I really don’t get the whole thief stealth thing for path 1 basement. It isn’t even that fast now compared to a group cleaning the mobs due to the April update where every low level dungeon had become a joke for DPS teams.
That’s how I feel, too. Honestly, until I started PUGing CM p1, I didn’t even know people just skipped that part/let a thief solo it. It always just went so fast with my guild groups. But after some of the PUGs I’ve been with recently, I can understand why people want someone to solo it.
As khani said, you’ll have to buy the recipe for the armor piece you’re making.

I do Tequatl a few times a week with TTS, and I’ve also done it quite a few times with random maps that simply won by listening to those of us who knew what to do. It’s not impossible to beat, but it does take practice and cooperation from people.

Ok. The champ train bags were designed as an appropriate reward for starter chars killing them, not fully rigged level 80s killing them ez mode on an endless loop. They are appropriate for the zone and the expected level killing them. Don’t be expecting ANet to cater to level 80s getting a bunch of them while neglecting level appropriate content.

My favorite part of pugging CM is when the group decides to stack in one spot for Sure Shot Seamus in p3.
One tattic i use is hug the house wall, agro them there and apply smoke screen for blinds, pistol whip to clean adds, hope an ele drops fg, then when ss is over start “dancing to stay behind”. drops lots of HP from boss and seem “pug safe”.
Definitely. That works nicely if you have a thief in your group who doesn’t keep SR on his utilities at all times and uses it as a healing method during fights. Sadly, I’ve seen more of that than I have successful meleeing of Seamus from pugs.

ele seems to take aggro from a lot of mobs, Tazza included.
other examples – lupi phase 3 (tossup between ele, guard – though ele normally takes aggro), COE golem (and the trash mob golems laser eles in my experience)
I’ve noticed this, too, from watching ele guildies take hella agro from the CoE golem (specifically) and a few other things.
I’ve never had an instance where she solely targeted me. Have you tried fighting her in melee (or as close to melee as you can manage)? Maybe she does target based on distance.
Did you type “2 Limited-Use Vigil Megalaser Finishers”? Or did you just type “Limited-Use Vigil Megalaser Finisher”? I ask because when it comes to stacks of items, you do have to type out the number to destroy them.

As long as you can get one escort to Rally Waypoint, you can still take the temple. But it’s ridiculous that two out of three have been this bugged for this long.
I don’t think the second skill slot opens until level 10. But I’m not 100% sure.
As for the pink thing, yes, you choose your glow when you make your character or when you use a total makeover kit. And since it only happens sometimes, it sounds like you’re just seeing your glow when it’s supposed to show up (which is night time).
As Stin said, you can only get the big chest once per day per character. So, try switching to a character that hasn’t already done the events since the last reset.
Yeah, that’s not a bug, unfortunately.

I’m not sure that this is a bug. And it’s been in the game as long as I can recall, I believe.

For the aetherblade JP and obsidian sanctum (the only two JPs I really get portals for), I usually tip 1 or 2g. If you can’t spare a gold or two, just tip what you can, if you feel so inclined.
Yeah, this event is never working properly when I’m in that area. Not a single time, since launch. I’m sure it’s worked at some point, but I’ve never been around to see it.

If you’re going to do dungeons efficiently, you’re going to have to be more flexible and learn more about your other weapon options. You really need to be at least competent with each weapon your class can use. GS does have its uses, especially if you’re not comfortable with always being in melee right now. But sword does so much more damage, and it even gives you an attack that lets you go invulnerable WHILE you’re hitting for decent damage. So, I’d suggest having GS for one of your weapons, and then having sword in your main hand for your other set. Your offhand weapon for that set is up to you (I prefer focus, generally). Having a range set and a melee set both equipped will let you be able to jump from range to melee, while still doing damage in both instances.
Yup, I’d just recommend having them start getting zerker trinkets, and then zerker weapons. If they decide to do a new set of armor for dungeons, you could recommend Valkyrie, Knight, or Cavalier if they’re worried about survivability. Also, if gold is an issue, start taking them through CoF and CoE for those tokens, since those both have zerker stat armor/weapons.
It just got one shot again in two different overflows. Even when asking mesmers not to use feedback. Sometimes shooting the projectiles is the first thing the wurm does and no one can tag it to get credit.
I’d recommend just not bringing it up at all and hoping no one else brings it up. Bringing it up tends to trigger the curiosity of those mesmers who don’t know about it, making them try it; or it triggers the troll in other mesmers, making them want to use it.

Anyway for sure its an op way to stack vulnerability but it’s a terrible obstacle to the condi removal from Plague Blast.

Had you already completed those maps before they added the new POI and WP in those two zones? If you had, you don’t get a second reward for getting them.
- When Unyielding Blast is traited, Underwater DeathShroud 1 applies vulnerability to yourself as well as the mob
- Your 2 stacks of vulnerability are then transfered to the mob, giving the mob double the intended stacks of vuln; the mob can have 25 stacks of vuln within five or six hits
- I’ve only noticed this post-patch
Challenges can only be done for credit by one guild at a time…so, while there might be some cooperation between guilds, each guild still has to activate and do the challenge.
That’s not completely true. Certain challenges DO allow piggybacking credit. Save Our Supplies and the Southsun Crab challenge are two that I know, without a doubt, give credit. However, other ones do not let you share. Deep Trouble, for example, is like that.

The champ train in Queensdale, and in Frostgorge Sound, isn’t new, though. They’ve been there for months and months now. The megaserver didn’t bring them out. I agree that they can be a real problem, though.

It sounds like you’re talking about champ trains, not world bosses.
It could be a couple of things.
1. You could actually be getting the kills with your offhand weapon instead of your main hand one.
2. You could be not actually getting credit for kills on the elites or champions, due to either the nature of the event or just the fact that you didn’t do “enough damage”.
3. You could have sigils that are conflicting with eachother.
4. It could just be bugged/broken.
I think the Ancient Karka would be a far more challenging event than the current Karka Queen. Plus, we’d actually be able to attack and see what we’re doing this time. 
Yeah, I have no intention of making ascended armor (or anymore ascended weapons). I keep about four stacks of each of the three mats in my bank. I delete the rest, except when I occasionally make toxic focusing crystals (since that uses the bloodstone dust). I’ve lost count of how many stacks of the stuff I’ve deleted.
Yeah, it’s definitely bugged. This happened to it often for months after launch, too.
Yeah. This has been stuck like this for days now, and the only way around it is to flood the map to pop a new version. The escort that’s bugged is the Northern Invasion, and they’re actually stuck AT the temple (in the south). So, it’s pretty broken and needs a reset.
I had this happen to me, too. I got it to work by just running in an out of the little area where the first time is, specifically running into the right side of the entrance to the area.
Also add some baroque and rococo dresses. It would be so amazing on my Mesmer!

The “Mending Boots” share the same skin as the boots from the Stalker armor set, and the skin is named “Stalker” in the Wardrobe.
What inculpatus said. Make sure they’re not currently in an invisible bag or safe box.
I think part of why they took out the Personality thing is because one was named “Ferocity”. Since they added the “Ferocity” stat, that might cause some confusion if they kept the Personality Ferocity in. Maybe it’ll come back at a later time. However, it was mostly a pointless thing. It didn’t affect your gameplay in any way, other than giving you a different way of saying things to NPCs (and those options are still there).
Yeah, you still choose a personality type when you create a character and have the personality response options in Personal Story and such, but it’s otherwise removed from your hero panel. I think part of it is because the “angry” personality type (the one with the image of a fist) was called “Ferocity”. With the addition of the “Ferocity” stat, they were probably just trying to avoid confusion and (at least temporarily) took out the personality traits.
Half of our missions were bugged last week. Most people got their personal rewards, but we didn’t get merit for two of them.
That’s why you have to be very, very careful to not burn him too hard in the first two burn phases.
Have you tried pulling mobs over to him to kill him? Or all waypointing back to the beginning of the dungeon to see if he follows?
I have the trait that inflicts vulnerability when you use Deathshroud 1. I noticed just now that if I use DS 1 underwater, the vulnerability gets placed onto me instead of the mob.
