See, I don’t think you understand and how glicko works (or how SoR works in general, but that’s a story for another day).

For sure, there’s a chance that DB could make it into t1 knocking us down. If it happens, okay, fair enough, the best servers make it.

For that to happen SoR has to loss by a lot constantly. And they have to lose by a lot over and over and over again.

If we lose by a lot this week, but just do a bit better bit still come last, we gain points. And if Dragonbrand is still pwn’ing, but they aren’t as pwning as hard, or TC and FA slowly begin to gain a bit more points, guess what… you got it.

Now, you guys at SF are nice enough guys, and you’re exceptional forum warriors (I’ll even give you all the honour of number one off the game) but if you ever feel like picking up a calculator at all, give yourself a couple of hours after your shots. A few glasses of water. Help clear your head a little bit.

I hope we at SoR, or on Blackgate, or on Jade Quarry, are not under the impression we’re more skilled than anyone else? Please…

You disagree? Please indicate to me a server with a low, medium or heavy population that has ever beaten 2 “Very Heavy” population servers, and then climb into a higher tier. Regale me with stories of how this plucky server with next to no coverage was able to claw its way to victory through sheer skill and strategy alone.

One thing I’ve noticed the past several weeks from any of the SF posters is they always try to impress T1 with their skillz and beg for respect. But everyone in Tier 1, friend and foe knows FOO > SF by 100 fold on JQ, both in terms of coverage, skills.

Special shout-out to two BG member for joining my party in BG Bay to coordinate our 2v1 against SoR and flip their waypoint. Neither of us wanted to hold bay, we just wanted to flip it, and it was pretty kitten cool to find some like minded people from other servers.

I’m on JQ and I’d agree with this. Now, last night it felt like SoR and BG were coordinating like this, but I prefer to write that off to opportunistic circumstances. Actual coordinated 2v1 action… we should all be above that at this stage.

Naw it wasn’t very coordinated at all. They said “we want to push in!” after having attacked our siege with their siege, which was then taken out by our siege. We pushed in with about half, on purpose, that half wiped and began running back, then BG pushed and when most of both were down our other half pushed and held long enough for the first half to run back.

The communication was there, the coordination wasn’t because kitten those guys, we wanted bay.

@Poli, i’d love to hear the names of said people from SoR who’ve contacted you or anyone else in your guild for a more direct 2v1.

I don’t remember the name of the person who added me, but it was a player from SoR. Also, it’s not as if either of us sat down with the other team and organized a complex attack strategy to take you out, it just so happened that the aims of both teams aligned, and that it was in the best interests of us both to have that push co-ordinated. Why is it sad to use smart battlefield strategy in order to win?

lol the best part of the in depth communication we had there with BG was that “Hey, Jed, if you get back here, I bet we could wipe ’em both!”

Would like to thank SF for letting me in their voice chat for the night while we poked holes into SoR’s garri all night. Was fun running with some fresh (for me at least) commanders for once. Had to leave before potentially capping it sadly but I hope you all got it eventually.

GJ to TW and the rest of SoR following them inside their. They held up a defense against BG and JQ’s SF for a very long time and I’m not even sure if we made it all the way in or not since I had to leave.

As always, ANET get better servers! The lag from a 3 way garri battle is unavoidable regardless of the numbers each server brings sadly

Last night, they pounded SOR and BG down to about 100-150ppt each… at the SAME TIME across ALL maps!

Anyone who does that is a little more than ‘pretty good’, in fact you should probably be boxing up your more worthless relatives, bags of cheetos and inflatable animals then go mail them to Foo in thanks.

I don’t think I’ve ever been chastised for under complimenting someone but I suppose I could rephrase it to “pretty kitten good” but either way, its an acknowledgement of what they put forward.

That said, when I posted before that we were ticking 365, I don’t remember the exact SoR/BG ticks, but i’m pretty sure they were around 150. JQ NA can perform “pretty good” too.

A lot of it has much less to do with Blackgate and more with JQQ… see, some people on another server decided they’d try for the 2nd place and in doing so made themselves the big fat target.
Welcome to being piggy in the middle, from someone who’s been there.

The #1 see’s you as a competitor, the #3 is just kicking you to the point you’ll cough up a testicle and breakfast, because you deserve it and at a personal level, I just really like planting people from SOR and burning their ppt. At least I like you that much, JQ has no redeeming features aside from being a screaming red horde of disorganised name tags that we can fairly consistently punch bags out of if we’re not vastly outnumbered by at least 4-1.
(I’m still laughing at the fella saying ‘we only got 40!’, hell mate, if I had 40 KnT on VOIP, on at one time, you are all ended..)

Except FOO, but they are somewhat exceptional and really the only thing holding JQ where it is because everyone else is mostly mediocre-awful at holding onto anything.
In fact I think if FOO decided 2 nights of the week was ‘Lets hit mobs!’, they’d probably wake up at the end of the week to find a smoking crater of ppt with SOR + BG dancing around it and roleplaying yak herders.

Just before I posted this, we were ticking 365. Just because FoO gets us pretty good leads does not mean we can’t hold our own just as well.

Also, the TSYM Necro I just fought at north camp on SoR for 10 minutes until a thief came along and joined the fight….It was a fantastic fight until that happened. (I was the grenade engie who couldn’t aim his grenades because its sleepy sleepy time)

2v1 only happens when you provide the path of least resistance. In a game where there are 3 factions trying to score points a good commander will find the fastest and easiest way to accomplish this. That is why you will hear about the 2v1 from every server. The solution would be to recruit to cover the vacancy you have in the NA now I would say.

This time around I’d say its more one of those silent mutual understandings that the enemy of my enemy is my friend so both commanders, wisely, shy away from the other to focus JQ. Thats fine though. Twice this week EB for JQ was down to just the keep with all walls down, being trebbed from both sides. That was freaking fun.

Tonight was mostly just the 15 of us SF getting a feel for TW play style since it has been so long since we’ve regularly fought them. By the time the meeting finished the orange swords were in inner bay so we didn’t really have time to get a proper 3 way map fight going.

I was watching the north while we were hitting bay. JQ had a 30-40 man hit Dawns, then move to NE Garrison, then come back to Dawns, then move to Spirit. We had a few people in each spot to call out for reinforcements, but it never looked like there was any danger.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. SF never runs more than 15. Our roster is maybe 25 large at best.

We’ve been noticing the SF small groups, and appreciate it very much. Hopefully we don’t zerg you with our 5-10 when you are less than us.

We also never run LESS than 15. Every time you see an SF there are EXACTLY 15 in the area at that very moment!

Protip: Do not poke the Jedbacca when he has a headache. He will stop focusing on his main objective, taking garrison from BG on BG BL, and quickly wipe you off of the map.
