I just wanted to point out that you don’t have to use minions on a necro. You can play the whole game without ever using a single one of them, if you so choose.
Do you still have the item in your inventory? If so, yes, you can undo it and use it on a different character. If not, you’re out of luck.
I hate shortbow, but dang it, I might at least try to make it as far as the tiger cubs because SQUEE!
Oh.my.god. I want to cuddle them forever.
The text datamined with the gloves says “Chaos Gloves Have Arrived!”. The fact that it has text with it heavily implies that it will be a gem store item. And the ecto comment is because in GW1 you got the gloves by trading in a stack of dust and 75 ectos; the ecto-skritt likely won’t have anything to do with it.
Yup, it’s happening to me, as well.
I randomly got the mail tonight as I was standing at the bank in Lion’s Arch, and I got it on a character that has completed all of the personal story. Weirdness.
Food and utility will stack, yes. But food and food or utility and utility won’t stack; they’ll just replace the old food or utility.
People are already breaking the map and buying these items from the vendors in LA. I am surprised Anet even has them there. The BL area in LA was a bad idea given how easily people break map and use teleport hacks.
No they’re not because you can’t buy them . . .
Actually they do. There is Pheonix, Daydreamer, Scientific. All the vendors seem to have the weapons available. Its a matter of getting in behind the locked rooms.
Like I said, you can’t actually BUY from them. You couldn’t back before they added the new room and changed the old void jumping spot, and I can only assume you can’t now, either.
Maybe you didnt know but the vendors are nearly all there still behind a locked area.
Using an in-game exploit you can get in there. This exploit does not require third-party software so its an exploit about as easy as the SAB token exploit.
Getting into The Vault doesn’t grant you access to any of the weapons sold by the npcs back there. So, I don’t see how the two are in the same ballpark other than being a type of exploit.
I think leveling a mesmer was the hardest for me. That doesn’t mean I didn’t have fun leveling her, though.
Yes, it’s because of the Ineffable Insignia you’re using. Those are used to make lower level gear, and the intricate gossamer one specifically makes armor with the name “Imuthi”. You’ll have to make one of the “normal” stat insignias to make exalted armor.
It was very nice to actually see people running dungeons again.
Subjective, yes, but a commonly held opinion. Not just mine. Try seeing what would happen if they removed mounts from WoW, they most popular MMO of all time.
Removing a long-established feature of a game is not the same thing as adding said feature to a game that has never had it in its history.
I don’t think you’ve missed any, but I will say you should keep in mind that you can use wvw for crafting from any location, and get back to said location with no cost attached.
Yup. That’s what I do.
We already have collectibles in the form of mini pets and other things. And, honestly, riding/flying on a mount doesn’t give me a better feeling of immersion in any game, and in this game it’s doubly so because Waypoints are part of the lore. They’re part of immersing yourself into the way of life for characters in the game. Most importantly, though, I’d rather not have Anet’s devs and employees try to make mounts because it’ll be a majorly intensive process that will require taking people off of teams for other things that are more important (things that are actually already part of the game).
Whoa! This is not more gold through just playing the game.
This is straight up paying us to play their HoT content.
Except you get 2g even if you don’t own HoT, and only one of the dailies given per day will be HoT dailies (and will only show up if you own HoT).
There are the Teleport to a Friend items. I’m not sure if you’d count those in the same category or not, though.
Despite what you said in your original posts, you probably have hit the cap. As stitch said, it’s based on both the old monthly AP and the daily AP combined.
You didn’t fail as a leader; you got scammed by someone who is not worth your time or energy. He didn’t enter into this agreement with you to legitimately create and lead a guild together; he did it to scam you.
If you remember his name and have any screenshots of your interactions, report him to Anet. You could just report him in-game, or you could make a support ticket with his name and your account of what happened.
I’ve had 30+ characters in GW2 since launch. I don’t feel cheated or think badly upon people getting the level 80 boost. Plus, it’s a once per account item, and the boost doesn’t unlock everything on a character. They’d still have to go do hero points to finish unlocking traits, do HoT to unlock masteries, and many other things to catch up to the rest of us.
I used it on my 80 necro because I also had at least one of every class already. If I had one on a new account, I’d probably use it on a thief because I hate leveling a thief.
It is a nice incentive to do dailies for people who got capped daily AP and have too many spirit shards already
I believe it’s impossible to have capped daily achieves. There hasn’t been enough time since release.
There’s usually about one thread a week over in the bug forum from someone who thinks they’re not getting AP from dailies because of a bug; it’s actually because they hit the cap. Lots of people have reached it.
What Ayrilana said.
No one knows. Sometime before 2pm Pacific tomorrow.
You also get a dance party, if you talk to the late arrival in the final episode and go all the way through his conversation choices.
I remember the first time I saw that. It was the best thing ever.
Be thankful that’s all you had to deal with.
Briar was literally a thorn. Not in a compliment kind of way.Scattered, broken, inconsistent backstory and development that appeared out of no where and somehow made all the other NPCs drop several IQs during the seasons.
She had potential, but Anet blew that chance. She was just a reason to segway to the next dragon. Even if it made little sense. The only good thing that came from her was the Marionette fight, which sadly still has had only poor replicas in its place in other areas.
I thought the Breachmaker fight was the best, but the Marionette was certainly a close second.
The Scarlet Briar stuff you watched is a summary of Living Story Season 1. They put it in so people who missed it can see what happened in-game before doing Season 2 (if they want to buy it/play it) or Heart of Thorns.
But apart from that and just for the records , why not? Why would you leave out the Europeans when advertising such an important things? Are our Euros / British Pounds less worth or are we 2nd class customers? I noticed stuff like this happening at US companies often (e.g. RIOT games).
Europeans aren’t being left out. They can very much participate in the Q&A if they want to stay up. They can also go back and re-read it (like many Americans who will be at work/school during the Q&A session) at a later time. But since Anet is an American company with their office in the US, they have to do these things when they have work hours. The same goes for other US companies. They’re all run by human beings who have lives outside of work.
And that has taken 6 months to achieve.
No, it took you two months to get to level 80. You “quit” for four months.
Are you ever going to do something on this forum? I am getting frustrated with the amount of devs that keep posting on Reddit and topics here get ignored.
While I also would like to see more dev activity on the forums, Reddit makes for a much, much more readable format for a Q&A than these forums. It’s easier to do Q&As there, in general.

Yes, the box goes away on the 19th. You have until the patch goes in on that day to do any achievements you want to do. It’ll be back again next year.
Putting four golden fractal relics into the forge alone won’t create anything. You have to combine them with other items. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gold_Fractal_weapons#Acquisition
Did you open the silver reward chest? You have to open it to unlock it.
Collections don’t usually go away, so it’s safe to assume this one will stay in the game.
It looks like all the Jumping Pads are now Launching Pads and they haven’t changed for a few days. Looks like they’re done.
It might take a couple hits but you might want to Recheck that full credit thing Andraus.
You won’t get full credit for the entire event just by attacking Teq a few times. You may get the bonus reward chest and the dragon chest, but you won’t get the chests rewarded for participating in battery defense.
And I’m still fairly confident that this change (requiring gliding) wasn’t intended for this boss. Hopefully the patch Tuesday will fix it.
Can’t blame them for being silent as they are chastised for virtually every decision they make. Not to say some criticisms aren’t warranted. Just to say that people will complain regardless of what they do.
kitten ed if you do, kitten ed if you don’t.
Yup.
Don’t know what you are talking about…Pain inverter was a perfectly balanced pve skill………………….
Mursaat Elementalist: channels Spectral Agony
Me: giggles and casts Pain Inverter
Mursaat Elementalist: casts Spectral Agony and dies a terrible, painful death
Me: giggles more
Yeah, still disappointing from them, they can easily give me a new one instead of me waiting one year. Meh..
Yeah, except that character is now gone. They couldn’t/wouldn’t/shouldn’t just “give you a new one”.
I also love Reaper for pretty much anything but especially for making may through HoT content. Very good survivability, good damage, and minions to take some of the heat off of you if needed. Our mobility still isn’t the best, however.
Well, the gift is for that character. If you delete that character, that’s that. Next time just make sure you open your soulbound items before deleting.
Maybe they are moving the raid portal out of VB so that people hanging out preparing for a raid don’t take up space in a map where players are trying to do events. I have seen several complaints since the raid was released about players waiting to raid taking up space in VB.
That’s what I was thinking, too.
Sadly, no, you can’t salvage them. And you can’t forge them. What I did with mine (I made them all just to unlock all the skins) was put a couple in the bank to save for alts. That way my alts have an exotic back item with stats of my choosing when they hit level 78.
Not…quite 100.
I would have to look it up but: 5 races, each selling 3 t3 armor sets, 6 pieces each.
Every peace an average cost of 20? gold I believe.
(5*6)*3*20=30*3*20=90*2*10=180*10=1800
A friend of mine looked at the lowest tier and thought he could just ‘get that achievement’, quickly bought about 200 gold worth of cultural armor before he realised he could never finish it. Thats why im asking.
Not quite. There are three tiers of armor for each race. Tier 1 armors are between 34 and 80 silver; Tier 2 are between 80 silver and 2 gold; Tier 3 are between 12 gold and 30 gold. The total cost ends up being ~641 gold. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cultural_armor
Also, there’s only one achievement per each race armor collection, and you only get it by getting ALL the needed pieces from ALL the tiers. Once you have all of those achievements, you get The Emperor title. So, your friend could have at least finished one (maybe two, if he bought 200g worth) of the complete racial collections, assuming he wasn’t just trying to buy everything from each tier.

All of them? Quite a long time, I’d imagine. Hours upon hours, especially if you’re unfamiliar with how to play SAB.
I ran it with the shortcut for today/tonight’s daily, and I got full credit.
There’s a video on youtube that actually has the various musical pieces from world 1 with a paragraph from the composer describing the basics of each piece as they start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ut8xPZVLMQ
And I seem to recall that two of the GW2 composers did a blog post (here on the main website) about the technical aspects of creating music like this, if you’re interested in tracking that down.
