As a mostly PVP/WvW player, can’t say I do.
You can also use 0/0/20/30/20,which I prefer due to fast hands.
Given that my all ascended lvl 80 warrior has lower stats fully buffed than that uplevel, I’d have to call bullkitten on that screenie.
They give loot? lol
*SPOILERS* What was the thing that blew up?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Shifu.4321
That was Thamaunova, if I’m not mistaken. It didn’t blow up though, just the leyline passed through it. They probably included it to indicate that the dragon woke up beyond the current borders since it is the furthest place currently westward in the map,
These “feedback” threads almost often degenerate into gemstore whining.
It literally says exit to lion’s arch when you walk over the green star.
It’s not the hammer trains that are deadly, it’s just that most of the compositions have the hammer train as a core component. It’s the combination of hard hitting backlines AND tanky frontlines that are deadly.
For WvW at least, I can’t count the number of times I’ve rolled out of an enemy zerg with 3-4k hp left, and survive the entirety of the fight. While you don’t need to go full PVT, vitality is a very good buffer for warriors in addition to toughness, when you consider the warrior role of frontline worker and the kitten you will have to deal with when facing large groups.
For smaller groups, you can probably get away with little vitality.
I wish female humans held it like that, the way they drag greatswords behind them is sort of dumb…
The female stance is the more realistic and far more practical way of wielding a greatsword.
I don’t have any experience with greatswords… But come on, dragging it with you is in no way practical in combat :P. You leave yourself completely open to attacks , and no matter how fast you are, you won’t be parrying anything from that position. Not even a super slow guy trying to hit you with one of those weights that you have to lift , that is actually too heavy for him to use :P.
Then again, I never held, or see anyone hold/use a greatsword. I’d imagine they’re atleast twice as heavy as an average sword, though.
edit: well, the dragging thing still looks cool. So I don’t mind at all in gw2, we don’t ever parry attacks anyway… Except maybe rangers with that one skill :P. Just dontgo around calli git realistic :/.
Take a look at the nebenhut stance:
http://www.thearma.org/essays/StancesIntro.htm#.UxA_6c5JVrw
Looks familiar?
Engineer 9/10, looks very fitting for a Charr, good earthy colors.
Warrior 8/10. Looks good, but probably a bit common so a bit lower.
My newly 80 Charr, wanted a piratey captain feel to her. Dyes are still temporary, but the look is final:
It’s probably not a boss, but more like Scarlet’s elite force.
Braham’s mace is the biggest mace in the game, also the most visually appealing IMO (depending on whether you like the Moot or not). Maybe they’ll return it for the final part of the LS.
Okay so, do women in Tyria simply have no shame whatsoever? Is that what I’m supposed to take away from the armor designs? I mean, come on. Don’t get me wrong, I love boobs as much as the next guy but Mother of Balthazar, there is almost nothing covering the female torso whatsoever.
I like the set, overall, but is it too much to ask for an armor set with at least some level of modesty? I’m seriously asking, is that something we could have at some point? Armor that actually… I don’t know, that would actually serve as armor and provide some level of protection to the general torso area.
Well technically, they’re actually fully covered…
Dat blue skin doe
^Not at home unfortunately, if anybody is kind enough
Anybody have a pic of these new armors? I have zodiac weapon sets with my warrior and a spare 400 gems from the 10k AP reward so might be a good match.
If you look at history, what was going to do more damage to you, a two handed sword with more weight to it, or a light cutlass or foil? The kitten things were known to cleave men in two, overhand style.
If you actually look at history, firearms made all martial weapons of war obsolete so we should all just be using pistols and rifles but that would make for a really lame fantasy game.
Pistols and Rifles are anyways the most lame and stupid weapons in this game that should never have been implemented in my opinion at all together with the Engineer.
If I could change that, I’d already turned out the Engineer against either an Alchemist, or Mystic Class which could have been a redesigned hybrid version of Dervish and Ritualist to come up with an alot more fitting Class for GW2, removing Pistols and Rifles out of the game and replacing them with far more interesting and more fitting weapons like:
Crossbows, Chakrams, Whips/Chain Sickles, Flails, Halberds and the like… especially the Chain Sickles i think would ve very neat for the Mystic.
Alot of the pistols and rifles in the game just don’t look like some cheap blackpowder based weapons, but more liek weapons from the future of GW2, far more developed and thats why i despise them so much, they and the whole flair of the engineer never have fitted at all to GW2…
Thats also the reason why the silly Commando was just only an Aprils fools Joke and nothing more, the Engineer is nothing more than a dumbed down version of itto a certain degree – at least you can see directly, where some inspirations were taken from. sadly instead of beign creative by making somethign like the Mystic that I think would have loved all of the Dervish/Ritualist Fans alot more ….
In a world with tanks, robots, nuclear reactors and teleporting gates, guns should not be an issue AT ALL.
Atherblade armor including helm is pretty good.
Celestial gear getting nerfed seems fine to me…and berserker gear? Everyone’s got that stuff. I’m kinda glad that it’s getting changed to ferocity, because it’ll make people change up their builds and stats.
Not really. Nothing has changed to make other stats more attractive (in PVE). It just nerfs berserker/crit damage without any compensation. It’ll still be the best gear for dungeons/PVE, but now everything is a bit slower.
Why’s you bump a 2month old thread anyway?
WoS and WoC are your standard wellomancer wells.
I’ve done the whole tower solo on 2 characters, a D/D elementalist and a guardian. I used tons of conditions removals, regenerations and stunbreakers as well as equipping weapons with energy sigils. Always remember to dodge each batch of enemies even if they aren’t attacking you yet.
All the skins are usable only once. It’s always been like that, with the AP skins being the sole exception.
For artificer 425-450, I discovered a coupple of exotics and mostly potions. I crafted a stack of outlaw potions in addition to discovering other potions.
Asuran technology is actually based on magic. Engineers contraptions are more like Charr creations.
Nerfing the daily karma to 1/8 of what it was previously was a bit too extreme.
The thinking is just that Renewed Focus alone is a very weak Elite.
Possibly the weakest standalone Elite skill after Mortar.
Even after spending a fair few trait points on Virtues it still isn’t that good.
I’d like to see some sort of improvement to Renewed Focus.
Either an enhancement to the basic skill with additional effects, a reduced cool-down or some extra synergy. After they decided to ‘shave’ our Tomes in PvP by removing the Stability which in-turn meant no one ever used them ever again, ArenaNet balancing™ it would be nice if we had a decent solo Elite.
The other Professions all have at least one Elite that can turn the tide of a fight for them, Renewed Focus more often than not is just delayed death.
RF has saved my kitten so many times in WvW zerg fights and basically all areas of the game. I can’t stress enough the importance of 6 quick virtue pops in succession (blinds, heals, aegis), along with added time to wait for heal to cooldown and vigor (especially important for dodge roll heals).
What do you mean? Like how much I bought my prec? 520g IIRC.
It’s too late to fix anything by nerfing champ farms. A lot of people already have their legendaries and most of what they want. What this will be doing is basically capping gold to what you can earn from dungeons per day, screwing over guys who’ve not had time to build their fortunes. Nobody likes to farm champs, because it’s extremely boring, but they put up with it because it’s the most profitable way to earn, and their only chance to get a legendary or whatever in a realistic amount of time. You won’t be getting that from dungeons because of DR. And hell. dungeons are also extremely easy so it’s not as if it’s a challenge either.
I smirked imagining a grub wearing armor and wielding a GS
The rune is good for condi necros in WvW. You really need that 24% condition duration there.
you are misreading the runes. they dont give +24% condition duration, its MINUS 24% condition duration (for conditions on you)…which are horrible for necros who have plenty of ways to remove them already.
The sigil of Tormenting is Awesome, Will defiantly be using that on my staff. (have another staff to use for building +10 condi dmg then swap to the procing one for torment)
The attunement crystals are also boss. Everything else is meh not really good for us imho.
Yeah I know. I already use the minus condition duration food in WvW, and believe me, in T1 fights, the conditions stacks are so heavy that you really can’t get enough cleansing.
The rune is good for condi necros in WvW. You really need that 24% condition duration there.
I literally have 2500 empyreal fragments, and I don’t even go out of my way to farm them. Heck I even have a spare Vision Crystal lying around.
scrub
skr?b/
verb
verb: scrub;?3rd person present: scrubs;?past tense: scrubbed;?past participle: scrubbed;?gerund or present participle: scrubbing
1.
rub (someone or something) hard so as to clean them, typically with a brush and water.
“he had to scrub the floor”
You got the atherblade JP as well?
As someone with a Jugg, I agree that silver lodestones should be quite a bit easier to get. I have all my slots filled with level 80 characters, and I didn’t really fancy buying another slot just to farm chests. I farmed gold to buy them, but it was quite a kitteneaper then.
Arenanet will never change it to your preference.
is also a fact.
Energy sigil and dodge roll heals have saved my kitten much more than my shout heals have.
Keep it in case you ever decide to create a con damage char
PVE is easy enough that it doesn’t matter what class you bring.
I am 100 icy runestones away from one. I actually never planned to get one, but I noticed that my gold after Scarlet event was around 400g. I farmed FG for a few more gold to buy the precursor (first thing I got) via buy order.
