Alright, that makes sense, then. However what I really need to know is if it’s made in the mystic forge. Which I doubt in all honesty. However it could be the case and be an account bound item as there is no auction house slot for it in the AH.

I am currently trying to find a way to find the item on this api to see what flags it has. Does anyone know how to use this properly?

Ah forget that :/ There’s not a ready search feature, and it will only show things that have already been discovered. If you’re not prepared to pull down the API entries and sift through them, I recommend looking to see if the thing has appeared here:

The items. Doesn’t an item have an ID number that indicates if it’s from a recipe or just ordinary loot? Or maybe I’m thinking of their ID’s in the raw data file.

Without a bug occurring, they won’t show up in the API until someone makes or discovers them.

Every time, it’s immediately. So don’t expect them to hang around this time either.

The icon is used by Godskull Rifle and Harpoon Gun (the latter was updated from a unique skin into a copy of the rifle).

so now they’re 700 gems, only a few months after they were sold during a tiny window for 1000 gems with no indications that they’d be returning. Kinda feel a bit swindled by this, leaves a dirty taste in my mouth.

I remember them being 500 gems. Do you have a source for their previous price? I think you may be remembering poorly.

I do: my own personal data files where I track skins info. I don’t tend to update BLTC prices after they’re entered because you never know when they’re going to run another special.

The only thing I know about it is it’s a guild decoration. I don’t have a scribe yet :/

Just docced those over the weekend. They’ve been around for at least a year, but as you can imagine, there’s not a lot of interest in a low yield recipe for a common item ;D

But if, come springtime, people get curious what a salvage kit is good for in the forge, now they’ll know.

They only put skins in the store, not anything that comes with stats. Belinda’s Greatsword in the gem shop was only a skin and nothing more. What was data mined about the Delaqua Family Blade is that it’s a full ascended item with stats. If they sold weapons or armor in the gem shop that had stats the entire community would be up in arms (no pun intended) with claims of the game going down a pay-to-win route.

If the Delaqua Family Blade turns out to be nothing more than a skin then yes, I can see it going into the gem shop. But if it turns out to be an ascended item with stats, like I said, we’ll have to go through a scavenger hunt to get what’s needed in order to obtain it.

The item is definitely there to be seen, and it is an ascended weapon (assuming it didn’t get hidden again with the release of HoT). Honestly, I wouldn’t know what to make of that. There are enough good reasons that we’d never see this item in player hands, but then its purpose remains a mystery. We never found anything similar for Caladbolg or other NPC weapons, so it doesn’t feel like they’d have to abide by the same rules we do regarding gear. So, why make it? There’s no need for it as a test item.

That was an advertisement for last year’s Halloween. And best I can tell, no one found it then.

A cursory search through items ids released around Halloween 2014 yield up no recipe. I think you have a legitimate gripe.

I discovered that all the old precursor skins have been readded as Perfected Weapons. These must be salvaged in the process of making the precursors.

This might take them out of the inheritance chain, since they aren’t being directly incorporated into forging the precursor. Meaning if you had a precursor before HoT and decide to bind it now, you might not get the old precursor skin.

They did actually, they are the current rare drop for map rewards in Snowden Drifts.

After testing a bit the rare mats like lodestones giant eyes and silver doubloons drop only once every like 15-20 events, so they can be farmed but only very slowly.

About as fast as leveling toons to 21 and sticking them in a JP.

For giant eyes, this is a rate boost of about 1,000,000%

the wiki entry was written at least a year ago, and in the middle of a major release and new Halloween content, it’s pretty easy for minutiae regarding old stuff to not get updated.

I can verify it’s not being given out this year.

It’s time to stop defending them with that bullkitten, as it has exactly nothing to do with the problem. They literally set the price for this and most other items on the trade post. Supply is too limited to rein prices back down to affordable levels.

I got a different one for her, so there are multiple out there.

I’m not really in a position to verify that I’d heard it was a problem. Then I verified there were new precursor items and that my RF got converted over.

One of the methods for obtaining old skins was supposed to be Pact Commander mastery opening up vendors. Players are reporting them as placed, scattered around the world. Keep an eye out.

That was from a series of quests three years ago. It hasn’t been back since. With the changes to the LA map, many of the locations it sent you are inaccessible.

Colin Johansen says he wanted to revamp the events into a Mawdrey-style collection, but there wasn’t time for it this year.

That area is home to five rare bosses that don’t seem to show up with any regularity. They have some unique rewards (monkey king tonic and mini).

You stand in the corner up the cliff ledge and have one person kite the boss to where all can attack. Stay up on that hill so adds don’t do as much damage.

Don’t attack the adds they just respawn?? – possibly in greater numbers (small skeletons)??

Let me add some important info.

The Lich has a personal AoE attack that he fires off every so often. For every one of your allies that it hits (including pets, minions, and other summons), he makes a minion. These minions shout to grant retaliation, regen, protection, and quickness, which quickly stacks up. Hitting these minions with AoE without stripping off the retaliation is a death sentence.

Leaving the minions is a judgment call. The Lich can destroy them to heal itself. If you need to turn your attention to them, try to kill onlu one or two at a time.
