I just want simple thing… Alliance…
Each player can only fight for 1 guild during a given week.
Multiple guild can join one alliance.
Each “alliance” have 1 map, the border land (alpine or new no matter).
The MU is make about the ranking of each alliance. Then you have 3 BL (each alliance) and EB.
Open as many MU that you need to make all alliance being help to fight. You can host multiple small alliance MU on one physical server….
With this after some times, small alliance will fight small ennemy alliance. And big will fight big… Because of the ranking.
For the ranking maybe make PPT and PPK. Increase PPT if the keep is T1/T2/T3…
I love this because Guild are usefull (actually it’s more about a friendlist).
You can choose people on your side. Actually there is nothing you can do against troll. With this you can break alliance with troll guild, and then stop to have them in your team.
This bring back some diplomacy between guild. To build the alliances.
Each alliance have to manage his crew… During off peak and prime time. They have the choice to accept more people or not if they have lot of queues at prime time.
This give more “power” to the player. Actually you can’t kick out someone who troll with siege, you can’t choose to have more people with you or not…
And this system is close to the actual. Server are just replaced by alliance.
If you can’t approch ennemy tower because there is too much ac’s… Just attack with cata or treb…. It’s so difficult ? You only know how to use ram ? The other siege are to difficult ? It’s not only spam 2 ?
kitten , it’s so easy to counter massive ac’s without cheating, just take your time and attack at long distance… And if this give the time to the ennemy blob to kill you, then you have to increase your fighting ability…
not a problem for me, at least with this good player who are trained to use AC can do good job. And new player will have more difficulty. Maybe this will reduce the ac drop on open field.
For me people who died in combat should not be able to be resurected…. Go back to spawn WP. And with at least 30sec or 1min where you are stuck in the spawn (be able to go to the merchand, but not able to go out).
Outnumbered buff will remove this restriction.
With this people will take care a little more to not die and not just running with their blob…
What about Dragon’s Tooth? That ability ignores line of sight, people use it to eliminate all siege inside using zoom hacks, and people have been doing this for years.
Good question, Dragon Tooth allow elem to destroy siege without LOS… They just have to target the siege when they see it, and then come close to the wall and cast the spell… Without any los…
I even see this to shoot treb on the other side of the wall !
isnt that the way an arrowcart should work? you fire into the air to hit targets you cannot see ( like a mortar or an artillery ) ?
wouldnt it be better to modify rams that they are invul to arrowcarts and provide protection while staying unter their leather/wood plank roof?
ok, but then make the ac’s like other siege, you have to adjust your shoot yourself, no target to help you aiming…
And make that the arrow hit the wall and can’t be fired close to it. Actually the arrow can go through the wall…

Not all player want to go to T1 or T2 just for win…. I play off peak, and I need a server with big population, just to have 5 to 10 people during the day on home borderland !
I have play on T3 server, and in T5…. It’s just dead during the day, totally dead ! It’s not only the prime time, the MU is going all the day and the night…
It’s interesting to fight 24H/24. I like this. And one full week is interesting too… I don’t want any change about this….
I like my community on my server, I’m not just here to follow a big blob… I’m here to fight with good player on a good community. How do you want to do something when during the day you have 2 player on BL ? Maybe 6 on EB ? It’s impossible… Just close this dead server and give free transfer for the player…. Maintain maximum 12 or 15 server, it’s enough…
And with HOT the new map will be very big… We will need people to play on this map… Even on T2 server we don’t have enough people during the day to play on this big map…
In T1/T2 all the player are not only making blob for ktrain… Lot of people really love their server community… If you have not enough people on end server, just change… Farming gold is not really difficult…
Armor is passive defense against power build…. But against condi build who apply tons of condi you can’t do anything… Condi ignore armor, and are re apply since you have clean it.. And don’t forget those condi mesmer, spaming condi > stealth > hide… Wait… And start again if player can clean the condi…
Just make condi not ignoring armor and it will be fine…
AC are easy to counter, just attack with cata or treb….
This is made to “force” player to really siege keep, and not only to KT with plenty of rams in front of the door ignoring defender….
Actually the defense is difficult, because with 30+ people you take a T3 keep in less then 3min….
You have to give time to defenser to really defend…. And if you don’t give time to the scout with few ac then we will only have KT all the day…
Actually the blob just need to place 2 acs outside the wall and then clear all the siege..
Acs should be counter with long range attack, not with camera cheat.

Then you should be fine with us. The home border have few people, but always place for roaming. And if big ennemy group attack us, then the main group join to defend.
If you want to join the zerg you should find it generally on EB, sometimes on ennemy BL.
We only have blue tag on home border when we have big trouble or at prime time.
I need 3 weeks before I come back from the golem event…. And even now I play less than before… This event was so big kitten, the way the dev just ignore us…. How they manage to make this event without patching all the bugs…. There is a real issue with how anet handle the wvw community, and this event was just the worse thing they can have done…

There is a lot of thing to change…. Higher wall, stronger gate… Remove player damage on gate…. Remove golem…
One T3 gate should take at least 5Min to be destroyed by 3 rams…. This will give enough time for defenders to come back and have fight.
With this at least you have to really siege ennemy keep to take it, and to fight the ennemy players…
Actually you can take a fully upgraded keep in 2min ! With this people just try to attack undefended keep and make PVD…
Make the world depend more on player, and not on PVE Event… Automatic upgrade remove control from player to computer… This is a bad thing…
And what about troll upgrade ? Troll siege ? Maybe change how the system work, and don’t make WvW but GvG…. With alliance and thing like this…. Then you can choose your ally, and push out people who make kitten…
Yes, if you have 10 people inside the keep before the ennemy is coming, and with the good siege you can do something. But if you only have 1 or 2 scouts you can be sure that the outer gate is already lost. That’s the real issue…
It’s should not be possible de shoot down the gate (or the wall) with 5/6 siege withint 1 or 2minutes… The last thing I saw…. Blob building guild cata…. 8 cata near to be instant build… and that for both inner and outer…. The wall is just melting…. This is not what we can call a keep, or it’s about sieging ennemy keep to take it…. It’s just running on everything like on eotm…. And on eotm the wall and the gate have more life….
Piken always try to defend is BL.
But it’s difficult with other server who only run 40+ blob…
Since the begining, there is a real big issue with this game…. Why can ennemy blob with 40+ man destroy your keep within 3min ? Even if you have siege and 1 scout, the time that your comm reach you to help, the outer gate is already open…..
And then, if you don’t have your own blob who come back fast enough, the inner door will fall in 1 or 2 min….. And I speak about T3, not paper tower….
And why people can do damage to gate ? This should only be possible with siege…
T3 keep, who take hours and hours to upgrade and siege should not fall in 3min…. It should take at least 15 min to break the 2 gates….
Or maybe this is how the game should work, karma train for ever…. Casual game…. If keep are too difficult to take, people won’t play, because they just want to connect, join the zerg for 30min and make lot of bag during this time….
But really, anet need to increase the doors and the walls life….
Don’t forget that condi ignore armor…. Then it’s stupid to do same amount of damage with condi that with power… And cleaning ? Yeah lol….. When you can receive permanent condi…. You clean it, 1s after you get 3more…. The only thing to do is to have lot of dps to kill your opponent before all your clean condi are used…. If the fight is too long, you are sure to die because of those condi, ignoring armor, and killing you without that the other guy have anything to do….
This is know for month now and anet didn’t do anything against that.
the problem with auto upgrade and free upgrade is that actually you need people to hold supply camp, and people to pay for upgrade and start the upgrade.
Very few people will give money to upgrade ennemy keep, and a lot don’t want to just protect supply camp.
Night crew will try to play ppt, not stand on ennemy map for upgrade it.
With actual system when you wake up the morning it’s very few time that you can see all T3 upgraded, and camp fully upgraded.
Now you can be sure to see a lot of ennemy structure T2 or T3 on the morning…. This is the real issue ! When you are only 5 people it’s very boring to take back T3 keep… You will not be able to take back fully upgraded camp alone…
And if it’s too boring, people will just disconnect, and make something else….
For what I see, the tower will need 4H to be full upgraded without any supply…. This is very short…. For the keep it’s around 8H I believe, without any supply. This begin to take more time, but 8H is enough if you don’t have people the night… And you will wake up the morning with at least, south tower and probably side keep full upgraded…
Actually ennemy team don’t bother to put gold and supply in ennemy structures, they just take it and move away. Then to take stuff back is not too difficult.
But on the new map……
If anet want to fight hack they must include server side control, and client file control…
But to reduce load on the server (and then the cost) lot of job is do on the client side, without server control…
friendly collision go with friendly fire…. If some troll decide to block some path, just kill it… And on some game, repeated friendly fire, or trolling with blocking path can be reported, and people can get banned for a little time…
Before with few people you can defend hills and bay at the same time… You use WP to join one of the keep when the scout call for help.
Now there will be only 1 WP (without citadel) in garri…. If there is some ennemy on the south west camp no one will be able to WP at hills to defend the camp…
And the scout will not go to defend, because if he dies he will need to walk from garri to hills again…. And then he will not be able to use siege to defend….
Actually the scout can go to the camp, if he should die he can respawn immediatly at the keep…
don’t forget EU server with multiple time zone… Witch timezone will you choose ?
Nop, wvw is 24/24… Not only during day…
Home World all painted in the home teams color? No thanks. Home border shouldn’t be a raiding map to pillage for the enemy teams. It should be more evenly painted to have three way fighting going on all the time.
If you want this just go to eb….
It’s impossible for most of the server to spread on all map during the day and of course during night. It’s easier to focus on your home border and on our 1/3 on EB.
And if defending home border during offpeak become boring because you don’t have the WP, people will just leave…. No one want to run hours to try to defend. And no one will be able to spread on multiple map to protect the keep near the spawn.
With the new map and the new WP the only thing that will be interesting to defend will be the 1/3 on the home map and the 1/3 on eb…. All other thing will be for karma train…
Make your idea easier. T1 = 15PPT, T2 = 20PPT, T3=25PPT.
To change as you wish. But this is only interesting without automatic upgrade and without free update (gold and supply).
I would love to see something like this in wvw… More PPT if your keep is upgraded. But for this you need to remove the auto and free upgrade.
Yes, collision and friendly fire is the best thing to remove the zerg…. But anet will probably never do this. To much work for the server and not casual enough.
With this you can put 2 golem to block a bridge and fire with acs behind… This could help a lot to defend with few people against zerg.
We see this on one of our MU. Ennemy necro, killing guards and siege inside keep. Impossible to target, nothing in the log combat. The guy must be under the map.
I am scout, and I will no more scout on the new map… just no interest…
Actually we defend T0 keep because once upgraded they give the WP….
Actually we defend alreadry upgraded keep to hold our WP and to “honor” the people who have build the siege and pay the upgrade.
If the keep don’t give WP, and are free to upgrade then there is really no need to spend money and time to build siege and scout.
And there is no reasons to scout the side keep if the ennemy spawn is close because you will not be able to hold this keep for long time. You will loose it all the prime, and take it back during day. Just to hope to have some people at night to not see full T3 keep on your home border
yep, T3 should give more PPT that T0. This could help to reward defense.
And yes, doly should always be required to upgrade…
This could help, to allow home to be upgraded for free, but ennemy bl will cost you gold and people to start the upgrade.
Yeah, 4 eb…. If I want to play on a three faction map I go to eb…. Home borderland is our home… We want to protect our home, and all the home map is the home, not only the north 1/3….
Just have a good community on your server, and the cost for the upgrade will be share by all the community…. On my server scout don’t spend any gold for the upgrade or for the siege weapon…. If your community server is crap then this is another problem, you probably should leave and find another server…
If you remove difficulty and gold to upgrade the keep then they have no value.
No cost mean no value…. Now you try to defend your T3 because there is the WP upgrade inside. You try to defend because people on your server have paid for thie upgrade. You try to protect the job that other people (or yourself) have done. The “glory” to have all 3 WP on the map.
Now that the keep will upgrade with no cost, that the upgrade don’t give you the WP, then the keep has no value…. Or at least, same value as paper or T3. Then there is no reasons to fight hours to protect your T3, if the ennemy blob is to big, just let them capture the keep, you will take it back later. Don’t worry, upgrade cost nothing, don’t give any WP and this is all automatic.
A lot of people don’t worry about the PPT, and now the only value of your keep are this PPT.
Other thing, now that the side WP are removed, people won’t go to fight at the opposite of the map alone. Because if they die they have to walk back. They will just regroup, make blob to attack the ennemy keep, and continu.
Oh kitten, another tower is attacked…. Don’t worry, upgrade are free, and we don’t have WP…. Then no problem….
Oh and garri ? No problem, the ennemy will not siege it, because to far away from his spawn, and he will not be able to build WP. But you will have the WP soon as you take it back.
With all this, no glory to build a WP, no glory to reset ennemy WP, it’s not necessary to protect the job do by other guys (upgrade, defending yak, etc).
And with the new WP it will be very difficult to hold at the prime time the side keep, because no WP and ennemy WP close to the keep. Then no need to stay hours and build siege inside, because you know that once the prime is started the keep will fall… Impossible to defend 2 keep without WP inside.
Free upgrade is kitten, auto update is kitten…
All this change will just bring even more blob, and always less tacticals play…

And about troll buying the game twice just to start wrong upgrade. Make that you need at least one lvl 80 to come in McM, and at least 2 or 3k achievment point. No restrictions for EOTM, but only for regular McM. This will avoir people to buy the game, invest time in his character, just to troll in McM.

Just remove all this stupid thing, just maintain the buff for the yak when it’s escorted. Maintain the second upgrade for the door. Keep the gold cost, keep the supply cost, and keep the human factor to start the upgrade. It’s fine, it’s work fine. No need to make this change… Oh and don’t remove WP from the keep, and that the WP must be at T3…. Just stupid to have the WP once you have the keep…
All this modification are stupid, very stupid. This make the game always more for casual player and near to eotm.
We have something that work fine for people who try to play for the server. People who only want to make bag can go to eotm.
They don’t have the server to handle 1 big eb…. and this is just eotm…
Just a question, are all this change only with the new map ? Or do we will see the new upgrade and the new WP sooner for the actual map ?
This will just kill the home border….
How do you want to defend your keep without WP on your BL ?
Today you can defend bay, kill the blob, and switch to hills to help… And just leave 5 to 10 people in your keep to kill the remain ennemy… Now you have to choose…. Because if you go to defend Hills, there is no way you have a chance to defend Bay !
With this you can be sure to loose your 2 keep at each prime ! It’s just impossible to hold 2 ennemies blob with no WP in your keep and with ennemy TP just near your keep….
The last MU our team keep hills for 5 days long ! Now we will just loose our keep all prime, because we will never be able to hold the 2 ennemies group at the same time…
Why bother to siege a keep, if you are sure to loose it at all prime… No reason to spend money or take time to do the job. Thx, with the auto upgrade, and the WP update you have just killed the scout job and home borderland domination…. I think that I will leave GW soon with all of this change…

This new upgrade is for casual gaming.
Defending Yak is to difficult, then make the yak not needed to upgrade.
Upgrading in the right order is to complicated ? Then make only 3 upgrades without any choice.
No one want to care about upgrading ? Just auto start the upgrade.
People can’t handle to start the upgrade at the good time to always have some supply in the keep ? Just don’t use supply to upgrade at all….
It’s that the problem…. Casual gaming… Make the game always easier for people who don’t want to learn a little the game mechanics.
My server is on T3…. With low population at off peak time. Piken Square to be more precise.
Server who is not able to organise his team, and support his scout should have penality. On good server scout are supported, with gold, siege, etc. Then they find people to do the job and this give tactical advantage.
If on some server people don’t want to help scout then they don’t have scout, and this allow ennemy to take the structure easly.
It’s not because some people don’t want to do the job and only want to blob that anet should destroy this aspect of the game ! (defending / upgrading).
On my server scouting is fine. Scout didn’t pay for upgrade, didn’t pay for siege and have help to escort doly. This give us a big advantage against other team who don’t care about their keep. Because we hold our T3 some time 3 or 4 days long ! Just because there are people to do the job.
Now even if server as no organisation, then the keep will be T3 without any human intervention….
Anet should reward cooperative job and tactical organisation, not only blobs…..
