I’ve dueled warriors who can basically maintain perma resistance. Since when is “resistance” synonymous with “immunity”? It would be a little bit better if berserker stance didn’t give a pulsing resistance, which makes boon rip completely useless. Some of you may disagree with this, but that’s your prerogative

Please ask the warrior you dueled for his build that had perma resistance…I’d love to see it. k thanks

And berserker stance was changed to a boon instead of an ‘effect’ but if it wasn’t pulsing it would be completely useless since one steal or corrupt would negate a utility that has a 60 sec CD.

1. Leadership runes+healing signet+berserker stance. Maybe more boon duration, but I’ll have to ask him when I see him next. Basically for any downtime you have on resistance, you can just block or evade.

Leadership runes and using heal sig-> Berserker Stance -> heal sig will give you approx. 31 Sec of resistance.

Even if you decide to use Last Stand grandmaster trait (which no one will use except purely for dueling a condi enemy and even then Cleansing ire is better) you get max 35 sec resistance on a 60 sec CD

So basically even using the most gimmicky of runes and traits you get a 59% uptime on resistance. Thats soooooo close to perma resistance LOL. I how people like to exaggerate on these forums.

And now you’re gonna tell me they use seeker amulet or diviner amulet. Sure now they have resistance but no toughness and no vitality and mediocre damage.

Voice Function for SPVP

You want them to create a voice chat system when there are plenty of alternatives that perform very well?

An in game voice system works for PUG solo queuing . The alternatives (discord/TS) generally only work for premades.

I still don’t know why ANET cant/doesnt do it. I was playing an MMO/PvP game on APPLE iOS platform that had Voice chat and that was over 3 years ago. It was great when I was solo queuing. Heck even great for premades.

When I first saw Drazeh on his stream running Mace in a full power build with Berserker amulet I was wondering why he is not using axe instead. But it makes sense of course, you need the extra block and CC that mace brings if you run Berserker amulet. And on top of that, Skull Grinder is the better primal burst, even in a power build. It just has so much utility while being as easy to land as Decapitate (unlike Skull Crack where you needed to worry about timing and positioning).

For team fights in mid I would still run Axe but for 1v1s Mace is clearly better.

Ive been running GS/Mace/Shield on power warrior build with Marauder amulet this season. I like it a lot. Berserker amulet has more dps but IMO the loss of survivability is not worth it for me. But then again im average skill level at best. I would think top level players would be just fine with berserker amulet.

Mace was meta before the CD got increased then it was GS/Hammer. But HOT ruined Hammer and Axe was popular because the Auto attacks are strong. However ive always loved mace. Ive been using mace since HOT release in PvP and WvW.

I agree that they got nerfed hard. Im not saying the nerfs should be reverted but something needs to be done for their heals. Both Glint and Shiro require active events to heals. Glint needs you to be targeted which any smart enemy will stop attacking. Shiro requires you to land hits. I don’t know any other class that has those restrictions.

DH trap heal is very easy to trigger so that doesn’t count.

DH is still broken on many levels. I would say that symbolic Dh technically has no counter and beats any build in the game or stalemates any build.

medi trapper can be killed by engi/druid but not symbols

Ive played symbolic and meditrapper and while symbolic is very tanky I feel that if I actually want to kill someone in this century I would rather use meditrapper.

I main Warrior in WvW but for PvP a DH has it much easier than warrior. I can play both very well and I still prefer to use a DH in pvp because its just so much better. (easier to win with)

There are other classes to nerf before warrior IMO.

I agree. ive posted several times in last few days that to qualify for TOP 250 rewards you must have played at least 50 ranked matches this season. That’s not hard at all for even the most casual player. And will completely negate all the complaints people have been making.

Stop trying to face tank the damage. Traps are fine, stop standing in them doing nothing about it.

The problem with that is, they will just hit you with longbow which also deals a lot of damage, or pull you in if they can.

There’s nothing right about not being able to get near someone and still getting killed, while there’s nothing you can do about it except sitting it out and waiting till the traps are done.

No other class can do that and it’s been going on for long enough, either traps or longbow damage needs to be nerfed.

Then take a ranged weapon your self. It’s not like the long bow is an instant kill weapon.

Agreed. It’s hilarious when I slam a trap DH with symbol of punishment and aa with scepter while they stand there on point, not wanting to leave their traps.

LB has been meta since Cleansing Ire was introduced as mentioned above, however, GS berserker burst (Arc Divider) is a pretty big range fast hitting skill that in a team fight will always hit something. If you have sigils of leeching and hydromancy on your GS, It will automatically clear any blinds you have on you so making Arc Divider have better chance of landing.

I haven’t use LB in a long time because I don’t enjoy playing condi war and the damage is actually pretty mediocre.

How do they get constant stability? I’m curious. I know they can generate a lot of regeneration from super speed if traited.

constant stability is if they run juggernaut trait and use flamethrower in which case use retaliation and watch them die. No need to worry about their stability.

What selfheal has to do with holy trinity? I dont get it.

if you take away the ability of every class to have a selfheal (number 6 skill) then you go back to old style MMO where every team will need a dedicated healer/Dps/Tank whatever. The holy trinity.

Can you imagine solo q and you end up in a team full of DPS while other team managed to get 1 or 2 healers. Will be a disaster.

Should be easy for pros and will make sure you don’t get people trying to game the system with minimum number of games played.

Once one engi didn’t had weapons equipped, surprisingly he did good, and we won that game.

Once I forgot to equip weapons on my DH but I had all traps so was GG win.

i never played guardian in pvp as its not my playstyle and ive been playing since gw1 and 2 release.

i decided to try it 2 days ago. 12-2. never before played. hmmmm also im in gold but thats neither here nor there. class is cheeze right now bc of cap points being so small

I love it when people quote numbers like this but in my experience people exaggerate just a tad. Post your API link with pvp stats. Show me that you have only ever played total 14 matches on guardian (that’s ranked and unranked) with the 12-2 rating and i’ll believe you. Otherwise the old adage Pics or it didn’t happen apply.

My guildie plays core Ranger with crazy amount of unblockable attacks and he takes down DHs from range all the time. Gets whispers of “what the heck did you hit me with???”

And yet a decent bunker Ele can hold a capped point vs 2 players indefinitely while his team mates can 4v3 elsewhere.

Or in a team fight can keep DPS classes alive so well the DPS team mates can smash enemies.

Im personally very happy when I see an Ele on my team and get nervous when I see an ele on enemy team. Doesn’t sound like Ele is the worst class in the game.

Oh that is simple – an eternity. So no, I dont want that. Traps can stay. Heres what I would like to see:

- Trap is placed, skill is replaced with “remote trigger trap”.
- Trap will remain on the ground untill triggered manually, by an enemy player, or if the DH gets beyond 5000-10000ish range (shorter in sPvP, longer in WvW/PvE, maybe should be even lower to 2000-6000 or something, poor with distances).
- When triggered in any scenario above, trap goes on cd.

Simple as that. This stops the hideously OP double tap while not really affecting anything else. Now, if the trap damage need to be tweaked is another matter…

Totally agree with this. Having a range limit or a remote self trigger is a good idea. Make it so self triggering a trap does not give the DH the boons/heal from the trap. Only triggering by enemies gives boons.

Or have it so when a trap is triggered it goes on an additional 5 sec CD before that trap can be used again.

They should make traps go on CD when it is triggered by enemy. That way you won’t have layers of traps on point.

And if someone accidentally places a trap in a bad spot and nobody ever triggers it then what? Do they just never get to use that skill for the rest of the match? Do they have to wait 2-3 minutes for it to be available again?

I’ve seen this suggested so many times and I can’t believe people are blind enough to not be able to see that it is a horrible idea.

Its been posted many times and by myself also. ANET can implement a flip over skill so when you place a trap it doesn’t go onto CD unless triggered. However the DH can detonate the trap himself by pressing the button again (he doesn’t get any of the boons/heals if self detonated). (similar to Scrapper detonating gyros). This addresses the issues of double stacking traps.

Another suggestion I made was that traps remain as they are but there is an additional 5 sec cd AFTER trap is triggered before the DH can place it again. So he cannot do back to back traps.

You know what’s worse than seeing so many guardians in a match?

Seeing 2+ guardians on enemy team while you have 2 thieves on yours. How in the world a player decides he wants to play a class that is hard countered by the most stacked class right now is beyond me. Class stacking needs to be disallowed in ranked. But for some unfathomable reason ANET said it wasn’t a priority. SMH

Procession of blades does damage over time. If you stand in it, you deserve the damage.

When im playing Scrapper and see that enemy DH is using Procession of blades. The very next time i see him I use Elixir Gun 5 followed by 4 to blast AOE retaliation to whole team in range. Most DH just spam traps on cooldown and don’t notice you have retaliation boon up. If I can get a leap in also with Hammer 3 I get light aura for more lols. The DH can literally kill himself with that.

I recently (last few months) got my first few legendaries. Bolt was first since I played Rev a lot in Pve and Pvp(skin), plus I could use it on my DH in Pve/Pvp(skin). Then I got Sunrise for my Warrior (wvw). And just this weekend got Juggernaut for my Scrapper (and Rev/Guard/War).

To cut long story short I got weapons that were useable by more than one profession that I play, so if it doesn’t get used by one class I can use on another. I feel that’s the best way to get longevity out of your legendaries.

I still think ANET should make It that Top 250 ranking requires a minimum of 50 matches played. Heck for God of PvP Status (or Top 10) it should be minimum 100 matches played. If you really are deserving of the title you should be able to hold the top spot with 100 matches played.

Quick wins: Add WvW ascended armour

I have gotten 2 ascended weapon chests and around 3 ascended armor chests in the last six months. I have gotten about 3 ascended rings also.

These are coming from the reward boxes on the track. It’s quite rare, but they do drop.

2 weapons, 3 armor pieces, 3 rings in SIX MONTHS? You can get 5 armor pieces in about 2-3 WEEKS of casual PvP ranked play now.

Hi.

ANET, please make it so that a player is not eligible for Top 250 PvP leaderboard rewards unless they have played 50 ranked matches. Even though the season has been running for a few weeks I see so many players up on the top with around 10-15 matches played.

Im not saying this for my sake (im not top 250 material) but its not truly representative to see a player in the top 20 that has only a dozen matches played. We have about 5 weeks left on the season. A player only needs to play 1 game every 3 days to not get decay so that’s only 10-15 more matches before season end. How does a player playing only 25 matches (with say 80% win rate) compare to someone who has played 50 or 100+ matches during the season with say 70% win rate?

Also I will ask again please add an icon next to leaderboard names showing the class that the player has played the most in ranked so we can see the class breakdown by top players.

To me it feels like DHs seem even stronger because im seeing so many thieves in matches now and they blow vs DHs.

Had 3 matches last night where I had 2 thieves on my team and enemy had at least 2 DH. I asked if one thief would switch and they said no. I knew what the result was gonna be there and then. All 3 matches. Easy win for enemy.

Ive seen some really good thieves that can really help win a match with their mobility and Plus 1 ability but I would say a very high % of thieves are just plain bad. (at least based on the ones ive seen in my teams and enemy teams)

I think being able to drop divisions has become a real eye opener for a lot of people. Also, watching your MMR drop can hurt and be a reality check. There are no more safety nets. If you weren’t sure of how good or bad you were before, you are now…

One of the best things about this season. No more safety nets which enable “rank inflation” . Now you play bad you go down. Play good you go up. (ofc your team has to play good because one person cant carry the whole team)

You have to absolutely be much higher skill level than everyone else to do well with Rev now with all the nerfs its had. Its simply not worth it unless you really love playing the class. It does better if you can duo with an Ele to help cleanse for you.

Ive seen so many odd buffs and nerfs that I dont even try making sense of or pushing for fixes anymore. Revenant is bad, but I’m fine with having to try harder.

Power Rev is still pretty decent, it’s just not mandatory anymore.

Its decent but you just have to work so much harder than if you play DH, Druid or Warrior. In the past 4 seasons I personally played Rev (power and condi), DH, Engie and Warrior on an almost equal amount of games on each. Its just much easier for me to do well on DH or Engie now than it is with power rev.
