Better output has to bought. If it says it will give you iron and you don’t have ore synthesizer two, I expect the problem is in the item description :/
What doesn’t jive:
The TP listing for those items had been a steady 10 gold for months. Then they get bought out (1 remaining at 75g), partially relisted at higher prices, then bought out and relisted again in the space of 12 hours on Jan 14 (the rmt transaction).
If these had been the same listing for 8 months as he claimed, he’d have only gotten 40 gold. Maybe 300 but highly unlikely. Not 500.
The kittener is lying.

Look at that thread on reddit one reason why I hate reddit. Anet respond and it get down vote in to dirt because reddit forum do not agree even though it is important reply. Current -32 point. If OP did not link Anet respond in reddit post no person ever see it. Now post from Anet bury and any explain from Anet respond later bury unless make new post.
You seriously need to stop giving a flying kitten about reddit ratings. Stop looking at HOT listings and follow the NEW ones. It’s the only way to really follow the board there.
Me. They keep telling me the fault is mine, though.
It’s not 100%. Keep trying.
A stop-gap measure was introduced on the 12th. You can get this from another champ devourer.
•Branded devourer ichor can be earned by defeating the giant Branded devourer in the Fields of Ruin.
Here I was thinking you were going to bring up killing off players in real life if they died in the game.
There’s a better solution. The lower-tier precursors can be marked as unforgeable to make them a little more idiot-proof. I added this to Matt’s buglist.
Oiled weapon crafting... Missing 1 component.

Which leads to the missing item: Exalted Sword Core
The bloodbound weapons are being offered by the same vendors as those that are giving pieces for legendary armor, so you may want to funnel some weapons to them regardless
Are we going to get more Lightward weapons?

It does seem odd that they would make the start of a set without going the rest of the way
Added yours to the main thread.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Nevermore-Can-t-re-buy-item
Add the Nevermore IV lay-to-rest items to the Hobb’s buyback tab, or allow them to keep dropping until the lay-to-rest step is achieved.
Take note:
Just because the guy posted a particular account name doesn’t mean it’s actually his.

Give all early stages of Precursor the NoMysticForge tag.
The best idea is just to lock these kind of items from mystic forge and destroy function.
salvage these items would be the only thing you can do.
EDIT: I think you get bad support. Support actually can try to get back your item but it’s just a one-time backup.
In this case, since it’s just one item, they could just get him a new one and not have to worry about account restoration.
PRISMATIC LODESTONES:
These items are Consumables, and indeed, double-clicking on one will cause it to be consumed. The problem is, consuming a Prismatic Lodestone does nothing for you except cost you an expensive Legendary component. Either make it a trophy or make its functionality more obvious.
Hello Arenanet, will this game ever have any specific in game items like you used to get from Underworld in GW1?
I believe this is in the game already, just not as a player item.
As far as neat skins for exclusive content…. uh…. have you even bothered to look?
For you, the day Trailblazer’s was added to the Forge was the greatest day of your life.
But for me, it was Tuesday!
They will probably not restore your mask, but you can always try. At any rate, anything that old can probably be recreated pretty easily nowadays via crafting (stats) and the wardrobe (skin).
You guys are awesome.
In a related note, Angel has also made available a GW2 IF, called Drooburt’s Last Wintersday .
Now THAT is an interesting bit of trivia. Explains why the ID# is so low, too.
I recently used it in Southsun, to no effect.
The whole event is being gutted Teq-style, so I expect this won’t be a problem in the future.
In the near term, keep trying to get into a late map, where there isn’t enough opposition to actually take him down.
It’s not something we’re supposed to see yet, I don’t think.
This SEEMS to be exactly the same JP from Two years ago and definitely Is the same from last year from what I can see.
It is not the same JP as two years ago.
Mechanically, very little has changed from its introduction. You used to only get one present for running the JP. However, when you reached Tixx, he gave you a choice: get a present immediately, with one more waiting if you made it through; forego the immediate gift, and collect three presents at the end; or forego the extra presents and get returned to Tixx if you fell off the puzzle or ran out of life.
Given how buggy the snowballs at the end got this year, the second chance would have been a godsend. But then you’d probably only be getting one present per run, and that’s hardly efficient.
But… isn’t this argument one hell of a slippery slope?
It shows my current state of mind when I read this and think, well, yeah, but that’s at the end of the JP and it isn’t slippery if you don’t get hit.
Just waiting for that SAB genie to pop out and gloat about how he’s transformed the real world.
As the hour crept up to 5 AM last night, I came to the sinking realization that I was still short about 50 drinks. This, after pretty much a whole night of bell choir, following whatever effort I needed to put in to advance the repeatables one last time. So I made a quick run through all my characters and stuffed them full of candy canes to get that achievement finished before buying snowballs from the karma vendor and trying to get to sleep with enough caffeine in me to light up Buffalo.
I think this one achievement has me physically sick. Certainly as I tapped away at one last iteration before work, I was barely awake and running on muscle memory. I was highly tempted to call in, but I’m not ceding defeat to my worried wife even if my body has already thrown in the towel.
ANet has a habit of locking things off once a holiday is done, so I took the extra 10 minutes to run all my minis and other stuff through the forge before heading off to shower. I’ve spent enough on this Winters Presence. I’m not risking waiting for another year on it.
Tonight will be different. DAILIES AND DONE.
I still need one more enchanted map piece to drop via RNG before I can finish off Treasure Hunter.
IIRC, those map pieces are divided out amongst various regions in which the chests are found. If you need one scrap in particular, check with the wiki to find where you should be hunting to finish it.
I’m exhausted.
It’s hard to get beyond that sentence, because once I muster the energy I have to acknowledge that I am doing it to myself. I’ve spent many sleepless nights the last couple of weeks pursuing Winters Presence, alongside chipping away at the PvP League meta and farming up components for HOPE. Before that, it was farming masteries – an easy prospect in Central Tyria, but not for the Itzel Mastery that I needed to finish HOPE I. There’s also the new Fractal back piece and every specialization weapon collection that I’ve barely scratched. Then there’s all the old collections I haven’t finished yet. And forget leveling Scribe, because even my patience has a limit, and I sure as hell don’t have the gold.
We’re used to complaining about having no endgame in GW2. Well, that has changed and it is now upon us. We have a choice of endgames, whether it be hunting skins, masteries, fractal achievements, a functional guild hall, or that shiny new Legendary. Maybe you’re lucky and you had the resources for one or two already. Good news, you can pick your next focus and sequester yourself away from the light for a month, just like the rest of us. Grab a tractor and harvest that flax seed. Buy a watch to time your meta, and a calendar to project when you’ll have enough of whatever currency it gives. Grab your friends for those daily pip trades. Whatever floats your boat.
We are quick to call these a money grab – just another means of getting us to shell out cash for gold. I have a different feeling on this. In the absence of extensive maps, we’ve been given things to occupy our time; these were designed to take forever, not only to give the devs more time to develop new things but to give some sense of accomplishment to all the work we put in.
But it feels like very little of this pays off in the mid-term. When the achievement isn’t something I can knock out in an hour, it’s time to strap on the comfy shoes, because the journey might take a couple of months. I’ve been working on Exotic Hunter and Treasure Hunter since their release, at a pace that could generously be called glacial . I’ve worked on pretty much anything else that comes down the pipe as I can devote time to it. As big as ANet’s table is, my plate has grown to match. But without the ability to check off some of these things on the list, it’s starting to suck my enthusiasm dry.
Wintersday is over tomorrow. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get replaced with something else that will take a month to earn.
First of all, thank you for reposting this here. There’s been grumbling regarding that.
You say Dune Soarer spawns ‘every time’. Do you mean you can intentionally trigger this event?
Also, some info regarding your Friendship Bracelet bug.
there were a bunch I was confused by. for example, it came up with a recipe for Princess from these item id’s: 69917, 69851, 70062, 70038, 69944, 70002, 69913, 69846, 69905, 69994, 69959, 69824, 69885, 69973, 69952, 69916, 69877, 70022, 69832, 69949, 69914, 70007, 69820, 69941, 70021, 69957, 70037, 69918, 69938, 69940, 69904, 69899, 69859, 69818, 69998, 69868, 69894, 69815, 70016, 69865, 70049, 70015, 70054, 69956, 69833, 69963, 70024, 70050, 69947, 69860
not one of those are actual items, so I assume there are invisible items the game uses to check if you’ve killed a certain karka, for example.
It appears several collection unlocks are assigned to Trophies. Some of these are either consumed immediately or don’t actually enter your inventory, but the behind-the-scenes mechanics has them as an account-bound item, briefly placed in your possession just long enough to process the unlock. The Precursor collections have a ton of these; I’ve been posting them on the wiki for the last couple of months to help get those collections docced.
Edit: Seems you figured that all out already
(edited by Sariel V.7024)
yeah, I noticed these too. one will use iron, other will use steel (for example). I didn’t think either was obsolite, just a lack of variety. (only 3 tiers of runes, but 6 tiers of materials, so each rune tier occupies 2 material tiers)
The more salient difference is the tier and number of lodestone bits used in making each one.
We could set fire to them so the Orphans won’t have to burn themselves to keep warm.
I’ve had 3 drop from presents so far. Get to grinding
Might be intentional. She’s really biding her time for a particular opportunity.
I had a theory on how this works. Your gathering tool has a level, just like your weapon and armor. When you begin gathering, you temporarily swap from your weapon to the tool, and it compares the tool’s level against whatever your are harvesting.
Tonics are largely level 0. They override your weapon. Chances are good they also override your gathering tools.
Try harvesting in disguise in queensdale and see if it still fails.
While you’re at it, how about make it so that if a teammate disconnects at any point, your team doesn’t lose a Pip for losing and you instantly give that teammate who disconnected dishonor. You know, instead of the current system where everyone loses a Pip. I don’t care if he comes back in 1 minute, you fall behind real quick in PvP when you’re doing 5v4.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too gameable. Every team would specify a designated dropper, who’d dc in the event the team started losing.
Wait, you would rather spend copper/ silver than to spend actual time to farm the mats in your home instance???
Not sure who you are asking. I would not, and I don’t much care for the idea. However, I’m not going to reject it out of hand, either.
you make more money if you are a farmer(miner) now at least.
Sucker’s game. Easier to get orbs by gardening.
A fellow guild mate of mine also ask Anet to double check if there system is 100% accurate because his been accuse of Real money trading but he never sell any in game item for real cash and what shock us is his been in active for almost 1 year and the last time he log in to the game was when HoT are coming out then anet insist that he sold some item with real money which is absurd.
This is a very common story.
10 to 1, your buddy was hacked. Idle accounts seem to attract such attention. He needs to open up a support ticket, clean house on his computer and change his passwords. All of them.
Coming soon: Plasma Cutter Harvesting Axe, 1000 gems
The fix is in. Now we wait.
No real need to dredge them up when they all say the same thing.
That’s definitely not where I’ve seen him spawn.
Everyone is complaining that this is a gold sink. Somehow, they’ve completely missed the very prominent purple triangle that’s attached to about every item being bought and consumed, every activity being run, and every bonus being posted by friendly guilds. This was a karma sink. With 6 days left on this, I figured it might be worthwhile to give some tips I noticed while doing this stuff.
- Every activity has a daily bonus in rewards (haven’t verified this with Toypacalypse or Mayhem). With Infinirarium, you get double the presents the first time you do it. With WW and Bells, you get a separate reward of ~6k karma for each of your first three successful completions (runs or songs), in addition to the usual 1.5k.
- You can buy presents with Karma. The same karma you do nothing else with the rest of the year. The same karma you get by the hundreds from events and by the thousands for doing Wintersday games. Presents get expensive fast; long time players already have millions stored up, but you can still rake in 100-200k in short order hanging around Divinity’s Reach doing Wintersday things.
- To accomplish this, take advantage of every karma boost available to you before setting out in DR. Karma food and utilities come from presents by the fistful. Pop a Winter’s Blessing and keep Minty Breath up from Candy Canes. Your guild bartender might have a 24h karma boost for you. Equip your karma infusion if you have it. Karma banners and bonfires are pretty easy to find in the Wintersday area. Finally, add a karma booster if you can’t find a bonfire.
My current daily:
- With Karma boosts active, run Donation Drive to all 30 orphans. You should net 35k+ karma from this (60k+ if you don’t have to buy gifts for the orphans).
- Visit all three trees in DR for your free presents. Get the daily one from Tixx, too.
- Do a full round of Bell Choir with karma boosts for 18 presents and 30k-42k karma.
- Do three runs through the infernal JP for 30 presents and 24k-36k karma.
- Do Infinirarium for 50 presents and ~6k karma.
- Do any dailies involving snow and not involving skritt.
- Buy as many presents as I think I can from the karma trader (50-90).
- Leave DR and pursue dailies everywhere else. Retain sanity.
