Probably similar ones to making the weapons and back (t6 mats and maybe other mats from the other tiers). Plus some extra cloth and stuff thrown in.
Please, can we close this thread?
Ugh, ignore me. I’m slow today. But yeah, I’m pretty sure Quickness and any other Attack Speed boosts aren’t meant to stack over eachother. A higher value replaces the lower.

Mesmers can apparently outrun Sentars, whatever they are.It is rage provoking!
Centaurs = the half horse/half man creatures you fight in human zones.
And all human females say it when they get swiftness. It’s annoying on all of them, too.
i been playing since gw1 find 1 gay character there.
Fair enough, there aren’t any there that I know of. Still doesn’t negate them being in GW2 since launch, though.
What does 2 characters forced love story/dialogue/background have to do with killing elder dragons?
What does the Player Character’s upbringing, college of choice, first invention, vision in the dream, or warband choice have to do with killing elder dragons? Not much, but it adds flavor, side-stories, and details. A story without little details like that really isn’t much of a story.
1. No. It stays in that slot until you use it.
2. If people are consuming it on the wrong character, then they’re really not paying attention. You get a confirmation window as you initially accept the boost to 80. The item then takes you to Silverwastes so you can try out your character at level 80 with a set of exotic gear. If you want to keep the boost on that character, you can use the item again to consume it, and then you get two confirmation windows before fully consuming the item.
There’s more info here. https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/99059447-Level-80-Boost
The penguin likes to make provocative topics every once in a while just because. So, keep that in mind before taking anything in this thread TOO seriously.
I would imagine that any launch pads in DR or other cities would have been found and put on the list of locations on the wiki page Just posted. Unless they just recently added brand new ones or something.
They kind of undid the nerf with the April patch. So, yes, they’re worth doing again.
Sure it would be nice if the NPCs didn’t just repeat the same lines they’ve been saying for the last 3.5 years, it would be nice if they had conversations like real people that weren’t always about the same old thing. It would be really awesome if the game engine could generate new and exciting conversations that were always relevant to the current situation. Until someone creates that AI maybe we could just have Anet hire some staff to sit in game and control the NPCs and talk for them. Wouldn’t that be fun? Maybe they would discuss your character’s outfit or something.
To be fair, a number of the NPCs in Lion’s Arch have had their ambient dialogue altered to mention the events of the recent past (specifically Scarlet’s attack on LA and the recovery since then). But I do get what you’re saying.
I don’t play with the currency exchange stuff, so I can’t help you with that really. But do pay attention to what Danikat said. If you’re buying gold from people or websites, then you’re violating the terms and conditions you agreed to.
Viper reaper/Zerker reaper
PS Berserker (Warrior)
Ah. Well, I really have no idea what to do in your case, then. I didn’t even think you got pvp gear from the booster. And the pve gear should only disappear if you leave the Silverwastes map without fully consuming the booster.
Did you fully consume the booster, or do you still have the booster in your inventory?

Duh@moi. Stupid Hoelbrak, pretending to be 100% when it wasn’t. And I do have an eye test coming up, too. XD
Thanks again for your help, all!
It’s covered in snow and hard to see! Blame it on the snow! Glad you found what you were missing.
Have you done Claw Island as part of the personal story? The Wiki says it counts towards world completion… given that your toon is 20 days old, sounds like that might be a possibility.
~EW
No, Claw Island doesn’t count for 100% map completion. I believe it DOES count for Krytan Explorer, though.
Yeah, it does sound like you somehow just missed a whole zone. So, do go triple check everything.
Do wvw maps still show up as part of the percentage counter? I know they don’t count for Been There, Done That and “100% Completion” now, but I wasn’t sure if they still factored into the number shown on your map.
Otherwise, triple check Caledon Forest, Lion’s Arch, and Plains of Ashford for the new stuff added when they did the NPE. Also, check that you have the extra WPs they added to Orr some time ago.
I don’t really need a lesson in risk vs reward, I’m trying to point out that there is no logic in what they do and that its totally rigged, like they play favorites with people who happened to buy early BLT skins but everyone else can go f- themselves – its dumb and nonsensical – if it was up to me I’d make a ton of weapon sets exclusive but they decided to re-release them all minus 2 sets – its ridiculous.
So, your point is “They’re watching what we buy and trying to deliberately punish people who bought later Black Lion skins”. Good to know I don’t have to take you seriously.
Gambling is always going to be a risk. You take a risk, and you might not come out on the winning side.
Incidentally, they’ve added the ghastly grinning shield and greatsaw to the Mystic Forge loot table. The prices for those two have been dropping. I haven’t seen any sign of the scythe or anything yet, though. However, considering how they’re making more and more older, expensive skins easier to get again, the Fused weapons (and the rest of the Halloween ones) could be brought back, too.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Movement_speed
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Swiftness
There’s a wiki article giving you a list of traits and skills that boost movement speed. And the second is the article for which skills, traits, or items grant swiftness.
Were you trying to join a map that had already completed the meta for that round?
That depends on which class you’re playing. Every class has at least one or two options to give a speed boost, even if it’s only a temporary one. Warriors, for example, can use a trait to run 25% faster while carrying melee weapons, use Signet of Rage or Balanced stance to briefly get Swiftness (+33% speed boost), use a warhorn to get swiftness, etc. Engineers have a trait that grants swiftness when equipping a kit. Necromancers have traits that give +25% while carrying a dagger or by being in death shroud, a signet to give a +25% boost, and Spectral Walk to give Swiftness.
On top of that, there are certain runes that also help.
I would guess until Monday morning.
No, I don’t think exotic armor needs a stat change option. Generally speaking, it’s really cheap to buy or craft pretty much any exotic weapon or armor piece.
With the exception of Southsun Cove, there are hero points in every non-city map in the game, both the old maps and the new ones. Go get all of those. You’d have to do at least some of them no matter how you chose to level a character, anyway.
They are apparently back today, and on sale.
Here’s hoping y’all see this.
Yep, the irony is not lost on me, considering I was just complaining this morning about this. I still think it is anti-consumer practice and not all happy about it.
Anet (and many other businesses, online and in real life) does this to create an environment of artificial scarcity. This makes (many) gem store customers buy items sooner instead of thinking on it because the items may/will be gone soon. Anet gets paid, people get their items and scratch that impulse buyer itch, and the cycle continues. Now, you may not be that kind of customer, but the model clearly works to some extent; if it didn’t, they probably wouldn’t stick with that tactic.
You have to have all the items in your inventory. Just have a full stack of 100 mystic coins in your inventory, and put the stack into the slots at the forge.
Throw on every XP boost you can find (food, birthday boosters, celebration boosters, exp booster, guild boosts, etc.), and then go do the DS meta.
I didnt get chest for finishing. I checked inventory side by side ant search by “Hunt” and “chest” and i dont have it. I have only completed journal and completed achievement. Cant rebuy it from Grandmaster Hobbs in LA either. Bagred the Hunter give me only completed journal and don want to give me more
If you only did the journal, then you’re not done with the tier 1 collection. There’s more.
His name wouldn’t happen to be Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, would it?
He prefers SIR Nicholas, if you don’t mind.
I did 1 st tier collection and dont get recipe for The Hunt and Essence. Cant reset this, collection is done. Any ideas?
Did you open the chest you get for finishing the tier 1 collection?
Switch class and gear and redo the whole jumping puzzle you’ve already completed? Maybe spend some extra money and gold on those mobile trading posts, bank, and rez orb?
I just wanted to point out that you can go to the pvp lobby or any wvw map, get items from your bank/TP/vendors, and then click Leave the Mists on the pvp or wvw menu. It’ll drop you right back on your previous pve location.
They’re a rare drop from Black Lion Chests now. It was in the patch notes for the big April patch. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-April-19-2016/first#post6122828
Dude, all you have to do is swim down to the area. You don’t have to do a JP or anything. You’re making it way harder than it needs to be.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scarlet's_Veil_Skin
Any chance this could brought back in some way? Preferably in the gem shop since the Scarlet’s shoulder and glove skins are available for sale on occasion.
Well, the shoulders and gloves were always a gem store item. The veil was a meta achievement reward, though. If they did ever bring it back, it’d probably be to the laurel vendor.
I agree with Randulf. If you enjoyed the scavenger hunt aspect, then I’d check out the legendary shortbow precursor collection. I’ve only done tier 1 so far, but I really, really enjoyed it. And now that (most of) the bugs for it have been fixed, it’s even better. It’s a fun chain.
Yes, it’s possible. Yes, it maintains its stats and its ability to change stats.
I have a hard time seeing RNG gem store purchases as “prestige” items.
they were unobtainable, very few in circulation, making them some of the rarest items in the game, and they were valued far higher than the dime-a-dozen “legendaries”.
how is that not prestigious?now they’re the outcome of mixing a bunch of cheap common items…
its like taking a steaming dump on the mona lisa.
How is it prestigious? Having one of the skins isn’t really anything special, nor does it inspire honor or respect. All a person had to do to get it before was either get lucky with RNG back at the first Halloween, buy it for a ridiculous amount of gold, or get luck with RNG at Halloween 2014. Now, people have a chance to get them again, once again by RNG.
The Mona Lisa is an exceptional piece of art that someone actually put many, many hours of painstaking work into. Someone taking a dump on that would be far worse than Anet making an old gem store item more easily available again.
2012 halloween skin prestige ruined. bravo anet, another unique item sullied.
and to those saying “it was never guaranteed not to return” actually anet said long ago that they weren’t brining them back because they didnt fit the theme of the game,
no i don’t have a source because it was so long ago, but i guess we shouldn’t be surprised with Anet changing their direction like the wind.
I have a hard time seeing RNG gem store purchases as “prestige” items.
These are considered an armor piece and thus wouldn’t be visible if I have an outfit showing, correct?
Correct.
Were you doing unique dungeons you hadn’t done since starting your current Dungeon Frequenter rotation? Repeated dungeon paths won’t count.
The hard part of having Zojja around for any story is getting Felicia Day to have time to do the voice. But I also really love Zojja and hope we see more of her in the story.
As Asrat quoted, all players (past, current, and new) who buy HoT will get one of the boosts.
It’s a bug that happens to people sometimes. A relog usually fixes it.
They said armor sets not individual pieces of armor, so no promise was broken
Hidden Arcana
For example, armor sets are now exclusively designed as in-game rewards while outfits are primarily Gem Store offerings.
This. Context, plus noticing that additional word, is important.
I don’t think mea was being rude. So, please, let’s stop the fight over nothing and enjoy the shinies (or not enjoy them, if you don’t particularly care for them).
