I think people are misunderstanding what “the end of zerker meta” means. It doesn’t mean nobody will run zerker, it means more sets will be used. Making “zerker” completely useless will never become reality, and it doesn’t make any sense anyway.

Yeah, there aren’t leaders anymore in normal parties. They changed it that way on purpose.

All gathering tools take the same amount of time to complete their animation. So, no one gathering tool is better than the other, with the exception of the Watchwork Mining Pick for ore (which is better because of sprockets).

I remember reading somewhere very recently that they plan to change the rarity of the gem store dyes. Right now, there are two of the Halloween dyes in the Rare set, one in Uncommon, and three in Common. Maybe they’re planning to have some gem store dyes drop (from the kits) a lot more often than others.

I’ll test it out with more kits, too.

The problem with that is the fact that charr and asura females ALWAYS get the male version of armors. They seem to get the female versions of outfits about half the time, but armors are always male (unless I’m forgetting some odd armors that aren’t). So, if they were to change one set, they’d probably need to change all of them; and that’s a lot of time to dedicate.

Honestly, I’ve wanted that bat greatsword (chirotophobia) ever since it first came out. I’ve never been lucky enough to have tickets when it’s been available, and I just don’t have the gold to be able to buy it off the TP.

Edit: Wow. I had two very nice people contact me about that greatsword skin. It seriously made my day. Thank you, both to the person who sent it and to the second person who was checking to see if I already got one. I know I already thanked you both in-game, but I just want to say it again.

This is why I absolutely despised Anet’s decision to put it down to a vote. Nearly everyone that voted for Kiel did so because of the reduced Waypoint cost.

If you don’t have the mats already saved up or the gold to buy them, then I wouldn’t worry about trying to craft today (or anytime in the next week). Focus on getting what you need the most of. With weapon and armor, you’ll need a LOT of metal. Weapon will also require a LOT of wood, and armor will require a fair bit of cloth. If you’re only leveling to 400, you’ll only need the tier 1-5 mats, which means you won’t need to worry about collecting orichalcum, ancient wood, or gossamer. So, start chopping down every tree you see, and mining every ore node you see. If you know you need a bunch of iron, look up which zones have iron nodes; do the same for the other tiers of mats you need.

If you want to farm gold, you could do fast dungeon paths every night, if you like dungeons. If you prefer doing more open world pve, you could go to Silverwastes; do events there, kill mobs, do the chest train (once you have enough bandit crests to buy some keys to open the chests). Or, if you have real life money to spend, you could buy gems and convert to gold.

Correct, it only dropped from that dungeon, and that dungeon does not exist anymore. The only way to get it is to buy it on the TP.

You mean Tomes of Knowledge? I use them anytime I’m leveling a new alt and want to reach the next milestone (level 50, 60, 70, etc.) or when I’m keyfarming.

Ahh, I see what you’re saying now. If it’s happening in the Inventory window, then yeah, that’s weird and new.

However, I can’t duplicate it. I’m standing at the bank, with the bank UI up. I have my Inventory window up over/next to it, and I’m salvaging with both unlimited use kits. My kits aren’t going to the bank. So, if that’s actually happening to people, it’s not happening to everyone.

Still, instead of letting them pile up, start making use out of them. I mean, if you have that many might as well start churning out a profit by salvaging exotics for runes and mats and selling it for more than the actual exotic, like was said above.

When I go through periods when I’m actively playing, they get used up. But I still end up with two or three left sitting there, which is fine. But when I’m on a more busy real-life period (like lately), I only really have time to log in.

Don’t get me wrong; I like knowing I have easy (sometimes too easy) access to the best salvage kits and appreciate having them when I do get to play. But I just would like to be able to stack them all on top of eachother. :p

Every time the daily log-in reward is one of the Black Lion items, I get a salvage kit. I’m running out of room for the kitten things. Please, let me stack them.

Yup, as was said above, it’s just how it works when you try to salvage an item from the bank UI. Same thing happens if you double click on any item from the Inventory side (in the bank UI). It’s been this way since launch.

So, you say that Anet only want players to buy gems to get things (ie. character slots) from the gem store. If it were truly an act of Anet only wanting player money (and not a coding/other technical issue that they’ve said is the real issue), don’t you think they would have put in a race changer on the gem store for 800+ gems?

As was already said, there’s no benefit for GW2 to go to Steam. And, while I enjoy Steam, I’m perfectly happy keeping GW2 off of it.

I had the same problem with a BL salvage kit. I had the bank open in the background while I opened my inventory to do some salvaging. The kit disappeared, but then I noticed that it was now in the bank. This is a rather annoying change in functionality.

It’s been this way since launch; it’s not new.

I was still able to jump down onto it earlier. You have to jump from the ramp, not the platform directly above the gate.

Were you using it from the Bank UI? If so, you probably accidentally put it in there. Search your bank.

I think they’re a nice addition. It’ll be less confusing once you get used to seeing the icons more often, just like how we all had to learn the icons for the base game professions and all that.

You can, as far as I know. Your friend would just have to be the one to set it up and add the code to their account. You could just forward the purchase email, with the code, to them.

The only time I’ve seen that happen is when some of the party haven’t patched, while others have.

They handed control over to you. You own the guild. However, if you can’t properly LEAD a guild, then you should consider handing over control of it. That’s my opinion, anyway.

Eh, it’ll depend on the server in question. Sometimes the lower population ones will just have next-to-no-one in wvw. That could make it either good or bad for you. But both the lower populations and higher populations have room for roamers. You could always do whatever you want.

You really could have just made a new thread.

Server population is now determined by the number of active wvw players. So, if you go on a low population server, wvw will have a low population of players.

PvE and PvP lobby are all on megaservers, however. That means that multiple servers are pulled into the same instances. So, you can be on a low population server but still have lots of people playing alongside you.

As for making gold, you could look into doing the WB train. Or you can try running the faster dungeons every day.

Yeah, I don’t see Anet adding smoking to the game.

Honestly, the solution to your problem is most likely that you overlooked something simple but necessary, or you simply need to do a relog and try again. But you won’t provide a screenshot so that we (the only people who are likely to reply to this post) can help you out. And you’ve been nothing but hostile towards others who tried to help you. So yeah, you might as well just shut down the thread and submit an actual support ticket (bug reports and forum posts aren’t support tickets).

Yup, you can. All of the gifts you need to make are going to be account bound. And, once you have those crafted, you use any character to throw it all in the forge to make your legendary.

1. Transmutation in GW2 is changing the skin of an item, not its stats.
2. Did you have to choose stats for the Ascended item you got? If you haven’t chosen any stats yet, I don’t think you’ll be able to drop it in the forge for anything.
3. Could you post a screenshot of your item in your inventory?

You’re right; we have no idea what was actually said. And that’s why I agreed with those who said to report the people, block them, and let Anet handle it. However, I’ve played the game for three years (and played other games and been on many forums), and I’ve seen the best of the best and the worst of the worst when it comes to discussions. Disgusting, rude, and cruel things DO get said, and I have no tolerance for it when it is actually offensive. Luckily, as I said in my first post here, that doesn’t happen often in GW2.

Also, I’m not protecting any Princess; I’m a woman, myself. I’m just stating what I feel to be the truth here, and that’s “It’s the internet” is not a good excuse for people acting like jerks.
