Anyone who insists that any other thief weaponset is better than D/P has clearly never played the other weaponsets.

D/P is the most frustrating, easiest, face-rolliest, and overall scrubby build in the entire game. Yep, I think hambow warrior takes more skill, has more counters, and is generally more difficult to play than D/P thief. D/P blind-stealth spam is a downright insult to a lot of this game’s mechanics and makes thieves appear way stronger than they appear to be when played with other sets.

Best thing you can do is challenge them to use D/D if they think they’re good at dagger mainhand and/or just ignore them.

It is because u r a D/D player and D/P is strong againt u.

D/D is way better in outnumber fights, and is not that hard to use as u try to sell to us.

There is always some one saying cheesy this cheesy that . . . and is always the hard countered side.

Then after fighting this Long Bro Warrior for 6 minutes waiting out his defy pain, stability and Berserker stance he finally fell and I was the victor. “An excellent start to this match” I thought to my self as I aquired my first kill of the game.

Only to look up and realize that they had back capped our home point and won the mid fight. Effectively demoralizing my Team Que tourney team and won the game with minimal resistance.

Long long ago, in a galaxy far far away, I once fought a guardian at our home point to steal his mace crack. Me and another squishy pushed to mid because there was a solo warrior there. I bassied up, and was able to basically stunlock the guy for about 5 seconds. While he’s running around like a chicken with his head cut off, his passive endure pain procced. “No big deal,” I said to myself, “I’ll just autoattack him to maintain poison on him and he’ll die in no time.” After about 3 seconds, his friends showed up and destroyed us all. The end.

You know, the only real role for a thief, roaming, now is done. . . as someone said before, it only takes 1 second to kill a thief in a group.

1.- The rank system was kitten. Glory farming, bye bye to the prestige of high real rank players.

2.- A whole new rank system was implemented, now you see a dragon finisher . . . bah.

3.- Worst side of SPVP (TROLLING), is a must.

4.- The biggest or one of the biggest threads of complains in the history in SPVP.

5.- The only map that directly hard punish professions with low CC.

What do you think?

The only funny part of this map IMO is how Anet decide to include it in SoloQ . . . a ranked system already bad.

Why would you nerf it?

It is well known that is a build only good to roam . .

and who cares about roamers? . . . other potential roamers.

You will never see a D/P in a PVE, Top Tier SPVP, Top Duels.

D/P has a roll . . . hit and run . . . stop comparing apples with oranges.

And answering your queation simple. . . Anet don’t nerf it because they already know that is a build only good to kill bad players out of the zerg . . . and they want a roll for that.

Hey! Skyhammer is great and you know why?

1. Its the only map where the points are the secondary objective

2. It makes engi viable

3. All unused pull, stealth, fear, stability builds\skills finnaly have a spot!

in my opinion skyhammer seperates the men from the women. All the hater just need to l2p. Stealthpull? Easy to counter. Just pick stability noob or counterpull or counterstealth or simply dodge or LOS. All l2p.

skyhammer has just such a high skillceiling that people dont see the complexity of this amazingly well designed map (come on it even has giant wurms and you can bug under the map, how kitten is that?)

so my proposal:

remove legacy of the foefire, khylo, temple and niflhel from soloqueues. They are just boring noskill maps. Let the hardcore players play those in teamqueue. Soloqueue should he all about skyhammer and the also amazingly designed map: spiritwatch. But that map deserves another thread to honor its awesomeness (big bear statue hello?)

make the single map elemination rounds of the tournament of legends on skyhammer! It would give so much skillfull play and finally some diversity!

and last but not least. Please shorten the spawn of the two bases to mid so that its easier to farm rank on my server.

hella you could even remove the capturepoints from skyhammer!!!

Hai.

There is this secret a few selected individuals know about, and I am now passing on this information to you: berserker gives you slightly more damage then valk.

But it’s up to personal preference I guess, some people have a hard time fighting against condition classes, and then valk would be nice for the added HP you get.

I use a mix of ‘serker and valk, since I find the added vitality is nice, and the decrease in damage isn’t really noticeable.

I would maybe start out crafting maybe 3 ’serker (head, gloves, boots or whatever) and use some exotic valk gear for the rest of you to see how it fares for you.

Again, this is MY opinion, and it isn’t really a recipe for what to wear, it’s more up to personal preference.

This is the best advice you will get.

i have trinkets and weapons ber and armor valk. . .

As my other friend told you . . . if you are going to use hidden killer, mixing is the way.

full berserker is for 100% burst builds . . . and IMO they are not good for WvW.

For WvW you need sustain . . . mixing is the way.

• Step 1: Spam 1.
• Step 2: Spam 2.

• Step 4: Tuck, roll, cry, cry harder.

Seriously, unless you’re a Scepter+X/Staff mesmer you can spam your 1 ability without a target selected and still hit things. This isn’t WoW, foo! You don’t need a target to swing most of your abilities!

If you fail to get two downed targets by swinging blindly, oh well! See Step 4.

X T D is just talking about fairness and it sounds like a solid suggestion to me. If someone can use stealth to stomp it sounds reasonable that someone can get stomped while stealthed as well, but of course as long as the stomp channel began before they stealthed. That shouldn’t hinder a thief or mesmer’s current downstate either.

Under that context then you should not be able to stomp with . . .

In SW:TOR, you have the option to see: All, Allies and Enemies in tabs (that would be nice). I also like the idea of an MVP vote option like in SW:TOR. You can’t vote for yourself, you have to vote for someone else on your team… the player then gets a bonus for the MVP placement.

Now I have never played SW:TOR but Adding in more features to let players feel more engaged or involved in each game would be fantastic.

These all could simply add mild bonuses to your PvP ranks, titles or perhaps even your Reward tracks, making unlocking these features more involving to those who play effectively.

Bonus Features for example:

-Revenge: gain a bonus for killing the player who previously killed you.
-Double Kill: gain a slight bonus for killing two players in X seconds.
-Triple Kill: gain a bonus for killing three players in X seconds.
-Massacre: gain a large bonus for killing more than three opponents in X seconds.
-Immortal: gain a bonus at the end of the match for never dying.
-Slippery: gain a bonus once your health gets below 5% and live.
-Head Hunter: gain a bonus for killing every member of the enemy team.
-Justice: gain a bonus for Killing an enemy that recently killed one of your allies.
-Vigilant:gain a bonus every X minutes for standing on a captured point.
-Persistence: gain a bonus for dying X times in X minutes.
-Pharmacist: gain a bonus for curing X conditions off allies.
-Medic: gain a bonus for healing X total health amongst your allies.
-Professional: gain a bonus for interrupting an enemies Heal Skill.

Some fun statistics to see per game would be:

-Total time spent incapacitated: total accumulated time you were unable to control your character.
-Favorite Boon: the boon that had the most upkeep on your character.
-Favorite Kill: What effect/skill from a source you control dealt the most damage.
-Favorite Death: What effect/skill more frequently caused your death.
-Supporter: Number of allies effected by boons from your source.
-Most grateful: The ally that gained the most health from a source that your control.
-Masters Reflex: Number of successful dodges.
-Toxicity: Number of healing prevented through poison from your source.

I prefer duel a hambow warrior or 3 turret engineer instead a thief. The stealth mechanic i have always find it stupid and broken. Im the kind of dude that finish what i started.

Amazing idea . . . would make SPVP more professional.

It would be good to store this information in another instance so we could always check the numbers from previous matches . . .at least for the current login.

This is because when matches finish it automatically loads the new match and do not give time to the user to check the numbers.

No seriously,let’s talk about what you said. First hambow is OP only because of the sustain from tanky amulets and strength runes > exactly like D/D ele. So the problem isint the class but the gear.

Bunker guardian OP? Yes it is but its their class mechanic to support your team. Its like saying thieves have too much mobility. Its what they are supposed to do , you can’t take it away.

Engi condi spam not telegraphed ? The only one that is not telegraphed is incendiery powder but again what makes it OP is the Balthazar runes and not a class mechanic.

Thief too much blind? So what warrior too much stun. Gotta deal with it.

Ranger bunker builds too tanky? They are only good in 1v1 and suck at everything else, you shouldn’t be 1v1ing a bunker ranger anyway it’s a waste of time.

PU mesmer and shadow arts OP in wvw roaming? Yes they are but who cares, both of those builds are beyond terrible everywhere outside of 1v1.

MM necro OP? lol how is it OP? The AI is stupid and the necro is just a HP sponge if he is running MM.

So yea some stuff is OP in certain situations but who cares. Also celestial amulet , baltazar and strength rune nerf would fix a lot of stuff.

Boys this is a business, and IMO a noble one . . .

Why you get mad if the company tries to profit? . . . they have REAL alternatives to never use your credit card.

Movement Speed vs. Damage in WvW

I once used (Like many) ruby orbs and my only speed buff was fleet shadow. That was enough for fights.
But You know the reality of roaming, Its 90% running around looking for fights, 7% chasing down some helpless zerglings and 3% fighting enemies that fight back.
So i decided some time ago that traveller runes Would be better. Yes They were.
But speed runes seem now superior because you can use more zerker/cav armor because you get a Lot of vit from runes. Traveller stats are just…almost non existent
To answer your question: if you want to be fast at roaming and kill fleeing ones, use speed incr runes.
If you want duels and zerging only, go strength or so

This . . . .

I have use Traveler, Speed and Strength.

Trust me man, for roaming the best is speed because of what he said, you can focus using more ber pieces stats due to the vit you get from them.

Traveler are nice, but since ferocity nerf they lost a lot. Better now speed, that they focus only in vit and swiftness (one of the most important boons for roaming thieves).

Strenght are great in duels, but for roaming speed is the way, the free utility slot is wonderful xD.

And the most important . . . they are cheap.

Why you don’t hide in stealth while the linch form goes?

In WvW a necromancer in linch form can destroy you, ONLY IF, you stay there to receive the hits.

Its like complaining about meteor shower from a elementalist, you have to be very kiteen to fight in the hot area.

The only time i got kill by linch form is when they caugh me with low hp and dont see it coming.

IMO engi turrets are a lot more devastating that this, and still i don’t think they are OP.

I made Valkyrie. Sure pure zerker is better in PVE, but i primarily play my thief in WvW anyway, and you only lose a couple %crit chance with valk over zerk which is nullified by HK. So is say ascended valk armor, ascended cav or zerker weapons, and all zerk trinkets

I don’t play ranger, nether have a ranger character and i can say that is not even close to be OP.

This is tooooo much guys, asking to nerf every class is not healthy, you MUST start thinking in roles, not in situation circumstances.
