That was an image Daniel Dociu submitted for Into The Pixel. It’s not related to GW2 at all. :p And I definitely don’t see Anet going in that direction for any part of the game, honestly.
Here’s an interview he did on the piece. http://www.intothepixel.com/Daniel-Dociu-2013.asp
i would not say that so fast . i gotten 2 key,s today from doing personal story and in the last month i gotten a number of key,s from doing personal stories . so i would say it has not one thing at all to do with this rng stuff you talk about what ever it is .
As someone else already said, the PS rewards are completely different from map completion rewards. You are guaranteed a key for completing specific PS chapters. You are never guaranteed a key for map completion; you have the chance of a transmutation charge or a key in non-city maps. To sum up: PS rewards aren’t RNG; map completion rewards are.
RNG is RNG. There was no nerf; you just had a luckier streak a few weeks ago than you’re having now.
You can only make one charged quartz crystal per day. You do this by taking 25 quartz crystals into your inventory, going to a place of power (a hero point that you channel), and interacting with the hero point.
You get globs of ectoplasm by breaking down rares and exotics over level 67. You should only use a Master Salvage kit (or its equivalent versions: Mystic Salvage Kit and Silver Fed Salvage-O-Matic) or a Black Lion Salvage kit to try to get ectos.
Making any ascended armor is more time consuming and expensive than making exotic armor, yes.

Any attack/weapon skill that requires a targeted mob won’t work on the diorama pieces. You have to use AOE skills (guardian staff 1, necro/chrono wells, warrior cleave attacks, shouts that do AOE damage, ele AOE attacks, etc.).

That’s not true. They still count. Go back and re-count your achievements under the meta, keeping in mind that Grawnk Munch and Generous Harvest don’t count towards it; your JP/bell/snowball mayhem ones will still be counted (assuming you’d already completed it once).
“My name is Elmer J. Fudd, millionaire. I own a mansion and a yacht.”
“Hail Hydra.”
I’m not saying you didn’t see the presents explode that way. I’m saying that I’ve also farmed this JP (this year and last year), usually alternating paths to keep it from being too boring, and I’ve NEVER noticed any difference in the behavior of the presents based on which path I took.
1. I doubt it’d be re-sellable, but I can’t say for sure because I haven’t used one.
2. The shoulders are a shoulder item; they won’t be visible when you’re wearing an outfit because outfits cover your entire armor. The Ghostly Infusion is just an Infusion, so I would THINK it’d work even with an outfit. But, again, I don’t own it so I can’t say for sure.
The gifts explode based on both their own timing and on when a player (any player) first jumps onto them. The path you took to get to the presents doesn’t factor into it at all.
Nope.
It’s happening for all of the Wintersday activities. Usually, just retrying a few seconds later will get you in.
I didn’t notice any change, but that’s probably because I don’t have any pvp-specific hot keys set up. However, my 7 key on the number row doesn’t work, so I end up missing those notes anytime they come up during songs. So, that’s fun.
Edit: After checking my settings again, I saw that my 7 key was (for some reason) assigned to be my Auto Loot key. Yay for random changes to your settings?

As you already saw above, your friend has a WP in Queensdale. But she will have to reach level 10 before she can enter DR.
What new mode are you talking about? There isn’t any new looting mode. Double check your settings in-game.
There are only a few (two that I can think of, off-hand) outfits that you get outside of the gem store. One was a reward for veteran players who’d bought the game before a specific time earlier this year. The other is a Halloween vendor item you could buy for candy corn cobs. All the others are gem store only, as far as I know.
My husband got the breather from his first batch of presents after the patch earlier today. So, yup, it still drops. And I hate my husband a little bit for getting the item I never got last year . . .
Check your settings.
The only way to get scraps/tickets is to open Black Lion Chests by buying keys on the gem store. You can also get the keys from random mobs, but it’s a very, very rare drop rate. And there are a few personal story chapters and achievements that give you one.
You can’t even do it again if you did it last year.
I totally agree. I paid for the game and I expect clear info. Or at least a clear info that they don’t know something. I know it’s not “normal” for companies to admit they don’t know something but I’d appreciate that 100 times more than NOT having any info…
“Hey everybody! We moved Christmas! Not sure for when, but you’re gonna wait for your presents a bit longer this year! Take care!”
Yeah, except they haven’t “moved” anything; it’s just not in yet . . .
Why do people not get that 9am is usual time?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates
They finish patch, wait to push it in morning so they have a full work day to fix things.
I don’t care if its delayed but I care that people don’t get there is a usual time for the bi-weekly patch. What part of, you’re just wrong don’t you get ?
Not all updates have come at 9am. In fact many more have come out just passed noon pst or even later.
This. For every patch that has come out around 9am PST there is a patch that was delayed for 2+ hours. There have even been a few that were delayed so much they came out at the end of the day for me.
Welp, I don’t know how much I can rely on GW2 timer but it has changed 50 minutes ago and now shows that Wintersday comes in a bit less than 2 weeks… :/
And it’s a late evening where I am. I’ll see what happens around 1a.m. my time, usually something happens then. But I don’t like how there’s no info on the event.
I wouldn’t use gw2timer as a news source. And yeah, it’s around 1am your time, but it’s only 9am at Anet’s offices right now. So, yeah. Just gotta wait.
I glided over to him from whatever cliff/tree/tall structure was directly across from him. Basically, though, you just need to find a way to glide in front of him until it triggers.
The patch will be out today, as was announced on the official forums, website, etc. There is NEVER a scheduled time for patches, and that’s the case because sometimes stuff happens and delays happen. Thus, they don’t have an official release time to avoid the “Omg you guys didn’t put the patch up on time”. So, nothing was “moved” or changed; it’s just not in yet.
As your UI says, you have to glide past him to get him to notice you. Once you’ve glided close enough to him, you’ll be able to talk to him.
The Flamekissed Armor Skin was never an outfit; it was always six separate armor skins. And, if you hadn’t transmuted another two skins over those skins, it SHOULD have unlocked in your Wardrobe once the Wardrobe patch went in. I find it very odd that it didn’t. But regardless, it looks like you got the skins back, so yay for that.
Costumes are Outfits/Outfits are Costumes. As I said above: Outfits are permanently shown, if you have them selected to show (Hero Panel > Equipment > Outfits). The Outfit you select will show even if you change your armor.
You have to talk to a bank npc or interact with a crafting station to access your bank. If you have the Golem Banker (gem store item/account boost item) or the Bank Access Express (black lion chest drop/daily black lion reward/achievement point chest/gem store) consumables, those will open your bank for you from anywhere.
Outfits are permanently shown, if you have them selected to show (Hero Panel > Equipment > Outfits). Armor (which is what you’re talking about, I believe) changes when you put on items with different skins. You can Transmute the appearance of another skin (as long as it’s already unlocked in your Wardrobe) onto your new armor, though. But you’ll have to do this every time you get a new/better piece of armor, so you might just want to hold off on Transmuting until you’re set in your armor.
Are you binding the items to yourself or salvaging them? They won’t unlock unless you do that.
What are you doing to unlock them?
It’s that way for everyone. I got the achievement by purposely triggering both sets of traps, killing the mobs that spawn after triggering, and then running to the end room (where Taimi is).
Didn’t they nerf the mobs in FGS? I remember Kodan being demoted from Champ to Vet.
No, the champs are still champs. They “nerfed” the champ train by making all champs into events, and they made Fish/Kodan/Norn into one big event that only happens every half hour(ish). But that change went in quite a while ago.

As far as I know, there is no bug. If you can’t interact with the door, it’s day time.
Have you tried activating the Hidden Arcana Living Story Chapter, going into the instance, and dancing for the statue inside there?
it is starting today on gw1 for all those interested in it while you wait at 12 pm pacfic 3 pm eastern. an looking forward to it on tuesday here!
Today? I thought it was the 19th?
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s the 19th.
Reaper, Druid, Scrapper, and Berserker. I only use Reaper and Berserker, though.
Correct, those are your only options. Honestly, a necro doesn’t need vitality, generally speaking. We’re pretty darn tanky already, and we have Death Shroud as a second health pool of sorts. If you want a condi necro with Expertise, go with Viper. If you’re truly worried about your ability to survive, you can use trinkets with either Vitality or Toughness.
That’s not really a bug. That’s The Shatterer, who is constantly “flying” around in the sky in Blazeridge Steppes, as well as for story instances set inside of that map.
You won’t be able to sell anything with Minstrel stats because they’re account bound on acquire.
As was already said, you have to manually change the tools to Account Bound; it wasn’t an automatic change.
And the Order backpacks are definitely Soulbound on Acquire. It’s the fully upgraded versions that are Account Bound (since they’re Ascended).
Outside of specific events in various zones, there really isn’t any such place.
You get those the same way you get the celestial armor/weapons: craft them. You’ll have to buy the recipes for them (for the jewelry pieces and for the exquisite charged quartz jewel) on the TP.
You can also buy Ascended celestial trinkets for laurels/pristine fractal relics/guild commendations from the respective vendors. The laurel vendors sell everything (amulets, rings, and earrings/accessories). The guild commendation vendor sells earrings/accessories. The Fractals vendor sells rings.
First of all: If you’re wanting a specific weapon type from the forge, don’t use a Mystic Forge Stone. Tossing in three staves and a forge stone is the same as tossing in three staves and a sword (or any other weapon); your result will be one of any possible weapon rather than only a staff.
As for your question, I’d think about it in terms of how much use your weapon will get. Legendaries (like Ascended gear) are account bound and can be passed between all of your characters. So if you play several classes that use greatsword, and if you use that weapon on those classes often, then go with Twilight. If your characters use staff more often than greatsword, then go with the staff.
OP: Have you played through the EOTN story or bought the tapestries needed for you to add Heroes/Pets to that particular monument?
The Monument of Fellowship is generally more about hero armour than the hero themself. Do you have heroes upgraded with their alternate armour sets? Because that’s what you need, but I’m getting the impression you think you just need the hero by itself to get the points.
This is true for all heroes except for MOX (the one he seems to be trying to add in his screenshot). MOX comes fully upgraded as soon as you unlock him as a hero, and so you can add him as soon as you have a tapestry.
I got dark matter from an exo I salvaged yesterday. So, yeah, just bad luck.
We haven’t seen it in over a year because it’s basically broken. It’ll have to be re-done before it can be playable in the game as it is now.
