It’s just . . . awful. I told a guildie of mine that it looks like what happens when a Charr and a Norn get together, get drunk, and design a set of armor.
Gliding 1-3; you don’t need 3 most of the time, but it can make certain areas easier to reach.
Itzel 1-4; you can get through most of it with just Itzel 1, but you’ll need Poison Lore (4) to get through certain areas.
Exalted 1-2
Having Nuhoch 2 can be a nice help because it lets you use Wallows to quickly get to certain places, but it’s not necessary at all.
It sounds like you don’t understand how the expansion (specifically the Mastery system) works. It would probably be more helpful for you to read about how you unlock and train Masteries (both in the HoT maps and in Tyria) than it would be to rant on the forums and blame Anet for you not understanding.
Your second, however, is probably because the stealth detection only works on Mordrem creatures. It won’t work on non-Mordrem. At least I believe that is the case; I could be wrong. That’s how it’s worked for me, anyway.
If you logged during the two week period each chapter was released, you’ll already have those chapters unlocked on your account. All you have to do to start them is press H, click on Story Journal, then Living World Season 2, and then choose to “Start this Journy” or “Continue This Journey”.
If you don’t already have the chapters unlocked, you’ll have to buy them from the gemstore.
You have to play through a chapter on a character in order to attempt to complete the achievements on that character. So, if you plan to use multiple characters for your achievements, you’ll need to play through the chapters on each one you plan to use before you can try to the achievements on those characters.
Do you happen to know if transferring from NA to EU keeps your friends from EU in your contacts list or resets it to being EU-only? It would be a nice perk if you could just be taken off everyone’s friend’s list from NA and start fresh in EU.
With my luck back then, he would have probably found out I was playing in EU and transferred just to continue harassing me, though. Some people will seriously stop at nothing, I swear. :/
I’ve never transferred between US and EU, so I’m afraid I don’t know if your friends list is kept or not.
And, sadly, you’re right; people like this will keep at it (sometimes forever).
Ahh, I see that now (that the Perfected Weapons are apparently the old skins). To answer your question, yes. Binding a Legendary will bind the precursor skins to your account, too.
Customer support will ban anyone who has a terminated account if they please. Present your case to CS. If he keep showing up with a different account, CS will basically put him on autoban each time you submit a request.
Otherwise maybe you can switch territories so you can’t physically see his character.
Unfortunately, with megaservers in place, even changing servers doesn’t do anything in terms of avoiding someone from the same region (NA, EU, etc.) as you. One would have to change from NA to EU in order to be in a completely different population, which isn’t possible. :/
That’s what Kako meant by changing territories. It is very possible to transfer to a different region (either NA or EU); you do so at the character select screen in the same window you’d use to change servers. In the upper right side of the server select window is a drop down where you choose All, America, or Europe, and you can choose an EU or US server to transfer to. You’d obviously have to pay the gems to transfer, though.
The old skins for the precursors don’t exist anymore. If you didn’t unlock them before they changed precursors, then you can’t get them anymore (at least not now).
Edit: As Danikat noted below, every weapon except for The Hunter had a “skin twin” that you could get. The Hunter, however, didn’t have one. So, there’s no way to get that old one.
That was Superior Rune of Vampirism. The 6th rune bonus used to have you go into mist form; that was changed earlier this year to “When struck below 25% health, you steal health from nearby foes. (Cooldown: 40 seconds)”.
You’d have to buy the recipe for the Viper Insignia from the Exalted Mastery Vendor in Auric Basin. Then you’d have to buy the recipe for the specific armor piece you’re wanting to make; it’s easiest to just buy those on the trading post.
Make sure you have either a lot of gold or a good chunk of mats saved up. You’re going to need a lot of leather and a fair bit of damask, and both of these are pricey. So, try to stock up on the tier 2, tier 3, tier 4, and tier 5 leathers and cloth.
As Fluffball said, GW2 is very, very alt friendly. And having multiple classes you know and can play well can be very useful in group content (both pve and pvp). So, if you want to take a break from your engi, feel free to make something new. Pretty much every class (with maybe the exception of an elementalist) will be less key-combo intense.
Have you tried gw2crafts.net? It has a shopping list of everything you’d need to buy (with current in-game prices for what you’d need to get), as well as a guide for what to make when.
Yes, you have to have at least one character in an order to buy the armor/weapons. As Belzebu said, though, the skins unlock across your entire account once you’ve bought them.
You first have to do the first couple of story instances for the Heart of Thorns story. Doing that will unlock your Masteries panel, which you can see in your Hero Panel. Once you’ve unlocked Masteries, you can go to Tyria Masteries and choose the Legendary Crafting one to start working towards it. Once you do that, go out in the world and do events/map completion/things to get experience; gaining experience in Tyria will help you train/level your Tyria Masteries.
I want to see fewer boxes within boxes within boxes this year, please. Just give me the ugly wool items; don’t make me open a box to get a box that I have to open, only to be given an item I then have to salvage before it’s usable.
I’d also like to see a new event or two tied to the festival this year. :0
After a session of opening boxes to open more boxes to salvage the contents or sell, one by one to a vendor because no one wanted that junk, I had a strong suspicion that that was rewards designed by the manufacturers of Tylenol.
I’m pretty sure you can only talk to him once you have EVERYTHING else for the collection.

I just did this yesterday, and it wasn’t bugged then. If Gerrvid is sitting on the floor and the door can’t be interacted with, then the event is currently on cooldown. Try waiting a bit or moving to a new instance. Hang around the door area until you see that you can interact with it. Once you’ve done that, head back to Gerrvid, interact with the books, and then talk to him to start the escort.
And I found a second bug for Astralaria I. Timeworn Forgotten Tablet: Attained from the Fallen Masks adventure by reaching a rank of silver or better. I got Silver, and I dind’t receive credit for that part of the collection. Opened the chest, too, just to be sure, and still no credit.
I put the question mark because I’m not sure if it’s actually bugged or if I somehow missed something. I’m trying to do Azabe Qabar Gravestone Rubbing (Take a rubbing of the ancient tablet in the Azabe Qabar, Royal Tombs in Cursed Shore). There’s nothing for me to interact with, other than the Hero Point. A couple of people on reddit said that they think they got it from the hero point, but I don’t have an option other than fusing quartz crystals or “Not right now”.
Soooo, did I miss something else here in the tomb? Or is it bugged for me?
Edit: I went and tried it on a different character, and the option to make a rubbing showed up. So, I guess it was bugged on my warrior but not on my guardian.
Getting dumped back in the SW instance is indeed buggy/weird.
You’re still in the instanced version of Silverwastes. Try relogging to get out of it. Doing so should allow you to use the portal (after you make your way over there in the actual map).
The POI is underground (note the green arrows pointing down), reached via an NPC inside the city (between the North gate area and the West gate area). The NPC will have the Adventure icon over its head, and you’ll have to have Exalted Acceptance unlocked to enter the area with the POI.
As the title said I received the World Completion reward (2 gifts of exploration) after finishing the Auric Basin map. This character definitely does not 100% map completion in Tyria (or in the new zones). So, yeah. She shouldn’t have received this.
I already reported it in-game, but I figured I’d mention it here. This is the escort with the four Priory researchers and Sage Zende. Three of the NPCs died during the first fight on the escort. After reviving the NPCs, they won’t move. They just stand there and attack Sage Zende.
