My issue isn’t sustains, it’s that we had a bit too much of it. 560 vita is the sweet spot.
Deadshot is a better amulet than Sage for burn burst guard.
Depends if you take Radiance line or not. With Radiance line and using 1 handed weapons you get free 25% crit chance from that line. Plus pulsing fury from Sword symbol. You really don’t need 1050 precision from Deadshot amulet.
Plus (for me at least) that much precision with no power is not useful for me. With Sage and radiance line your power damage is actually useful,
i use the crit chance for cover condition with scepter with torment and bleed sigils on crits. its nice cover
also its buff the dmg a bit . still carrion yield more total dmg with 1900 power
I was running Burn DH last night using Virtues Valor DH lines. Using Dulled Senses and Zealots aggression with Permeating wrath to give Burn Vuln and Cripple on the Passive VOJ procs, Added Geomancy sigil on weapon swap meant I could give 3 condi on AOE basis and bleed on swap. That was enough cover condi for me . Using Sage Amulet and Balth runes and so long as I stuck to team fights and not 1v1 the passive VoJ procs happen a lot.

hello as you already might know anet has added asscended gear which is supposed to be a hard gear to get for basicly free from pvp the shards are way to easy to get, also what is better spend 600-800 gold on full set or play pvp for 1 day for full set ? this needs some heavy nerfing.
Pics of getting Full Ascended set in 1 day or it didn’t happen. SMH the hyperbole is strong with this one. ^

Free would be me sitting in HoTM just chatting and all of a sudden I get ascended gear. I actually have to play PvP. By your arguments I could say Fractal players get “free” ascended gear also just by doing fractals.

Does the Matchmaker use Skill Rating or Effective Rating (using decay as well)?
I believe the Effective rating is used for the leaderboard (to prevent people camping top positions by not playing). But for the purposes of Matchmaking if you stop for a week or so and have 700 pts of decay that will drop you 2 divisions. Does that effective rating get used to match you with other players?

Separate queues for Solo/Duo and 5 man Team Q should be ANETs goal. This current change hopefully brings back more players to PvP. Enough to support 2 separate queues.

Burn DH is in good spot. I played it last night and its fun. I think Symbol DH is probably still better overall for support/carry due to the symbol heals/dodge heals/aegis heals for the team. But there is some satisfaction at melting people in team fights.

no i admitted that i dont care who my opponents are so long as we won, don’t try and twist my words. your signature is literally ‘buff my main class, nerf everything else’ and think that speaks volumes on the kind of player you are tbh
yes but since ANET said that a VAST MAJORITY of players would solo or duo queue, in previous seasons if you queue with team it was highly likely that you would face many many teams of solo/duo pug teams and very few organized premades. So when I said you would rather have easy wins than competitive matches im only stating the pure facts of what was happening in previous seasons.
And before you say I don’t know what I am talking about. I belong to a pvp guild but I spent 80%-90% of my matches as solo/duo . The remaining matches where I was in a team on Voice comms with the right builds it was ridiculously easy to destroy pug teams. Simple things like not having to type in team chat and just speak telling my team mates where to go and if I need help makes a massive difference. It was too easy and frankly it was fun for a few matches but gets boring real quick.
The only fun matches I had as a premade was when we came across another premade but that was the exception not the norm.

People insist on playing solo and complain when they lost and then ruined it for teams who want to play competitively against other teams. If you want battles of individual skill ask for a duel system or make a 1 vs 1 match. Competitive league was meant for teams and guilds from the start. Unranked was meant for casuals.
You’re deluded if you think mixing premade teams and matching them up against casual pug solo teams was providing a “competitive” environment.
Why do you think “serious” teams organized their own scrims and tournaments? It wasn’t fun for them to stomp pug solo teams. Only people with low self esteem needed the help of premades to make them feel like they were good because they destroyed a pug team while on voice comms and optimal class composition.

I noticed a pretty big increase in healing when using sage amulet vs using marauder amulet. I think it went from 107hp to 147 (approx.)

Matches in the first few days are going to be very volatile. Just because you have played more than 20 matches and would like to see your MMR settle, you have to realize there are people who may have just started playing and so the system doesn’t have a accurate read for them. I would expect matches to be better and the resultant MMR gain/loss to improve from next Monday (you need the weekend players to have played their 10 matches).

With all the QQ about this class being OP or that class be UP, may I make a suggestion.?
Could you alter the top 250 leaderboard to have an icon next to the name of the person showing which class they played the most this season? (simple %. doesn’t matter if they multi class its just the class they play the most in ranked. ie the one they actually are playing when match starts not the one that they Q with.)
So at the end of the season, based on all the QQ posts we should expect to see 250 Dragonhunters on the list. (just kidding here. kinda)

I agree with Huskyboy. If you think its OP make one and play it. All it takes is one character slot. PvP is “free” level 80. Play it, if it really is OP then enjoy your easy to get Legend Status. If its not then you will learn its weaknesses and can go back to your fav class and will know how to beat it.
I have played DH (power and burn), War (power and condi), Scrapper (power only) and Rev (power and condi) in the past 4 seasons. By playing those I learned how to fight each and everyone of those.

Hey guys, I tested in the PvP golems.
It does work on Dragon Hunter (only the passive), but doesn’t update on the tooltip.
It is indeed bugged with Permeating Wrath. (both core and dh)
Ahh I thought it wasn’t working on DH because the tooltip didn’t change. I should have tested on Dummy

Cripple makes sense since guards are slow , so be able to keep up with enemies by crippling them is good.

im not all pro nerf dh. in fact i find them quite ez to kill once i played one for a bit. realized most are trash. but you COULD just have the button able to instantly set them off on your own. for a reduced cooldown.
I play DH a lot and even I agree that having some kind of self destruct (where the utility skill has a flip over button) and combo that with CD starting once the trap is triggered might be a good thing. EVEN if it is just add into PvP at first. This will prevent the back to back trap spamming.
Another one I suggested was that CD process remains the same BUT you cannot place a trap within 5 sec of your current trap being triggered (the trap is grayed out for 5 sec as soon as its triggered).

But really. You’re both right, come on. Different strokes for different folks, solo queue is more about luck, but team queue means you can’t really claim as much credit for your individual contribution, it’s about teamwork and coordination. Duo queue is a happy medium where you have some coordination and guarantee that one of your teammates is decent, but still don’t need to deal with the at-times complex politics of guild drama. Anybody can find one other person to play with, but definitely not everybody has the time to find a 5-man or convince an existing one to let them prove themselves.

Removing larger group queuing in ranked was a bad decision. Hopefully that comes back for next season. Solo queue is a complete crapshoot and only serves to appease whiners.
Bringing back Team Q only appeases whiners that are not good enough to play solo and need Voice comms and friends so they can feel good stomping Pug solo teams.

It seems that the passive burn increase is only for core burn guard. As soon as you spec DH you don’t get the increase…..I saw the tooltip still work for permeating wrath so long as you don’t spec DH. So im thinking its not a bug. ANET only wants the passive burn increase for Core Guard.

you do realize every player has to play 10 matches before their rating starts to settle and also everyone had a soft reset which means most peoples ratings are bunched up closer together.

It is you who clearly doesn’t read properly. The buffs were the Non DH virtues. When you spec DH you get different virtues and those were not buffed. The only Virtue buff a DH spec can use is the passive burn increase. (AFAIK, I haven’t logged in yet)

The decay seems to be separate counter which is removed at a rate of 100 pts per game played. So if you go for a month you lose 700pts. Play 7 matches and you immediately get those 700 pts back. Easy Peasy. (no not the team)

Now to further differentiate the True PVP Legends. They should differentiate based on the percentage of ranked games played as duo or solo. More than 50% played solo would Solo would get an (S) after the tile, more than 50% games played Duo would get (D).
Because obviously a well comped duo will have an easier time than pure solo. (Im still happy with solo/duo queue)

Low rated party member would start climbing quickly in rating, or high rated party member would start dropping quickly.
Enemies would update normally against the other team’s average.
