Let it go Broadicea. They’ve been Arah for too long so sometimes they forgot what they were when they just started. As a matter of fact couple days ago, I was in Arah w/ my warrior and I had no sigil of energy at all. Sword w/ accuracy & GS w/ undead. Way into p2, I realized that I forgot to switch it and that’s how I died right after my realization.
OP: If you can find someone to duo w/ you, it will cut a lot of time to learn what to response during phase to phase. You will learn the same way by soloing but it would take much longer to learn.

Dear Dub,
1) I am not belonged to your GW2 graduate program so I’m fine where I’m which is average as I’ve already graded myself w/o your help. Thank you very much.
2) I didn’t want to occupy permanently The Grand Temple of The Pantheon like you do so a couple burglaries of the temple after murdering the principal resident is satisfactorily enough.
3) I play how I want it.
Did I miss anything?
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
The ignorance level is so high. 99.9% of people soloing hard contents know more about team work than the below average players do but I doubt you know any of them. Because as I said, if you did it, you would know it. Obviously you haven’t done it yet.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
The only truthful benchmark is against the best players this game can provide.
If you watched the solo videos of those have put up against Lupicus, Mossman etc and you don’t know where you’re at, then you are a very bad player. Because only when you’ve tried it then you will know. “I could do it if I want to” excuse just doesn’t cut it.
And this is from the perspective of a casual, slow player and as average as you can get.
I love free loot.
@AntiGW: Not all players are created equally so why are you trying to force us to be equals?Nobody is trying to force you to be equals. You can be as unequal as you like.
The game however, needs to encourage a more tolerant and respectful community. It should not encourage your elitist discrimination and hate towards other players.
THE IRONY
You got to it before me :/
His hate is for the better of the community, your hate is bringing everybody down.

The crab theory. Just look at all serious threads to get help in Arah & tough contents, max dps & builds for dungeons and you will notice the absent of those famous under-achievers.

You guys crack me up.
Best end game of GW2.
Wait. Where are people like AntiGW, Sublimatio, Floryn etc?
I’ll just pm Floryn ingame and invite him to some runs.
Always when i do that it results in the same scenario, though. Can’t ever feel the glory of proving someone sucks because instead of actually admitting they’re kitten they always disappear and never come back.
I’m pretty sure that is ALL the cases.
Do you even have a clue who will get mostly punished if they make mobs unskippable without reducing their hp 2-3 times and improving their loot tables? Even the dev anet fired knew it. You apparently do not know it.
Everyone that is used to getting loot without fighting the mobs.
Flew right over your head. Right. Over. it.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
Interesting. All the loudest mufflers certainly disappear quick.
I go back to high school to see what they taught there that makes GW2 community is so special.
You guys are really nut.
Congratulation for proving that WrongBow ranger is indeed OP.

They are offering their time and expertise in exchange for your Gold. The part I dislike is that in the end, they are STILL benefiting from the rewards for completing the dungeon AND your gold too (also considering the fact that if you aren’t a scrub, you assisted them in completing the dungeon). So basically, you are paying them for their time/expertise AND the opportunity to earn gold using your assistance. It’s a bit of a scam IMO.
You are very wrong and it seems to me that you never solo any path on sale so you have no idea what’re you talking about. It’s piece of cake for those could do solo & duo and they can complete the dungeon w/o any assistance of any buyers. As a matter of fact, the buyer can just afk & doing nothing to get the end reward.
Speaking of those not skipping Lupi only.

RESURRECTION!
FIFY
If dealing damage sigils work the same way, then Anet is my kind of programmers.
I like the frost gun more than the rifle. I brought both of them w/ my warrior to Tequatle fight as my exclusive weapons of choice. And still do more damage than afk players at the zone.
…
probably won’t unless it gets great reviews, I don’t like subscription games. I’ve been getting back into D3 since the big updates are coming early next year.
I gave the game away to my son so I need to get him another copy. My Battle tag is ToothFairy#1190. I’m also waiting for the release of Bungie’s Destiny.
I HATE STACKING. I like a challenge and I NEVER skip kholer or any optional boss.
I know a Gorilla boss in Arah P1 who would like to meet you.
I run arah p1-3 every day and have never fought that boss. I’m kinda curious now lol. I’m guessing he is just annoying as all hell with knockdowns and what not.
Knockdowns are the easy part.
Next band aid, remove leap (or cripple it) in all skills.

Not much, I would guess. They might not be skillful but I don’t think they are that dumb.
There is no prestige in DM or commander tag. You can buy it or you can get carried.
Only you know whether you deserve it or not so it’s no use to say one way or another because on internet, every one is a princess/prince and pig does fly most of the time.
The best human’s invention bar none is band aid.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
I would said that people who complain about skipping is either don’t know how to use their skills to skip mobs or not good enough to kill boss w/ a limited number of players.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
I deleted the guild KAT (Kill All Things, so people can group together and kill mobs w/o skipping) a while ago. During those several active months (3 months?), the number of players joined are 10 including me. 8 in NA & 2 in EU. 2 friends joined the guild just because they didn’t want me to feel lonely. Compare that 5 players in NA & 2 EU in 3 freaking months to the number of people joining the NA Arah guild which had hit more than 100s within first few weeks of its creation and it tells you what you need to know.
This is a proof that on internet, there are more loud bangs from a couple bad mufflers.
BTW, the day I still arranged for Lupi melee’s practice, we did clear the mobs in the room in front of Lupi chamber, champions included so players can run back easily. Otherwise we skip dungeons like 99% of the time.

With all the uproar about how everyone should be 100% berserker dps-focused, it’s nice to hear a story of how a tanky, defensive focused player can make a positive difference in a group.
How do we know he was defensive focused? I spend every night in my full zerk guard ressing PVT’s at lupi. Erry nite..
Why do you rezz them?
Because he’s more sadistic than me.

I choose you, Swifty.
I applaud your effort. That’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Practice my ranger 1H sword w/ Alpha. Then Obal told me, use your dagger. Oh yeah.
Dub could be anything but his honesty & down to earth is his trademark. I remember way back when Dub attempted to solo Lupi with a guardian & we’ve talked about the 10/25/0/25/10 in the Guardian sub forum. Someone has used that build before that.
Nike, if you have time & inclination, could you check these builds for me against “Dub” build: 10/30/10/10/10 and 10/30/0/20/10. The 1st one could get close to 100% crit chance & 100% crit damage w/ proper buff. Same usage but I just couldn’t let the 1H Sword goes w/o fightting.
Thank you.

The best part about all of this is the ‘debate’ always turns into a bunch of monkeys throwing fecal matter at one another. I love GW2 dungeon forums, doesn’t matter what the subject is about, it’s always gonna have the same ending,
Coming from somebody who’s posts are full of “fecal” throwing at others. Please try to be respectfull for once.
This… is actually true.

I have to respectfully agree.
I dont know any decent dungeon runners that actually show off their DM title. Showing off DM is usually a sign of someone whos so proud of being carried to get it at last.
No offence guys, out of my 6 classes, only my ranger was allowed to show off that title way back when. Now since she’s a legitimate contender, I remove that title off her too.
Well, Dub. The least I could contribute to this thread is proving that your English comprehension is better than mine.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
I don’t feel anything. It’s just a game deteriorating slowly, so who cares. Besides, I always blame the internet.
These guys have a way to make you feel excluded if you don’t belong to the club.
Chuck, the door you were talking is the open door while they were talking about the close doors.
Weth,
I was paying attention at your code & your table against the other guy’s spreadsheet so I’ve probably miss that. The way I look at it is it’s inherent bias to level 80 for whoever could add more points after the base 916, definitely would win the number. So yes, 450 more pts in trait would win that part hand down.
Next: rare gear (theoretical discussion, players definitely not using it) has 5% advantage over exotic per piece (assume they are uniform), would 6 piece of rare gears add more to stat points hence overcome the 450 pts in trait?
As a side note, my questions are curious in nature. Not trying to prove you wrong or anything. I don’t like to re-invent the wheel but I want to make sure the wheel isn’t a square one.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
Nah, I don’t think it’s complex. They must have that already to account for a lot of things that affect the outcome of certain trait’s selection (and bugs). And if you really stand back to look at this game’s architectural design, it’s an awesome undertaking.
What if Anet used different algorithm which is also including traits of a level 80s to adjust to level 35 level? I’m pretty sure that they know level 80 have 450 pts more than level 35.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
Definitely a great idea.
Any good ele build lately? I have not run my ele in ages but would like to try again. Her current build is 20/30/0/20/0 and 10/30/0/20/10
So in theory they can get pretty equal stat-wise because level 80 also has more traits, if level 80 uses armor with critical damage.
But do you honestly expect level 35 people to wear full rares? (which get weaker every time they level up)You asked for a proof and I noticed that you compared Master gear w/ Exotic gear and missing the rare gear in the data base. I thought it’s nice to point that out.
Whether people wearing level 35 rare gears or not is entirely another subject and not under the discussion whether level 35 could do more damage than a level 80.I compared Exotic to Masterwork to improve and clarify results from laokoko. Also at that level Masterwork can be considered realistic (perhaps even bit optimistic), at least I really don’t expect random pugs to run in full Rare gear.
And I really hope you don’t consider that a proof of level 35 dealing more damage. If you do, I suggest taking look at the trait system.
There is no proof one way or another. You took some unofficial spreadsheet from someone who has done some experiments in trial & error and think it’s gospel. Common sense dictates that Anet must have a complex data base or equations to dynamic scaling level to even the playing field. This data base or equation has probably included everything contributed to a player stat in the game.
You have access to that table? If you do, then you are correct. If you don’t have it, then it’s a speculation.
Based on that speculation, the stat of Rare gears is better than Exotic gears. But it’s still a speculation nonetheless. And no, thank you. I don’t really care that much about this game to investigate further about some magnificent fractional points of certain stats to make certain few seconds faster or slower.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
I think I have more fun reading the drama here than playing the game.
I don’t think gw2 is serious business to the point of giving a kitten.
Getting these records might be fun for some of the remaining players but personally, I can hardly find the desire to log on anymore because this game just doesn’t deliver after a year, it’s still the same old 8 dungeons + fractals.I would say, that I am very surprised that there is still an hardcore base trying to make this game more hardcore than it needs to be. This game is not meant to be fun. They want you to do open world crap. Dungeons? what are dungeons? anet doesn’t care about dungeons or more organized group activity.
If you care enough about what is a “legit” speedrun and what is not, you should probably not play this game.
Do I condone “exploit”? I don’t explicitly condone them, but I don’t give a kitten either./thread, +1, etc
Agree.
Level 35 Masterwork breastplate has 26/19 stats.
Level 80 Exotic has 101/72 stats. Scaled down those become: 28.23/20.12Level 35 Rare has 21/29 stats.
So in theory they can get pretty equal stat-wise because level 80 also has more traits, if level 80 uses armor with critical damage.

For most starting players, with the exception of those just happened to become elitist immediately, PVT gears are just the peace of the mind since they have no idea what things they are going to get into. With more experiences, many of them will eventually elevate toward the berserker gears for a very simple reason: If you kill fast, you have less chance to make mistakes.
PVT gears are also for macho men because the longer it takes to kill boss w/ zillions HPs and 1 hit kill, you have to be almost perfect or else. You don’t see macho men a lot lately because all speed runs & solo videos are inundated w/ wham bam thank you m’am people who are also afraid of making mistakes so they are armed to their teeth w/ you know what.
Yeah, zerker gears are for chickens.
Wait, am one of the chickens.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
What have changed you Cookie? You’re in 2 elitist guilds and you sound different.
Implying we never take people with us and teach them things… Except, we do. It’s just not worth my time to explain a lot of things to PUGs, because typing it is quite bothersome, and chances are pretty high they’re idiots who won’t listen anyway.
Also the reason I hardly ever PUG, and if I do, it’s usually 3-4 guildies/friends and 1-2 PUGs to begin with.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where this board gets its reputation.
It isn’t your skill that makes you an elitist, it’s the unwillingness to communicate with the “commoners.”
It’s not true. It’s very troublesome to teach the same thing over and over to a different group at a different time. I quit running w/ pug for a long time due to this only reason.
(edited by SkyChef.5432)
What do you mean by they don’t care about dungeons? They’ve fixed the reward system, fixed the cutscene in the Shaman fractal, leave the dredge fractal, the TAFU and many other “bugged” paths alone after so many agony hours of discussions of whether they are intended or unintended by the previous designers. These things just do not happen all by themselves, you know.
I would suggest you using some sort of recording videos so you can record your fight and see why you’re hit at the time. Very good learning tool to study boss animations, reaction time for you.
PS: For some reasons, free recording apps don’t work for me so I use a paid Fraps.
