I remembered what happens if you feedback a pistol thief? I mean their attacks are projectile finishers right? So do they get confused too?
Can someone confirm this to me. I already asked pyro this before but here goes. The wiki says iMage is affected by the trait.
And it does but only the retal part bounces. But i was doing pvp yesterday and got hit by a single mage for 6 stacks on one attack.
It was an isolated situation so i was thinking it was a bug? Or does the bug fix also fixes this too?
Only 1 stack will apply if you get both traits. Just get confusing enchantments to get the same confusion but only using 1 trait

I mean, duelist+ethereal field is only 20% now.

8 sec cd on interrupted skills. that way you can still have a choice to take or CS or HM.
Wastrel’s is also a so so trait for a GM minor.

Hmm didnt think of it that way. So i think mesmer has to have something in regards of deception or clones that is on the class mechanic, like shatters.

I don’t think, at least for me, that power block is going to be worth it.
The 30/0/30/10/0 pure lockdown I’m running now is just too good with the immense amount of condi cleanse and 3 dazes using harmonious mantras. Having played pure lockdown extensively recently, I just don’t think 5 more seconds is going to make a big enough difference to warrant dropping what I have now.
My thoughts exactly, hell you can lock someone down for as good as it gets for 5 secs cd. It would be still though getting it over CS or Harmonious mantras.
UNLESS = Powerlock would be a GM minor for Domination.
I had this talk with Pyro the other day and I agree with Carighan completely. DE is too valuable in any build but at the same time, It kinda makes you have the feeling of being “forced” into getting it.
It is also the same with Blink and Decoy.
Try running with a build without DE or the two latter, or all 3 of them.
I wouldn’t see you fair so well against “skilled” players.
skilled= maybe try fighting someone without blink and decoy anyone of the popular players in OMFG. or just use decoy without DE. (PUs are excluded of course)
I am saying this because, instead of having the freedom of putting anything into the traits or Utility Slots, you are quite have the feeling of “you have to slot it in”.
The ONLY thing I swap decoy out for is Mimic, and I’ll be using torch for that stealth/target break. I also wouldn’t do this while roaming.

I would really hope DE to be part of the Mesmer Mechanic or even reincarnated on a different form. If nothing was tied to clones except of the sharper images trait then it would be okay.
But in reality every build utilizes clones, Even not running a shatter build, having DE produces the on-demand shatters for interrupts and invuln too.

Mantra of d is only 2 charges untraited. Timing is very much needed making ci not so bad. Also aa can be interrupted but i would rather save my dazes on clutch moments.

Me and Scam’s Phantasmic Interruptions WvW Variant.
GS: High Dmg, izerker for chasing, GS#5 for The Aoe Interrupt Syncing with CI
Focus: Skcamow uses Focus, also good for AoE interrupt, Cripple and Swiftness,
As you may know, Interrupt Builds have a higher skill cap making PU easier. A lot of practice for timing against other classes is needed.
For Halting Strike, I wanted to add it but not now. Mental Torment gives a solid damage percentage than Halting Strike. I have done multiple tests for it and yet to determine what formula it uses on its scaling.
So basically our build, is for the punishment/reward system of interrupts.
Interrupts root enemies while phantasms wail on them
The shatter part is the bridge that connect that gap. Mind wrack for additional damage and Shattered Concentration for boon strip.
The highlight of the build is the High Condition Duration (100%)
That is 4 sec immo on CI and Leap
4 sec chill on CI and Hydromancy
5 secs cripple on zerker and CI
6 secs blindness on CI

I made this argument over the lockdown thread.
So generally to be able to run an interrupt build you have to slot:
MoD or SoD
A Cleanse (mantra, Disenchant, Null)
Last utility slot will go to either blink or decoy or thievery
and that’s it. the 2 slots will actually be a given
Other builds have the luxury or getting Prestige for stealth and therefore freeing a util slot, or even adding 1 more stealth.
So Nettle, I am curious to see how you use your build. I mean it is feasible, I run a build before without DE, but without the majority of the stuff mentioned above, how do you use your build against skilled players.
Btw. For DE, against skilled players, I only use it for the clone production for shatters and clone death and even the clone AAs.
Skilled players can see right through DE.

Out of all the classes I face, stealth is what makes a class unpredicatble.
Same for a mesmer. Whenever that PU mesmer stealths, You do not know what or where to expect it.
I know you need time to be able to learn to adapt and anticipate your foe’s attacks.
But what if we reverse the situation,
Let’s say you are running a build without blink, decoy, DE, or MI. (Not necessarily all of em at the same time)
How do you become deceptive?
Without the DE, I feel so bland.
Without Blink or Decoy as an escape utility, I think the chances of me getting dropped are higher.
So does it mean that every build should atleast have of the above in order to be deceptive?
