run these for many, many days. You can also use the forge to promote cores to lodestones.
Start opening heavy heavy loot bag you get, hoping for t6. Also, farm champions and hope for t6. Basically, your GW2 life for the next year+ will be farming.
If you get stuck with Juggernaut, then make a character, get it to about level 20-25, and park it at a JP chest. Check it every day for a silver doubloon. There are also forge recipes with equally frustrating results.
Champ Bag exotics are the only special ones, that I know of, that will drop for non level 70s/80s. ARc, Cobalt, Entropy, and Bonettis Rapier are all in that special category. I don’t think anyone below high levels can get a named exotic that’s not a Champ Bag special exotic.
Edit: Here are the champ bag exotics that players of pretty much any level can get (again, from champ bags). http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_loot_bag#Gallery
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
I believe you cannot get exotics before a certain level (around the 70s), with the exception of the unique champ bag exotics (Lord Taeres’ Shadow, Genesis, Entropy, Song of the Temptress, Impaler, etc.). So, no, you wouldn’t be able to get a precursor before close to level 80 (or only at level 80).
However, who really knows?
As far as I know, no, they never put them into PvE.
Nope, it doesn’t. You have to buy all three if you want all three. Good news is they’re all really cheap (compared to before the most recent patch) right now.
Oh man. I didn’t even think about trying to use that when I re-ran Arah Story yesterday. I’m glad I didn’t use it, now that I know he’s not affected. Anet, get on that! I need bobblehead Zhaitan!
The one I hate the absolute most out of all the vistas in the entire game is the one in the middle of Dredgehaunt Cliffs (it’s in Dostoev Sky Peak). Second worst is also in a dredge cave, but this one is in Frostgorge Sound (in the Bore Lynch area). Getting to them isn’t necessarily hard, but there are lots of mobs in both that do knockbacks. And since you’re on scaffolding in both of them, knockbacks often result in falling to your death. :p
Yes, the skin becomes unlocked for your entire account, and any appropriate class (e.g. light classes for light armor) can wear it.
You need to put in a ticket for support. https://help.guildwars2.com/home
As I said, it’s not a bug. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Invaders_weapons
“Invaders weapons cannot be salvaged, nor can they be recycled in Mystic Forge anymore. "
They changed it quite a while back.
Hey, every self-respecting norn rocks a battle thong.
I did it last night, and it wasn’t any different. Keep in mind that you need reflects if you’re going to (mostly) painlessly do the stack thing for those golems.
The legs are human medium T3 cultural.
Yeah, I did that heart on my thief earlier this month, and I had the same issue.
That’s because you don’t discover celestial armor recipes. You buy the recipe for the insignia, and you buy the recipe for the armor piece(s) you’re making. Then you make the item in the Production tab (not Discovery).
It’s not a bug, Tozzo. They made it that way on purpose. So, there’s nothing for them to fix.
No, you cannot join cross-region like that. If you’re on an EU server, you can’t join with a US party (and vice versa).
If there is only one leader and that player is offline for more than a fixed period – I think it’s currently 14-21 days, then the game automatically chooses another guild member and promotes them to leader rank with full permissions.
I’m sorry, but that’s not true at all. Example: My primary guild’s leader didn’t log on for over six months at one point. She was never demoted, and she is still the only one with her rank (the highest in our guild).
Yeah, they can still damage you while Determined. Best to just stay as far away as possible or lure them away.
I’ve just been farming the very first boss of T1. I’ve done it on ele and necro, and both work very nicely. I’d imagine most any class, especially ones with lots of access to blinds and good single-target damage, could easily do it.
You can still join a group on another version of the map via party join. But yeah, other than guild missions, there isn’t really a reason to guest anymore.
It looks like they were possibly just standing right on the edge of his world’s safe zone (hence the Determined buff on his bar).
How dare anet give us an exotic weapon and let us choose any (well, almost any) stats we want for it? Those meanies.
No, it just put you on the megaserver that is more likely to have people on your friends list/in your guild. The megaserver system does that. So, you’re guesting onto the other server, but you’re still on the same map.
If you choose to guest onto another server, you’re guesting on it.
I’d go with either P3 or P1, and try to make sure you have at least one person who knows what they’re doing.
Yes..it says 0 charges as it should for dyes and as I said in my first post when I click apply i see the colors change in the hero panel but when i close that the actual armor colors are still default. When I open the hero panel the colors there are set at default again as well.
I put in a support ticket yesterday and so far that hasn’t done me any good.
Generally speaking, it takes up to 72 hours to get a response to a ticket. So, just be patient. They’ll get back to you.
When you change armor skins or dyes, a prompt appears on the right hand side of the panel telling you how many transmutation charges the change will cost and asking you to Apply or Reset the change. Are you clicking Apply before closing the panel?
If that’s not the issue, put in a support ticket and see if they can help.
