No disrespect Justine, but anet made some of the worst support roles and skill designs in my history of mmo gaming and these suggestions do nothing to change that. It’s also suggestions like these that push player right back into dps zerker meta builds.
Druid is awful heal support outside of stationary combat, and we don’t need to make it worse because of the low skill players who refuse to improve themselves in wvw/pvp modes.

One of the most notable changes being made is to the healing values of the Druid as a primary healer. Base values for the Celestial Avatar heals will be reduced, while the healing power contribution will be enhanced significantly. The reasoning for these changes is that while we are excited about the Druid being an incredibly strong healer, we would also like to see that role as one of many choices in your attribute build.
I’m thankful the Devs realize the problem with Druid healing. But even with the planned CA heal nerf, how does “healing power contribution” buff factor into the changes? Does that mean Druids who spec for healing will get even more benefits? Or will the healing be the same as previous base healing should a player spec into healing?
It means that you’ll still run a stalemate with Druid so we need to nerf scrapper because it’s op.

We have nice numbers on paper, but the mechanics behind most CA skills are plagued by worthless design decisions, making especially #1 and #2 incredibly frustrating to use.
We could have had a skill that would heal for one million and bring the dead back to life, but if there’s only 1% chance you could actually land this skill, it would still be utterly useless.
Yup, and it’s constant changes that completely miss the marks on stuff that really needs fixing.
Love gw2, but the devs don’t do squat to evolve professions in a positive direction or address major issues.

We can change stats on those new Ascended trinkets from the new maps. Blood Ruby Band and so on… I want Ascended armor and weapons that work like that.
You can already change the stats on ascended weapons and armor, but not trinkets.

Sooooo…..am I the only one that noticed that ANet is making the druid more of a healer class…and in turn making the druid a part of the holy trinity, something they said they wouldn’t do?
The problem is that anet created a class system that revolved around dps… hence the crappy “everyone for themselves” zerker meta. Having damage plus support light builds made a system devoid of decent roles and diversity. This is not halo where everybody just brings a different weapon, this is supposed to be an mmo with a variety of quality professions, quality roles, quality builds…
Played city of heroes and each archetype and power set brought damage, but unlike here, there were good roles to play within each archetype and power set. Gw2 sucks for diversity and roles, and it’s something that needs to be corrected. Given the original intent of “all professions viable”, each profession should be able to build for any and all roles.

There was a post about the next big balance patch where they mentioned that some people would have to change the stat combos on their armor.
I’m assuming this means certain gear combos are being removed from PvE and WvW.
I imagine that the stat combo at greatest risk of removal is Minstrel’s, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Dire were also removed in the next patch.
How do you think this will affect the small scale scene? What do you predict will happen?
Personally, RIP Druid seems like it will be a thing. They confirmed celestial avatar nerfs, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Staff receives a mic drop nerf.

I’m curious what it’ll take to craft secondary precursor envoy armor in terms of mats and I’m hoping the devs will drop that kind of info a bit before they release the armor sets. I’m thinking it’ll just be like normal ascended armor or at least hoping it’ll be that way.

Please remove these tonics from wvw. There is no point in having them in wvw in the first place, and some of them, specifically the mummy tonic grant an unfair advantage in wvw in that when chasing an opponent down or running away, you can quickly transform into a mummy and use the dash skill – cancel the tonic and reactivate a new one, and do it again. Giving you an unlimited use 800 yard dash which is actually an unfair advantage.
Yup. Any tonics that provide movement should get the boot.

People complained about Thieves having a 1200 range SB they complained about Thief Stealth, Thief Burst and Thief mobility, claiming No class should have all of those things, let’s see here they nerfed Thief mobility and kiting range by removing 1200 range SB, they have repeatedly nerfed stealth on Thief as well.
Now fast forward to HoT Druid now rivals Thief mobility, has Easier access to stealth with no penalty for being in stealth, has more sustain than Thief and has superior kiting with weapons, not to mention the pet as well to help with kiting pressure.
So yes the community has said that no class should have all those things they had Thief get them all removed, so hopefully they take the same route with Druids, they need to sacrifice something, and it needs to happen soon.

Fight outcomes are up to the skill levels of the players. You complain about “sustain and passive” while running you 1000 toughness build lol. Players aren’t stupid to thief tactics and gameplay anymore… You get outplayed and come here complaining instead of fixing yourself.

Druids are certainly topping that list for me though. Nothing should be able to kite from long range and have solid DPS, great mobility, stealth and durability in small scale.

It gets asked often enough so I just upload 7min uncut of what to expect when solo roaming for anyone who may have left and wants to get back into it or new/bored people.
Some of this isn’t really new to roaming but it has definitely gotten worse.
- hot raised the skill floor so anyone and everyone has the potential to not instant die and still deal easy dmg with aoe/cleave everything lvl of skill.
- some how with that high skill floor people are still terrible and you will find it most effective to build to kill bad people more so than building a dueling character for roaming.
- Unless you like getting hunted down and killed like a dog for appearing to be OP/Hacker, stealth &/or mobility are necessary to escape the inevitable mob.
Just 3 aspects to keep in mind if you want to return/get into solo roaming currently.

2nd: Warrior (doesn’t take skill)
3rd: Trap ranger (takes skill)
Debatable: Mesmer (due to stealth, double blink, and alacrity). PU condi needs nerf for other reasons than movement. It’s probably the most successful solo roamer, but it takes somewhat skill to be unkillable.TL;DR: Nerf thief.

First of all id like to say im nowhere near a hardcore player or whatsoever, im playing casual just for fun but only WvW.
what i was wondering about is (not even sure if im correct since i said im not paying attention to the game) what can i get as unique thing from WvW?
i mean PvE has easy acces to ascended items through fractals
sPvP i believe has these wings? maybe PvE alsobut is there anything i can get through WvW which is ONLY way to obtain it?
i love WvW but it seems to have nothing unique, i wanna craft a precursor but i stopped cus i had to go fractals i didnt like it.
i have to farm a gold thru WvW which is freaking hard because i happend to enjoy Thief which is not a lootbag machine like other classes so farming Gold / Mats in WvW is hard also for me.Im aware of fact that the things i want take time which is fine im not asking for easy things but atm for me WvW feels like i cant work towards anything cus it has disadvantage on everything u wanna do in gw2.

There is a rewards track for the rare version and the devs are working on releasing the exotic versions. Iirc the dev mentioned these would be rank dependent purchasable items.

It’s an established fact that dwarves are a nearly extinct species that lost their ability to reproduce centuries ago because of their irriversable condition. And even if it could somehow be reversed, their numbers are too small and too spread out to sustain a viable gene pool. The remaining dwarves are(were?) slowly being wiped out by the destroyers through attrition. The few dwarves that still exist on the surface are preoccupied.Now, no longer interested in maintaining their solidarity as a race, the last dwarves scattered across Tyria, finding battles to fight in the deep caverns or making new homes in far-flung hills, ever-watching the borders where caverns emerge into the surface world. Those few individuals who can rightfully claim to have met a dwarf in their lifetime are rare, and all speak of the strange, driven passion that consumes these few survivors. It is unclear how many dwarves survive. Only two are known to have survived: Magister Ogden Stonehealer and Rhoban Orebreaker.
Who’s to say we can’t play stone dwarves? Humans aren’t from Tyria, Dwarf origin is unknown, so I’m sure they could have come from the mists as well. Perhaps not every Dwarven culture was turned to stone and they went into hiding.
There are plenty of ways to introduce them, it’s just a matter of imagination.

Do you need reminder that conquest is team player game? Killing somebody fast (and with high success rate) who caries his team by heals and has means to ress people fast under weak pressure isn’t important?
So you’re agreeing that in order to kill off a highly bunker class, a team needs to 3 v 1? You don’t even touch on the fact that your idea also means the other 2 people on the team needs to fight 4. Fighting a 2 v 4 because your team has to focus on a target is the reason why Eles were balanced to how they are now.

Yup, pretty much sums it up. Anet didn’t want to have a class that’s so bunker, that they could spec into all defense. Pro League players rage quit a tournament due to this. So in response, Eles were nerfed, and certain Ammys were removed from PvP.
Op plays engineer and says “stealth only supposed to be for thief and Mesmer so get it off Druid”, but forgets scrapper sneaky gyro…
Good Engis don’t use Stealth Gyro. If they remove it, that’s fine.
“Nerf Druid heal by 25%”… Learn to interrupt.
Engis have only 1 long range interrupt and don’t have weapon swap. If the Druid decides to fight in melee range, then we have more options to interrupt.
So instead of some of you getting better, just make a thread asking for the devs to nerf something so you don’t have to put in the competitive effort.
Not sure you PvP much against bunkers. Defensive spec’d Druids can out-heal an Engi’s DPS. If we had more gap closers like Warrs or Thieves, then we could have a better chance.
How about we nerf Engi because the Druid couldn’t kills you right? I mean, even with all those things you want to nerf on Druid, that player couldn’t get the job done solo and obviously would need back up… See how that works out?
I run around wvw all the time, fight against more builds and gear sets than in spvp, with any amount of players smashing on me at the same time…
Your op and subsequent posts are not any rational arguments. Like at all… Improve yourself first. Get better at fighting for circles and learn from each encounter.

I’m sure there are some per complaints too… Learn to dodge and move.

Let’s refrain from generalizing…
It’s almost 7g to level cooking to 400, without doing hearts, so you can save some loot in the long run.

Higher end recipes are just that, so I’m not going to argue, but they are hardly necessary or game changing.

Idk, I see this stepping on the level 80 food and utility market too much. However, I would be down with being able to purchase any recipe in the game with badges.
