I prefer "POCSAOSLQ’, (Person of Compatible Sex And Orientation Sharing Living Quarters) because it recognizes LGB couples. (And doesn’t sound like “Poo-silk”)
And now I’m cracking up at “poo-silk”.
Speaking of age, when I was growing up there were no such things as emoticons. Just the happy smile face, but it wasn’t used in text chat, once there was text chat (which started my second year of college, in limited LAN form). Couldn’t insert graphics in text back then, y’know.
Us cool girls used to dot our "i"s with smiley faces. The original emoticon.
Why would I want them to completely remake the same game? If GW2 were exactly GW1, I wouldn’t have bought the game. And I say this as someone who really loves GW1. GW2 has its imperfections and its problems, and so did GW1. Plus, it was never meant to be the same game as GW1.
Even “boo” (the title people gave to their significant others before bae became a thing) still annoys me. I’m getting so old.
I much prefer the older term POOSSLQ myself. Don’t you? Kind of has a catchy ring to it. it even has that lovely poem, “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do, if you would be my POOSSLQ.” ^^
*(Person Of Opposite Sex Sharing Living Quarters)
I seriously love you sometimes. This is one of those times.

You can have as many crafting disciplines unlocked on one character as you like. You can only have 2 active at a time, however, unless you buy the crafting discipline upgrade in the gem store. Otherwise, you just have to pay a fee to reactivate one of your crafts if you need it.
These two examples, kek and kappa, I can handle, but the one that really drives me up the wall is “bae”.
Bae, squad goals, on fleek, etc. It’s just all so, so ridiculous.
I’m sorry for your condition, but the symptoms sound more like the symptoms of motion sickness, than a fear of heights, in which, you shouldn’t really be playing 3-Dimensional games anyway.
Nah, the symptoms do sound like common ones caused by being faced with a big fear (I get the same symptoms when I drive over a bridge because it’s one of my phobias). Motion sickness has similar symptoms, sure. But I would imagine that OP has lived with this fear long enough to know what the typical reaction feels like for them.
OP: Unfortunately, heights are just a major part of this game. You can try altering your camera angle, zoom, or field of view to see if you can find a set up that doesn’t let you see just how far up you are. But you’re not going to be able to do much more than that, other than just finding a way to deal with the side effects.
There is no Jewel crafting over 400.
The Transmutation system in the game lets you take the appearance of one skin and put it on top of your currently worn armor piece. As long as they’re the same weight class (medium to medium, light to light, heavy to heavy), it’ll work. All you need are transmutation charges, and you’ll get those as you complete maps, level up, and log in. You also have to have the skin you want to use unlocked in your wardrobe (which is done by either equipping, salvaging, or forging it).

Infantile mode doesn’t count for the daily. You also need to stay in the zone until the countdown timer at the end completely runs out.
I want the holiday quaggan so much that it hurts.
We can’t get inside yet, and yeah, it seems like we’re meant to go back there when/if World 3 and 4 are done and provide new powerups.
You don’t get a boot box for finishing Seeds of Truth. You get the leg armor for finishing part of Seeds of Truth. The boots can only be bought from the vendor after unlocking it.
WoW uses “pay to reach insert level right away” to help sell expansions because expansions in WoW always come with a level cap increase. So, to draw in people who maybe haven’t touched the game in a long time or ever (and, thus, may not have a current max level character), they throw in an automatic level up.
GW1 never raised the level cap beyond 20. HoT didn’t raise the level cap for GW2, and I don’t see them suddenly raising it in the future, honestly. If for some reason they ever did throw such an item on the gem store, I wouldn’t ever buy or support it.
My character likes to exclaim “Sweet, sweet loot” as I get a Superior Rune of the Baelfire from forging some Major Runes. My character is a dirty liar.
Did you make a support ticket with your screenshots? And a bug report, as well?
Yes and attached the screenshot aswell
Good. Hopefully you’ll get a response. I keep meaning to take a character up to that story step to see if the same happens for me. I’ll try to do that this weekend. Maybe someone else on the same story step will chime in with their own experiences, too.

how do I unpoor so I can buy dem?
I feel your poor pain.
If I ever call my sons “ma’ boy” that many times, I hope they completely disregard what I say.
When I was using the flute last night, I noticed that it LOOKED like it was stuck on one note. However, once I turned the volume up, I could hear the pitch changing as I pressed the other keys. And the door I was trying to open did open once I actually finished the sequence. So, listen; if you hear the pitch change, then it’s working fine (even if it doesn’t look like it).
You just met someone.
Ditto.
Also, you need to wear your tinfoil hat when you make Conspiracy Theory posts, Dinks! https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1jrhkl/alternate_universe_evon_gnashblade_wins_mail_and/
I provided facts… the new fractal and everything were in for Kiel, Evon nope… Conspiracy theory my kitten .
You provided no facts. Neither fractal was in development (other than maybe the very basics) until after the election. Dialogue was recorded for both Kiel and Gnashblade (including a victory speech for each one). Sooo, yup. Conspiracy theory.

…
However, that doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to fix this. A fix is in the works right now, and that fix may happen before SAB closes or be there for the next time the festival opens.
Return of SAB confirmed
It was confirmed in the write-up about SAB when it went in last week.
You can’t glide until you unlock Masteries (and specifically unlock the Gliding Mastery), and you can only unlock Masteries once you’ve hit level 80 and start the Heart of Thorns personal story. And yes, Mastery unlocks are account bound; so after you unlock the Mastery on your first character, your other characters will be able to glide (at any level).
The tool tip (for some reason) is still just wrong. Back in 2013 they changed Death Shroud so that going into it didn’t remove Spectral Armor or Spectral Walk. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates/2013-06-25#Necromancer_2
Alright, it’s about time I commented on this.
As of now we don’t have a problem with players doing this. While the late join is unintended, if players want to pay for this service, that’s fine. It does trivialize the skins some, but this isn’t any different than the skins from purchasing a raid run or a dungeon run (which we also are ok with). As long as the transaction is completed and players are getting what they paid for, fine.
However, that doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to fix this. A fix is in the works right now, and that fix may happen before SAB closes or be there for the next time the festival opens.
Thank you for the official word on this.
I just found the thread in question (that was made a day ago)but cannot find any official stance on this issue.
That’s because it didn’t happen the last time SAB was in the game.
I don’t mind paying, to be honest, but not at the expense of having my account banned.
But because Arenanet will for whatever reason they see fit not tell us what their stance is, I will have a proverbial tummy ache either way… do I buy but risk my account or watch others cheerfully buy and risk being the sucker?
Paying for dungeon runs, fractal runs, and even raid runs is perfectly allowed. None of those require exploiting a bug in order to do something you’re not supposed to be able to do. Selling SAB Tribulation runs DOES require exploiting a bug to do it; thus, you should be smart and avoid doing it (in my opinion).
It’s legal to sell runs like that on the LFG. However, using that SAB exploit probably isn’t legal, so that particular case is different from your typical raid/dungeon/fractals sells.
Is your bauble bag currently full? If so, that’s probably why you’re not able to pick up any more, and that could be blocking your progress.
Since there’s a notice when you enter Tribulation mode that says (basically) “You will not be able to rejoin a party if you are disconnected from the instance”, it’s pretty safe to assume that the people exploiting the tiny crack in the system are, indeed, exploiting.
Really? No banana scythe mention?!
It’s still not working, the game client decided it wanted to crash right in the middle of my second attempt (baring in mind i didn’t play it right the first time round), and came back online and i can’t even interact with it unfortunately.
Well, I am new to the game, just found this while reading the story books (The Founding, parts 1-20) and tried the 5-6-5-4-9-1-8-3-5 sequence – entering it TWICE in a row, and it opened the door on the left for a chest. Plus it played a nice tune.
The post you quoted was made two years ago.
Also, I take it if ranger AFK farming is allowed, that the necromancers in Dredgehaunt Cliffs using minions to farm for them whilst the players are asleep (like, 03:30 am UK time) that I have been reporting are allowed too?
That could be different. Time of day doesn’t really matter because they could be living in a different part of the world, and it could be the next day or earlier than it is where you are. But if they’re standing still for hours with the permanent minions out, then yeah, I’d call that odd behavior.
This is allowed behavior; as it was designed to function that way.
Leaving your character afk for extended periods of time and letting the AI rack up kills for you is allowed? Good to know.
What Stitch said. You could also drop your stacks in the bank before heading into the SAB zones.
Have the launchers at Tequatl been looked into yet? You currently cannot use them if you don’t have HoT/gliding unlocked.
I wander if this is even possible to do. I think it would be awsome if Anet can find a way to get thin in the game!
I reckon it’s possible to do…
Except gliders are attached to the shoulders/back of the character. So, they’d have to come up with a way to make it look like you’re riding a magic carpet while still being part of the gliding set up. Might be a bit difficult.
Definitely not. Skins/items awarded for hard content should remain that way.
Explain me then why we can buy runs at endboss and claim to have completed tribulation mode?
It’s not even that way if you have some golds in your pocket. You can be rich and get what you want without efforts.I don’t buy runs but I know it’s possible, and it’s probably an exploit, I dunno. Buyers will never be banned for this. Again, the weapons means nothing, currently.
It’s not intended. We’re not even supposed to be able to rejoin our party if we’re disconnected during a Tribulation run; there’s a notice about it as you’re entering Tribulation mode. So, yup, the people earning via exploit aren’t earning the tokens as intended.
Definitely not. Skins/items awarded for hard content should remain that way. If you just can’t do the content, then I believe you shouldn’t get the reward. And I say this as someone who can’t (actually, more like won’t) sit down and play through Tribulation mode to get the tokens.

Obligatory “Can I have your stuff?” post.
Creating a new account means you won’t be able to play any of the HoT stuff until you hit level 80, and you’ll also be starting with 0 gold/karma/anything. If that’s what you want to do, then buy the game and make a whole new account. If you want to actually start playing the HoT content with your current account’s currencies/bank space/gear, then just upgrade.
And no, there is no gift or anything for upgrading to HoT. If you pre-ordered last year, you got a bonus character slot, but that isn’t available anymore.
As was already said, you don’t have to wear the gear or do anything other than buy the armor piece for it to count. You have to buy one set of boots, legs, gloves, chest, shoulders, and helm from each tier. Buying more than one set of boots (or any piece) from the same tier won’t count.
Also: Make sure you go buy the t1 chest because most people first unlock that skin by doing the personal story, which doesn’t count towards the Emperor achievement title.
Without being able to glide from the top of the jump arc, if there are people on the pads at Teq it’s almost faster to just hoof it.
Glad this is fixed though!
It’s not fixed. At least not for my account, anyway.
The launch pads at Tequatl do not work if you don’t have gliding unlocked. Shatterer’s launch pads do launch you, but the Teq ones do not. Attempting to use it just makes the Gliding tip pop up.
Yeah, I just logged onto my non-HOT account, and I was able to use the launch pads at Shatterer, but I was NOT able to use the ones at Teq. It stops you right before it’s supposed to launch you.

1. Doubt it.
2. Doubt it.
3. Probably.
4. See raids.
5. Doubt it.
6. If they keep making expansions, we’ll fight it eventually.
7. Unlikely but still possible.
