Thanks Chaos for your consideration.
Advise players to go to WvW for crafting station/laurel vendor and taking up space of those doing WvW is just … (self infracted).

There is one annoying exploit of down state that opponent player (mesmer 100% of the time) stays dead for a prolong period (10-15min, 1/2 hour if needed) inside keep/tower/gar near the gate or inside wall (caught glitching into wall using teleporting skill) waiting for their friends to come back to rez them then ports the whole army in. There should be a timer limit for the dead to staying inside enemy occupied tower but knowing Anet, just forget about this post. For amused purpose only.
Welcome to my server; we, they do it all the time, inf-act i had made a thread concerning this and was mocked, belittled and humiliated until the thread vanished.
I even had encouraged Arena.net in implementing a boot/kick system for those offenders, once a keep been taken.
Yet till this day, complete ignorance.
Thank You! for resurrecting this critical issue once more.
Haha. You’re telling me, my friend. I’ve seen enough of WvW craps as much as I’ve seen dungeon & fractal craps on the other side of the pond. No spending dollars, no change. That’s the policy. I’m no longer care for this game. All is for me to squeeze the last challenge of this game for the last fun.

No need to add 2 more wisps. Just add 1 clown car per wisp then everybody will have more fun. Or tears.
Paths 1 and 3 are around 7g. Path 2 goes for 3-4. Path 4 is 12-18 depending on seller.
If I wanted pay to play, I’d go play Wow!
Then make a group yourself. Make sense?
Arah isn’t that hard. Any build, any class, any method can do it. Some paths are longer than other, some classes & methods took more time but all is doable.

I wonder if this will be fixed on Tuesday.
What month & year?
People against selling Arah paths mostly (99% at least) can’t solo Lupi and bosses. Am I right?
Do they sell AC paths in NA because I haven’t seen any yet?
I want to buy to level my necro up as fast as I can. Jesus, it’s painful.Be aware that you can only get the full 70% of level dungeon exp twice in a row before DR kicks in. It resets in about 30 minutes.
Thank you. I keep that in mind.

One NCsoft game is good enough for me.
Because teaching people who barely know their own class
How was i able to teach you then?
OI YOU LISTEN ‘ERE MUTT.
I knew the dungeon, not the class, it’s different :P
AND WE WERE ON TS, AND IM AWESOME, GOD.
Level alts via swapping in at the end of dungeon, completely gear in full Zerker scholar, ascended trinkets, stacking and night/undead/force combos for weapons, then learn the profession. That’s how you do it right?…Right? This post troubles me if that’s not how you do it. I use arah tokens to buy all my weapons and armor, get scholar rune and my sigils. Then run dungeons to learn a new class. Have I been doing it wrong!? :O
2 completely different subjects. He levels up his char by swapping char at the end. You learn your class by running dungeons.
My signature is the best. And I’ve seen people buying bridges left & right before fracture released.
Dub uses 17K health on ele. GW2 base players need at least 21K for ele & thief. All other classes need to go above 30K.

I thought this is a FAQ, not deteriorating into a rant?
Cool. Didn’t know that AC is selling.
I need to level up my necro (level 35) and after got 15 levels through crafting, I told myself who would be this insane to go through another 45 levels. So definitely there is a demand for it.
Awesome. (15 chars)
vv
I would suggest you do not post specific dungeon guides, builds, solos videos in FAQ with only 1 exception, Wethospu’s gw2dungeons.net.
Wethospu’s guide is a complete general guide about dungeons w/ pertinent information about monsters and bosses. Just advise them to search for specific guides of dungeons or builds if they incline. You will eliminate many headaches coming from making decisions what are good, what are bad and arguments coming your way later.

I was just curious to see what would be the differences between 100 pt in pwr vs 10% increased of precision between the 2 gears so I just whipped a quick spreadsheet to compare raw damage of my guardian using 10/30/10/x/x. All weapons (berserkers, sigils, ruby orbs) and trinkets (ascended) stay the same. The numbers are followed:
PVT power 2380. Knight power 2290. Both weapon set report ~100 difference in power.
Critical chance for PVT 65.42%. Crit chance for Knight is 76.39%. Crit Damage both at 76%.
Using 10 swings to calculate the raw damage of both set using the wiki formula.
Total Damage by PVT is 36,649 and 39,737 for Knight. Remove the 10 pts (precision toughness) from valor doesn’t make much different (PvT’s damage 34,185 and Knight’s damage 36,651).
The 10% difference in precision causes higher damage w/o taking in consideration of what frifox has said above.
link to guardian build
link to crit hit
link to calc damage
I think my premise is sound but you never know.

I used long bow on my ranger once w/ Broadicea & friends in CoE when he’s still around. It hit 10K consistently on rapid fire & QZ. The only problem is by the time, I killed one mob, they already killed them all. So I quit using long bow. No fun.
Only Laharl has that godly patience. After playing the game this long.

I don’t mind dungeons being ignored. If the Aetherpath is any indication, any changes made would almost certainly be for the worst, so staying with the dungeons we have is for the best.
This.
I sometimes deal w/ our customers to solve technical problems and I noticed if customers are angry, it means they still want to keep the relationship. Once they don’t care anymore, they just quietly walk away and it would take years for the bad memory to fade away for them to come back.
Berserker is only good if you’re not drunk.

+10.
This isn’t a welfare system.
I used to be a shout heal warrior when I first played the game. Now, once in a while, I still hit FGJ while skipping through conditioning mobs.
This article sums up very well the differences in player’s mentality.
Introducing…the Scrub
The derogatory term “scrub” means several different things. One definition is someone (especially a game player) who is not good at something (especially a game). By this definition, we all start out as scrubs, and there is certainly no shame in that. I mean the term differently, though. A scrub is a player who is handicapped by self-imposed rules that the game knows nothing about. A scrub does not play to win. Now, everyone begins as a poor player—it takes time to learn a game to get to a point where you know what you’re doing. There is the mistaken notion, though, that by merely continuing to play or “learn” the game, one can become a top player. In reality, the “scrub” has many more mental obstacles to overcome than anything actually going on during the game. The scrub has lost the game even before it starts. He’s lost the game even before deciding which game to play. His problem? He does not play to win.

I know how to skip all the way to Lupi. The problem is I’m very bad at jumping. All of my friends know that.
Anet wanted to encourage Arah path selling so they broke things to scare pugs and bads away.
…
If you connect the dots, it does look like that way.
Before Sept patch, path selling was barely exist. Maybe a couple Arah p4 here & there for impatient people but you always could find party for it. After Sept patch, Arah sellings are everywhere but mostly for path 4 & path 1.
After the late ninja fixed, path sellings are even more everywhere for all paths, even w/ path 3. More noticeable is path 2.
Conclusion: Anet encourages path selling. Path 3 will be next.
Once they complete the renovation of Arah, I will change my career from a virtual warrior to a virtual saleman. Awesome.

You can make KAT2 or start yourself an instance like this “Path 2, no skipping. Kill everything inside”.
Is that hard to do?
People always give an explanation why they are against this or against that. That explanation is for the public consumption and it makes them feel good, but the true fact is they are not good at it, in term of skills. If you can skip/kill all by yourself, a testament of your skill, there isn’t any thing left to debate whether you do it one way or another.
BTW, it’s actually a test to see how many vocalized people against skipping would join the guild, because it was originated from a complain thread against skipping like this one. I specifically said I would not join a run (why would anyone created a guild but decline to run w/ them?) and it was just a service for the community. Didn’t expect many to join and it’s exactly so. The people who joined are lurkers and 2 friends. And at that time, our Arah guild was running full speed, and no one in the right mind would try to kill everything in Arah then & now, except when boring and want to see how long it takes. And once you could do Arah all paths relatively easy, CoE difficulty is way many levels lower.

The bear is so awesome. I couldn’t last very long w/ many kicks/swipes in my face like that.
You got me.
Was seeking advice from friends last night about making a new char w/ a necro and seeing this.
You will see my epic one in a new thread soon…. please no spoilers
I was checking dungeon forum after I dragged myself to work this morning. And I also check the class sub-forum to see anything there. I can’t hold any secret any longer.
Ed: They moved it to here..
The bearbow ranger.

Ah, I see your point.
I didn’t really consider that as a guild as much as a place holder for players to find each others. So that’s more in line of my thinking of parties than a guild.
As a matter of fact, I have no faith in what’s considered exploiting whether it came from Anet or anyone else. Subjective interpretation or release for public consumption.
The only thing I would object is if the player using the exploits to evade the contents when they lack the skills to do it otherwise. Like using the boat in P2 when they couldn’t skip the normal way alone. Or you show me you can solo Lupi, you can skip.
Having skill, do whatever. No skill, don’t exploit.

It’s not acceptable if the party decided it’s not acceptable. And If I’m in that party, it’s not acceptable. Or I leave.
And vice versa.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
I created that guild
[…]
those who couldn’t skip don’t know their class very well..Your thread made that clear when you said the guild was just meant to not skip anything but that exploiting/glitching bosses was acceptable.
I know it’s a very old thread, so not judging you based on it, just thought it expressed well that not being able to skip usually shows lack of class or dungeon knowledge.
I think you read more than what it was there. There is no definitive wordings of mine saying it’s acceptable or not acceptable.
This is a Kill-All-Things Guild, not Kill-All-Things-Exploited or Kill-All-Things-Non Exploited. Whatever they want to do in any circumstances is their choice. I have no saying whatsoever.
You have all the right to play the game you want to play. So do others. When the 2 strong opinions collide head on, either you will leave the party in the mid of the run in disgust or they will kick you. And that’s what something I don’t like to see.

He forgot how structure initialized in C++ and messed up decimal counting w/ structure counting. And now it’s a mess to fix it. /s.
Maybe we should form a coalition of dungeon/Fractal players who prefer to kill rather than skip?
Funny enough, someone did try to make a guild that did that (I think they called it Kill All Things [KAT] or something), and invited all the people who wanted to run dungeons without skips. When last I heard, they said that it was a complete failure.
However, despite this, I would say that if you really want to do dungeons without skips, finding a guild/group of like minded individuals is probably the best way. The second best way is to make sure your lfg description states your intention to kill everything very specifically.
I created that guild and after several months, only few souls joined and couple of them are my friends who didn’t want me to feel lonely.
Nikaido told me it is the failure at the start because incompetent players couldn’t skip so they said killing the mobs is easier.
For me, I don’t give a freaking care one way or another, I could do both easily w/ any dungeon, but I have to say, those who couldn’t skip don’t know their class very well..

It’s pretty amusing that instead of fixing a bug, they completely change an entire path. Guess they have a lot of time on their hands.
The funny thing is that their argument was: people didn’t run this path often. Then why the hell were there about 200 threads telling that the boss is broken and that’s why the path was never run?
As w/ all politicians, there are explanations given to the public for consuming, and there are reasons internally known to them. I would laughed into my face decades ago if I know I would type this in the future. In a game forum.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
I use this cursor overlay program described in this thread. The program doesn’t lock the cursor in fix position like other cursor mods. What it does is just painted a border cursor on top of the regular cursor which Anet lost track of their cursor during movements. When Anet’s cursor got lost in the wilderness, you still see the black cursor is still where the original cursor supposed to be.

…
It’s the equivalent of a baker selling a cake for $200. Instead of saying “oh, that’s too expensive” you pretend to shop at his store, and then you smash the cake on the ground, then run away.
They don’t need to run away because the government is still gathering feedback.
Path selling starts proliferating after Sept, 2013 token gate introduced. Before that, path selling is a very rare circumstance, even for Arah p4. And I’ve ran Arah so much in the past to know the differences.
People is making lemonade out from the lemon Anet giving to them. And the try-hards are also the consequences of that lemon too. The more Anet band-aid Arah and other dungeons, the steeper the slope because running dungeons would be more & more between close tied group of players hence less & less information changing hands.
If they introduce ascended gears in dungeons, I would expect even more path selling.

The fix is too easy and it doesn’t justify his salary whether he’s zero paid exploited intern or minimum paid intern. And if he’s fully paid dev then well …

How much is path 2 selling now?
Change the definition quietly or prefaced w/ working as intended is the way to go. Fixing it to the common expectation, by default, is admitting sloppy mistakes which is a guaranteed failed grade in my inspiring future politician class of -101.
Ignoring the problem until it goes away — that deservers an A, no?
It also a failed grade because ignoring problem is too blatantly ignoring clientele and a dumb way to remove good wills. We want them confused so we can sell more bridges hence we do not want them mad.
A better way would be is to delete the whole discussion based on certain rules not followed by some messages. No moderation but complete destruction of the discussion due to certain rules not observed. In one genius stroke, the problem disappears and the users have no way to complain.
OK, enough of off topic. Let get back in the waiting & guessing game. Thanks

I would guess that they may come from the WvW zerg crowd and have no idea about the differences between the 2 environments. Same problem w/ so-so players w/ zerk gears in PvE trying to roam w/a small group in WvW.
