Well, after all is said and done it’s still a boat. You put kitten in it below the water line, what do you think is going to happen?
edit: article + hole is censor bait. oh c’mon.

I don’t really enjoy PvP. I don’t enjoy the thing I turn into when stressed by other players, particularly when it comes from my own team. So I avoid it. Better for all involved.
WvW I hop in to every now and again.
Well, we all know how far asking him will get us.
I ran the Aurene quest for the first chapter of living world season one and never gave her the smoked fish. I kinda wanna see if I can raise Aurene to be evil. Is there anything else terrible I can do?
You should feed her an orphan instead.
Come to think of it…
Was Taimi limping in her last appearance?
While we’re at it: I personally find the name Acht sounds Hylek for some reason
completely lacking in ‘tl’. Can’t be hylek.
Over the whole friggin’ nation?
My impression over the last few days is that matches are improving. People aren’t bailing out of games nearly as much. I don’t see how this change would have impacted that, but I’ll take it.
I’l need to remember this. That Not So Secret dive never works out for me.
1. Stabilize a rift with the Rift Stabilizer.
2. Select a combination on the Stabilizer that doesn’t have a set destination.
3. Jump into the rift repeatedly until the transformation happens. This can take a while.
I’ve never had this happen before up until now. I was doing events in Bitterfrost Frontier and my inventory was full. There was a Steel Chest on the ground that dropped from an enemy. According to the Wiki it always contains either an exotic or ascended item. And normally this has always been true. But tonight when I went and opened it, it gave me a blue longbow.
Do you have Autoloot? If so, this is what happened:
When the drop was generated, the game saw that there was an exotic item (probably a champ bag) in the items dropped and generated a chest. Then, your autoloot started plucking items from said chest until your inventory filled up. There were still items to pick up, but because you had no other space left, it remained on the ground. The indicator that the item is there (steel chest) remains the same until you pick it up or it despawns.
This is very good news. Thank you Sir
Keep in mind that the skin has to conform to existing mechanics, meaning that your tuba has to sit on the hip, be held backwards in the left hand, and be used one-handed. Your tuba will have to be the size of a cornet to avoid clipping issues.
At what time will the Personal Wintersday Presents disappear from Blacklionchests?
Today
I’m not sure if anyone has ever actively gone out and tried to harvest coral but there are VERY few nodes on the world map. The drop rate for these vials, even with the achievement in play is atrocious. I am 7/83 (8.4%). This IS grinding. I have now memorized all the node locations and have to wait for them to reset.
The wiki tends to lag behind in matters of node placement, but after the initial outcry regarding vials I started updating the Coral page with potential locations. This only narrows locations down to an area, which I understand isn’t particularly helpful in a huge underwater setting, but it’s a start. The high end nodes also provide orbs for you poor fellas needing them for amalgamated gemstones.
BTW, you can check the nodes on multiple characters.
Resurrecting, because it’s probably still a thing ;/
I want to say how much I appreciate all this info. I’m going to leave this up over the weekend, then make up an attractive pie chart with sound effects and glitter and … Ok, ok, I’m probably not going to make a pie chart.
can we at least get a Venn diagram?
Link for Celestial:
Would love to know how the OP got his data. Unless looking into the game’s code itself, there’s no way of properly getting the data.
There is a color API that gives data for every dye. So, you can get the game data without needing to do anything that might cost you your account. ;D
I have mixed feelings. I see polearm and get hyped but then It turns out to be a kodan torch.
Be careful taking what that_shaman or other data miners toss out at face value. It requires some practice to interpret the results.
Besides, the only good the Consortium has ever done was rebuild LA, and I’m unsure even of why they’d do that.
That’s no mystery. They’re a mercantile association, chasing the almighty gold piece. They did it because it was good money.
Back before 4/15/14, PvP gear was a set of separate entities. You actually had to have PvP items to use in PvP; regular gear from outside was useless unless you permanently converted it. This backpack is a holdover from that system, given out during the first Wintersday. I can’t believe they didn’t adapt it into a consumable before adding it to the reward track.
BTW, there’s a PvE Toymaker’s Bag, with a SLIGHTLY different skin. I don’t think it’s available.
In about 2 weeks the things have doubled in price.
Here’s your only source assuming you saved any
Is there any way to get the Chaos Of Lyssa back piece recipe without paying the TP price of 1700g? That’s almost as much as a legendary. Is there any activity that gives the recipe as a reward?
Thank Lyssa I got mine back when that number was missing a 0 ;(
The only activity that gives it is Queen’s Gauntlet, and that’s on hiatus
There have been reports like this, although it’s usually along the lines of getting something completely unexpected. It’s probably a little data corruption at the source or they programmed a 1 in a million chance to give you any available item for whatever combination you put in.
This actually wouldn’t be as hard as you make it out. All you’d need is for two people to gather up a ton of food and then go hide somewhere not really accessible.
Can you post your experiences? Maybe like this:
- I can complete the activity in the festival area.
If you can complete the activity, do you make adjustments so such things as aiming and waiting until they are no longer invulnerable? (I confess to trying to smack them right away, and they really are invulnerable for a few seconds. )
I completed the activity in the festival area. I did it once. Here’s the concessions I have to make:
1. I play at 1-2 AM EST when the herd of players is thinner
2. I have to anticipate when/where the skritt are going to appear
3. I have to have snowballs already spawned or I may as well not try. Snowballs have a short lifespan when there’s 10 other people after them.
4. I usually have to get aggressive and close in on skritt to lower the number of players in the way.
5. This puts me in the way. Stability, because now I’m a target.
6. I have to throw through groups of skritt in the hopes of connecting with one
7. I have to go after skritt that are separated from the main group. Sometimes they will lag behind unnoticed.
8. I have to be happy with 1-2 hits per skritt group, at best.
This will take more than one escort, often at least 3. After that experience, I now go up to one or two skritt, kick them, and find something else to do ;D
I tried using a package of snowballs on the skritt in Lions Arch; not only did that not work, but some other player came up and started using my snowballs too. Bring extras :/
If someone is really so poor that they can’t afford the snowballs some also spawn on their own in the instance …
I noticed this while checking out bundles in general. Unfortunately, the free ones tend to show up only in later stages of the dungeon once the skritt have already left, and appear in very small numbers. You might get lucky and have a few around for when the skritt are after plant food, but that takes a full group about 15 minutes to accomplish. Not exactly a casual solution.
why wont you guys just get good instead of spending your time whining here?
Anyway, let’s have a fruitful discussion
Always a great way to start one.
I don’t see any of the armors that we’re tracking in it. It does, however, contain some skins that haven’t been released for more than 4 years.
The Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock has provided access to a couple of the missing PvP skins. Unfortunately, they missed a few that should have been caught.
Ebon Vanguard Harpoon
Krytan Harpoon
Lionguard Harpoon
Lionguard Harpoon Gun
Lionguard Trispear
Thanks, I wasn’t aware of that. Looks as if I won’t be bothering with dailies any longer, then. It makes me wonder how people get to the 25,000 total for the “Illustrious Achiever” title – let alone 60,000 for “Uncontrollable Achiever”…
It makes me wonder how you only received ~4k AP in the time it took to max your dailies when AP is so easy to get at that level.
I’ll let my representative answer this .
The other question I have: Is it possible to get 120.000 Candy Corn in 2 weeks? Without using the trading post?
You have 13 days to find out, and you didn’t list a first question.
We’ve got Mini Gwynefyrdd (110k) and the Shadow Raven (120k). How do you feel about these prices?
I could care less. If they don’t drop for me from a ToT bag, I’m not getting them.
I absolutely agree with this suggestion. However, you are not stuck at level 25 just because you cannot access decorations. Look here.
It can give essence of luck. That’s it.
Key phrase is ‘not yet been documented’. Certain Halloween skins were added to the Mystic Forge in weapon form, but we were never told which. Look at the Trade Post and compare Chainsword with Scythe. Chainsword has two expensive entries. Scythe has one ridiculously expensive entry. That suggests that there is no new source for Scythe (or someone is buying them as fast as they appear).
I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest this isn’t a bug.
In real life, an actual scythe has two handles coming off of the haft. You do not hold it by the butt-end of the shaft and swing it like a blade. You don’t hold it like a staff either.
But rather than looking at IRL or fantasy movies, you need to look at how the game treats wielding. The best analogue is Hammer, which is a wide two-handed grip and similar swing. The reaper’s scythe is a Hammer skin with the appropriate animations.
With libertreats and justfish for all!
You need to spend less time with Dara ;D
No, I think Taimi is being used as the stand in for the player when it comes to questions and complaints.

Fixed now, at least for me.
Sadly, now fixed.
It could be a case of those listings not updating immediately. I’ve seen that happen a time or two. But it would depend on what exactly it is that you are seeing.
I don’t know what’s more disturbing: the fact that ArenaNet does nothing about insider trading or the fact that they openly mock those who are bothered that stopping insider trading doesn’t seem to be priority (as John Smith has done in this very topic).
I want you to reread that post, that openly accuses ArenaNet of knowingly orchestrating the outside exploitation of their own game market while chuckling into their sleeves and twisting their moustaches, and you kittening tell me that’s not worth mocking.
If there’s dishonesty going on (and I don’t doubt that there is), I wouldn’t mark the game company as happily complicit. Grudgingly? Maybe. A developer warning buddies of his own volition? More likely. Company policy? Give me a break.

Maybe I better investigate this a little further… make sure the animations aren’t actually better with the reversed haft.
When the new Dragon Kamas are wielded, they have the blades coming out beneath the hands. Kamas I’ve always seen wielded much like an axe, so it would appear better if the models were flipped.
There is no place where combining 1 and 2 does not work. I’ve run this race probably 50+ times without the benefit of Lightning Pull. It’s still a bug that needs fixed, but the workaround is valid.
