And if the Blade Merchant is there…
My money is on the return of the Bazaar and the merchant appearing there.

Called it!
But yeeeeeeee, I loved the Bazaar, can’t wait to have it back.

Depends on what the definition of hardcore is.
-Defeating Liadri
-Surviving/soloing random bosses when my party wipes
-Getting 550 some Charged Lodestones worth of various skins since the game launched (and plenty more to get)

Where did you mystically hear of this mini?
Check the mini section in your collection. Minis that will later be released tend to get shown there first.

If you have Mount Maelstrom, just hop to Golem Mark II when it spawns. Tons of downed/dead people for everyone’s Daily Reviver.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
There isn’t a feature for this, to my knowledge. You just haven’t kicked them, and they haven’t left. The only time I’ve seen parties disband automatically, is after a new build.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Yeah but you can just be in vigil keep and check if its open from there, and its always closed, i am sure there is no megaserver on straits of devastation so theres no point in going there realy :/
Every waypoint that is contestable, will be shown contestable until you go into the map and check yourself. With megaservers, i have seen balthazar open more often than before and if its not, the pre event is usually underway.
That technically/currently isn’t true. It may just be bugging out, but I have seen waypoints that can be contested, show as not contested (and thus I could waypoint there), from a different map.
Ones I’ve visited being on a different map, but they could be contestable:
-Citadel of Flame Waypoint
-Crucible of Eternity Waypoint
-Cloven Hoof Waypoint (for Ulgoth)
—-This one was actually contested once I warped there, so it gave me the standard waypoint you warped to is contested message. But it still put me at the waypoint, so no skin off my back.
-Random others I can’t remember the name of.
My unscientifically proven theory is that it’s still drawing up data of your current megaserver’s state (which includes more than the map you’re on?) and displaying it. It’s just what I’m assuming, since I’ve been plunked onto the same 2-3 megaservers, sometimes for days, based on node placement.
Sorta similar to how before, when you visited Hall of Monuments (which has no home server version I think), many currently contested waypoints were shown as free?

No clue how long it lasts. I believe relogging or even changing maps gets rid of it. I’ve gotten it before when LFG was bugging out and simply relogged to continue my merry way.
But why would it matter for Teq and Wurm? I’ve only ever encountered this issue when using the LFG tool. LFG Tool really isn’t the best thing for those two bosses. I’ve joined and left multiple parties for guild missions / wurm ferrying, and never encountered this issue.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
I’ve noticed a higher amount than usual (pre feature patch). Perhaps it was due to the discount on GW2? I tend to get spammed a lot more if I travel through Heart of the Mists, but I don’t know if it’s correlated in any way.

OT:
I would say that it is not stacking itself that made players bad, but rather bad players didn’t understand why they were stacking and thus gave it a bad rep. They seem to believe that stacking will magically destroy the boss without them taking any damage, when in reality it’s really the other way round. They’re completely missing the point.
Stacking against a boss is usually done to facilitate Fiery Rushes (I think), otherwise there is no point in doing so. Where stacking really shines is when it’s used to group up a bunch of trash mobs using line of sight so you can blind them with a single Black Powder, share boons and pick anyone who goes down with ease.
Pretty much.
Also, stacking isn’t ruining player skill level. It implies that there was a good skill level present to begin with. It’s more accurate to say that it’s not helping to improve it.

I’ve turned down my character model limit to Medium (from Highest), and it has helped tremendously. There are still instances where it rises too high and crashes, but I’ll be adjusting my settings accordingly.

Another user commented on another thread, with the OP having a similar issue.
The base problem here is that GW2 is a 32 Bit program and can only use a maximum of 3 GB, even on a 64 Bit OS with truckloads of ram. The amount of textures being loaded with all the different characters is too much for that. So it runs into the 3 GB wall and crashes. Sadly there has never been any response from Anet if we can expect a 64 Bit client in the future, which should fix the problem for good, at least on a 64 Bit OS.
I have no clue if it’s actually the true cause or not. But I suppose the workaround is to lower graphical settings so that less memory needs to be used. I’ll try it for the next few days and see if it helps (I currently run everything at max settings, minus sampling).
It makes inherent sense to me. I remember Elder Scrolls Skyrim having a 4GB mod, because the program only ran at 2GB max for awhile, causing crashes to desktop.

This daily should just be extended to be an umbrella term for Risen, therefore including more zones than just Orr. If new player accessibility is the goal.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Way easier to craft a legendary before rather than now.
I’m not sure how much I’ve actually spent. But if all the stuff I got for my two Elementalists were converted to gold, probably ~1,000-1,250 gold. But a large chunk of that expense was Incinerator, which wasn’t necessary.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
You’re running out of memory because of the 32 bit OS memory limitations.
However, you may be able to get GW2 to work without crashing by adding the 3 Gig memory switch.
Do the following to enable the 3G switch:
1. Right-click Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator.
2. At the command prompt, enter “bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072” (without quotes).
3. Restart the computer. If you want to disable the 3G switch:
1. Right-click on Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the Start menu. Click Run as Administrator.
2. At the command prompt, enter “bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa” (without quotes).
3. Restart the computer.Alternatively, you can try lowering your graphics settings.
Apologies for hijacking the topic.
What is this supposed to do? I tried Googling it, but the articles were beyond my understanding of tech.
The only thing you can do for now is turn on “clone wars” by setting character model quality to lowest.

I’ve been getting an error similar to the OP. That’s disappointing that I’ll have to lower some graphical settings (currently play with everything highest) cause of a program limitation.

I haven’t heard of people wanting farming spots related to Lyssa ever since they closed the Lyssa Waypoint farm months ago. There will always be people purposefully trolling other players so they can’t get what they want. Most of the time it’s pretty easy to tell.
ANet should just make the trait acquirable through defense, like some of the other events.

Another, at Shatterer.
This makes it really difficult to do world bosses with the megaservers. It’s like a ticking time bomb until a crash pops up.

It’s not a virus, if that’s what you’re concerned about. It was added to the folder with the feature patch release.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
I’ve been getting crashes (mostly only at large group events – AKA world bosses when there are 50 million players around). This was a fresh install, + today’s new build. In the past I’ve tried -repair and reinstalling as well.
Any clues as to what the issue is?

I’m not one to calculate exact numbers, I’ll leave that to other people.
I believe a meta Elementalist with 30 in fire (6, whichever you’re used to), can give the party perma fury and 25 stacks of might (if fire fields coming from an outside source). Assuming those two are Elementalists, that leaves 3 other slots for pure damage people.
There’s probably a difference between the two. 2 Eles + 3 Damage vs Phalanx Warrior + Thieves/Rangers for Fury. Assuming you are leaving out Elementalists.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Where do you want to start? What do you want to do?
Want to explore the game world? Go onto a map and do that.
Want to 100% a map? Go around doing the hearts, getting the POIs, waypoints, and vistas.
Want to get a cool weapon skin? Find out what it needs, and get all the materials, be it farming for money for the components, or farming for the components.
Want to PvP? Check out the class forums for a build, or make your own. Maybe read a basics guide. Enter a match, try it out, and adjust.
The goals in the game are ones you set for yourself. And those will be based on what you want to do. Make a goal first, learning how to do it is second.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
As BigfootArisen asked, what’s your play style?
In my personal opinion, try making an Elementalist. They’re very fun to play (depending on play style), though take awhile to learn.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
On the topic of complaining. It’s incredibly easy to see the general mood of a forum and say it’s complaining. Truthfully, some are complaining just to complain. But it mainly matters how someone phrases the complaint. The more constructive it is, the better, cause there are reasons/suggestions/whatever being thrown in, not just discomfort.
I know in game, some people say that you can’t say anything but praise, or else you get infracted. I’m pretty sure I’ve out right raged at ANet before in my forum posts over the length of the game, and never received one.
It’s easy to hate on something and not give any backup as to why. Anyone can do it. It takes a bit time to phrase why something isn’t good, why it should be changed, and possible methods to do it. Whether they listen to it, who knows? There’s a ton of stuff for them to sift through, so I don’t blame them either.

Things that you’ll more than likely need if you continue playing (and are a hoarder) are the bank tabs and collection expanders.
Great convenience items are the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic and unlimited gathering tools, but are not necessary.

What do you want me to do? I could tell you it’s a bug, and you have to wait for a fix. The topic also does that, in the very first post.

Enable 2-step authentication if you have a smart phone. https://account.guildwars2.com/account/security
This will require you to input a code (which will constantly change on your phone) after username and password are accepted.

I have yet to hear of a person get banned over it. They have been vague, like Lishtenbird said.
Chances are, you aren’t going to get penalized for it.

Arya: Lots of people name their swords.
The Hound: Lots of kittens.
(I actually wrote kittens.)
But GoT referencing aside, I doubt this will ever come. We already/currently have the transmuted name issue where it’s taking the name of the original item, rather than the transmuted. Devs say that isn’t an easy fix, and that has no ETA. So implementing a custom name would be far off down the line if it were ever viable.
Would it be a neat feature? Sure, if they manage to censor certain words correctly (even ANet’s patch notes on the forums get censored sometimes). Maybe not a specific weapon progression, but repeatable account progression (like X of doing Y thing unlocks 1 item name change scroll or whatever) would be better. With the trend of account bound stuff, it would be better to have something universal rather than something that makes it more annoying for someone with multiple characters. But I could see those types of things being a gem store item.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Sigh of relief that the devs are aware of this. It may not be fixed any time soon, but good to know that it wasn’t intended.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
If you look at your log, it’ll keep track of the individual hits, but the display will total them up.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
why the heck are most of the WPs on maps contested now? If I want to open AC for instance I have to take the WP on the far west, then WP again to the dungeon entrance. this seems pointless. same thing with contested dungeons/temples…it’s even more frustrating than before.
What Lankybrit said, but Plains of Ashford is a special case. A lot of those waypoints shouldn’t be contested (like the AC Waypoint), but are. Likely a bug.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
most of plains of ashford shows contested now, think only 2 wp’s are free til you enter map XD….someone messed up there.
http://i.imgur.com/OBofYmN.png
@CelebrityX From moment megaservers went online it will alway be like this (as long as developers wont find solution for this issue). All waypoints that can be contested are always seen as contested if you are sitting on another map. Game simply dont know what map you will end up if you teleport. You can end up on map where one waypoint can be contested or on map copy where it’s not.
Correct. But the waypoint at the AC entrance was never contested before, for any reason, the harpy event nearby never contested this waypoint.
Someone on a reddit thread explained how it might be related to the end of BWE2, when the waypoints became mass contested. http://www.guildwarsinsider.com/bwe2-finale-rytlock-dragons-corruption-my/
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
I read in another thread that they had to taxi in their guildies to the one megaserver map for bounty, if they didn’t happen to land in the right one.
I suppose partying up would be the most effective and reduce the amount of taxi-ing required overall.
Not sure about Trek though.

Come on ANet, I’m counting on you to change this. ;~; Every time I login my Ranger, I’m reminded it’s called Molten Longbow and not Wings of Dwayna. Or my Mesmer and read Inquest Sword rather than Infinite Light.

Did you talk to the Black Lion Armorsmith NPC that can be found nearby the Trading Post in the major cities?
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
It’s 2 TOTAL, not 2 per track.
Custom arenas only allow 2 tiers per day, but solo and team have no limit. They are tracked separately.
My progress is still stuck at 28% after daily reset and it did allow me to get to that percentage in 1 day, so something is wrong with this.
This could be related to the bugs with daily resets and time gated crafting not working properly with timers as well.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Until the mindset of efficiency/speed is removed (which would require a rehaul of mob and dungeon mechanics), the zerker meta won’t die.
They may have lost a bit of damage, but they are still more efficient.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Not sure if sarcasm…
A lot of threads aren’t going to get responses with the feature patch being so fresh. And many exploits in the past were never commented on immediately, or at all for that matter.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Exploit#Historical_exploits
That being said, I highly doubt that they’ll go on a banhammer streak for this. But take it how you will.
http://youtube.com/user/Royblazer
Does it sound too good to be true?
I’m 99.9% certain it’s unintended (why does costume brawl need 5% damage reduction?), and that ANet doesn’t want people to use it.
