I’m pretty sure the people who don’t like the new ones aren’t a fan of light blue. That’s basically the main difference aside from the improved detail.
Don’t fret OP, for every person who gets 2 or more precursors in their lifetime, there are 1000 of us who can’t even get an exotic from the champion loot bags.
You should have gotten Braham’s mace when it was still on sale.
With that said, will dungeon rewards get updated when ascended armor and weapons come out? Or will they just be relegated to exotic status?
I just did 5 gambits with engineer, 20/0/30/20/0 with bomb heal and backpack regenerator plus candied dragon roll. Utilities were bomb kit, elixir B and thumper turret. Literally just walked up to Subject 7 and dropped bombs till he died.
I just used swiftness and rolling around on the floor.
If you’re within 50-100g of buying it outright, then it should be a no brainer what the choice is.
Can’t you do the transmute to a white item trick with it to make it account bound?
The key is that you have to grab around 2-3 meat at the start and kill the dog as quickly as possible.
I guess you weren’t here when they announced Ascended gear. Not THAT was the biggest kittenstorm GW2 has seen yet. So much so that they had to write a blogpost, an explanation and some videos explaining the move.
Might be drops from the “world” champions like the Hydra Queen and other champions with an achievement. The named weapons are already on the TP, so I don’t think they drop from the regular champs.
DR maybe? I had that same problem pre-patch, switched to another overflow and got them again.
It really matters little in the long run. For all we know, this might be the last time ever we see either Kiel or Evon in a story.
You’ve seen the reactor right? Looks like a typical Asura city, so that probably means golems as well.
He still has the BLTC, so he’s still the big daddy in Tyria. (in b4 he closes shop and takes the BLTC, trading post and the mail to Cantha).
Hey this would actually be a good Living Story! Disgruntled Evon supporters trying to assassinate Kiel and her supporters acting as guards.
I would have wanted to see Evon’s growth as a character. Maybe he starts off as an unscrupulous and ruthless leader, but eventually learns to appreciate the heroism of people and has a heroic moment like Tybalt. He has better potential IMO, since Ellen is already ideal.
Trahearne + Kormir in one package.
Ughh another Trahearne-like character wins.
I saw tons of people around Evon’s basket when the poll’s were closing, and nearly nobody around Kiel’s.
Guild armor is scale mail, while most lvl 80 armor is plate.
It’s some flaw in GW2’s engine. It seems they can’t get hair to render when there’s something else on the head. Like wearing hats makes people bald.
Funny, I hated nearly every large shouldered, glowy, distastefully ornate armor in WoW, with maybe the exception of the Tier 2 and 3 armor. I don’t like all the armor in GW2, but I like the more grounded look they have much better.
They already had the Jormag sword in-game. Don’t know why people find it surprising.
Is that a halberd I see there?
If you don’t keyboard turn, you don’t even need to press the direction you need to dodge to. Anyway, I bind my dodge to “R” so it’s extremely intuitive to dodge forward and backward since the buttons are right beside each other.
Uninstall most likely.
Ah thought I was being hacked lol
My guardian (posted my other chars earlier)
HOTW ches/legs
Cultural T1 shoulders
Named gloves/boots
Wanted a lighter looking guardian.
I don’t really like glowy armor, as they seem a little too garish for my taste (COF being the primary offender). Same goes for weapons. Also not a fan of the spiky stuff.
Changed my mesmer’s armor, wanted to give her a more battlemage type feel. Using a mix of dungeon, T3 and early level gear.
Five of my eight level 80 characters have mix and match armor. I didn’t use it for the soldier classes though, since the glimmer of the metals are hard to match.
I initially wanted to use human T3, but seeing as how everyone uses it on their thieves nowadays, I decided to go with something different:
GW2 humans are actually the elves of GW2. They’re closer to the Tolkien theme of elves as a fading race that was once the pinnacle of Tyria.
You need to do the regular dungeons e.g. ac/cm/ta etc.
Warriors will give up the ability to solo AC, but in exchange they also get the healing capabilities of an elem.
Deal?
They’ll have their stats increased to ascended equivalent gear when they come out, so you can probably get an ascended staff with the stats you want and transmute the Dreamer over it. Of course, it means that when they add another tier ABOVE ascended, then you’ll be out of luck, though hopefully that doesn’t happen for at least a year.
What’s wrong with grinding again? Isn’t it something a player actually has to WORK to achieve? Or should people be shoehorned into playing a certain way? If a guy spends 4 hours of his life grinding karkas per day, then I don’t have a problem if he gets rich doing so, since he puts in the work.
This would actually be nice. And instead of “servers”, you would choose, say, an army or faction to join for WvW, with actual names (groups names like Priory, Lionguard, etc. but WvW specific). This also ensures that WvW populations are relatively balanced between sides.
Maybe winners for certain groups get access to a special NPC that sells unique armor skins/ food/ buffs, etc. or maybe a unique dungeon with unique armor and weapon skins giving people actual incentive to compete in WvW.
Very very few people actually “waypoint rush” bosses. The last time I’d been in a party like that was like, what? 3, 4 months ago?
What’s more likely to happen is that a guy or two accidentally gets downed or dies (mistimed Alpha dodge, get hit by ice in HOTW 2, misjudge a Lupicus dodge, gets hit by Kholer too many times by normal attack, etc.). So the rest of the team can proceed on killing the boss at a SIGNIFICANTLY slower rate or just suicide so they can take on the boss as a full party again.
You can still do the transmute thingy. I just did it right now.
Hopefully when they implement ascended crafting.
Also remember that Rampager has PRECISION as its main stat, so those wearing it with have naturally high crit chance. With my old warrior rampager gear and rampager accessories, I think I had 65% base without any buffs.
Gonna recycle this thread. How does this look for a “magical duelist” mesmer (someone who is sort of like a magical knight with “heavy-ish” armor)?
I used daphoenix’s build for my ele, and I find it pretty good in terms of survivability. Not as survivable as my guardian, but not much less survivable than my shouts warrior (mostly due to hp) and loads tougher than my grenades/elixir engineer.
