A big part of it right now is the daily bug that many players are experiencing. Since their “daily timer” doesn’t reset, they can’t get full dungeon rewards, including the token amounts.
I know Melandru never had it (or at least hasn’t had it for quite a while). I’m not sure about Arah.
Our guild had the same problem Saturday. We successfully finished our Challenge, Puzzle, and Rush. However, only the Challenge was marked as “completed”, and so we only got the merits for that mission.
Not only that, but you can’t combine armor with weapons anymore…
“allowing for more variation in output” my kitten …You’ve never been able to combine exotic armor with exotic weapons in the forge.
Incorrect.
You just haven’t been able to for a good long while. Quite a few months… possibly a year.
Oh yeah, you’re right. You could for a period of time. But yeah. It’s been at least a year since you could do that.
Not only that, but you can’t combine armor with weapons anymore…
“allowing for more variation in output” my kitten …
You’ve never been able to combine exotic armor with exotic weapons in the forge. You can still combine rare, masterwork, and fine armor with weapons.
Today i saw they also nerfed the ‘join in’ button. This whole thing is rediculous for bosses like tequatl, wurm and karka queen. Even at this horrible hour, i could try join in a bit later, but that’s also history. This whole thing is a huge letdown, i realy hope they listen to their players on this matter… This is not fun and has imo no advantages at all. Why so stubborn :’(.
The “Join In” button has worked fine for me on megaserver maps, as well as non-megaserver maps. The only time it won’t work is if you’re trying to guest onto a Main map (a non-mega map) and try to join someone else via “Join in”, and that’s not a new thing.
I agree with Stooperdale. I’d rather see a new dungeon than another revamp of an existing one. Adding “hard mode” options for certain paths at a later date would be cool, but right now I think their efforts would be better spent going towards new content.
Well, if the level 35 (note: 35, not technically 80) dungeon is too easy for you, go do the level 70-80 dungeons. They’re not too difficult, with the exception of parts of Arah, but they’re more level 80 material than a level 35 dungeon will be.
I think it wouldn’t hurt to have the “bags of wondrous goods” or whatever they’re called drop three tokens each, like in the exp paths. It’d help introduce the token system/which tokens you’d get from explorable. I don’t think a bonus amount should be given, though.
Well, after five days of doing things with the new timer, here’s how I feel:
The “easier” world boss events schedule is mostly fine. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have to wait so long to grab certain bosses, but I can usually manage to catch each one within the 24 hour period.
However, the schedule for the “mega” bosses is just awful. With the old way I could almost always manage to squeeze in a Tequal and Wurm run every day. Now, I just don’t even try because they spawn at such odd times for me. :\
A couple of days ago someone (or some persons) stayed at/near Grenth almost all day long (on CD), just silently defending it to keep it from opening again. To make it worse, this was before they changed it to where you could get that Trait by doing the defense event, as well. Trolls love to troll.
Edge of the Mists. Join a zerg there, and just farm the karma train. All the events give you the karma, and the champs will also give you boxes that can contain the skill point consumables. Throw on an XP booster to get some extra XP from kills to get you more skill points, too.
A guild mate suggests fully logging out of the game a couple of minutes before reset. A couple of minutes after the reset time, log back in. This worked for him tonight and last night, anyway. So maybe give it a try at the next reset.
I’ve done Grenth four times over the past day or two, and every time the shades have been doing this. The stacks of corruption quickly add up, and you die once they reach 25. No downed state; straight to death. This definitely wasn’t the case before the big patch.
What Stars said. Reset them at your hero panel from any location.
They said that low population zones would be the first to have the megaserver. And MM is pretty low population, so that makes sense.
Yeah. Still not working.
We’re unable to finish the Shadow Behemoth on CD because the 13 portals in the swamp (for the pre) are invulnerable.

Sharing credit for certain missions doesn’t always work. The challenges are the ones that most frequently won’t let two or more guilds share credit for completion.
Yeah, that’s just what happens when the Melandru event chain is completed.
Yeah, I’ve noticed this, too. Like you said, it’s not every time. Usually it’ll be every other time I come out of it. It’s pretty bad sometimes.
So even I make a male I can still have the same colors?
Yes, as long as you unlock those dyes on your character.
And the dark red is possibly Oxblood.
I was thinking it was midnight red… hmmm
Oooh, you may be right.
And I was thinking more Mithril for the silver. But some armors might have white looking that way.

And the dark red is possibly Oxblood.
You have to dye it those colors if you want it to look exactly like that . . .
What Red Queen said. There are traits, utility skills, and even food to grant you the Vigor boon and/or faster Endurance Regen. Some classes have better traits and skills for it than others. I believe there is also a sigil that helps you regen endurance.
There’s a fourth in CoE story, btw.

Check the side bar for instance lockouts. Guest, done easypeesy.
I’m pretty sure the OP used a site to see if any servers had it open. The issue was that none of them could guest to an open server.
For the love of god, please put in something like this. I have a whole row in my bank of boosters I never use.
Are you sure you’re getting credit for the battery phases? Three of the “bonus chests” you get for doing Tequatl are actually for finishing the battery defense phases. You have to actually kill a couple of things to get credit for those.
One of the bonus chests (the one with the guaranteed rare/exotic and dragonite ore) is for participating in a successful run. You should get that as long as you’re participating, either in defense or in attacking Tequatl, in the event.
There’s also a possibility that you’re just not noticing the bonus chest, since you have four mini chests appearing on your screen if you participate fully.
It’s some weird bug that SOMETIMES happens when you try to gather while in combat. I’ve had it happen with unlimited tools, as well as with the normal t6 node tools.
Nah, wvw should stay part of the legendary process. I understand your frustration, though. My server has been Red for close to two months now against a server on Green that pretty much holds the stuff in its area constantly.
If you listened to the live stream from 4/9/14, there is NO WAY T6 mats are going to drop in value. Node farming is now randomized on each instance of a zone. You think vicious claws, powerful blood and ancient bone is expensive now, wait two weeks when gw2nodes.com cannot show you anything. Farming is going to be hunt and peck.
What? Bone, blood, claws, etc. don’t drop from resource nodes. People wouldn’t use gw2nodes to get those; that was only good for getting orichalcum, ancient saplings, and plants.
Yes, they said that since the monthlies are changing (pvp and pve being put in the same monthly category), we’ll only have to finish two to complete this month’s monthly. If you wait until after the 15th to do your monthly, you’ll have to do four, I believe.
I’m pretty sure Rhendak isn’t a world boss. He’s a boss for the mini-dungeon Flame Temple Tombs, and he has a loot chest that you can open after he’s dead.
Just look at the LFG in-game. Most of the time the seller(s) will be at the final boss and will have the people buying the run join the party, enter, then pay. Then you’ll port to the waypoint closest to the end boss and kill it as a group. So, it’s recommended you at least have a general idea as to how the final boss fight works for the path you’re buying. But some sellers might do things slightly differently, so make sure you read the LFG posting.
Obviously, you run the risk of having your money taken and then being kicked out and blocked before getting the reward. That’s not the norm, from what I hear, but it can happen. So, be careful.

You could have all guested to one server and opened it together pretty quickly. I realize it’s not terribly convenient, but you could have done it.
Currently there’s no way to track it in-game. :\
1 – Guardian (the mass heal)
2 – Warrior (vengeance is so great)
3 – Ele
4 – Necro
5 – Ranger
6 – Thief
7 – Mesmer
8 – Engineer
I’ve sometimes had to go back to the Chantry of Secrets a second time for the exp reward to come. Just in case, go back there, and go back to that upper room. If you don’t get the reward after leaving that instance, then yeah, email support.
Ah, I get what you’re saying now. Yeah, that is pretty weird, especially if you don’t have a downed penalty.
If you want to insult the dungeons, that’s cool. Do what you do. But why bother posting the insults in the form of a disingenuous question?
Your combat log shows you got hit by Leap four times, for around 4k each. That’s over your max HP.
Things like that have happened when the game has seen rollbacks. I, and a good number of other people, lost dungeon tokens, drops, and gold made from activities done during a certain period time. This went on for at least a few days, with every night experiencing a game crash of some sort and then a rollback for many people. However, this was several months ago, and I’ve not heard of such an issue since then.
Your friends really need to submit support tickets, if they haven’t already.
Oh. Well, I was confused, then, by this screenshot showing the Red-letter notice for Ascended recipes. Must be some other kind of Ascended recipes.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Ascended-Recipe-Bug-or-by-design/first#post3848247
That particular recipe in the screenshot is for the ascended inscription, which is the one that costs 21k karma.
There isn’t a red alert notice on it. However, I’m pretty sure you have to buy the recipe every time you make a new weapon or armor piece, even if you’ve already bought the same one before. That’s why there’s no notice.
I definitely think the wvw maps should count towards map completion. However, the way the many of the current wvw match-ups tend to go ends with a large chunk of the wvw maps being inaccessible to the losing servers. For example: CD (and NSP, to be fair) has been against HoD for weeks now. HoD has a lot more people on constantly, making it difficult for our smaller wvw population to hold things, let alone take much in their territory. So, unless we actually get a new match-up, anyone who doesn’t have stuff constantly held is kind of SOL. Luckily, we’ll have new servers next week due to the season, and hopefully those who have missed out will have a chance.
So does this mean that a guild could in theory do a world boss train? Meaning they can just spawn the bosses whenever they are done with the previous one and move on to the next one?
If that’s the case, at least make a long CD on the activation so they can’t be spammed.
They can only spawn the three mega bosses. So yes, in theory, they could queue up three of the consumables over time, and then use them back to back (if the normal map spawn time isn’t about to come up). But it’s something they’d have to prepare for by creating the consumable.
