-Tried joining through pop up box, clicking it does nothing. Going up to the instance portal prompts me to start a new instance.
-One person starts, usually 2-3 max get in, rest get sent to separate instances.
-This has been happening in my experience since the crash last night. Tried 2-3 different parties since, and all have this issue.

The increased difficulty is a bit of a gyp in that it’s a bit lazy (just adding more champions, etc.). However, I’d say the difficulty is pretty moderate. My party (albeit all 80s and familiar with the dungeon), cleared it in 20-30 minutes with no deaths.

I believe you would have better stats wearing the 80 exotics than the 55 (exotics? rares?).
If the 55 equipment has the same numeric stats as the 80s, then it would likely be the same.

I used to be up for any dungeon at almost any time, knowing the reward at the end would be consistent. Since the patch, I’ve gotten a bit more bored with less people wanting runs in different things. In addition, I don’t have as much motivation to go to any dungeon due to the changes. Not only is the reward typically diminished, it’s not consistent, since it’s still buggy.

The same cost, likely no (if you straight up buy everything). The underwater legendaries are probably gonna be the least desired. I think the last time I checked a few weeks ago, the exotic weapon component for one of the water weapons was considerably lower than one that people would want (say GS or Scepter). It was like… 50-60 gold cheaper?
I don’t think war horn is used as much as other weapons, so it’ll probably be “cheaper” than if you were to go for a highly sought after weapon.

Do personal story effects have ANY effect whatsoever? Or are they just to make the game seem unique?
Asking this because I finally decided to continue on with my story yesterday. I play a Sylvari, so early on in Mirror, Mirror, I had the choice to either go to an Asura or Trahearne to save Tegwen. I went with the Asura path.
During Through the Looking Glass, Tegwen and her friend Carys showed up again. They acted as if they had just met me. And above all, they said that Trahearne had saved Tegwen. However, the quaggan that I decided to investigate after joining an order did remember me.
Was my choice just tossed aside? I understand that all the stories converge, but talk about Trahearne stealing all the glory.

I think I wouldn’t mind the patch a teensy bit less (I still hate it) if the system was actually working properly. I ran a guild SE story run today to help a guildie. Two of us had already been in there once already (we did our story in the same party). We’re both level 80, we hadn’t done any dungeons run prior to it. He got 13s and 88,900 EXP, I got 9s75c and 66,675 EXP.

Agreed. Blade & Soul’s “difficulty” was all just in the form of beefed up attack and HP pools on enemies. It’s one of the things I hated about it. It’s not creative, it’s boring.

I rarely do the jumping puzzle if there aren’t other allies there. Almost always I will get ganked, or camped at traps. The puzzle itself is actually very easy once you know the path and the jumps. It actually grants a lot more checkpoints (at least if you fall in most parts of the puzzle, you don’t have to start over from the very beginning) than some other jumping puzzles in the game.
I would suggest trying to go with friends or allies doing the puzzle.
And a tip to anyone who has an AoE caster. I find using the AoE caster much better at navigating dark puzzle rooms than torches.

We did the Story mode with a team of only 2(!) players(it was the first time i entered this dungeon in story mode, so i didn’t know any of the bosses) and didn’t face any major difficulties. The Hunter can be tough, but with 5 people he should be pretty easy.
Are u trolling? or how do you guys in general define “easy”?
because I just tried this place with a team of 5 level 80, geared in rares/exotics and i dont think anyone enjoyed much of it.
First off the fight with constant kb elementals
Then the boss who cant move, aoes entire room, and kb. ’
Then the boss downstairs with all the aoes and the mobs spawning, not too bad, but so many aoes
At this point the dunegon bugged out as we met the voice, but nothing happened.This group has done all other dungeons previous to Hotw with not much issues, except catacombs which is also poorly balanced/designed, and I think my biggest gribe is that melee is ALWAYS punished, as well as the insane damage numbers.
Im a warrior with 3300 armor, almost 26k hp, and still these ice elementals do up to 20k if i am unlucky as i try to control/tank/whatever else stupid term u wanna use for that role in this game.
Im sorry, but I do not see how this is regarded as a fun nor balanced fight.
My party was 3 level 80s. A guardian (fully geared in exotics) and 2 necromancers (I have rares, but I don’t think our other necro had any). It was our first time going through, so none of us knew what we were doing. For the boss with constant knockback, after we went in the space to the left of the boss on his platform, we literally just sat there ranged auto attacking without effort. I think the NPC wound up tanking for us (zen bear is awesome). We had no difficulty against Hirvela, can’t remember much of that fight to be honest.
Lani, the one that spawns mobs was annoying. But we just kited him around pillars constantly and avoided the AoE circles. The Voice boss is incredibly easy and does pretty much nothing. The Hunter is annoying with the birds, but with a party that resses you once you go down, it wasn’t an issue.
There’s not much opportunity for melee in the dungeon (at least against the bosses), but the bosses themselves weren’t super difficult.

For CM Path 2, the enemies prioritize picking up barrels → attacking anyone carrying one → anyone in the vicinity. If you place a barrel anywhere in the nearby area, you see that they run after it and stop fighting you. I never actually beat this part, but I believe you have to have split the task. Have some people focus on killing the ones that pick up barrels, and then have the rest place barrels.
For the burrows, you need to damage the burrows and damage them fast. Try to travel as a group and take down the burrows as fast as you can. Make sure to take out breeders as well, as they spawn infinite hatchlings. If you leave one side alone for too long, hatchlings and other gravelings will swarm the essence collector.

If you’re being one shot, then I would guess that you need to add some toughness or vit. Only a few bosses in the game should have the ability to one shot you regardless of trait build. Is this the up close shotgunner boss in the basement? If so, try not to fight him in the tunnel, lead him out to the open outside and just hit him from a distance.

I’d like to know this too. My party had issues getting Arah to reset quite a few times today. We’ve done relogging, repartying, trying a different party lead, etc. At one point when I was by myself, I was able to get a clean instance. However, the moment I entered the party, it reverted back to the old one, despite after a party disband and relog.

For the first boss (is that the one that doesn’t move), my party stood in the little nook to the side of his main platform. Didn’t get hit by the AoE or him much at all. As for the last, we wound up separating him from his hound somehow. After that, it was mostly dodging, and ressing really fast. We had 3 people the entire run.

Jagged Horrors need to be horrible, not dead 5 seconds after they are summoned. Especially with a 30 second cooldown.
This is what worries me about putting traits into Death Magic. I don’t want to give the enemy a free rally. :/ The traits should be helping us, not them.

I know that AC Story/Exploration, CM Story, CoF Story/Exploration all gave 26s, 177k EXP. I think it may be the standard across the board. But if someone else can confirm that, it would be nice.

I could be wrong, but from what I’ve experienced, item drops are scaled to your level. Gotten some rares in CM and salvaged them for ectoplasm. The end reward for the dungeon is 26s, 177k EXP.

Every story and exploration path (at least from what I’ve experienced) gives 26 silver, 177k EXP at 80. So most people just do CM or CoF, as they are probably the easiest in the game.

Arcon, Aurora, Armageddon, Rubicon, Whispering, and Mortal are karma purchased armor in Cursed Shore (if I recall correctly). 42k karma per piece. However, the karma gear is not purely 3 stats. Some pieces will have maybe toughness, precision, condition damage. Some of the same set will have say power, vitality, condition damage.

Finally, if you want weapons, you have two options. Guess what they are? Fork over ~5-8g for a Mystic Wand, the ONLY tradeable 80 Exotic wand with TPC on it. The only dagger offhand, which I’m certain is what you want in your offhand if you’re looking for TPC gear, is called Malefacterym of Blood, and will run you about ~8g on the TP.
Whoa, wait a second. You can spend ~2g 20s (depending on the price of the 5x pieces) for a Mystic Wand. Just save up 50 skill points (which really aren’t hard to get – any dungeon run will get you 177k EXP at 80) and 30 Mystic Coins. If you buy the coins, that’s 60s max if it’s at 2s each.
Don’t fork over 5-8g for a Mystic Wand, buy the parts and throw it into the Mystic Forge.
