Of course it doesn’t take much energy to loot, but when the loot button doubles as an interact key for every thing else in combat, its a tedious system that just needs to go away.
This I think is key right here.
Too many times I see someone pick up my spare frost bow, only to immediately drop it because they’re constantly spamming ‘f’.
Oh, also, someone mentioned Dark Souls as a counter-point.
In Dark Souls PvP, all rewards are given to the winner directly, and immediately following the kill. Only against AI enemies do you have to loot the bodies, and even then, not all.
In PvE you can get away with it. Conjures will be ideal though to make up for the long swapping times.
Depends on what skill. I don’t know anyone who uses skale venom, for instance.
How do you get past the 5 player requirement to unlock gates? Is there a way of jumping over to the next portion?
The gates adjust themselves to compensate for the player count.

Brought me back after leaving the game for several months, and several friends.
Make the reward for hard mode a title.
Sound good?
Well, there’s four worlds in the hub area. I’m guessing those will be released later in the month.
Just a reminder to people that you have a dodge button. You never need to leave the front lily pads if you have good timing.
And staircases you can’t jump on. Or duck. Or do anything but walk up, down or attack.
The “baubble get” sound is too close to the sound effect for getting a rupee in the original Legend of Zelda to be a coincidence.
Do it Arenanet. I will bear your children if you do.
I remember I used to use withdraw, roll for initiative, and that trait that gives you initiative when you use a heal skill in combination with the shortbow to make quick getaways.
I doubt it was a build of max efficiency, but it sure was a lot of fun crossing so much distance, and being basically impossible to stop mid-escape.
When people complain about having to turn off auto-attack, it just makes me wonder how they deal with projectile reflection when using ranged weapons.
I often find myself running out of uses before the 1 minute is over. Generally its a matter of how much I use the anytimer. FG 1 does great damage compared to the anytimers of our real weapons.
But the greatest part of FG is Fiery Whirl. 900 range okittens cd is awesome. Keep in mind that you cannot be hit while whirling around. So you can use whirl to evade hits. You can also combine whirl with FG5:
- whirl through your enemy
- as soon as you cross the enemies, press FG5 + click on yourself
- FG5 will then immediately be triggered when whirl endsI would equip fiery greatsword 100% of the time, if I could.
I was mostly referring to the utility skill conjures though reading through my post again, I can see how you’d make that mistake. The greatsword has comparatively small cooldowns to the other conjures.
by “effectively” i basically meant make them more part of an elementalist… maybe even extend the duration or uses.
Number of uses isn’t so much the problem as much as the cooldowns on the skills are. You end up either prematurely dropping the weapon every time, or waiting on 20 second cooldowns, which no elementalist has the time for in combat.
I used it a ton on my thief while leveling… Then I learnt to use the shortbow.
I can imagine it getting decent use on a warrior though, seeing as they have little to know access to conditions, or AoE.
Well, you cannot really nerf the conditions themselves, so that leaves the duration and cooldown to nerf (lets face it they won’t nerf 83 dmg on the physical dmg omg!). Duration for the traps are instant (spike trap), 3 seconds (fire+poison) or 5 seconds (no dmg frost trap). Pretty much if anything does get nerfed for ours it will be the cooldown.
AoE size is a possibility, though I doubt whatever comes will have any meaningful effect on traps.
hope you like it!
i went to the evil genius smile, came out quite naturally dunno why xD
Oh man. It’s like you read my mind with the top hat.

I love it!
Loading, It is a boxing match so both fighters are in the same weight class, and around the same skill.
So, in otherwords, your argument is extremely biased, ignoring all factors other than stealth.
Okay…
For Aion, if an assassin is hit or in combat, he/she is revealed and cannot stealth until combat is over. I think that would be a suitable solution for thieves in GW2, especially because a thief can still surprise a player and kill him/her in a few seconds, but can’t then kill an entire group of players without a chance for them to fight back because of constant stealthing / rendering issues.
Stealth in GW2 was designed around using it inside of combat. Hence why our most readily available method of stealth is a short range melee attack.
A change like this would require a massive rework of multiple trait lines, utility skills, and nearly every weapon set.
Jungle Spider and Black Widow have stuns on their F2 as well.
Gryphons.

it is only a visual effect bu stealth DOES NOT GIVE any other kind of buff. stealthed ones can be hit, can be killed can be CC’d.
Not true. the buff is that the thief is immune to all targetted skills while stealthed. That’s a huge buff.
I don’t like stealth stomps. The others aren’t so bad because they have a high recharge. A player has to decide if it’s worth it to use Mist Form for a stomp in order to guarantee the kill because they’ll lose their panic button for 45 seconds.
How many skills are there out there that require a target that aren’t a downed skill?
Seems to me stealth stomping is mediocre at best in any situation other than a 1v1 where the thief has already downed you.
50% greater endurance regeneration, rolling for protection,
Wrong traitline
My bad.
Still, 50% endurance regeneration is a 5 point trait, meaning most rangers will have it.
50% greater endurance regeneration, rolling for protection, and protection popping up basically any time a glass cannon comes after you in a trait line that gives vitality, and boon duration. There’s definitely some great synergy in there for making a ranger more survivable.
The spirit related traits are bad mostly because spirits are bad in general, not because of the actual traits.
Down state is annoying in 1v1.
In group fights it’s great.
“I feel 180 centimeters tall!”
Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
I feel 2 meters tall!
Stealth rezzing is amazing in PvE.
Just saying.
Yea I was refering more to an UI related thing XD, but I do sometimes wonder why we don’t have a trait like “10% chance to regain +1 ini on critial hit” right now most of thieves in WvW put their traits related to invisible effect or steal
Don’t we have that as a minor trait in the precision tree?
its doesnt matter when u cant see ur target from the first atk and then after the first atk u still cant see him tab targeting someone u dont know in which direction he is wont save u from a 9k bs. any thief video makes it so plain how broken the class mechanics are…
Holy cow. Please put some effort into your posts.
This is basically unreadable.
Pretty sure all Asurans get this.
It happens to me on occasion despite having the shortest possible height.
I’m pretty sure Signet of the Hunt doesn’t work while in combat.
It does work. When you enter combat though, regardless of having a speed buff, you decrease in speed by something like 30%.
Stealth is extremely limited on non-thieves/mesmers.
It’d be like having a skill that removed adrenaline from warriors, or virtues from guardians. Why would you take something that’s only useful in a quarter of your fights?
1 stun break or a well timed roll and you’re in the clear.
If you have a 6-10k hp, then you do not have time to use stunbreak. You will die instantly.
Is it even possible to have 6-10k HP? Isn’t the minimum around 12k?
Minimum health is 10k. Full glass cannons get more than that though because the berserker’s amulet gives some vitality.
Can someone use a better translator and make some logic out of this post.
Ranger’s Longbow 2 skill is a channeled series of shots similar to the warrior’s hundred blades skill. Even if you invis/stealth it will keep firing. The best way to avoid it is to just move out of the way, apparently this gentlemen thought going invis and not moving would be enough.
It actually tracks through stealth if initiated before the invisibility.
All channel attacks do.
Why would you post WvW screenshots, and then talk about sPvP?
Any ability that one shots somebody is stupid. Period.
That’s an opinion if I ever saw one.
Why is the ability to kill someone quickly stupid?
Counter play relies on the player countering it. Not the game doing it for them.
Like this, but less horrifying.
Snaff confirmed for coming back as a Risen.
One of us.
One of us.

Roll for initiative OP, gives infinite initiative, and escapes.
1: How do we know this screenshot is from BEFORE or AFTER the massive AS nerf?…or that you didn’t change your armour AFTER dying, BEFORE taking the screenshot? This applies to EVERYONE posting these screenshots and complaining.
You know, I don’t think the thief is overpowered or anything, but honestly. Look at the screenshot. You can see the marker for the donation person on the map, and the “!” for the Black Lion Trading Post.
It’s clear that this screenshot was made post-Lost Shores.
I couldn’t stand the phrases Asura Warriors say. “You’re really good at riling me up”. “I’M ALL WOUND UP”. “FULLY ADRENALISED”. Annoying as hell lol..
What do they say when they get Might applied on them?
“I feel 6 feet tall!”
Its not the wait its wondering if I got him or he made a run for it…
Auto-attack, and watch your combat log.
Well, we’d need every single one of our weapon sets, and something like a fifth of our traits to be reworked.
Then there’s the whole, thieves have nearly no access to protection, stability, or retaliation. In addition to being tied for the lowest amount of health with classes that get piles of all those boons. That’d be an issue to, seeing as we’d be losing out on a great deal of our damage mitigation.
If you’ve played a ranger long enough to get a legendary weapon, chances are you play ranger enough that you should put the greatsword on your ranger, regardless of being underpowered.
You’ll never be able to make a simple list. A class being easy to be played to a usable level does not translate them to being easy to play at a high level.
The results you get out of the class also don’t translate into difficulty. Playing a ranger is not hard, just not as rewarding as other classes.
I don’t think it’s ready yet.
It has potential, but it needs a lot of work before it’ll work.

Explain this bulls***.
Full exotic. My toughness was 916 – a bit on the glass cannon side, but except for the small CnD stack I didn’t have any vulnerability and I don’t think the attacker had much might because he was alone.
916 a bit on the glass cannon side?
That’s as low as a level 80 can get.
