This may not prove helpful but it’s something: Rather than sit waiting, wander around that area and slightly north (the dredge area and the Whispers camp) and make sure all the npcs are alive and not waiting for activation. If anyone tries to flag you down, talk to them and see if that gets things moving.
You can only hold 250 baubles to start with. You can enter with more than your limit. Baubles from bouncy chests ignore the limit, and high-value baubles can take you over the limit; however, once you are there, you cannot pick more up until you do something with the ones you have.
There are upgrades you can purchase in 1-3 and 2-3 that will increase your bauble capacity. These cost 250 and 500 baubles, respectively. Make these a priority if you plan on farming baubles.

If you don’t own the expansion, you won’t be able to access the LW releases at no cost.
Edit: Oh, you are asking if they will unlock without logging in (during the live release)? Doubtful…the same question was asked about Season 2, and we know how Season 2 worked.

Being well-read, versed in Latin, a devotee of fantasy and enough other conceited attributes to make you sick, I have no trouble in making names. Most of my current stable of GW2 pcs are named after fancharacters I made years ago for The Legend of Mana, though I also do references to other things.
Example: Tamarind. Tam is a stealth reference to the legend of Tam Lain and also named after a fruit (much like many anime characters are named after food). Tamarind is a faerie in the old sense, which liked to play with people as if they were toys and didn’t care too much if some got broken. She’s 4’5" and a thorough hedonist and sociopath. ANet modeled the Nightmare Court after the same thing I modeled Tam on, so it only makes sense she’d be a Sylvari.
We’ll have to retire two of the current achievements, Casual Fractal Hero and Core Fractal Hero. While we’ll introduce new achievements to replace the ones we’re retiring, any progress made toward the old achievements will not count toward the new ones. If you’ve been working toward the old achievements, you have a few weeks or so left to wrap them up.

Just delayed… You sound new. Anything delayed in gw, gets eventually forgotten. And the main problem here is not the preheated but rather the fact that ONCE AGAIN they simply cut away a promoted feature (which might not be interesting to you, but to many legy crafting is the one reason they bought this expac.) to work on something else that is also overly delayed. … Not to mention that they have a team of 70 people (1/3 of their staff) working on a NEW expac while the current is not just unfinished but clearly being taken the resources away for them to be able to finish it (with all the advertised features)
You know, this is how we got GW2 in the first place. One dev started working on a “wouldn’t this be cool” idea, then another, and eventually they just stopped working on the thing they already had.

It’s already bad enough that most of the Crystalline Ore I’ll ever get will be from stories, because those kitten noxious pods never spawn, and when they do they never drop ore.
Never spawn? You’re not looking. There’s about one per quest branch on each path to the bosses (about 4-6 x3 total about 12), usually hidden somewhere in the vicinity of each quest. After beating Mordy, there’s another 15-20 made accessible.
Say I have an account that predates the Free-to-Play change. I figure it won’t get the chance to play any of LS3, since the story happens in areas those characters cannot reach, but do they get the free unlocks, for future use?
Gaile, if you’re still checking this thread, I’d really really really like the SAB finisher. I didn’t have much in the way of surplus cash back when it was released and it’s an item I’ve been waiting patiently for years for.
You’ll find people fit multiple categories. I hit most of those groups.
Explorer (primary motivation: curiosity): While I delve around maps every now and then, I mostly satisfy this urge by digging into the item/skin databases and seeing what I can learn. I also log mystic forge experiments (mainly, which items can go in)
Grinder (progression): There’s a lot to work with here. Along with every collection available I also periodically add to my wardrobe, even if I don’t intend to use the skin I am adding. I am attempting to fill out destroyer and corrupted weapons at the moment. I’m also working on HOPE.
Achiever (progression/pride): I devote time to pursuing these where I can.
Pretty much all of these are neverending. Even when I finish a goal, there’s always one to take its place.
Parts of the backpack cost PvP League Tickets (Wings for Wings of Ascension and Certificates ofSupport for Gift of Skirmishing. Your ability to get these is limited to a certain number of tickets per season and requires you to go up in rank. In other words, your access to these is somewhat limited.
When new backpacks are released, the old backpack parts will have their costs increased. This will probably apply to the wings; certificates of support may be a common component,
Components of the Gift of the Competitor require doing a certain number of achievements in each individual season. While it looks like players have been able to advance forward in season achievements, there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to go backward. In other words, you can do season 3 if you finish season 3; if you sit out season 2, you might not be able to get the associated piece.
It appears you only get one Gift of the Competitor piece per season. If you miss out on a season, that could permanently set you back a year.
For a long time I used Mace/Shield with on my Mercy Guardian. Most players will tell you shield is pathetic, and they’re probably right ;D Right now I’m using Torch as my offhand. Alternate set is either GS or ranged, depending on needs. Heal, Utility and Elite are shouts, in order to boost support capabilities, with traits mainly in shout support. Not only are you good for getting people back up, but you provide group heals, boons (swiftness and stability primarily) and condi cleanse.
I have one question to Gaile and the Devs. Why is there no link on the GW2 page to reddit similar to the ones to facebook, and twitter at the bottom of the page?
That would make it so much easier to check the GW2 reddit page instead of having to do things this way.
The facebook and twitter links are official channels. Reddit is not. ANet has control over what you see on the official channels.
AMA is a “Reddit” thing however, it is usually because it is done for celebrity interviews and there is a moderation element involved in the Q&A process. Since that was pretty much a non-issue here, I’m not really sure why these forums couldn’t be utilized, other than their personal preference for Reddit as has been voiced before.
Reddit is far better suited for handling a conversation of this nature. Responses are threaded individually, so bits of the conversation are easily linked, followed, and responded again to. On this board there might be 5-10 pages of posts between question and response, depending on how much attention the initial post gets..
I think the gliding one you are talking about is accounted for, but the description on wiki is incorrect, it’s called pulse room glider and has a description on the wiki referencing the pulse room, when in game it is ley-line confluence
