You’re right, you can just report and ignore that SAB isn’t there anymore… oh wait. Despite the fact that the comparison seems odd, don’t most (all?) complaints get backfire? You make it sound like everyone happily +1’s a whine about an aspect of the game but this thread is suddenly completely different.
You can ignore the fact that SAB isn’t there because, you know, it isn’t there. But anyway. I’m not saying everyone agrees with the other complaint threads, either. I’m just saying the threads about poor player behavior seem to get way more “Why did you waste time making a thread?” responses than the complaint threads about other things. But it’s still early for me, and I haven’t had my coffee, so I may just be remembering those threads badly.
My main point is just that I don’t get why so many people fall back on “It’s the internet” excuse when someone points out complete jackhole behavior (regardless of whether it’s the not-really-offensive stuff and the whoa-that’s-incredibly-messed-up stuff). Yes, it’s the internet, but that’s not an excuse to act like a disgusting pig/racist/bigot/misandrist/misogynist.

Report and Block.
I find it so funny that you’d rather post on the forums with something none of us have any control over yet you could have blocked and reported this person in mere seconds.
My block list has at least 100 people on it and it only took about 2 seconds per block.
We live in a world now where people would rather complain about online abuse (for attention I assume) then just deal with it and move on.
OP did say that she reported him/them. She didn’t say if she blocked them, though.
As a side note: People come to the forums to make thread after thread about how they’re going to riot if they don’t get SAB back. People come on here to whine about how the sound effects for The Dreamer have changed. People post about how mad they are that the game went free to play. These posts are all apparently fine. But a post about player behavior somehow isn’t fine. I just don’t understand the logic there. It’s cool to whine and moan about one aspect of the game, but it’s not cool to whine and moan about chat issues/player behavior.
Unfortunately, threads like this tend to bring out more of the “Anything goes on the internet, sucks if you’re offended lolololol” crowd.
Anyway, things usually have to get pretty grotesque for me to report them; luckily, it only gets that bad maybe once every few weeks. Just report them in-game and block them. Take screenshots, and then send them to Anet. If they’re truly breaking any rules, then Anet will handle it.

It’s 15k for dailies and monthlies combined. Most likely, if you’re not getting AP from doing the full daily, you’ve reached the cap.
No problem. I had the same thing happen to me.
Anyone asking me for a GW2effiiency link will be reported, NO ONE should be able to keep another player from certain content because they refuse to use 3 party programs.
They wouldn’t be breaking any rules by asking for that requirement. Reporting for invalid reasons is more “against the rules” than that.
Do you have any other part of your Personal Story currently active?
RNG is RNG. That’s all, I’m afraid.
Yeah, as long as mobs and the events give exp, I imagine they’ll count for Tyrian masteries. But I wouldn’t expect them to count for Maguuma ones at all.
I realize that it does affect your hair style/color choices, but it’s a full body feature, just like overall skin tone and patterns/tattoos. That’s why glow isn’t included.
Can someone please confirm, if a guild completed their missions last Sunday (27th September), will they receive rewards this Sunday (4th October)?
“In order to make this adjustment there will be no reset on Saturday evening, October 3. Instead, that week’s guild mission period will be extended slightly to allow for this update. Subsequently, guild mission resets will occur each Monday morning, at 12:30 AM Pacific time.”
Yeah, it’s definitely not just “guildies are yellow”. My husband and I are both in the same guild. Sometimes the dot would be blue, but sometimes it would be yellow.
Blue definitely means a party member, while yellow may just mean guildie, but not partied?
No, there are no dots on the map if you’re not in a party. At least none that I’ve seen.
Have you tried changing your graphics settings to Best Performance during these large fights/events? It helped me a bit when I was using a crappier computers and slower internet.
They all take the same amount of time to harvest/gather materials, so there’s no need to get a specific one for “efficiency” reasons. The Watchwork Pick is the best pick to get because of the sprockets. You could just go with whichever sickle and axe you think has the coolest animation.
And, for the record, I love my clown sickle.
Yeah, it’s definitely not just “guildies are yellow”. My husband and I are both in the same guild. Sometimes the dot would be blue, but sometimes it would be yellow.
Yeah, I noticed this earlier tonight. When I was in a party in one map, doing temple events, everyone’s dots were blue. But when I later partied up with my husband (just he and myself in a party), both of our dots were yellow. Then when we switched to a different map, my dot was blue on his screen, but his was yellow on mine.
Yeah, I sent them a reply but they have not responded back to me. Doubt I will get the refund to be quite honest. However I did file a complaint with the BBB already about the issue.
Why? They gave warning of the items going off the gem store. They’re not obligated to keep items for direct sale, anyway. Support has no obligation to refund anything in a case like this. So, there’s no valid reason to make a complaint to the BBB.
The mini was a Mini Queen Jennah, from the first anniversary. If you have the bank open as you tried to add it, it might just be in your bank. Use the search bar at the top to search for it; do the same with your inventory. You can also check your Material Storage to see if you already have the mini there (scroll down to the bottom of it to find any minis you may still have in there).
1. If you press Y, it’ll bring up your friends list/lfg/block list. At the top left of that panel, you can set your availability status to Online, Away, or Invisible. You can’t write a personal message for it, though. And there’s no automatic response if someone whispers you while you’re AFK.
2. You can click on the friend’s name in the Friends List and type in a nickname, but I believe that’s the most you can do.
3. No, there’s no way to see who is in any given zone. If you’re in a guild, you can open your Guild Panel and see where your guild members are. You can see where friends (those who have added you and who you’ve added) are. But beyond that, nope.
4. You can see what profession people in your friends list and guild are, but you can’t tell what profession someone is by looking at their name in the chat window. You’d have to be near enough to see them and click on them.
Oh, I see what you did. That Deputy Bixx thing is just a quote that you read when you hover your cursor over the item in-game; it’s not the name of the vendor.
But, regardless, I’m glad you got it sorted.
That is just a fanboy joke, right?
You buy your products when you need them. If someone finds a nice mix and one of the skins is a gemstore one, he will buy it, if not, not.
Fanboys have nothing to do with it. Creating an illusion of scarcity works as a business model. Anet isn’t the only business to do it; it’s a common tactic. When people see that an item is going off of the gemstore/going away, they’re more likely to panic buy.
It will be back at some point in the future.
I’m not sure where you even saw Bixx’s name. When I went to the page for the Treasure Hunter achievement, it took me directly to the page I linked above, which has no mention of Bixx. Weird.
If they have you blocked, then they CANNOT whisper you. No way around it. If you try to whisper someone you’ve blocked, you get an Error message. The end.
However, if they have their status set to Invisible, then they can whisper you, and you won’t be able to whisper them back because of them being set to Invisible. So, they’re not whispering people they’ve blocked; they’re whispering people while Invisible.
There’s no flaw in the Block system here; it’s just an annoying side effect of having an Invisible status.
This is correct. I just tested ingame, and could not PM someone I had blocked. But you can still send mail till they block you.
. . .
The only actual issue I see here is mail still working for players you have blocked.
Yeah, I forgot about the ability to still send mail when blocked. That is definitely a bit odd and should be addressed. However, usually harassment stays in whispers/chat and doesn’t go to mail, so it’s not quite as big an issue.
Again, I’m not sure why that’s a “bug”. It was a repeatable achievement from last Wintersday. No bug.
I’m not getting you here. How is this a bug?

I assume this is the item you need:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lionguard_Assault_Badge_%28masterwork%29
If so, you can get it from the npcs at any of the other camps, too. You just have to make sure that all of the camps are uncontested; you can’t buy the item if they’re not all uncontested. Also, Southsun Economist is the name of the merchant.
Have you reached the cap for monthly/daily AP?
Unless they’re doing something different for BWE3, beta characters won’t be given ascended gear to wear. You get boxes of exotic gear (with choosable stats). As for whether or not raids will require them, they haven’t said. I don’t think it’s too likely, personally. However, the boost in stats (however small) might be needed. We just don’t know yet.
Are you sure you’re completing three separate daily options? You won’t get any AP unless you Complete the daily (do three options).
Actually it’s not at all lazy design. It’s design paying attention to the lore of the game which is (or was) that Asura and Charr don’t have gender distinct clothing.
It’s too bad they’re so inconsistent with that whole thing with outfits.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Equipment_acquisition_by_stats#Level_80_exotic_equipment
Cavalier is crafted only for armor/weapons; you can buy back pieces and trinkets from a karma vendor in Orr.
Knights can be crafted, bought from wvw, or bought from specific dungeon vendors.
Just to explain about GW1:
GW has three separate, standalone campaigns: Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. Those aren’t considered editions of the same game because they’re technically three different “games”, all produced using the same stuff and by the same people. EOTN is the only full expansion for Guild Wars, and it can be added to any of the three standalone campaigns. There’s also the Bonus Mission Pack, which is kind of a mini-expansion.
There are various Editions of the campaigns you can buy, including a Trilogy, Platinum Edition (which has Prophecies and EOTN), PVP Editions, Standard Editions, Deluxe Editions, etc. Editions are just the base campaign with extras added (weapons, summoning stones, another campaign, etc.).
EOTN was an expansion in that it connects to the three separate campaigns, adding new heroes, maps, dungeons, quests, skills, etc. HOT will be an expansion to GW2 in the same way; adding new maps, skills, traits, and continuing the story started in the base game.

Somebody made it a mission to dox Dulfy for some reason. So protecting one’s identity seems only natural to me.
Yeah, that whole thread someone linked above was pretty creeptastic.
Heh. GamerGate nuts? You seem kind of misinformed, GamerGate is concerned with ethics in the gaming media, *not with genders politics. *
It most definitely had to do with gender politics, and women who most vocally spoke out against sexism and such in games were harassed and stalked for doing so. That being said, I don’t think Dulfy would necessarily be a target of any such harassment/stalking because I don’t think she tends to make statements about the whole thing.
Uh, clearly Logan marries Ritlock.
Do you even lore bro?????
Truth.
Nipple clamps for all Asura!
What Serval and Red Queen said. It’s T1 chest. You can only unlock the items for The Emperor by buying them from the vendor; unlocking them via Personal Story doesn’t count. Luckily, that’s the only cultural skin you get by doing PS. So, just go buy the chest again. It’s cheap.
Yet, when I did the PS with a tree, never played one before, just did it for the AP, it gave me the AP for unlocking it. Next time I’m on my PC I’ll check. But I’m 99.9% sure I saw the AP badge pop up when I got the T1 chest.
You probably got the pop up for just unlocking the skin in the wardrobe. I’m 100% certain that you can’t unlock it for The Emperor without buying it directly from that vendor.
That item used to be town clothing, so you have to unlock it differently. You have to take it to a Black Lion Trader (Armorsmith) to convert it into a skin/unlock it.
They’re common if you have a computer that can’t handle that much going on in the game. I usually have my graphics set to Best Performance in wvw and big world bosses to make sure I won’t crash during them.
Outfits are one full piece of clothing that goes over your armor, replacing the look of your armor. All armor weights (light, medium, heavy) can wear them, and you can use them for free anytime, once you’ve bought them.
Armor skins are skins that go over specific pieces of your armor, and you can only apply them for free once; every other use of the skin will require a transmutation charge. They’re also restricted to their specific armor weight. Example: The Zodiac heavy armor skins can only go on heavy armor pieces.

Not true. You unlock those achievements after your first ever playthrough, and then you can do it with a different char and get those achievements as you play.
You absolutely do NOT have to repeat the LS with the same char.
No, you do have to play through the LS to unlock achievements on a character. Sometimes anomalies occur, and you’ll get credit on a character that hasn’t done it yet. But those are anomalies, and you’ll almost always have to complete story first.
Sorry I forgot, only positive feedback. You are all right, I must have not been in my right mind. Troll sickness or something. Thank you all for showing me the errors of my way. I’ll go shut up in the corner now like a good little consumer.
Good feedback can be positive or negative.
Hello!
Anybody?!
You do know that real people are at the end of these keyboards.
My wife is a nurse and has/will miss all the beta events because those weekends she has/had to work. She has tried to trade shifts or get them off but was unable.
Wanting to show her full support, she purchased the 99$ version, and for what?
Thanks again for ignoring the real people that made this game what it is today.
P.S
Support nurses, they support you."
This isn’t good feedback. It’s whiny and insults other players (you know, the ones who aren’t “real people”).
Hello!
My wife is a nurse and has/will miss all the beta events because those weekends she has/had to work. She has tried to trade shifts or get them off but was unable.
Could we have some Beta Events during the weekdays? That way people who work odd hours could participate.
Take out the insults/whining, and it becomes good feedback.
One or more Bank Tabs
Character slots
Watchwork Mining Pick (and maybe an unlimited axe and sickle, too)
Living World Season 2 (if you don’t already have the episodes unlocked)
A makeover kit or two
Copper Fed Salvage-O-Matic (not necessary at all but a nice convenience item)
Bag slots, in my opinion, aren’t really worth the cost since they only go on one character. Outfits and skins are cool but not necessary; same with Finishers and mini pets. The airship/royal terrace passes and home portal stone aren’t worth the cost at all, for me personally, but YMMV.
