I, too, wish we could sell/trade these ascended mats. I have no use for them at all, and so it all just piles up (in collection storage and then in my bank).
Oh good. I’m glad you got it sorted out in the end.
I hate to say it, but if you’re having this much trouble with this boss, you might want to steer clear of HoT’s story (especially the final boss instance, which is overtuned as well as buggy).
I didn’t have much trouble at all with the final LS2 boss solo, but it was considerably easier with another person in there helping me out. Have you tried doing it with someone else (your girlfriend would be a good candidate, if you two play together)? It takes the heat off of at least one of you, and it makes the instance go by faster.

That choice determines which storyline you’ll get leading up to (and immediately after) the Fort Trinity mission. And yes, it’s the Apatia, Tonn, and risen mesmer story chapters that are determined by your choice. You can see the basic gist of what happens in the dialogue sections of the wiki pages for each story section:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Breaking_the_Bone_Ship (For Tonn)
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Shell_Shock (For “dishonored by allies” fear choice, you’ll need to click through to the story chapters that follow this one to get to the conclusion)
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Striking_Off_the_Chains (for Apatia, and again you can read the story chapter pages that follow this one to see the rest of that part of the story)
I would try posting in Technical Support to see if anyone there has a suggestion. Since you can see other AOE circles of different colors, it suggests that something is messed up with your game file or with your computer, in general. You could try running a repair of the client. https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/28148006-Repairing-the-Game-Client
Do you have traits on that give you boons when you dodge or get hit? If so, you’ll have to switch to traits that won’t accidentally give you a boon. And honestly, you probably do get that many boons out in the open world but just don’t notice because it happens quickly or as you’re running.
If TC is listed as Full, then it’s Full. As Trogdor said above, you can both still play together in spvp and pve as much as you want no matter what server you’re on. But if you want to do wvw together, then you’ll have to either transfer your account to a different (not Full) server or wait for TC to become not Full (which won’t happen anytime soon).
It’s the profanity filter (replaces “bad words” with “kitten”).
Where were the tools when you used the booster?
Have you checked your inventory to see if the chests were auto-deposited there?
I’ve had that happen before. Usually, all you have to do is jump up once or twice, and you’ll end up on the platform.
Proof is in the server logs. Auto heal, Pet aggro, auto loot. no keystrokes are being pressed at all. Infact I have 2 of my 3 accounts running in VMware workstation doing this. No macros or botting at all.
Running on an ITX 4570 clocked at 900mhz, it cant do much more then just let the game run.
Proof is in the logs.
Then contest the ban by requesting support investigate further. If you’re innocent, you’ll be all set pretty quickly.
Using mechanics as designed is definitely not exploiting. However, using them in a way that is unintended is exploiting. Using auto-cast on abilities is fine. Using it to circumvent the auto-disconnect isn’t. Using minions/pets to kill mobs is fine. Using that in conjunction with auto-casting to stay logged on well beyond when you should have been disconnected in order to obtain a benefit is not.
Yup, this. This is exactly what Anet has said (thus far) about AFK farming.
This is ridiculous. There should be away to get something this basic without resorting to the TP or endgame content. It’s inventory space, not a legendary.
There is; it’s called crafting. Crafting isn’t end game content, and you can level it up fairly quickly to make yourself some of the cheaper bags (8 slots). You could do this with leatherworking, armorsmithing, or tailoring. Just pick one, level it a little bit (you only need maybe crafting level 50 to make 8 slot bags), and make a couple of bags.
You can also buy 5 slot bags from certain vendors, and you get bags from doing certain personal story steps.
So, you’re only wanting an option to make the UI hide heart quests? Why? Just ignore them.
You can edit your posts by clicking on the little pencil icon. You don’t have to keep making new ones.

What part of Sign Cutting bugs for you? You said “at the rock”, but I’m not sure which part you mean. I just ran most of HoT story earlier today on one of my characters, and it all worked fine.
The gathering tool slots should be account wide – its been discussed many times, ANet has chosen to do nothing about it.
That’s not what OP was asking, I think.
OP: I’m assuming you’re talking about the endless tools. Put the tools in your inventory, and then go to a Black Lion Weapons Specialist. You can find one next to the main TP NPCs in any major city. They’ll have a dialogue option that will let you convert your soulbound tools to account bound.
Can I have your stuff?
Interacting with them doesn’t do anything now; they’re leftover relics from part of the Scarlet storyline.
Most tickets are resolved within 72 hours. If it’s been more than 72 hours, then you can post your ticket number in the following thread so they can check on it. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/GW2-Tickets-for-Review-3-days-older-2/page/17
As was said, they are account bound. If yours are still soulbound, put them in your inventory, and go to a Black Lion Weapons Specialist to make it account bound.
You can contact support and ask if they can either refund you the gems you spent on the character slot or switch the bag slot for the character slot (and refund you the difference).
However, you should make sure of what you’re trying to buy. There are bag slots, and then there are shared inventory slots. The bag slots are only usable on one character; the shared inventory slots will show up across all of your characters.
Sloths don’t have to lift; they spend their lives hanging from trees and stuff. That’s how they get so buff. That, and they’re manifestations of pure evil and have demon steroid blood pumping through their veins.
I so agree. The little movements (leaning backwards and stretching, scratching) they added to it just make me giggle every time I see them.
I wasn’t aware that it was something you couldn’t do before,i have only been playin maybe 4 months and as soon as I was able to glide I changed the keybind for it
.
Did you do this with the in-game settings, or did you set up a keybinding through some other means? I ask because I’ve looked and have yet to find a way to change the glider toggle key.
Nope.
Currently, there’s no toggle to turn off gliders. For now, you prevent it from opening by making sure you don’t press down on the space bar and don’t double tap it. Just quickly tap on it (once) to jump.
There is no longer exp gains in wvw (including EOTM). You instead only get wxp to gain ranks/work on reward tracks.
Don’t you receive a ‘Scrap of Maguuma Mastery’ (which are auto-consumed) from Heart of Maguuma gathering instead of ‘Writ of Experience’.
Now that you mention that, I think you’re right. You don’t get writs of experience for the HoT map gathering/harvesting dailies. You get the scrap of Maguuma Mastery, and it’s automatically consumed.
Oooooh, I didn’t even think of it as the confusion being on the OP. In that case, yeah, it’s possible that your attack is hitting more than one target, which is causing you to take damage for each time you’re hitting a target.
Does guard bow 1 even put conditions (other than cripple) on enemies? I didn’t think it did.
Do you have the trident equipped?
Honestly, it sounds like you opened a wvw daily chest instead of a forager chest. Did you get any of the other normal forager chest items when you opened it (herbs, fruit, veggies, etc.)?
That armored saurus was a serious jerk.
Tapioca is correct; you have to be in combat. It also has a cooldown, so it won’t show up twice if you dodge twice in a row.
You could start crafting the massive amount of ascended mats you’re going to need. The crafting portion of Tier 1 requires 10 elonian leather squares, 10 spiritwood planks, and 15 deldrimor steel ingots. You’ll later need more deldrimor steel, as well. The collection parts won’t let you do them until you’re on the correct tier, anyway.
100,000 views could have one person doing 99,999 refreshing the page.
I doubt it, I think each of the view is unique per player, no?
No. Views are the number of times the thread is opened/read (probably with a sort of “cooldown” between views on the same account), not the number of accounts.
I have experienced the opposite most of the time. People with bunny ears and stupid wings are often -18 year old people.
Nah, I’m fairly certain the bunny ears and wings are popular across all demographics.
Casual fractal hero was “retired” with the April patch. They made an announcement about that a few weeks before the patch. It was replaced with Fractal Initiate.
Oh duh. I forgot they renamed and reset them.
Thank you for your answers
I wanted to ask for other opinions because I couldn’t believe this happened and wanted to know if this was a new ’’trend’’ for players, but of course my in-game reaction was to go play pvp and keep enjoying the game. It is easy to find one kid, but 8 in a row seems unlikely.
For those asking: ~7500 and ~11000 ap, warrior and necro, full meta builds, half-asc/half-exotic and full ascended, normal dyes and skins (including expensive ones) used on armor and pink on outfit, nothing was said at the beginning but “hey” and “heyho”.
PS: no class requirements in their LFG
maybe it was wrong to say that, but think about how you look. You are spamming a very loud jarring colour and noone like that in a fantasy setting.
My main warrior has worn bright pink since they day I created the character. I see plenty of brightly colored characters in the game. Clearly, lots of people like that in a “fantasy setting”.
They were pretty OP in GW1. I’d like to see a Tyrannus, Angordon or Ferothrax up against these newer Dinos.
Lets not even start on the Hydra from Crystal Desert…
God, the hydra. Ugh.
I’d love to see an epic fight between GW1 dinos and GW2 saurians, as long as I can watch from a safe distance and not be murdered in the face by them.
When you ask Magister Ela Makkay to tell you about Rox, the NPC name in the chat log changes to “Veland [Modus Scleris]”. Kind of a weird little bug.
Are you sure you fully completed it? The honeycomb has to be at 100%, and you have to be standing in the white square behind it while the vinewrath does its laser beam; if you get knocked out of the box for each pass, it won’t count.
As for the “Challenge completed”, that’s just misleading text that’s there whether you’ve completed it or not. My first picture is from my account that hasn’t done that achievement, and the second is from my main account (that has done it).
I want a mini Norn Savage and a mini Wild-Eye Miller. And I want them to say crazy things to me as we run around.
Well, we only have your side of the story here. We weren’t there, and we’re not them, so we can’t say why they did what they did. Regardless, don’t waste your time worrying about the stupid reactions of a group of jerks. Block them, and then go back to playing. I can assure you that there are way more nice, friendly, and accepting people in-game than there are petty jerks.
How awful.

I have called my ISP and i was told that many users in the same area than me had the same issue. However i have asked my friend living 50 meters away from me who has the same ISP than i do and never had any troubles. The conclusion is my ISP is aware i’m getting DDOS but deny the fact that i’m getting hacked and claims that such attacks are impossible and they are most likely scared to lose a customer. I don’t want to bring my PC to the closest police station because 1) it’s heavy 2) they don’t give a kitten about cyber attacks in my country.
Any help is welcome regarding programs or tricks to reduce and neutralize the impact of DDOS. I tried installing a VPN but it doesn’t change anything it just brings more lags and delays in between skills but at least allows me to oppen google …
What reason do you have to not believe your ISP when they tell you that you’re not being attacked by GW2 players and that “many users” in your area are having the same problems? Maybe you should take a bit of a break from the game (and the internet as a whole) for a few hours or a day or two, and then come back with a more calm frame of mind to see if the problem is still there. If it is, then contact your ISP again and request a service call to your home.
I haven’t seen any Nevermores or HOPEs yet. They seem kinda rare.
Really? I seem to come across at least one person with Nevermore everywhere I go in-game.
