It’s me.
We meet again, Smaug.
Oh god.
Back in my day, you had to farm for 75 ectos and be rank 5 Deldrimor to be able to afford those.
I don’t know, these kids have it easy
p.ss are they dyeable like the originals?
;) It’s pretty easy to get them now in GW1, though, as long as you’re not afraid of some grind. And yes, they’re dyeable. Changing the dye gives the gloves a slight hint of the color, and the aura around them changes to the dye color.

it’s my understanding that they were adamant to avoid capes as back pieces because they were just too typical in RPG settings. But wings? my oh might my.
They used capes in GW1. They didn’t for GW2 because charr (basically).
You can also glide over to it from Chak Hollow. Take the updrafts up at Jawatl Grounds.
Yup, I’d forgotten about that.
Destroy/delete them.
All you have to do is either participate in the meta event chain for taking over the Thornwatch Pylon (part of the chain for Outpost: Southwatch) or run down there after it’s been opened by others doing the event chain. Doing so takes you right to that place.
Kralkatorrik is the one I’m leaning towards.
Not gonna happen.
As long as these are being sold in the gem store, there will always be a fiscal incentive to add more junk to your bags:
I can’t imagine that they see much of an income related to people buying those. Those are one of the things you get most often from achievement point chests, black lion login dailies, random personal story rewards, and black lion chests. A better example would be Inventory Bag Slots or Bank Tabs.
Mmmm Castiel . . .
On Bourbon ,One Scotch, One Beer..I Drink alone.
You know, when I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.
Over 800g (~1.2k staves) into the forge and nothing.
The drop rates on these are abysmal.
The next time you want to burn 800g, you can feel free to send some to me for the Buy Pretty Things For Me Fund.
I’ve made about six or seven human characters over the past three years, and in my experience the god you choose doesn’t seem to make any difference.
The weapon specialist will always be next to the black lion agents at the Black Lion HQ. He’s not in the vault, as far as I know.
Yay! Good. But, just so you know, you could have probably gone to the same Black Lion NPC in LA and gotten it there. I didn’t even know the skritt had an option to give you weapons now.
Ok, good to know. Have you tried taking the weapon tickets to the normal black lion weapons specialist?
Now I miss all of the old Lion’s Arch chatter.
By Ogden’s hammer! What savings!
More violets, less violence.
Check the second tab at the vendor.
Yes, anything you unlock for your home instance will appear in all racial home instances.
You can go to any of the home instances on any character. If you want, you can avoid the human one forever (outside of personal story steps).
can I not put in a crafted +10? has it got to be the +5 i removed?
You can only put those in specifically designated Agony Infusion Slots. Your current backpack can only take either defensive or omni infusion (like the Versatile Simple Infusion you used to have in it).
Yup, definitely still bugged.
There’s only one infusion slot on those crafted back items. You didn’t lose anything. You can just reapply the Versatile Simple Infusion as normal.
You can’t re-design a classic game mechanic in the hope to achieve a better game, when in reality the original design is what drew players in.
Except they have re-designed it, and they did so successfully. Might as well deal with that fact because it’s not going to change.
Wong. You haven’t presented any statistics?
Nor have you. Your point? On second thought, nah, there’s no need to answer that. I’ll just let you continue to play the complaint game. Carry on.

No.
Yup, you reached the cap.
As far as I know, that shouldn’t happen. Could you post a screenshot of the item with its stats and info showing?
I’m quite happy with them being for the most part useless since they are a gem store only item. If they are taking up to much space you are welcome to delete them.
They’re not gem store only. You get them (a lot of them) from achievement point chests. You also have a chance to get them from your black lion log-in daily rewards.
says there it’s the mouthpiece you’re trying to charge. looking at your collection pic, you’ve done the mouthpiece already (it’s the part found), and need an Oiled Orichalcum Horn instead to charge
This. You’re using the wrong piece.
You’re wearing/showing Reinforced Scale Legs. The item required is Scale Legs. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scale_Legs

You’re probably allied with Sea of Sorrows, as per the new server pair-up thing they started this weekend.
I can easily kill those npcs, but it’s the fact that I saw my health bar draining to somewhere mid-way which shocked me. It just shouldn’t be allowed.
I’m level 80, the monster is level 15!
You’ve played this game long enough to get at least one character to 80, and so I assume you must know how to dodge. Or how to use your class to absorb/evade/mitigate the damage from the hit. If you’re an 80 in exotics, you won’t have any trouble against a level 15 mob (assuming you’re in a zone that downlevels you to within a level of 15) as long as you actively participate in the combat.
As for “it shouldn’t be allowed”, it’s Anet’s game. It should be allowed in their game because they want it to be allowed. And that choice of Anet’s appeals to many of us.
No GW2 customer should be expected to absorb/evade/mitigate the damage from an enemy npc if they are nearly 4 times above their level.
They should if they’ve played the game long enough to know how the game works. Regardless, GW2 has never hid the fact that it’s not a traditional MMO. If a customer doesn’t look into the details of the game they’re about to buy, then that’s on them.
This is a valid question: what gives you the right to decide to change an MMO so drastically as to make higher levels meaningless in lower level regions?
My answer:NOTHING
No one had to give them the right. No game developer is 100% beholden to the conventions of the genre their game fits into. Anet wanted to try something new, and so they did. They also had every right to do so. You’re allowed to not like it, but Anet didn’t commit some cardinal sin by trying something new.
Also, higher level player abilities not meaningless if you actually actively play. If you prefer to stand there with your thumb up your backside, then yeah, you’re going to be kicked in the face by the low level mobs.
That’s interesting: so, you don’t find it hard to initiate all those protracted combos? That’s probably because you’re so used to doing it, and also when you first decided to roam in those lower-end regions, you had no choice but to perform those mental acts.
Well done GW for forcing us into this position!
(I won’t comment on the Elementalist)
Yes. Believe it or not, they had to learn they game they were playing instead of falling back on habits from other games.

I, personally don’t enjoy balancing to the point of not feeling like I’m stronger, more advanced and more capable than newbies, or low level monsters. I want to feel I have achieved something.
As others already said, it sounds like you have a simple Learn To Play issue, then. I definitely feel and look more advanced and more capable than new players in the new zones. I feel that way when I’m fighting pretty much anything in typical pve, too. If you’re not feeling that, then you either should consider changing something about how you’re playing this game or maybe find a different game to play.
1. You can’t, as far as I know.
2. There is no ascended jewelry crafting; it stops at 400. There’s no way or need to “remove” the crafting profession. You can have two crafting professions active at any time, and you can deactivate them to learn other ones, if you so desire. If you need to use Jeweler again (to make jewelry for yourself/alts or make components needed for legendary crafting), you can reactivate it by talking to a Jewel Crafting npc. You could also learn the other crafting professions on other characters.
Crimson Plateau JP Bug for Part III.
It seems like there are a lot of people needlessly stuck on this part of the collection for Part III. From what they say if someone goes and tries to get credit for the collection the area bugs out for 10 mins + and everyone then has to sit around on a ledge and wait and hope that 1) no one jumps down or 2) that someone selfishly re spawns to see if they can get credit and if not reset timer and log off. This is inconvenient please fix it.
There’s a guy here who said hes been camping for 5+ hours and has not been able to get it.
The 10 minute thing seems to either not work or be very finicky. I stood there with a group of people last night, waited 13 minutes and didn’t see a single person pop in over there or jump over, and the event still didn’t fix itself.
Here is something interesting. This guy just got a Ghastly Grinning Shield weapon (not skin) from the Mystic Forge. Maybe they’ve made an unannounced change to the MF loot table, or its a bug and its dropping weapons it’s not supposed to.
Very strange indeed. And now everyone will be throwing blue and green weapons into the forge all day and night.
I’m not sure but I think these items are what you would get if you applied the skin to a weapon and then used a Transmutation Splitter – instead of giving the original skin item back the splitter would give you it applied to a random, low level weapon.
I thought those were supposed to be account bound, but it wouldn’t surprise me if there were exceptions.
From what I recall, the splitters only gave you back the upgrade, stat weapon (which would be soulbound), and then the skin on a weapon without stats (which would be account bound). But, like you said, there could have been exceptions.
The tiger isnt appearing at the Crimson Plateau even though the health bar is there. People are told not to start or finish the JP for 10min but not everyone listens so you cant.
Unfortunately, waiting 10 minutes doesn’t seem to do anything at all anyway. I waited at the perch off to the side of the area with a group of four or five other people a few hours ago. We watched the area like a hawk for 13 minutes, and then one of us went over. No change happened, and no tiger appeared for anyone.
Where do i sign up?
Jumping must be difficult with otter paws. I feel for you.
1. Have you tried simply restarting the game? That will usually get rid of any weird graphic bugs like that. If that doesn’t work, then maybe try contacting support.
2. As Veronica said, that’s not a bug; you just can’t have two sets of weapons equipped on an ele or an engi.
In your first two sentences, you complain that a level 15 mob nearly killed you. Then you say that the scaling system makes the game look like “child’s play”. What?
Anyway, the scaling system is there for a (good) reason, and I’m glad it’s there. It keeps us 80s from completely plowing through mobs before the at-level players can get in a hit in. Even with the scaling, you still can have a hard time getting credit because things die so quickly to all the 80s around, but it’s way better than most other MMOs.
Yes, the new legendary caused it.
