The 2-copper value on these things shows that you need to go after low-level crabs. Find some in the starter areas.
For a while, the skill was actually working for me. Last time I played though, Lightning Pull was undershooting the jumps.
I repeatedly obliterated a miniature city, scrambled across the inside of a snowglobe, rang bells, delivered clothes and toys, and drunk myself into idiocy in order to procure a portable snowstorm.
That moment when you discover some scribbled writing in your pocket.
More than likely it’s being used as a means of money laundering. You’ll have to figure out the details yourself though.
Three sentences in, and I can already tell who’s writing the post. I don’t even need to look to the left – Evon’s chief apologist

Localizing the entire game would be a ridiculously massive undertaking. I think you have some idea of this. On top of all the dialogue, the item descriptions, attack names, skill descriptions, etc, you also have to get voice actors and rerecord most everything you’ve ever seen in-game. Every byte devoted to text or spoken word would need to be recreated. Russia would need to have a VERY significant player base to even justify looking at this, much less green-lighting it.
I apologize for coming so late into this thread – major thanks to Konig for messaging me of it’s existence, by the way – and all I can say about this is wow! Congratulations! Well done!!
I honestly am very impressed with the effort you all have undertaken to get as far as you did with the little scraps of information that were provided, and I seriously wish I could give everyone involved in this a hundred achievement points for your hard work. :-)
I do want to do something more to mark this momentous feat, and I’m eager to wrangle up an appropriate response but as you may or may not be aware there’s this thing happening at PAX South on January 24th that we are focused on at present (hopefully you can understand). I plan to talk more about this tremendous accomplishment with you, and I hope to be able to follow up on this with everyone in the coming weeks and/or months.
Excelsior! ?_?
Wandered into here (found some untranslated asura stuff, found this post while digging). I was curious, did anything ever come of this?
Inn keeper: Don’t worry about it. I had someone in here recently that might be able to help you out they were a Charr by the name of Gladium Greivesbane. Normally I can’t stand the #char_insult#, but this one was alright. You can find him hanging around the Cantom in the Black Citadel, where the #different_char_insult# go to take a break from burning down villages and spend their spoils on eat and drink.
<player then heads to the Black Citadel with two pieces of knowledge- the name of the NPC, and that they need to find the Cantom, lore savvy players will have picked up that Gladium isn’t the char’s first name, but instead their rank which the inn keeper was ignorant of, they’ll also know that Gladiums don’t socialize in the same area as members of a legion. And so instead of heading to the northmost Cantom Factorium which is where most players will first see the word Cantom, they’ll head to the Gladium Canton. This rewards lore knowledge, while also passively teaching people without lore knowledge about Charr society without shoving it down their throat>
<Assuming zero lore knowledge, the player would obviously talk to the city guide NPCs for directions>
Assuming zero lore knowledge, the player goes to exactly where the NPC is said to be. Not finding him there, he then reports it as a bug, causing headaches for devs, people on the forum, and the wiki.
You really have too much faith in the patience of players.
Ceara might have been tragic, but she was never good. She was borderline if not sociopathic all along and showed no consideration for others or for society, and it’s worth noting that she worked with the Inquest before her encounter with Omadd’s machine.
This is the point I was going to make. Ceara displayed sociopathic tendencies very early on in her career and continued to get worse as she got older. Even going so far as to join up with the Inquest.
I really should read entire threads before chiming in. XD
I’d have to take a pass on this too. Even before Mordremoth starts to pick Caera’s/Scarlet’s brain, she’s already showing sociopathic tendencies. She travels from one stop to another, not making relationships, using people until she gets what she wants from them, and then discards them. That may not be necessarily evil, but it is definitely selfish to an extreme, and not worthy of making the effort to preserve.
If you want something stunning and no one uses, try the Jotun Greatsword. It costs like 500 karma.
It’s been like this for some time. The cost for some of the SE items is another piece of armor. Looks like someone forgot a column in their spreadsheet.
Such a pain I don’t know what they’re prepping but they need to get it done.
Stitch has it right. If you really want this, you are best off killing ambients, which will die immediately and not give the conditions a chance to interfere with your score.
To all those that are mad about this, it’s clear that what you care about isn’t the skin itself but how rare the skin is. If that’s the case, there are plenty of items that are no longer available. Transmutation Stones, Found Heirlooms, Portal to the Heart of Maguuma, Fortune Scrap, Endless Common Clothing Tonics…
likewise I figure most players are salivating over the prospect of hitting paydirt with one of these items rather that using it themselves, so it kindof balances out.
you’ll need to be more specific.
Play 1 or 2 games of unranked PvP each day, many of the tracks give an selectable exotic weapon as a final reward. This also yields around 2 of the 3 dailies within say 15mins.
The dungeon tracks award weapons along the way, at each 25% mark. They give a piece of armor at completion.
This just came across reddit the same day this was posted. I imagine one of you is the poster. Here’s what they determined, for anyone else reading this:
The hint mentions bringing the Raven and Vision Crystal very prominently, but almost forgets to mention bringing the Tamed Spirit too. All three need to be in your inventory. If this is not your problem, then something else is up.
B-but… how will I know how my running speed compares to that of a centaur?
Which do you mean? An Elonian centaur or a Central Tyrian centaur?
So, Bobblehead formula makes finding karka babies a breeze.
Jezza’s Flamethrower - Persuaded a friend of mine to get a stack of those for farming issues. His major complaint was, when farming in groups, he was not able to tag enough mobs in time, they were mostly dead before he reached em. I told him about my flamethrower (engineer mainclass) and he was interested, but not wanted to switch classes. So we got him those. You don’t do much damage with those, but you sure tag a lot of enemies. The red button is sadly NO blastfinisher ;_;.
Try this one out. It only last for one minute, but it is an exact equivalent of the Engineeer flamethrower.
We accidentally shipped a MF change that has some rare items like Halloween skins in the tables. So this is WAI just earlier than expected
If this was accidentally put in the game early, was it kept in the game or did it get patched out again?
I don’t think they’re going to comment. It’s hard to tell looking at trade post records. The stock fluctuates but not enough that it couldn’t be resales.
> •Fixed a bug that prevented the Guild Weaponsmith from selling the Guild Speargun.
finally!
Every time I find a consumable I like, I load up with a stack, and it is promptly nerfed.
I can confirm that there are occasional maps where the Melandru event isn’t bugged, so to those trying to get a collection step done there: keep trying. You may get lucky.
I dont know if this belongs here, but the “risen high wizard” for HOPE IV in Tarnished Coast seems to be constantly bugged. The meta "Gates of Arah is always stalling on the first Event, Making it impossible to fight the legendary Risen high wizard.
Guild [TZ] runs all temples and Arah defense right after reset each day, and they keep their eyes on multiple servers/maps to find unbugged, working chains. Join their squad for a better chance at finding an event that works.

H.O.P.E IV the Catalyst
I have used the soul battery fragment to gather the four soul energies required to make “Energized Soul Battery Fragment” but it won’t unlock.
I have everything else in the collection except that, and the “Transcendent Energy”, which requires it.
I have redone the gathering of the soul energies, as well as destroying the soul battery fragment and getting a new one, to no avail.
I had this problem 6 months ago and submitted a bug report.
This was recently fixed (and you might know this already). You should be able to double-click the battery fragment to charge it once you have the other pieces, assuming it didn’t charge itself.
With SS being the daily yesterday, I decided I’d try out Lightning Pull to see the current state. To my amazement, it was working flawlessly. Was I just lucky with lag or was this actually fixed?
Players that don’t have any characters at/over a certain level threshold will get a different set of dailies.
Aahh…so since I have two 80s and a 40, that makes my Daily pool geared more towards higher-level content? :/
[/quote]
You get the dailies associated with the level of your highest level character.
I know there’s a tradition to never speak ill of the dead, but that’s quite a turn around from the fury many of his fellow soldiers (aka players) expressed at Rurik’s “tactics”.
kitten stiffed me on that dwarven ale , too.
(seriously, there were no medics in the team we brought deep into risen territory…).
Sure there were. We had to kill the team that held the door for us!
This one was given a workaround. There is a second devourer you can get the item from. The location for it is in the hint for the item itself. This has been true for months.
(edited by Sariel V.7024)
Oops, those extra added achievements were a fat-finger on my part. They’re all stuff that was cut or not released or unfinished, including that “Treasure Hunter” achievement (there’s another one with the same name in the rare collections category).
That recalls the Hero of the People collection, which was “made” around the same time…
Hi! Mr. Andrew can we get a general list of all the items that has been added in the mystic forge?
From what he implied, only the Halloween items were added; the rest of whatever were precluded.
There have been no reports of these things since the first day. The Halloween items may have been removed.
Yeah, I get that everyone wants every skin. Good for you. But some of us have worked for months to buy particular skins only to have them become dime a dozen. Do we all work for rare items like this? No. But for those that get their enjoyment out of collecting rare skins, this is a complete slap in the face.
takes a drink
Look out game play police.
What happened to play your way?
Sorry someone had to say it.
It was willfully misinterpreted and kittenized by a few hundred different players to mean any variation of, “You don’t get to dictate to me what I can and can’t do!” Welcome to the fold.

You didn’t make it to the end chest. The real one is shortly past the one you opened. That one requires a bomb.
Let’s look at some things first.
1. First, look at other ascended gear. What kind of costs do you see in materials and money there?
2. Translate that to the Jeweler system. Instead of silk and leather, now you need gemstones, most of which are already inflated in value thanks to amalgamated gemstones. Also consider that you’ll probably have to incorporate AGs into your creations.
3. Compare the costs in step 2 to prices on the items you can already buy from the Laurel vendor, or get for free from fractals.
4. Who’d ever make even one ascended trinket?
In Tangled Depths, two possible locations are along the path to the Rata Novus control room, and at the top of the room at the far end of SCAR lane (which you can reach more easily by jumping down the waterfall hole from the surface and gliding).
I posted one other TD location on wiki, which is in the Decayed Hive just north of the Teku Nuhoch exit. I’ll have to see if I can find that SCAR lane location there’s probably a couple more too.
Former NSP guild [TZ] (North America) attempts to do a full run of all temples daily. They attempt to monitor different IPs to find freshly starting chains for each temple. Look for members in Orr maps right after reset.
The good news: champ quaggan problem is on the known issues list….
The bad news: …since February.
I completed this last night, but the quest was very particular on which character I used and visiting the NPCs in order.
Were you farming giants recently?
This is what happened:
You went to Brisban at around the same time as someone else who had the Angry Wintersday Gift quest active and helped kill Prototype Assistant Lennor or Zokaggrot the Greedier. Either one drops the cog.
(If you got it in the last couple of days, it might have been my fault ;D as I was just south of their spawn killing giants and also grabbing the cog for myself).
You can get this cog without owning the Angry Winterday Gift, but you cannot progress the quest without both.
If you do own the AWG and have it bound in your wardrobe, take the character to whom the cog is bound and visit Collector Terksli with it in your inventory. After that, track down Rikka and show the Cog to her. You’ll get the cleaning rag from her and can take the cog to Skrittsburgh.
I’ve said it before
Farmers always escalate their making nuisances of themselves until the devs come in and ruin it for everyone.
This is not a proper clarification. If this was a court of law
If.
I did quit GW2 in december, because Anet didn’t deliver nearly 50% of promised content on the expansion release. I ran out of content after 2 months. I’m wondering how far is anet from releasing Legendary armor?!
Any news on that?
What content are you counting that ANet missed out on 50%?
Well, you know, 96.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
There are 9 sites for ley-line events, assuming that hasn’t changed since Tuesday.
