Not sure where to ask this but My Girl Friend tried to put like 10g in our guild bank and got some message about being a new account and couldn’t put it in… So question is just where can I find info on what sort of Caps are in place and for how long???? Seems rather silly to me that we Buy Gems convert them to Gold and can’t use it the way we want….

Basically, it’s a double-edged design sword. Some events spawn a lot of mobs (especially Champions) if there are a ton of players present to scale it way up.

Normally, completing such an event means you kill whatever mobs spawn and then you move on to the next event. But some events end up with variations on: You can let the huge swarm of mobs kill any relevant NPCs (that would cause the event to succeed) and then kill the mobs after.

These events typically have a short reset timer for when they are “failed.” The double-edged part is because this is a great design choice in theory! If players fail, they quickly get another chance to succeed.

But then on the other stabby end, it gives players the opportunity to get rewards from killing some mobs, purposefully failing, and then repeating the process over and over. The design choice is not taking into account the manipulative organization of large groups of players to reap as many rewards as possible.

Essentially, the design choice is great for game design, but it isn’t designed to handle organized manipulation from the playerbase.

So basically they have designed a Exploit if what I get from reading what you put here?? No other game that I have played does any one gain from Failing… Seem to me to be a bad idea to reward people that purposely fail… Failing should be just that failing and failing to me means no gain or reward… But that is just how I think others may not think the same… I know the first time I saw I got exp from a failed event I told my girl friend this was stupid….

I play Ranger on my main I have been having a lot of fun.. I solo most of the time I am level 57 now and have only been playing about 2 weeks… I have gotten a few levels from my crafting time though so if not for that I would be about level 47…. Best part about ranger for me is having the pet it is like having another player helping…. Also I took Leather working and huntsman as my crafting..

Well I have played many games. TbH I rather smell the flowers as they say then Zerg through stuff.. Now If I have run a quest or dungeon a few times then I may not watch every thing or read every text…. Thing in this day it is Hurry up.. And then most of those that do just end up waiting after all…

Ranger is good.. Elemental is okay but like others said take a bit to get used to… I wish they had it like GW1 where you could Dual Class….

Man it took them almost a month to fix the lag issue (for more people) they implemented along with the september patch and ever since like tuesday, all of us who have had this fixed just got worse than it was initially when it was already terrible. It is seriously kittening insulting and annoying at this point

Not to mention I spent 2 full weeks talking to different techs from my ISP every day to trying to solve things out a million different ways with nothing to be done since it’s on their end until it finally solved itself only to screw things up again 1-2 weeks after

Well I really doubt they tried a million things.. Most ISP tech support can barely talk let alone help you…. That being said what have you done your self for tests??? I ask because I had a ISP that the techs kept saying every thing was great on their end… Turned out running a TRACERT to the server of the game I was playing Showed the ISP had a bad router about 500 miles away from me…. But none of the Techs could even run the trace….. So maybe instead of Blaming the game here you should do some real testing….

I don’t think this is the place for a topic like this… If it bothers you put a ticket in…. None of us here on the forum can do any thing about it….

I started making GIFs for GW2 with funny things I have encountered in the game.

I am just wondering why fall damage still acts the way it does? I get the whole tumbling effect they were going for but with the way it works, stairs and tiny slopes can be the most terrifying things in Tyria. Anyone else think so?

If they look on the map screen it says A Kind Soul is Healing you… I have been ready to port out and have seen it so have stayed where I was…. All it takes is time to read and be aware….

Well I know the PSU can be a major issue.. My girl friends old PC was doing the BSOD thing put a new PSU and never had any issues again… Really that is where you should start I think the cost will be well worth the time saved… But that comes from some one that has been dealing with computers for 30 years…

Your PSU may be having issues… May be over heating and causing the problem….

I am lost I got to level 150+…. But I don’t know where the recipes are to make any Armor Such as boots, gloves and that type stuff… I am new to the game and really lost here….

Township of Claypool The Tailor doesn’t have runes of holding… I need to jump around some any way so I will look and see if I find any…

If they put it in the game then I would use it for sure… I have had some bad luck with third party programs.. So I stay away from them… Just how I am I am not saying some others may feel that way………

Well Dungeons and Dragons Online you can either use right mouse button or Press the T Button… T button keeps you in mouse look mode so that you can just steer with the mouse… Makes things much easier for some people…

Once you buy the game it can be installed on any computer….

This is not currently an option supported in Guild Wars 2. I am however curious how you would see this functioning. Would it be some sort of keybind toggle, or something else?

For me a Key Bind I think would work but I am not a programmer….

Got lag for about 10 secs just running in a open space… Very rare do I ever have lag. Didn’t check if my I-Net was acting up or not but I will never rule that out… Unless you do a speed check of your Isp or a trace route you can’t say there is no I-Net issues on your end…..

I have had no issues logging in at all… I have been on all 5 of my players in the past 4 hours swapping stuff around from my Bank..

I wish it was also I have very bad bone and joint issues This would make it much better for me. I do use a track ball mouse though that makes it a bit better…

I am east coast US on Borlis pass world never get Lag… I would tend to think your ISP is having issues….. Have you run a speed test while the game is running????

I paid 34.99 for the deluxe edition…. The rest of what I am doing is FREE…. So not sure just what your Issues is.. Unless you want the Core game free and if they did that would be no money for them… Sorry but if you think any games are free and you can be competitive.. Please Clue me in…….

Well most games state Blocked until a date and time… Not sure if that is the same here. But a Ticket to support they can tell just how long and just what the unacceptable behavior Was… Most games also do not like this type of thing discussed on Forums at all…

Truth is some people don’t feel comfortable messing around in Files.. I have been using and fixing computers since 1983… Have certs for all of it I will go in and look at things as needed but A+ and 4 years of Tech Support sure doesn’t make one a expert neither does 30 years of working on the stuff…. Some one asked for help then doesn’t want the answers Bottom line you let it go and let them try asking some place else….

I am sure it will show up at level 70..I know mine showed up as soon as I hit level 40… It was a pain for me as I went looking before I got to 40 I spent about 2 hours looking for it……

First thing I would do is run a anti virus / Malware check… Do Not use the windows defender… If no Virus then make sure your Fire Wall is letting GW go through… I had issues with a Virus causing issues sad but I had to do a full reset on my computer…

This number increases as your Magic Find grows, requiring more luck per +1% MF.

This may be silly but are you at level 70… I was having issues with my 4th stage… To then find out I was not at the correct level….

@ the OP I think you need to run a speed Check on your IP.. That will tell a lot but do it while the game is actually running in windowed mode…. Just Google speed test as I am not sure what is available where you live…

Chrome is a resource Hog… I would Keep all of them closed… Also run a Virus check and a mal-ware check… Not with windows defender.. Use some thing like Avast Anti virus or any one that you can get free…. I had a bad virus was keeping any game I tried to load…

It took me about 5 hours to get every thing so I could play…. Sad to say my PC had a Issue and I had to do a clean install on it… Then had to re-download every thing again… My down load speed is around 15 Mbps… If that helps you…

Well I play a couple other game.. But have just started here on GW2.. A lot of games are dying some never really got going good before the Devs messed things up… So far I like this game.. I may get bored here never can tell.. But I have taken breaks from some other games and gone back…. Each game has things that change over time… I just hope that things here change content wise for the good….

Well I for one wouldn’t waste time on WoW at all… But Then there are other games I wouldn’t play either…
