“Supporting your allies will now contribute toward earning rewards for killing enemies and damaging event bosses. The actions listed below now cause a percentage of the target ally’s damage dealt for the next several seconds to also count toward your participation. In addition to that, damaging an enemy’s defiance bar will also grant you some participation toward receiving rewards from that enemy. In order to discourage AFKing with boon-applying auras, you must still be actively attacking targets to receive rewards from them. "
You have to do damage to the target on occasion for it to work. You were damaging the target on your other classes without realizing it, most likely.
I find support is usually pretty understanding, especially when it’s your first time having a mess up like this. Hopefully they can restore your item.
Phalanx armor skin set please.
That was in the gem store a month ago. It’ll be back again in a few months, probably, if not for the March sale.
It’s because the forum filter is making sure no one uses an impolite word that refers to a woman of the night. The last four letters of your name are only missing a fifth letter to spell that word. Yay for filters working overtime.
Well, the thing you have to keep in mind is that not all mobs give exp. Usually the ones that don’t give exp are “adds” spawned during certain events. For example: the mobs that appear from the portals spawned during Shadow Behemoth don’t give exp or drop loot. Unfortunately, it can be hard to keep up with which mobs will give exp and which ones won’t because sometimes an event will have some mobs that give it and some that don’t.
As for sometimes only getting 50% of the exp boost, I’m not sure about that. Maybe someone else knows more about it.
Your server’s wvw bonuses (Power of the Mists) probably changed due to wvw reset last night. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Power_of_the_Mists
Be nice if the mouse-over mentioned variations due to power of the mists, since this question comes up fairly often.
Definitely.
Your server’s wvw bonuses (Power of the Mists) probably changed due to wvw reset last night. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Power_of_the_Mists
Well, what I’ve done before is just camp behind that pillar on the right side of the room. That way I can snipe down the guards and the couriers as needed, and I can also damage the Mouth. Once you get all the guards down, your allies get revived, and I usually go in and DPS him down as much as I can then. Once he brings his guards back, I’ll go back behind the pillar and repeat until he’s dead.
Well, the guards are supposed to come back when the Mouth reaches 50% health. I’ve never heard of them coming back when he’s almost dead, though. The risen couriers also heal him if they’re allowed to get to him, but again, I’ve never heard of them full healing him from almost dead. So, I’m not sure what’s happening.
Nothing. If they do put up the bunny ears, I’ll probably get that. But nothing else has interested me yet.
I’m still unable to knock out the guard. I tried it with different characters and the game locks up. After Faolain and Caithe fight the first two guards, the third guard turns around and the “light” marker faces Caithe. Caithe has to pass through this “light” in order to get to the guard. Can the game be glitched, because Caithe walks into the guards path when she is supposed to knock him out?
Please fix this bug soon, so I can continue the story.
That’s a different (new) bug from the one discussed in this thread.
How much?
This much.
I made that very same pose when I went to Disney World, but I didn’t have a princess dress or a fabulous tiny updo and tiara. I feel like I missed out now.
There’s no big chest at the end of Arah story; there’s just the bouncing chest rewards which contain a rare level 80 helm and some karma/exp. You don’t get the complete personal story end reward until you do the follow up “mission” after the story dungeon. And as for dungeon rewards in general, you should still get the rewards in the bouncing chests even if the leader ports out; that’s why I say to check your inventory and wallet for any changes.
And yes, it used to be that any bonus chests earned after 3 would be automatically deposited, but I’ve seen several people lately mention their chests “disappearing” after a map change. The rewards are almost always in their inventories when it happens, though. I’m not sure if this is a bug or a deliberate change, though.
Have you tried making a group with the in-game LFG?
I’m not sure what you mean by “I didn’t realise I was supposed to ONLY do story mode”. Did you do story, or did you do an explorable path?
As for the reward chests: Have you checked your inventory for the contents of the boxes? Usually when the chests just disappear, the chests have been opened automatically, and their contents have been placed in your inventory/bank/currency.
If they’re truly using offensive (and racist) language like that, then I’d seriously report them.
Have you tried simply blocking the players who go out of their way to be rude? I realize it’s not the ideal solution, but it can make for a more pleasant environment. I really wouldn’t know what else to suggest, other than reporting anyone who really goes too far with the harassment.
Anet has said that armor skins (particularly full sets) aren’t going to be released on the gem store anymore. Those will be reserved for content rewards, while outfits will remain gem store.
The reason a paid account can do it while a free account can’t is because having a paid account grants you all the perks; having a free account doesn’t. I think it’s good the way it is, honestly. And your friends can always just make new free accounts on the correct server if you’re playing in wvw or just keep their current accounts if you’re playing pve/spvp.
When you think of how much history is defined by the victors, think of the opinion of Louie IV in the french revolution, or Napoleon after he lost his campaigns in russia, or the battle of waterloo(I think it was waterloo, I dont remember off the top of my head)
Liverpool maybe…
Waterloo = Napoleon
Liverpool = The Beatles
No, it’s not Guild Favor. Favor of the Zephrites is the Favor in Dry Top, and it’s earned by everyone in the map completing events. You can see it as it goes up on the right hand side of your UI. It’s not a currency.
“Completing Crash Site events will increase favor for players in the map and favor progress is reset after each sandstorm. "
Yes, you have to purchase 90 armor pieces to complete the title. However, there are more than 90 cultural armor pieces available for purchase; you only have to buy head, shoulders, chest, gloves, legs, and boots from each tier for each race. You don’t have to buy all three sets for each tier for each race.
We’re just cracking open the white mantle, Matthias is literally the first member we’ve seen.

But yeah, this is the first time in a long time they’ve had any major part of the story.
Do hero challenges in PvE maps and wvw or buy scrolls of heroics from the Heroics Notary in wvw.
Yeah, some explanation or a rephrasing is necessary here if you want us to be able to help you.
Send him materials instead of gold. For example: if you want to send him 50g, send him 50g in globs of ectoplasm or silver doubloons. Then your friend can sell them for gold (or keep them, if needed for his legendary), and you won’t have to worry about the weekly gold cap.
According to Dulfy, you have to wait until the very end of the instance for it to be registered.
“You cannot get the achievement until you return to Taimi and listen to all the conversations until the very end of the instance after you have talked to Kasmeer. So once you got all 3 items, keep avoiding traps on your way back to Taimi. "
Did you fully finish the instance? If not, that’s why no one got it. Similarly, if someone ran through a trap on the way back to Taimi, that could also be why no one got it.
As for why the achievement icon wasn’t on your bar: have you already completed that living story chapter on that character? If not, you need to do that whole chapter on that character to unlock the achievements for it.
Yup, wvw bonus change is also my guess.
What Oxidia said. The skins unlock permanently when you buy the item, regardless of the class you buy them on.
Yup, good catch there, Memphis.
Access to 25-45 skills at a time is weak, so plz allow us 20 more…
The actual complaint here isn’t a lack of skills, but lack of sigils.
True, but that’s still also a non-issue since attunement swapping triggers “on swap” sigils.
Why do I feel like I’m at church all of a sudden?
Swapping attunements as an ele acts as a weapon swap. Same applies for engineer kits.

OP said they’re missing one from completing Been There, Done That which is “normal map completion”. The first screenshot also shows that they’re at 99/100 for Been There, Done That. Their second screen shot shows that they have the Tyria explorer achievements all completed.
Ah, so you want to have a Gem Store category in the wardrobe. The Gem Store isn’t the same as the Trading Post, hence the confusion.
Ahhhhh. That’d do it.
Go back to the Chantry again, just in case. Sometimes going back triggers it.
This might sound like a stupid question, but you have unlocked that collection, right? It’s currently active? I ask because if it’s not unlocked, that might be what’s making it not show up.
Sometimes the forge can be odd and not want to accept items in a certain order. Have you tried adding the doubloons, lodestones, and steel before adding the Gift of the Forgeman? Sometimes just changing the order fixes it.
Hm. I don’t know if/why it would affect it, but is the blade in an invisible bag? If it is, try moving it to a “normal” bag. Also, have you tried going to a different place of power to see if it works there? If that doesn’t help, then I’m not sure what the issue is. I’d contact support.
No.
How do you figure kid? I own my own company and have plenty of time, but I prefer to spend it at the gym or with my family, hence why I got out of the grindy mmo scene and came to GW2.
Since you are doing what you enjoy (ie. spending most of your non-working time with your family or going to the gym, and occasionally playing GW2), what’s the problem? You don’t want to grind. That’s cool; I often choose to avoid a grind, too, because I can’t stand grindy content, and I also have a spouse, kids, and pets. But not choosing to raid means you won’t get the rewards for doing the raids. I’m cool with that; I have ascended armor and am happy with that. You can’t have everything.

As far as I know, only the Gift of Fortune was said to be made salvageable, and it is salvageable.
Those materials you get for breaking down items can be sold for a decent profit.
They have made and will continue to make new hairstyles. As for mounts . . .

lets just say you wanna change 1 thing on you´re character or hair or eye color, i think there should be atleast one place where you can change that for gold or silver.
You can already do that buy using gold to buy gems, and then using those gems to buy a makeover kit/hairstyle kit.
There are already rare and super rare items that drop, especially during special events, and most of those can be sold on the trading post. You can make gold easily enough.
They don’t drop from mobs/events because they don’t want them to. They want a way to bring in money by giving us cosmetic items, which is the point of the gem store.
No, you don’t need three characters from each race; you just need one from each race. For example: For humans you can get the achievement Crime and Punishment for completing the level 30 personal story, and you get it by completing any of the three story missions listed (Breaking the Blade, The Commander, and The Trial of Julius Zamon). It’s the same for all of the other cultural-based Hero achievements.
Once you’ve finished the level 30 personal story, there’s no need to keep the character unless you just want to keep it for whatever reason. They can be useful to park at jumping puzzles for lazy extra loot, for example. Or you could even level up classes you don’t already have, just in case you ever need them for certain content.
