The only way to get ascended gear is by crafting or as a drop from champ boxes, world boss chests, fractals, and things like that. You’ll never get ascended by forging exotics.
Keep an eye on map bonus rewards for Cursed Shore and Frostgorge (and any other high level maps). When it’s a charged lodestone week, farm events in that zone. You could also try getting groups for CoE, since every boss chest has a chance to drop a charged lodestone or charged core. You can also make a point to do the Dwayna temple once a day on each character; the boss chest for that event has a chance to drop charged cores or lodestones. I believe Lyssa has a chance, as well. And, as usual, you could just farm gold to buy the mats you need.
You can buy the ale on the Trading Post. No need to wait for the broken event. If you need the trinket, you’re kind of out of luck.
It definitely wasn’t an exploit. It was just convenient for the lazy side of us all. And yes, the stack of boxes were removed. But you can still stand in a “safe spot” to attack it if you have far enough range.
No, there is no way to block players from sending you mail.
Delete/close the second ticket, and wait for their response. That’s all you can do, really. And also remember that anytime you add an upgrade to an item, you are binding it to your account or character.

I thought I’d bump this since I have a very similar question about LFG.
I assume something like 2,12,50 refers to Fractals that the group wants to do, but what does “P1 Exp” mean?
‘Exp’ could mean ‘experience points’ (wanting to earn XP) or ‘experienced’ (asking for someone who knows the content) but I can’t figure what P1 is (I’ve seen several ‘P’ numbers).
“P1 Exp” = Path 1 Explorable Mode. Every dungeon has a Story Mode and then multiple “paths” (versions of the dungeon) of Explorable Mode. So, if you see someone posting “P1 Exp”, they’re looking for a group for Path 1 of some dungeon (and likely posting their LFG post in the Open World section instead of the proper section).

The boots are probably AC light.
Is it an instance where you are alone, or will you suffer load time for many people hanging around there?
It’s just a sectioned off part of the map it’s in (DR for Royal Terrace and Gendarran Fields for the Airship). You’re still in those maps and will be in the same ship as anyone else there at the time, so it’s basically like loading a after clicking on a waypoint.
The only difference is the location and look of each area. They both have access to the same amenities (crafting stations, TP, bank, mystic forge, laurel vendor, repair vendor, guild npcs, various merchants).
Edit: I do think the airship has a daily activity npc while the terrace does not, however.
If you want to get a refund (or, if I might suggest, have support help you figure out why your game doesn’t work), you have to contact support. We can’t help you. http://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
Nah. Definitely not this year.
All non-ascended karma armor/weapon/accessory items are soulbound on acquire. It’s been that way for as long as I can remember, and I don’t see them changing it anytime soon.
Karma accessories are not souldbound on acquire. They are soulbound on equip.
Ah, I haven’t bought karma accessories in so long, so I didn’t know/remember that.

*Copy all the [&Bwhatever] codes in a txt
*Save that txt
*Create a squad ingame
*Ctrl+C list from the txt
*Ctrl+V list in squad chat

Similar to that: If you’re in a small or private guild, copy the chat codes & names and paste into your guild MOTD, and then copy/paste codes into chat as needed.
Anet stores it all inside the Super Adventure Box.
I swear this is definitely a glob of ectoplasm! Go ahead and accept the trade.
Which armor did you buy, out of curiosity? Because if you did buy skins, you do indeed get a free application the first time you use it.
Edit: ALthough, I do believe you don’t get the free application if you choose to “Store in wardrobe” before using said free application.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
Once an item is unlocked in your wardrobe, there’s no way for you to delete it. However, do keep in mind that if you bought armor skins, you’ll be losing your one free application of the skin if you delete the actual item. The skin will still be in your wardrobe though.

There’s some great info here. Thanks for this!
There’s a reason why the entrance prompt says “Recommended Players: 5”.
RoseofGilead: While the Lunar festival may mirror, or have elements of Chinese culture, the in-game origin is Canthan.
Yes, I’m very aware of that. Cantha and their Dragon Festival, while obviously based around various Asian cultural things, had their own flair about them. GW1 has Canthan New Year, which also draws from Chinese New Year. And the GW2 Lunar New Year is most definitely based on Chinese New Year.
(edited by RoseofGilead.8907)
Dragon ball/bash has no ties to anything.
I’m not agreeing with OP here, but the Lunar Festival is based on the Chinese New Year.
Anet should unlock these things and let us decide what works and what doesn’t even though that would take a hell of a lot of work and would likely require a reworking of how each armor piece works, thus taking part of the team off of more important parts of the game so that our warriors can wear skirts and slippers.
Fixed that for you.

Yes, you can purchase more slots IF you have bought the game. If you’re Free To Play, you only get 2. But if you’ve bought the game (either the base game alone or HoT), you’ll start off with 5 slots (except for certain HoT versions that give you a bonus slot). You can buy additional slots (on paid accounts) on the gem store, and you can have up to 70 characters on a single account.
Well, they’ll all be pricey just because of the ascended mats needed. But I would guess that Forgemaster’s would be one of the cheaper options, since it uses Rampager (which needs powerful venom sacs, which are cheap).
Haha, I’m glad I could help.
As Behellagh said, you need at least one level 80 character, and you can’t start gliding until you begin masteries (which requires doing the first little bit of the HoT story).
Like I said, there is a cap on how much AP you can get from dailies. A lifetime cap. Check your AP to see if you’ve reached it.
There’s a dev post on this issue in this thread. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Unable-to-continue-Charr-personal-story/first#post5963616
There’s a cap on how much AP you can get from dailies. You probably just hit that cap.
Are you sure you’re in the correct version of the instance? There’s the story instance version (which you’d enter by going to the glowing green star and interacting with the prompt with the story title), and then there’s the normal version (which would pop up anytime you’d go to the entrance).
In-game bug reports won’t get responses. You need to create a support ticket if you want help from Anet. http://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
I realize this doesn’t fix the bugged event issue, but you can get the waypoint without going inside that room (or inside any part of the island). Just swim along the glass on the outside of the island.
I did the chapter on my own I had to help skritt kill a destroyer queen for the vigil I went through the whole chapter now I have to get to level 60 in order to go to chapter 6 did I miss something?
That’s not the living story. You’re currently doing the Personal Story. Living Story (specifically Season 2) is the story that happens after GW2 PS and before HoT PS. You have to buy the Living Story Season 2 episodes on the gem store now to play through them.
It sounds like you wandered into a god statue AOE and got the debuff from it. Either that or you encountered a bug no one else has ever seen, in which case it should be reported.
The game time is on February 1st already (reset was a few hours ago). So, that’s why the February brew is out now. And, as far as I know, you can’t get past brews if you missed the time period in which it was distributed. :\
You can, 11 months from now.
Essentially it’s a system which encourages you do login at least 1nce per month for 12 months straight.
Yeah, that.

You know you were in the wrong because you feel guilty about it. However, you shouldn’t beat yourself up about it too much. It’s not like you got a refund you wouldn’t have already gotten. If it’s really eating at you, you can always update your support ticket and fess up about the deletion lie.
I preferred Elona to Cantha. Kaineng City was my absolute least favorite part of all of GW1. It was awful. However, the Echovald Forest is one of my favorite areas of any game I’ve played. And the Jade Sea was lovely to look at, too.
The class diversity of the wardens was pretty good gameplay too.
Definitely. You saw that with some of the other mob groups throughout the campaigns, and I always enjoyed it.
Are you both playing on the same server region (EU or NA)? If one is on EU and the other NA, you won’t be able to play together. If you’re both on the same region and both on the same game update version, then I’m not sure what the issue could be.

Sorry for hijacking your thread man, but would someone please tell me what armor skins those are? Looks freaking sweet.
Grenth hood skin
Deathly shoulder skin
Trickster chest
Trickster legs
Illustrious boots
I’m not sure about the gloves right now, though.
I’d love to see a change back towards how it used to be. However, Anet doesn’t want to encourage people to play dungeons anymore (they said so directly). So, I wouldn’t expect any buff to dungeons, in any way, shape, or form.
I thought Diamond Skin prevented conditions from being applied to you when your health is above the threshold. It wouldn’t be meant to remove conditions at all if that’s the case.
Edit: Ah, I see now that it was changed. There’s probably an internal cooldown at play, as well as specific conditions for what it means to be “struck” (since you have to be struck in order to have it remove a condition).

Uh, this is a dead thread from two years ago. You’d be better off just making a whole new thread about your topic.
Left Alt+Click does set a personal waypoint. Ctrl+Click auto-sends it in chat. So, make sure you’re not holding down Ctrl or right Alt. Also note that you can’t set a personal waypoint directly on a known POI or Waypoint; you have to do it slightly off of it.
A vast majority of outfits are gem store only. The only two I can think of that aren’t are the Royal Guard Outfit (reward for accounts created before August 29th of last year) and the Hexed Outfit (bought with candy corn during Halloween).
